Upon my search for a new gym and fitness trainer, I came across Lenny at Unity. From the get go, I appreciated the mission and inclusiveness of the studio creating a welcoming environment to work out in. However, what really sealed the deal has been working with Lenny. Their sessions are tailored well and specific to your training goals while considering your any and all changes to your body- for example, random injuries and illnesses that could come on the same day as a training session. Lenny provides a supportive and comfortable presence all while pushing you, ironically, past your comfort zone. One thing ive appreciated through our training sessions is seeing my self hit goals that leave me jaw dropped and shocked- exercises I never thought my body could do, times that I never thought I could surpass, or weight I never thought I could push. Lenny really showed me how cool the human body is and what all I really am capable of. More than anything in a trainer- I wanted a judgement free zone and Lenny has been the most supportive thru my journey. They make you feel like everything is possible and provides you with insights of where you started that remind you truly how far youve come. I recommend Lenny if you are looking to start your day with a friendly face and positive energy, and a killer workout that will leave you feeling proud of yourself!

Frank is an amazing trainer and all around great community leader! I booked a 3 month 1/week training with him and he was able to walk me through correct form, safe workouts, and many exercises I could do on my own. I have an injury that I told Frank about from the beginning and he was always mindful about not hurting myself and listening to my body when it irritated me. I 1000% recommend Frank as a personal trainer to anyone who is looking to step up their workouts or feels like they need a new challenge.

Frank is a phenomenal personal trainer it has been a pleasure to work with someone who genuinely cares about the improvement of their client functional training, because of his training I haven't felt this great in years! As a professional massage therapist I can tell Frank is full of knowledge and will recommend his style of training to anyone who is hoping to improve not only physically but mentally.

Frank May is the best! Seriously thankful that he is available in Oakcliff! A hidden gem. I always love being able to support local businesses near me. Frank helps you understand what's possible after leaving the gym. He is very mindful of also supporting other local businesses by having occasional events to showcase what the area offers.

Core Fitness is one of my favorite gyms to workout at while in Dallas. A studio gym that does not get packed at peak hours and allows me to get in and out with my busy schedule. What makes the gym is really the owner, Frank May. Frank has a way of giving you his undivided attention and a way of understanding what your fitness goals may be and where you currently are. In the time that I have trained with Frank, I have learned a lot on how to properly perform exercises and proper nutrition for long term sustainable health. Always professional, the owner also strives to continue to learn more about health & fitness and passes along that knowledge to his members.
There’s also a very lovely lavender soap in the restroom.

I was looking for a locally owned place that isn’t stuffy and pretentious like the big box gyms out there, but also not intimidating as some of the boot camp shops. Core Fitness checks all these boxes. It is affordable, clean, private, no frills gym that has all the equipment you will need to focus on your core and strength training. I met the owner, Frank May for a free consultation and complimentary training session. I have been training with Frank two to three times per week for six months now and have never felt better about my level of fitness and overall health. Frank is a top notch professional and is an incredibly encouraging and effective trainer. He designs and guides you through each workout focusing first and foremost on proper form and safety while pushing you to the next level. What I love most is that not a single workout is ever the same. Frank finds a way to switch things up and introduce new exercises or adjust routine ones to always keep things fresh and interesting. Communication is a breeze. Frank is very responsive and flexible if you need to make changes to your schedule. I highly recommend checking out Core Fitness if you’re looking for easy access to a quality gym or looking for a trainer who is invested in you and helps you get results.

Core Fitness is exactly what is in the name, core fitness. Every session with Frank was a monumental session because not only was my core being worked and conditioned but I was also receiving knowledge to help me keep my core strong for life.
I started training with Frank around June 2020 and have gained a lot of strength, and continue to to this day, not only for my core but also in the way I move.
Frank was able to analyze how my body moves by going out on a short run to check what areas, if any, required adjustments by learning to move with the correct form.
Issues I had have a lot to do with partial function of my left foot which led to my body learning unhealthy compensations.
One of the major unhealthy compensations that required the most attention in the beginning sessions with Frank was core activation.
Before training with Frank, I had trouble doing things such as balancing myself on with my left leg and used my right leg much more.
This doesn't seem significant but this one aspect of how my body worked caused me to avoid and not trust my left leg when it came to movement.
After training with Frank, I am much stronger with my left leg now and have actually gained muscles on my body I thought would take many years to build, such as my abdominal muscles, with significantly less effort compared to when I worked out alone.
I always look forward to training with Frank because I learn something new as I gain mobility and strength with each session. Thank you, Frank!!

Frank May and Core Fitness changed my life. Frank was able to increase my quality of life by addressing dysfunction in my feet, ankles, hips, and shoulders. Thanks to him, my functional movement and athletic ability are at an all time high.
Frank’s approach to addressing dysfunction is best described by the quote, “You must learn to walk before you can run”. It’s not flashy but, it builds an immovable base.

They say every good business is run by good people. Well Frank, the owner, is AMAZING people. Super welcoming, friendly, knowledgable, and encouraging. I always look forward to my training sessions with Frank May! Frank is the owner and super professional! I appreciate that he always pushes me to do better and work harder, while still really focusing on good form first! I’ve had knee pain for years when lifting weights and i haven’t had any issues for the past few months. Best trainer I’ve ever had to say the least! I personally love that the gym is always clean and never crowded, and right in the heart of Oak Cliff!! Highly recommend, especially for women wanting to train with someone who keeps it respectful and professional.

I signed up with Core Fitness back in August, Frank was my trainer. I absolutely loved that he started me out with work outs that I could get thru and not be afraid to push harder. As my work outs got more challenging Frank never let me stop he believed in me, encouraged and chanted to keep pushing and reminded me that I could do it and not give up. My results with him were VERY visible and have definitely changed my lifestyle Hands down to this man for having a huge impact on my accomplishment to meet my fitness goal!! Team Frank!!

I love this gym and the way the staff makes you feel! You never go in there feeling like people are judging you and the trainers are always ready to help you learn new workouts. And it has 24 hour access which is awesome!!!!
