This is actually Holly Ferguson. I have been taking private sessions with Melissa for over 2 years now. I was in pretty bad shape when I first walked into Twisted Bodies. I had posture issues, feet and balance issues and pretty much zero core. Melissa took the challenge seriously and got me straightened out! She started me out on the reformer, then moved to the Cadillac and now I am doing a lot of step/balance work, TRX and weight training. My posture has improved, my feet and balance are SO much better and most importantly I am stronger! I am turning 65 next month and feel this has been an investment in my overall health. I can't say enough about how grateful I am for this studio!

Twisted bodies is everything!! Been coming for almost a year now to a variety of classes and have noticed such a big difference in my overall strength and confidence. All of the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and will meet you at your level in order to reach your goals. Class sizes are also small to better ensure proper technique. In all aspects, it's truly a safe space for everyone - I can't recommend it enough!

Today I left mad... and it was all because these ladies know their Sugar Honey Ice Tea! I had a problem and Khristen did what she does and worked me to the solution. I feel amazing! Come have a class or private with these ladies you won't be disappointed and you will be hooked!

Tried a few different classes here but felt like its very much catered to the regulars who come every day and little help for new people who dont know what they're doing despite advertising beginner classes. Originally signed up for the Lyra classes but stopped after attending one that was over max capacity because they let one of the regulars come in who hadn't signed up in time which is just more of the favoritism. Kept giving it more chances because I really wanted to love this place but after having several friends go and feel the same kind of unwelcoming culture I reached out about feeling like i wasnt learning much and felt defeated and got a pretty lame gaslighting response trying to sell me private lessons and insisting the class wasn't over capacity despite us having recordings from the class showing there being 5 girls plus the instructor lol. I maybe wouldn't have minded had we still gotten some good instruction but I ask questions and basically just get a "figure it out" as a response while they focus on the regulars. This place is probably good for experienced people who have done pilates or aerial work before but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone new or starting off. The prices are very reasonable and apart from the total dismissal of my issues leading to me just stopping going altogether the staff was relatively nice just dont expect to get any helpful advice when you're struggling. I saw them correcting other people's forms all the time though but I never personally got any of that help even when I asked for it. I took about 15ish classes total and probably only left a third of those classes feeling accomplished or proud of myself or like I learned anything.

I signed up to the studio after the 3-class trial and I loved it!! I mostly do pilates and started pole a few months ago and I have seen a big difference in my body since. I feel stronger and my posture has improved as well. As a foreigner I felt awkward at first because of the language barriere but everyone, instructors as well as other students, were all very welcoming and I always received good advice to any questions I could ask. Thank you!!!

Twisted Bodies Pilates Studio is truly exceptional. After over a decade of practicing Pilates and three years of searching across North Texas, I’ve finally found the place that embodies everything a studio should be. Twisted Bodies is led by a team of expert instructors who are genuinely invested in you and your body’s journey, ensuring each practice is purposeful and healing. Pilates, when done correctly, has the power to transform your body, and at Twisted Bodies, every instructor is dedicated to that transformation. Their focus on precise posture and alignment is unmatched, leading to real strength and lasting improvement. If you want an experience that’s personalized and impactful, this is the place to be. Take a few classes and feel the difference that sets them apart from the rest.

I would give 10 stars if that was an option. I take private training from Khristen and it's been a revelation how my 64 year old body has responded to Pilates. The studio is welcoming to all and provides both classes and private training. If you're looking for a judgement-free zone that provides fun and fitness, Twisted Bodies is your place. And, if you're an older person, as am I, Pilates could literally save your life if you fall or become incapacitated in any way. I'm old, I'm gonna fall, and with Pilates I will be able to get up!!!

This has become my favorite place to work out. The instructors are so kind and knowledgeable. The prices are better than I was expecting for specialized classes (definitely recommend buying the packages for lower prices). Everyone that attends has been nice, and the atmosphere here is very accepting and comfortable.
Edit I've been going almost a year now! This is the only exercise I've been able to keep up with consistently. I can't recommend this place enough!!

I can’t say enough great things about Twisted Bodies! I have been attending this studio regularly for over a year now, and it has been an absolute gem and safe space for me. The women that run the studio and all the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and approachable. I have seen so much progress in myself from regularly attending and I also love that there is a variety of classes to choose from (and morning & evening classes). The space is super clean, equipment is always available and the class sizes are small so I never feel like I’m being overlooked and the range of membership options and frequent package deals are so great. 1000/10 please try this studio!!

Really welcoming & helpful for beginners!
Ok, so I really hate working out (LOL) and am woefully out of shape. I had no idea what I was doing when I signed up, but my doctors have been recommending yoga for a long time. I was so nervous for my first class, but everyone was so encouraging and helpful! The instructor was really comforting and offered alternative movements if one didn't work for me. The equipment was all high quality, and the space was very clean. Overall, just really loving it here. Also, the prices are great! This is the only workout place I've gone to regularly. I now do yoga and pilates and am looking forward to trying barre!

Best gym in Denton run by the most delightful and wonderful group of ladies. Non-judgmental and small classes to help you stay focused on your goals and not to mention a damn good time every time you enter those doors. They always make you feel welcome and comfortable and most of all, confident. 20/10 recommend. 😊

I lost vision in my left eye several years ago and started going to Twisted Bodies in 2021 for better balance, spacial awareness and strengthening. The results are nothing short of amazing. Kudos to the entire staff! The comfortable and clean work out space is a big plus, too.

This is where it's at folks! Amazing and very well educated instructors who have your best interest always at the forefront. Did I mention fun? Yesssss, it's fun getting into shape with everyone and I have found fellow clients to be supportive of each other. This isn't the type of studio that you have to have the perfect outfit, have to have a lot of knowledge, or already know what Pilates even means. This is the type That will help you get started if you have never tried any exercise classes or if you've been at it for a long time, they will challenge you a little bit. I have major health problems. For those thinking that they can't do it because of health issues, give them a chance. I will elaborate just a little bit, so others like me know they're at the right place. I have had 10 surgeries in the last seven years. I am a chronic pain patient with a pain pump in my spinal cord, just to wake up every day and be able to move around. I provided Khristen with multiple medical records and a note from my doctor so she could understand that it was not only medically necessary for me to exercise, but the things she was doing with me were safe. If I have a procedure and have been out for a while, or I have a change in my health, we always take time to reconnect and make sure that the things we are doing are correct. Every new exercise is followed by a question asking, " how it feels - any new pain.? Each week we try to get a little better. I have gone from barely being able to sit in a chair and only able to move my fingers, to riding my horse multiple times a week. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry, sometimes we vent at life. This is absolutely the best thing that has ever happened to me since my diagnosis. I noticed there were a few negative reviews. I am really puzzled by any of them after reading them, the girls at Twisted Bodies always go out of their way to make things right. With that said, they are a business, and do run their business in a professional, yet friendly manner. Everyone is welcome, no matter your size, your gender, or your skill level. I highly recommend coming and giving them a try.

This is a wonderful gym ran by some amazing women. The level of care they put into this business is beyond what many places give. The classes are fun, which helps make working out consistently a habit. Check out a pole or reformer class!

Never could get into a class for silks as you have to do safety training and they only offered it one day a month. 6 months of wasted money never used.

I recently moved to Denton from Colorado and was searching for a Pilates studio that fit my needs and felt like a family. I tired a few different Pilates studios before landing at Twisted Bodies. This was by far the best experience I had. I've been a client for 6 months now (give or take a few), and my overall health and wellness is thriving. Everyone from the front desk to the instructors are welcoming and engaging. Maya's reformer classes are therapeutic and challenging. If you've been searching for a pilates studio, I highly recommend Twisted Bodies. I promise you won't regret it.

I recently moved and was nervous to find a new pole studio. I'm so glad I found Twisted Bodies. I've been going to classes for about a month now and have enjoyed them so much. The instructors really care about safety and correct alignment/building strength, which is so important. Everyone has been kind and easy-going. I've only taken pole classes, but I'm wanting to try pilates as well! Great studio!

Update: I was not rude to the staff at all, I literally told her about the traffic incident but this place apparently doesn’t ever account some circumstances that are out of peoples control. The class would not have been distrupted with 3 minutes. I have cancelled my upcoming classes for this reason and was told I would be refunded for my 10 class pass because I will not continue to go to a place that cannot be accommodating for 3 minutes. It says something when the response is to tell me I am unable to time manage instead of trying to find a solution just glad I found out now the type of people run this place rather then put money into this place telling me I’m having a bad day and I can’t time manage. Ridiculous.
Literally 3 mins late and would not let me in! Things happen and traffic gets bad and other studios have a 5 min grace period not to mention they charge a $10 fee to b top of the class fee you already paid yet I was there. This place is very unreasonable and would not suggest going here there are other studios more reasonable not to mention have more to offer like silks and there website says they do but never do.

This studio is wonderful. Carissa and Khristen are amazing instructors. I love their sense of humor. If you get a chance to take advantage of private sessions, you won't be disappointed. Rosemary is kind, patient, and thorough and has exceptional knowledge of anatomy. I have seen so much progress from muscle imbalances( post baby and toddler). When I started my private sessions, I had horrible lower back pain and hip pain. As my core strength has improved, my pain is non existent. I have enjoyed all the classes taken at Twisted Bodies. Pilates (mat and reformer) have always been some of my favorite. It is much better to visit a studio where you can get plenty of personal attention and assistance. They have exceptional trainers. They also offer many teacher trainings if you would like to further your own knowledge. I am looking forward to taking advantage of their upcoming teacher training.

I love twisted bodies so much. I started going because some friends gave me some classes as a gift. Let me tell you, I am now so addicted! I have become so much more confident in my body and self image. Not to mention much stronger on the physical side of things. If you feel like trying it I would definitely recommend you take the leap and go for it! I have had nothing but a positive experience. My trainer is Kayla and she is absolutely amazing, she listens to what my health goals and traines me to further those goals!

I’ve been going to Twisted Bodies for over a year (taking both classes and private training), and I can’t say enough good things about this studio! I started with no experience with Pilates (or really any other form of exercise!) and the instructors were patient and supportive of me every step of the way. They take the time to teach you not only how to do a particular exercise, but explain the “why” of correct form, which is really important to me (so I know I’m doing it right!). And it’s always a lot of fun! Thank you Carissa, Khristen, and everyone at Twisted Bodies!

The classes are amazing and the instructors each have a slightly different style, so if you are doing three barre classes each week with three different instructors, you can always look forward to a new and never boring workout. Try everything they have to offer at least once. Barre, Pound, Pilates, Pilates Reformer, etc. As a plus, they have evening and weekend classes, which is a blessing for those of us who work all day during the week.

Teacher training at TwistedBodies is unlike anywhere else. Before I even registered, Carissa took the time to sit down and talk with me about my goals, and give me reasonable career expectations.
Each TT I’ve attended has included a functional anatomy emphasis, as well as anatomical terms and positions to accurate detail posture analyses and exercise positions. We cover special populations, and how to modify for just about anybody! Of course we also study the history of Pilates, so we can understand the root purpose of the exercises and why they’re so important.
Every training has gone step by step through the study materials, followed immediately by practicing the exercises and poses, and time for questions and workshopping.
On the last day, we review the material to be tested on to make sure each student feels prepared and knows what might be left to study before a written exam.
There are lots of opportunities for practice teaching in the courses themselves, and then afterwards with student teaching hours and shadow teaching.
I’ve never learned anything in a teacher training that didn’t help me at some point while teaching a group class or a private session, and each training I’ve walked away with at least one lesson plan ready to go already.
After training, it’s really only the beginning though. Carissa & Khristen are basically always available for questions about teaching techniques, anatomy, reviewing exercises- or anything movement based I can come up with! They always have very thoughtful answers and recommendations for further self-study. I’ve also asked countless business-related questions that they’ve been a trustworthy source for.
They cultivate an environment of humility and learning within their studio, so you always feel welcome to ask other instructors about their experiences as well.
If it weren’t for TwistedBodies, I doubt I’d be a Yoga & Pilates instructor at all- let alone be building my career in this field. I don’t think I’d even know it was possible.

I used to say I hate "working out" but I always did it anyway because I knew it was a necessity. But the instructors at Twisted Bodies make it so much fun I look forward to my classes and I'm sad on days I can't take them. I also learning so much from the teacher training program I've done with them and look forward to doing another one!

My default workout has always been running and I've struggled with finding something else that helps with overall strength training and flexibility that I actually enjoy. Twisted Bodies has a variety of classes so I'm constantly trying something new while improving my strength and flexibility. This is the first time in over 10 years that I've stuck with a program (outside of running) for more than a month or two. Carissa and Khristen are fantastic instructors as is the rest of the staff. I highly recommend that anyone who is sick of the traditional "gym experience" to try them out, you won't be sorry.

I have been going to the studio for a little more than six months, and this is the best I have felt about myself in a long time. Carissa and Khristen are two of the most amazing women I have ever known. I started out just taking the Pilates and Yoga classes, and now I also take more cardio with POUND, Couch to 5K, and Jumpboard. If you are looking for fast weight loss, then Pilates is not the answer. But if you are looking to change your body shape, strengthen your core, and build up your self-image, this is the best place in town! This is the place to get a good workout and meet some great people. I am always learning something new about my body alignment and how to work certain muscles. The workouts are fun, informative, challenging, and addictive!

I started taking Pole Fitness classes at Twisted Bodies in February and it has made a huge difference in my general fitness. My upper body strength in particular has increased by leaps and bounds. The Pole classes are always fun and Kristen (the instructor) is great at providing modifications or feedback to keep you moving forward. Every class you learn something new and every new move mastered makes it that much more awesome. If you want to learn sexy moves, try the choreography class. I can also recommend the Pilates and Yoga classes if you want to build up more strength or you want to steer clear of the pole. Everyone at this studio is supportive, inclusive, and non-judgmental. If you want to improve your strength and have a good time in a positive environment, this is the place for you!
