My wife and I have been training with Will for about 5 months (me for over two years), and we highly recommend him. He is the rare kind of trainer who strikes the perfect balance between pushing you to improve and respecting your personal goals and limits. I was only in Austin for roughly 6 weeks and worked with Will - he is an awesome personal trainer. Many personal trainers only show up during the session so basically a guided workout. Will is much more similar to a Coach where he designed a workout plan, discussed proper nutrition & has a bunch of primary resources on training, and then is an excellent trainer during the workout both from a motivation and form critique angle. Will helped me establish a solid and consistent approach to weight loss and introduced new training styles such as Super Setting. I would recommend Will to anyone who is serious about taking their fitness journey to the next level!

Will is an incredible trainer. My husband and I started training with Will about 6 months before our wedding, because we wanted professional guidance which was lacking in our then existing fitness routine.

tl;dr recommend
i’ve been working with will as a trainer for almost 4 months and this is my first experience with personal training. Going to be honest i literally hired him to hold my money hostage because I wasn’t going to the gym. So now if I don’t go to training I’ve thrown away money
But I decided to keep going because I was pretty honest with him about my personality (i’m lazy, travel alot, will probably skip legs) and i got a training plan that had a lot of low time investment compound lifts, alternate exercises that can be done in a hotel room or apartment gym, and a plan that was divided by important lifts/accessories
i’ve since gained about 20 pounds and i’m consistently unable to fit in a men’s small anymore and usually wear a medium or large now.That’s what happened to me the first time I had to ask for a large(3 weeks ago). I thought to myself “this is it”. I’m a large man now. A big boy. A genetic freak of nature.
I previously just did a 5x5 powerlifting routine for 2 years but apparently all that does is turn your body into the shape of a turkey since you’re squatting and deadlifting 3 times a week and barely doing any upper body stuff.
Will was able to breakdown why we were doing certain exercises and how often each muscle group should be worked out on. a weekly basis for certain types of growth. He also has helped with diet planning, tracking sleep/water intake, etc.

I started working out with Will back in January 24’ and I have stayed with him since. Will is very knowledgeable about his craft and explains things in a very thorough way. He has been very good at making sure how to tailor my physical training routines based on my age and busy schedule. He is very flexible and keeps me in check at the same time, but also he keeps me super motivated to show up for myself. Honestly every time I go to the gym I feel like I am meeting with a friend while practicing self care.

Still fitting in my jeans….
As a 50+ year old, maintaining my fitness level is extremely important as I continue to age. I have worked out with Will over the past year with a goal of shedding a few pounds and in maintaining my ability to fit comfortably into my clothing.
One year in and I have not had to adjust my clothing size, despite all of my hormone fluctuations. If you are in Austin, hire Will as your trainer. He will positively push you to work a little harder than you actually think is possible.

An utmost dedicated, driven and science-based trainer, Will is also the kindest and most adorable person I ever met in a gym. He helped put my random health knowledge into a program that I could stick to. Will is an incredible resource. I originally found him through a tattoo artist who did some of his sick ink (@leslieyoungism !!!) as I was starting to get into lifting after dropping it. Despite my years as an athlete with programmed training, Will opened my eyes to many new aspects of my personal fitness. His dedication to the sometimes overlooked field of science behind fitness is something I rarely see in any scope, even as a student in the sciences. I became much more aware to my movements, listening to my body, and smart programming. Starting out I wanted to improve numbers, which happened very quickly alongside some notable bodybuilding progress. After a good while of working with him, I felt I reached a level of independence that didn't require his expertise as much. Nowadays, I am perfectly able to program for different goals, and am currently working on all around conditioning for my future careers. I feel no matter what the goal, Will has left me with a discerning eye and personal awareness that will always be present in my training. Above all this, he's an incredibly chill dude, who never lets me forget how much he cares. Even after a couple years training independently, I'll receive emails regarding useful resources, and he even checked in recently to scope for criticism. I don't have much (if anything) bad to say, but you just know he'd take in and absorb everything humbly. Plus, if I ever do need to pick back up personal training, I know just the guy!

Will is an amazing trainer. He has always answered any question I have had and has tailor made my training regiment to what I want. He has even revised the days as I have increased workouts. I currently see him 2 days out of the week and do 3 days on my own. I was worried about my form so the 2 days I see him are form intensive days, like squats. That way I can reduce the risk of injury. I can say that I would never be working out 5 days a week if it wasn’t for him. And now even when I’m on vacation I still go to the gym. He has shown me how much consistent effort can affect not only your looks but your self esteem as well.

Been working with about 6 months - I don't think I would have been able to take on the physical load I put myself through the last few months without his programming and guidance.
I initially signed up with Will to continue my health journey closer to my home. I've had a long term goal of getting stronger since I have a family history of osteoporosis and I wanted to be a better rock climber (a sport I started last year.) He laid out a super clear program for me to follow, and a data tracker to ensure that I was tracking many other important health markers, as so many things go into living a healthy lifestyle. As I started to get into half marathon training, he didn't let up - we stuck with the plan and I was able to run a super strong first race, where even I surprised myself in how well I was able to do.

Oh man, where do I even start with Will?
First off, let's talk dedication. This guy is 100% committed to helping me reach my personal fitness goals, and it's so obvious that he genuinely cares. He's not just going through the motions. He's like a walking fitness encyclopedia but without the lecture vibes.
He's very adaptive, too. If something's not working or if I'm just not feeling a particular exercise, he's quick to tweak our plan on the spot.
And my personal favorite? Everything he suggests is rooted in science. It's not just "do this because I say so." He's got the research to back it up, and he'll happily show it to you if you're interested.

I came into see Will after many self-attempts to get into weight-lifting but not seeing gains or injuring myself along the way.
Will made the process of forming thoughtful weight lifting habits with a program that led to consistent gains an absolute breeze. While he may have some corny jokes, he is extremely knowledgeable in excercise science and if he isn’t 100% sure about something he will be forthright and have an answer the next time you see him.
I would 200% recommend Will to anyone in any stage of their weight lifting journey.

I’ve been lifting weights for 10+ years, will has helped me learn so much and taught me things I never knew about. I’ve burned off all the pounds I’ve put on through Covid, will has taught me how to exercise not as a punishment to lose weight but given me a wholistic lifestyle approach to fitness.

Will's basically everything you'd want in a trainer. He's extremely passionate about lifting & fitness in general, but is also extremely invested in being the best trainer for the individual client that he can be. I've seen him go out of his way to take courses and do research so that he can answer any possible questions a client may have regarding flexibility, strength, mobility, etc.
But he's also incredibly empathetic, and will work with clients at the level that they want to, which isn't common amongst trainers at Will's caliber. He's also a consummate professional, and takes being on time/proper communication with clients etc. very seriously.
Bottom line, he's super chill, knowledgable, and motivating, and can work with you at any step of your fitness journey. Highly recommended.

Will takes great pride in what he does, his passion for fitness shows through in every workout I’ve done with him. My fiancé and I know we aren’t the type of the people that just go to the gym and workout by ourselves, we need constant accountability to make sure we stick with it, and Will definitely provides it! Will focuses on the science behind the workouts and tailors the programming to the individual to make sure you are getting the most out of every workout. I have lost over 50 pounds since starting with Will, while building more muscle than I ever have in my lifetime. Highly recommend anyone that is looking for a trainer to listen to what Will has to say and know he has your best interest at heart.
