Loved my time at this gym the past few years. The programming is a good mix of traditional xfit and Olympic Weightlifting classes led by Olympian Bredni Roque. The gym is growing, and has two locations. Whether you're a beginner or a veteran you'll find what you're looking for.

Attempted trial pack and several class times. Members are fun and outgoing. Evening class was awesome, members and coaches were outgoing and welcoming. Noon class was AWFUL. WORST COACH I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. EVER!! Word is the new owner hired this chic with zero experience or personality. Someone will get hurt with this wild hair zombie coaching. Joined elsewhere and the friend that referred me there canceled as well. Owner should consider the liability if such atrocious person representing this box. This is your investment; make an attempt at not being careless! Clearly these owners are stubborn and think this will work itself out. Wake up before you catch a lawsuit!

I’ve attended classes at H-Town for 4 months now, and I just remembered that I need to give a review! The coaches are patient and friendly (as i am a complete newbie!). I’m learning so much about my form and capabilities. I am extremely grateful for the experience I’ve had so far!

Not a man of many words on reviews, so I'll keep it brief. Owners/trainers are quality human beings. They've made some amazing classes and sessions for everyone at the gym. The CrossFit community is huge and there are gyms popping up all over the place, but this place makes you feel at home. The homeliness of the place only makes it that much easier for me to drop on by during my free time to get either a quick workout in or catch a class when I want to. Again, trainers and owners thanks and keep up the good work!

I was very excited when I joined this gym after moving from CO to TX. I have been doing Crossfit on and off for 15 years, and have always found it to be a fabulous community. I did a Paid in Full membership at the beginning of the year, to kick 2021 off right. Unfortunately, due to things opening back up and changes at work, I started traveling 2X a month almost immediately after that. Things have been uncertain for many people during this pandemic time.
I approached the gym about changing my membership in April to something more beneficial on 4/19 with the Coach that signed me up. I was paying $80/class at the frequency I was able to attend, so it just wasn't making sense. The owner, Betty, told me the main thing was that they didn't want to lose me as a member, which I really appreciated! I went home that day thinking everything was resolved, and that I just needed to send a summary email. I emailed Betty, but received a response from Stella. She honestly made me feel like she couldn't care less about keeping me as a member.
I had followed up every couple days for a week with the trainer that signed me up in regards to changing my membership, and even came in for 2 workouts, thinking we could finalize changes in person. I offered to give punches on my card for those workouts, but my trainer told me that it wasn't a big deal. I wanted to switch to a 10X @ $200 punch cards until my schedule normalized. It took until 5/7 to get resolution, and I was told by Stella at that time that they would switch my membership, but were going to charge me for the month of May because I asked to switch my membership too close to the end of billing cycle (?). OK... How many days does it take to discuss a client's membership? 5 minutes? Their inability to effectively communicate with each other cost me $165 extra.
To summarize, Stella had the choice to gouge me for the $165, or take $200 for a punch card plus future business. She chose the $165...talk about stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime.
On a separate instance, Stella offered a recovery drink to a classmate to try for free. He later saw she had charged his account for the $4 drink. CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP. Not what I'm used to in the Crossfit Community after being a member at 4 different gyms over the 15 years I've been going. My advice is to skip H-Town...there are several other Crossfits right in this neighborhood!

I've been going to H-Town for almost a year and a half, and I couldn't have asked for a better boxβ€”excellent coaching, a supportive community and thoughtful, balanced programming. If you're looking for a new Crossfit home (or are curious about trying it out), do it! You won't have any regrets.

I have been going to H-Town for a little over 6 months. A good friend of mine told me about this incredible gym. I remember dropping by for the first time and I automatically knew that this was going to be my new home. The people are very welcoming and friendly, and the coaches are always very detailed on what to expect during the workouts.

In these past 6 months I have build better endurance and have gotten so much stronger. The structure and programming are by far my favorite. The gym also offers other classes apart from CrossFit to help you improve in any area that you wish to. I believe that the price is reasonable and worth every single penny.

Dropped in at CrossFit H-Town on a recommendation when I was in town and was not disappointed! The owner / head coach Theo was super welcoming and made sure I was all set up. This was my gym before moving cities. I loved this place the people and staff here are very welcoming and the facility is huge. Two sides, one for classes, and the other for open gym. If you are looking for a new box this is the place to choose in Houston. I would advise to visit in person if you are thinking of joining that was the best way for me to contact them.

Before joining H-Town, I was very intimidated by crossfit, but still curious to try it out. H-Town quickly made me feel comfortable (not during the workouts, because they're killer) but with being new to crossfit and taught me the correct form for all of the movements. Two years later, and I'm still so happy with my decision to join H-Town. The coaches, community, and workouts are all amazing and having the option to go to two gym locations makes it super convenient. I have never been in better shape in my life!

I was a member of CrossFit H-Town for a little over 3 years before I moved out of the area. H-Town goes above and beyond to meet all the needs of their members from a fitness standpoint with great programming and scaling options, two locations, Olympic Weightlifting and Endurance classes, and Open Gym sessions as well. The box is clean with great equipment that the staff is always cleaning and restocking. Put simply it is a great place to workout.

What really separates H-Town though is the community. It is an incredibly supportive group of people with extensive staff that truly cares about their members. I recommend this box to anyone in the Houston area or for out of towers looking to get a workout in while on the road.

As an avid Weightlifter, I knew arriving to a brand new city such as Houston proved an exciting new opportunity to train. Fortunately, I was introduced to CrossFit H-Town and I never looked back! CrossFit H-Town offers two locations in Houston. As a whole, the community there is incredibly inclusive, supportive and the camaraderie is unlike any other.

At the Heights location, they have an amazing USAW Weightlifting Club with a great coach that will provide programming and realtime coaching. Their equipment is great - everything I needed to train was there - Eleiko, Pendlay, Rogue - you name it, it was there to be utilized.

They take advantage of every space available too. It's normal to see many classes (with their fantastic coaching staff) lead classes outdoors - they even have a rig set up outside!

Lastly, I am thoroughly pleased with the owner, Theo Tsekouras's dedication to those in Uniform. A former Firefighter himself, CrossFit H-Town routinely shows respects for men and women in the Military and First Responders - from WODs to Charity events.

CrossFit H-Town and CrossFit H-Town II is where it's at. Give it a try!

While working in a neighboring building to the Silver St, location, I stumbled upon CrossFit H-Town. I was looking for a new type of workout. Something challenging, motivating, and most importantly, something that kept me interested enough to stick to it. What really convinced me to join CrossFit H-Town were the beginner classes the gym offers. In this class setting, the coach meticulously reviews the movements and provides additional personal attention. As a beginner and having never lifted a barbell, ever, I needed that personal attention to get the form of the movements correct to prevent an injury from occurring. I remember being a bit intimidated thinking, "what on earth did I get myself into", while watching flocks of people lift barbells and run long distances on the bike path, but once I took my first class, I couldn't have received a warmer welcome. The H-Town community is full of great coaches who are educated in what they teach, and as a bonus, fellow athletes and I quickly became friends.

To cap it off, I have not only pushed myself to new limits at CrossFit H-Town, but I have grown much respect for the H-Town box and their coaches. My journey at CrossFit H-Town has also provided a tremendous boost in my health. I am stronger, and this year I took it a step further by beginning to eat clean and have lost 20+ pounds in a couple of months in doing so. If crossfit is something you're eager to try, but are hesitant or feel intimidated, I highly recommended that you at least just TRY it out, and CrossFit H-Town is a phenomenal place to begin that new journey.

CrossFit H-Town deserves more than 5 stars!

The two-location athletic club has so much to offer including yoga, weightlifting, nutrition, mobility, and CrossFit Kids. I love the variety of class times - it makes working out so much easier when you have options.

I think the most important aspect of CrossFit H-Town is the way it can positively change a person's life. I am stronger and fitter than I have ever been. My first child was born a year ago, and during that pregnancy, I gained 50 lbs. The coaches at CrossFit H-Town helped me lose that weight and then some. I have made incredible strides in my performance and instead of a mushroom top, I'm rocking a six pack!

The diverse community is truly supportive. I've made some lifelong friends at H-Town. My life is forever changed and I'm forever grateful.

I've been going here for almost 3 years, and what stands out most about the H-Town Box (other than the amazing community of athletes, coaches, and supporters) are the constant innovations and improvements that enhance the member experience. Everything from the gym equipment to the Wodify online management system to the class offerings to the Torched Grill paleo meal offerings, H-Town is always looking for ways to be better.

Did I mention the community? I have become really good friends with other athletes and coaches. It's a diverse group of people from all walks of life, sharing a common mindset about just living better lives. I can't think of a better way to get in great shape while having a good time with great people.

Finally, working out at H-Town has not only helped keep myself accountable for my own fitness but has also gotten me into the best shape of my life. I spent 4 years in the military, and I was not even close to being as strong, fast, or agile as I am now. I can't thank H-Town enough!

Where do I begin?

I found CrossFit H-Town through a friend and couldn't be happier. Where H-Town differs from other CrossFit gyms is:

-coaching
-class size (never bigger than 14)
-camaraderie

The coaches are second to none. They want to see success from each member and ensure that everyone is challenged in a safe and motivated environment.

Also, the class size is capped at 14 which allows for more personal attention from the coaching staff. Something that is truly valuable when difficult movements are involved (ho-hum, snatches and muscle-ups).

And lastly the camaraderie at H-Town makes for a fun and enjoyable workout. Not to mention the social gatherings that occur once or twice a quarter.

After 3 years at H-Town I STILL look forward to the daily WOD.

Big thanks to the ownership, coaching staff, and the other athletes for making this such a great spot.

My wife and I have been going here for nearly 3 years now and couldn't be happier. The coaches and staff are all very cordial and helpful. We recently had our first child which makes it more difficult to get to the gym but their large number of class offerings has made it much easier. We also really enjoy the Olympic Weightlifting class that's offered...it's a nice break from the daily WOD and really allows you to work on your form. I highly recommend giving CrossFit H-Town a look if you're in the market for a new Box.

CrossFit H-Town IS amazing! I originally started in 2012 in my effort to 1) Get in the best shape in my life 2) Simply get stronger. I left briefly to try another CrossFit box and it just wasn't the same. I returned back to CrossFit H-Town in 2013 and have been going religiously ever since. They have 2 locations (I-10 Taylor & Heights), TONS of class options including yoga, olympic lifting, endurance, CrossFit for kids AND their own personal chef (Torched Grill meals similar to My Fit Foods) but they deliver to each box location, are available in Paleo and not as pricey in my opinion. Oh, and the community is amazing (I met my now fiancee there)! Definitely worth checking out their website and signing up for a free intro class.

I really love the community here at Htown! Before I started crossfit, I was over 30% BF and weighed less than 120lbs. Now, after more than 2 years of training here, I am proud to say I am less than 20% BF and I weigh just a few more pounds and take up less space! All the coaches here are very attentive and great at what they do, especially Sidia! If you ever drop in here for open gym on Sunday's, she is always more than happy to help me with my weaknesses! They also offer a variety of different classes, such as Olympic Weightlifting (taught by the amazing and very talented, Coach Mike), yoga, endurance training, mobility, and more! The owners, Theo and Carrie, have both really done a great job at building a strong, fit community that I am happy and proud to be a part of!

I've been going to CrossFit H-town for just over a year. I joined to lose weight and get in shape for my wedding and I got SO much more. I have truly learned so much about lifting weights, proper form, anatomy, endurance, etc. I am significantly stronger and faster because of the workouts here. The scoring system they keep on wodify lets me track my progress and see the results. I've seen significant increases in the amount of weights I can lift as well as increased speed and endurance. I have decreased my mile time by two minutes. At first I was really nervous about the competitive nature of CrossFit but I realized very quickly that nobody is there to judge you and everybody has had a first day or first year. There are people of all skill levels in every class and the AWESOME coaches at CrossFit H-town will work with you to learn the skills necessary to become a stronger, healthier, more fit person at any level.

This gym is top notch from the two locations to choose from, equipment, owners, fantastic staff of coaches, and the overall community! I joined almost two years ago and developed a real passion for fitness and nutrition which has built a strong foundation for becoming a physique and figure competitor in natural bodybuilding organizations.

The small classes, that are offered at several times during the early morning, afternoon, and evening allow the coaches to devote proper attention to each member so we continue to improve and become better athletes. In addition to Crossfit classes, they offer open gym, Crossfit Kids, HX, yoga, Olympic weightlifting, mobility, and nutrition courses. The gym focuses on healthy lifestyles vs. just the WOD's.

This is an amazing community of athletes that just keeps growing!

I've been going to CrossFit H-Town for almost three years and could not be happier with my results. I initially joined to supplement my triathlon, 5k, and marathon races, but have learned to love H-Town and the community it's created.

Additionally, I can say with confidence that CrossFit H-Town produces the best coaching staff. Some gyms have coaches who have CrossFit knowledge, but H-Town's coaches have the knowledge AND the ability to teach. They're fantastic and I know I'm in good hands each time I show up.

I've been at htown over two years now and can honestly say I am in the best shape of my life. There are platforms and Olympic level equipment for the lifting enthusiast. The instructions is top notch, even in open gym with coach Sidia, who really knows her stuff (from oly to gymnastics). This place rocks. Theo and the gang are so accommodating and really know their stuff. I've been to many crossfit boxes and this one certainly stands among the top tier. I've been to several CrossFit gyms and H-Town is the best. They don't waste time during class. The coaches are well trained. The gym is quite a bit cleaner than the other CrossFit gyms I've visited. They have supplemental programs like the Torched Grill food, gymnastics classes, Olympic Weightlifting program, weightloss challenges, etc. There's a real sense of community at the gym. Maybe its the parties, maybe it's CrossFit, but a lot of people form lasting friendships at H-Town. I trained there for 2.5 years and loved it.

Love this place! I was curious about CrossFit, but also hesitant. I was 54 when I joined and had a bad shoulder. I wanted to workout hard, but not re-injure myself. The coaches here are excellent and really focus on form. They pushed me hard enough and when I needed to back off always showed me modifications to help me keep the momentum going. A year later, I am stronger and more fit than I've ever been in my life.

Everyone from the owner, Theo, front office staff, all the coaches are great. Friendly and encouraging no matter what your fitness level. The people who come to the gym are great too and there are a number of social events throughout the year to help you get to know each other.

Best fitness experience I've had - bar none. Definitely check out CrossFit H-Town.

I've been going to H-town for years now and have to say that the programming, coaches, and community are awesome. The owners really do have a passion for the success of the box in terms of the people involved and not just a business. Plus they have lots of class options, plenty of space and equipment, and a great system to keep track of your progress in Wodify. (BTW, this also makes you more competitive, which makes you work harder!)
