War House Gym, located in Southtown SATX, is a really excellent facility!! My boyfriend & I visited for the first time this week, and we had a fantastic experience! The gym is incredibly clean + well-kept, and the staff are so kind. :-) There is SO much equipment, and the warehouse space is huge!!! There is so much room, which was a pleasant surprise as someone who has not been fond of crowded gyms in the past. I also really love the atmosphere - you can tell that people are here to focus + get it done!

Got a day pass here with a few friends who were visiting from out of town. I saw the place on Instagram and was interested in checking it out. This place is awesome. The equipment is great and is stuff you can't find anywhere else. The overall vibe is awesome. We went on a friday morning and it wasn't packed or anything. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, and we got a bunch of high protein snacks on our way out. Memberships aren't cheap, but it seems it's worth it. My friends all loved it and are excited to come back to go back to this gym. Will definitely be back.

of your looking for every piece of workout equipment you could ever dream of, this gym has it. there are plenty of free weights. multiple of each kinds of machines and bars for heavy lifting. there are a lot of muscles of different sizes here. the staff is very prompt at fixing any issues. the restrooms are clean, although i've never showered here. i changed to go get into the sauna and cold plunge, so im in there daily and they are always clean. they always have paper towels and disinfecting spray and everyone uses it. they don't have class of any kind, but that's ok with me. i would recommend this gym and have.

This is by far the baddest gym out there. I have lived in multiple cities in Texas and bounced around every gym in each looking for professionalism in the gym industry and never found it until Warhouse. From the second you walk in you are stunned by the difference in atmosphere from any other gym you have ever seen. Then, it is followed up by incredible maintenance (daily cleanings multiple times a day of bathrooms). Then, you sign up and there is no contract BS, no hidden fees, no pay for an extra 2 months crap in order to cancel. I promise you it is worth the money. If the gym is your second home like it is mine, spend the extra money to be happy when you train. I had a great workout! It’s a great gym! I only had one issue. I was charged twice for my day pass for yesterday. I paid a week in advance online because I was coming in from out of town. The young lady up front wouldn’t honor it so I had to buy another day pass. Not cool.

I’m in town for a day and I didn’t want to miss out on a gym sesh. I heard a lot of great things about this gym and I was SO HAPPY that everything I heard was right. Jaylen (I apologize if it’s not spelled correctly) greeted me at the door with a smile and was sweet and lovely during our entire interaction. So I found my gym 😁. It's called WARHOUSE GYM in downtown SA. It's the exact blueprint of what I’d build if someone handed me a blank warehouse, an unlimited budget, and told me to design a muscle mansion for Instagram warriors and serious lifters alike. The asthetics are off the charts. Between Lighting to the mirrors to the decor to the equipment not to mention their are INFLUENCER FRIENDLY!

First off, the vibe? Stupid clean. RGB lights pop like you’re about to PR in a nightclub. Mirrors so crisp they double as self-esteem enhancers. Equipment that looks like it was smuggled straight from a futuristic Schwarzenegger dream lab. Even the turf feels premium—like if grass had a sponsorship deal.

But here’s the kicker: FREE Tripods? Free. Like, actually provided. No weird looks. No side-eye when your recording your set.

This place is awesome and I felt so at home while I performed my first leg day in San Antonio, which happened to also be my first leg day in months 😂😭. The equipment ranges from standard corporate equipment to custom fabricated machines. It really is the whole package 💯.

If you in San Antonio and looking for a unique private gym that not only doesn't judge but the encourages you to show off, this is definitely the gym for you! It definitely is the gym for me 😁

By far the greatest gym I have ever had the pleasure of stepping into. Let me start off by saying this is a real gym for people who want to put in the work in a facility owned and ran by people who care. The machines are top tier, a good number of them being made by one of the owners, Atom, himself. And the man doesn’t miss. His custom machines give some of the best muscle activation (e.g. spider press). And he’s always releasing new machines to add to his collection! And when machines do break (as they inevitably do), I have never seen a machine down for more than 48 hours. None of that “sorry we’re waiting on a part that’ll be here in 3-5 business months” garbage from mainstream gyms. Usually they’re back up in less than a day.

The gym community here itself feels like a family. Everyone from the patrons to the staff treats each other with utmost respect and kindness. Some awesome guys and gals who are always happy to help, offer assistance, or let you work in (as long as you rerack your weights). If you come in looking to start shit or cause drama, though, you’ll quickly find that Rule Number One (No Assholes) is strictly enforced. There’s no place for bad vibes in this family.

Despite being in a warehouse, the gym is incredibly clean. They have six (maybe seven?) individualized locking restrooms for you to shower and do your business in complete privacy, and it seems like someone is always cleaning to make sure everything stays sanitary. Paper towels throughout the floor are always stocked and if something isn’t right a staff member is on it making sure it’s fixed immediately.

Outside, they have a wellness patio, stocked with a massive sauna (that the owner built himself and is again the best gym sauna in SA, if not farther), cold plunges, inversion tables, and more. It’s extra on top of the membership, but these are the types things you’d never see from your Gold’s or LA Fitness gyms. Even Life Time’s facilities are always packed and you’d be paying more than the membership and wellness patio combined!

If you’re reading this, I highly recommend you come in for a day pass. $30 may seem steep at first glance, but I promise you it’s worth every penny. If I one day have to move, the thing I will be most upset about is leaving War House behind.

I moved to San Antonio about two months ago. I wanted a gym that had serious lifters and a good environment. A friend of mine recommended War House. When I walked in for the first time I was greeted but the kind staff that works there and was given a tour of the facility. I quickly realized that this gym has everything you could want and need as a gym goer. The gym is very well kept, the equipment is amazing, and the ambiance puts you in the mood to put in WORK. The staff are all friendly and approachable. Initially you wouldn’t even guess that Atom is the owner just by how approachable and down to earth he is. Very glad to have found this gym community and looking forward to seeing how it continues to grow from new members to the introduction of new equipment Atom makes himself.

I moved to War house April 11. I haven’t been here a month and I already call this place home. First of all, I’ve never seen a gym owner like Atom and his team take such good care of a gym and its members.

From the 3.5 seconds it takes them to fix a broken a machine (and I mean you tell them it’s broken, 7 mins later the machine is getting rolled out, and before lunch you have it back), to taking suggestions to make the gym better, to basically spoiling us with whatever we want and need, there isn’t a much better place than this except my actual home.

Any bad review you see on here, they either FAFO, or they didn’t come here. I can promise that. I would never be loyal to a place that didn’t care about its people and environment. When you come to the War House, 1. act like an adult.. but 2. you can expect to be treated with respect and kindness, and 3. You will meet family. Again, any bad reviews here, they did not go to MY War Home 😒…

Not worth it. Some machines didn’t even fit 45 pound plates and the others were stuck or awkward. Most of the gym goers were welcoming enough but the complete opposite with the staff. Gym seemed more focused on the aesthetic than the actual lifting aspects. Not worth the $30 day pass or $100 monthly subscription. Will definitely be saving my money and going to Golds Gym. The War House Gym is nothing short of incredible the atmosphere to the equipment to the people it's top tier in my opinion remember for everyone out there reading this is my personal opinion/experience/review so please don't get offended and at the end of the day take it with a grain of salt as I'm one person of many. Here goes Adam Steel the owner/manager is awesome, super friendly and helpful as well as knowledgeable about the facility and the equipment. The gym atmosphere is truly unique as it's not traditional the lighting is dark and underwhelming in a good way it allows you to buckle down and really focus on putting work into your workout but at the same time the accent lighting on the dumbbell rack are absolutely sick. They keep it a cool 80 degrees inside the facility so you will definitely be sweating there isn't traditional A/C more just giant industrial sized fans which work well. Then the equipment let me tell you state of the art they have everything you could ever need for practical fitness training to crossfit to extreme bodybuilding as well as the mirrors for posing to back it up in addition they have a full line of cardio equipment. Lastly the changing rooms are very nice private have a shower and plenty of space highly highly recommend this gym and will definitely be making my way back here!!

I had high hopes for War House Gym, and in some ways, it lived up to the hype. Yes, the $30 day pass is nearly triple what other gyms charge, but honestly, it almost felt worth it—the lighting is perfect, the equipment is top-tier, and everyone there is locked in and working on themselves. It’s a beautiful facility, and I was fine with the lack of water fountains too.

But what completely ruined the experience was how I was treated by the staff. I bought a shirt from the gym—the only size available was 2X, but I still wanted one. After I changed into it, I asked a white, bald-headed employee with a neck tattoo where I could put the shirt I came in with. He casually told me, “Anywhere, bro,” so I set it by the stairs and even double-checked with him. He reassured me, “Yeah bro, that’s fine, don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to it.”

Fast forward an hour and a half later, I’m leaving and ask what happened to my shirt—only to find out a female employee threw it in the trash. Her explanation? “I thought it was trash.” Meanwhile, the same bald guy was standing right there the whole time and said absolutely nothing. When I confronted him, he just brushed it off like, “It’s ok, you can just take one from the shelf.” So I did, but then another employee dug my original shirt out of the trash and handed it to me.

Not a single person looked me in the eye or said sorry. Not once.

That’s the part that stuck with me—the complete lack of accountability or basic respect. For a gym that wants to be top-tier, that kind of treatment is unacceptable. Great lighting and nice weights won’t make up for being treated like an afterthought.

Gym facilities are superb. Has a unique variety of workout equipment and offers an upgrade on membership to the wellness patio that provides access to a cold plunge tub and sizable sauna. A numerous amount of sport and pre workout drinks, food items, and some merch to choose from with an uncomplicated checkout system. Gym owner was a super chill guy. Was kind enough to allow me an interview for a research paper. Legit 💯.

This place is so awesome. Visiting from New Orleans to San Antonio and paid for a couple of day passes. I wish they had more locations across the US because we would definitely sign up for membership if we had one near us. It’s one of the cleanest facilities we’ve ever been to and the amount of equipment and machines are perfect. Everything is laid out so nicely and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

The war machines are the best pieces of equipment I’ve ever used. Environment and vibe of the gym is unmatched. Got to meet Atom when I was there on a day pass with my family and he invited us back the next day to lift free of charge. Awesome guy that curates some insane machines. I was in SA for 3 months for work with my boyfriend. We signed up for a 3 month pass at this gym because it was recommended by our friends and also close to our accommodation.

This is 100% the nicest gym we have ever been to!! You can tell that there is so much love put into here, because the owners are always getting new equipment and updating different areas. The way the gym is laid out is perfect and well thought out with tons of well maintained and unique machines. The low lighting also makes it so much easier to work out, and I love how many mirrors there are!

It was so depressing leaving SA because War House has set such high standards. No gym back home will ever compare!!

It’s a great gym. It’s never THAT packed. Plenty of equipment. Lots of space. The only negative would be some of the equipment that are “homemade” are not ergonomically correct. They aren’t engineered properly so at some point during the lift the weight is either non existent or the body has to move into an awkward position (the red hacksquat machine comes to mind). Other than that, I love this gym. Tons of good looking people here doesn’t hurt either.

WH = A tremendous asset to our community!! Please check it out.
No matter what your fitness level may be, the War House is a place of sanctuary and camaraderie. There’s a laser like focus that sets in when you work out here. The staff members are very in tune and truly care about the members and their goals/progress. Atom is a pure innovator and challenges himself daily to improve the gym, as well as his custom weight training machines. I’ve felt certain vibes at other gyms, but never this type of vibe. It’s a welcoming environment and everyone has been truly respectful. Lastly, I’ve left my headphones and cell phone behind on the treadmill… to have two different people track me down and hand me my property back. Don’t know of any other gym in SA where you’d see this happen. A+

Absolute best vibe in a gym. Feels like family and being a part of something exciting as you network with the great people that workout (and work) here.

The equipment is a great mix of golden classics, new elites, and custom made machines by the owner (check out anything with the War House emblem on it and you’ll be in for a great time, Atom’s War Machines are the best!). Everything is kept clean, constantly improved upon, and the staff keeps the patrons accountable to ensure the best experience possible.

We are extremely lucky to have this gym in our city. The owner is a selfless person that is doing a lot for our community by having this facility here for us and he constantly improves this place. He is always working on it such a humble guy won’t even know he’s the owner. His staff is so professional. I really hope this place stays around for a long time. This gym is overpriced for what it offers. Equipment is old and outdated, which they try to cover up with overall darkness. You can barely see around the gym, which is not the vibe I want when working out. The worst thing is that they don't have water fountains or AC. They don't have lockers. For this price point, I was so disappointed with the quality of the gym.

I’ve been coming here for several months and I’ve never loved a gym more. When you walk in you’re always greeted with a friendly hello, the owner, Atom, makes some/most of the machines which is honestly just freaking amazing, it’s pretty spacey so nobody is in your bubble, and they’re always making some kind of improvements which is nice. Mirrors everywhere so you can see yourself at nearly every angle, and they make it a point to let those know that they need to re-rack your weights (it’s not their job let alone other people’s to re-rack your weights. I hate lazy people!), which is super appreciated. Overall an amazing gym that ranges from beginner to advanced, with NO judgements anywhere. It’s nice building my confidence here, and they always have an amazing staff!! I’m always left leaving this place feeling so good about myself. This gym just continuously gets better 👏🏽💪🏽

It’s been a headache dealing with this gym. Cancelled my membership over 2 months ago and they’re still charging my card till this day. 270 was taken out of my account after I clearly told Atom Steel to cancel. Had to cancel my card and repot the payment. They did this twice after cancellation! Take your business somewhere else because this place is not it I promise you 🤦🏻‍♂️

Love the atmosphere and that it’s open 24 hours. Being surrounded by the people who workout here makes me want to push harder. Staff emphasizes on cleanliness and on others being respectful of the facility which is a must for a 5ft girl like me who can’t always take off those heavy plates that others leave. Phenomenal would be an understatement! Walking in is breathtaking for anyone who loves fitness and is used to the regular commercial gym atmosphere. Between the perfect lighting and top tier machinery, the atmosphere is pure bliss and has brought me some of the best workouts in my life. Truly felt like a kid in Disneyland again. You can tell the owner took time picking and placing every machine to maximize effectiveness for every muscle group, while still having great spacing unlike other crowded gyms. Not to mention even the individual bathrooms being clean and luxurious, EVERY TIME! From the movie theater like screen in front of the cardio machines to the custom machines handcrafted for optimal strength training. War House Satx is in another league entirely.

Overhyped for the price. Way better gyms for your buck such as La Fitness. Plus apparently you will be reprimanded by staff for forgetting to put weight plates back. That’s why you pay employees to up keep the gym imagine coming home from working for a boss all day just to have another guy cry and moan about forgetting to put back a 10lb plate. No thank you. Been going to War House for about a month now and my wife and I absolutely love it! The environment is top notch and just being there motivates you to push yourself! Ive been going to gyms for years, but my wife is newer to going to gyms. We both love the environment. I say this to point out that no matter the experience level, this gym just makes you feel like you are in the right place. The equipment is the best around, without a doubt. Warhouse Gym is simply amazing. I have worked out at gyms all around the US. From fancy to basic. This gym is truly “built different” walking in and sweating with in 60 seconds and the music and lighting just sets the tone for the next 2 hours….. I wouldn’t feel the same about the gym if it had AC…..THE VIBE IS AMAZING!!! The Sweating with the working out has seriously improve my health. My first week at this gym and already I can say without a doubt the best environment in any gym in San Antonio. The lights, the metal plates, the state of the art equipment, supplements, even a microwave for your preps. The staff pay extensive attention to detail ESPECIALLY when it comes to the cleanliness of the place. There’s always someone cleaning, wiping machines down, and if they aren’t, it’s because the class of people that come here mind their etiquette! And speaking of the people here, everyone is so welcoming and friendly! I mean there’s literally a rule list at the entrance number one being, ‘no assholes.’ Ive been going to golds for years now but I’m glad to say I made the switch to a more private and affordable option.

Attended Warhouse gym for an event with trainer bri. It was absolutely AMAZING. I usually workout at home but for days that I want a positive environment when it comes to working out, I will 10000% take the 30+ minute drive to get a workout in with the day pass. Bought an annual membership to this gym before they even opened up due to the amazing content of them BUILDING the gym themselves. Since then, this gym is ALWAYS adding new equipment, upgrades, etc. There is at least one new item each time I go in (not exaggerating). This gym is such a motivating & welcoming environment. Best gym in SA, Im not new to working out but Im no expert either, when I go to the Warhouse I feel Im in my element, seeing other people work out harder if not as hard as me with absolute great focus is what a gym should be, unbothered by absolutely any influencer at all, because if youre at any gym really working out the focus that should be applied to your work would leave no room to judge or notice what other people are doing. The ambiance, the hard work that goes on in there, the lighting, the individual facilities, the community, not being overwhelmed by a crowded gym, the innovative machines that no other regular gym has, the open 24/7, all make it so that I enjoy going there at any time of the day and get shit done. 😤WARHOUSE.

One of the greatest gyms to come to San Antonio. A lot of people looking to help you improve yourself, staff is always welcoming. The gym equipment is always clean. There are constantly new equipment being brought in. I don’t mind no a/c because I like to sweat. Personal opinion BEST GYM to go to. By far the best gym in TX! The amount of space and the number of equipment in the gym is incredible! Never have I ever had to wait for a machine or worry about the gym being crowded.

I love this gym so much i don’t mind traveling 30-40 minutes just to workout. I love the space in the gym and how there is more than one machine for a body group so there is never a need to feel like your machine is taken. I got a tour by the receptionist (pretty cool guy btw), and I got to say I feel in love with the gym! It’s got to be one finest fitness center here in SATX! Most likely, I’ll become a member once the HVAC units are installed because it’s indeed hotter than Satan’s toenails in there!

I recently had a disappointing experience at your gym. While on the StairMaster, an employee approached me disrespectfully, demanding I follow him. This could have been handled better. I had not re-racked a 45lb plate because the rack was across the gym very hidden, and the weight was already there before I used the machine. Despite wiping my station, the employee embarrassed me in front of others, insisting I re-rack my weight and the person’s next to me also. A more respectful approach would have been appreciated.

Awesome gym and my new home gym for sure. Reason I’m giving a 4 star is because it’s over priced, yes it’s stunning and great equipment but it’s just not enough for it to justify the price.
