Would be zero stars if it were possible. Showed up yesterday to workout and ask about some recent charges to my account only to discover an empty building. No notice or anything. Just gone. I’ve been a member since they opened and this is how they treat members. I only joined because I live across the highway and it was convenient. Ohh and they still charged my account for maintenance and membership fee despite no longer being open.

It’s a good gym just the only thing it’s cold af when I come in early mornings inside thinking the heater will be on cause it’s also cold af outside haha, but good gym and good staff and great deals! I just wish they had the heater on knowing it’ll be cold af outside too.

I'm not at all a gym rat so I was a bit anxious to sign up for a trainer. But it turns out there is no need for anxiety, Sasha has been fantastic, really nice and keeps me pushing myself and feeling confident. Highly recommend!

Also, great gym overall. Friendly staff, clean, and a great value. Gotta love this place!

Been coming for over a year and it was great at first but here lately it’s been going south. The turnaround in employees and trainers and managers. I think they stopped having employees come in on Friday and Saturdays or maybe they do not care about the mens restroom. As you can see the toilet seat has come off, the urinal has had a piece of paper in it for 2 weeks… I finally got tired of smelling it and seeing it! So I cleaned the restroom Saturday morning and today Sunday morning. No TP this Sunday morning and the roll on Saturday was on the floor. It’s a good little gym and it’s helped me a lot but goodness… this was very disappointing and disgusting. Update: 7/17/2022: The place has made a great improvement since this posted and Thanks to the WOA staff for improving the atmosphere. Please keep it up.

In May 2022 I asked for my account to be frozen in person at Workout Anytime Lake Highlands. The young lady who helped me with this was very nice and confirmed that my account will be frozen and that I will not be billed until it is unfrozen in August. The following month (June), I received an email stating that my account was past due with an additional late fee. I called both the billing company issuing this email (ABC Fitness) and the office at Workout Anytime. With ABC Fitness, I spoke to an overseas rep who told me that they are unable to remove any of the charges, but noted down that I had called and presented them the issue. They asked me to contact the office of the gym where I had my membership. After calling Workout Anytime, I spoke to a representative who assured me that my account was frozen and to please disregard that email. I then asked to speak to a manager, I was told "I'm sorry the manager has just left for the day. Call back tomorrow". These same events repeated the next month in July with a growing balance.

It is now August 2 and I have just received a final notice to pay 3 months membership plus late fees immediately or else my account will be submitted for collections. This negligence threatens to ruin my credit and is due to piss-poor management of issues presented to them. I will say that the people I spoke to are polite, but incompetent. The management disregards my reminders to please take care of this issue and I am prepared to sue if my credit is affected negatively by a GYM MEMBERSHIP of all things.

Small gym that’s located along an outside shopping mall. It’s worth it if you just need the basics. The downside is everyone wants to use some of the weight lifting items and you have to wait because again it’s a small gym. The positive is it’s 24hrs and I personally enjoy that it’s a smaller size.

I had stopped going to this gym because of their lack of maintenance and not so friendly staff. Today, I returned after 2 months and this place has deteriorated equipment. The arm/bicep press cushion pad faux leather cover has been peeled off and not replaced. You have to place your elbows there to do your workout and it’s extremely uncomfortable. I took a picture to upload it but this platform doesn’t allow me to.

I love working out here, it’s always very clean, the staff is friendly and extremely helpful. There is equipment for every workout you would want to do. The customers are also nice and never bother me, especially as a woman it’s hard to find gyms without any creepy guys. :)

Just started at this gym. They made me feel welcome. Already showed me lots of exercises that will help me. Jessica is amazing. I recommend this gym highly. Small gym but lots of energy. To me it's a hidden gem. Price wise they are a great deal. 👍

I can't say enough great things about this gym and it's staff! I've been coming for more than a year and I'm glad I made the decision to become a member at this location. Also, having access to a gym 24/7 has been a life saver.

The weekly HIIT classes are AMAZING! Jessica, trainer, truly cares about helping you reach your fitness and health goals. She's been a great addition to the staff.

Houston and Madison are always checking in with everyone and know so many people by name! They do a great job of creating community within the gym and keeping the gym clean.

I’ve been attending this gym for quite some time (well over a year, but what is time?). Anyway, I’ve always been a self proclaimed athlete and so can be a bit picky when it comes to where I get a workout in. What I look for in a gym is, at this point, efficiency and comfort. I want to be able to workout in a clean, safe, all accepting environment that provides all of the equipment needed to create my “hot boy summer”.
I’ve seen EVERYTHING during my 10+ years of regularly visiting some sort of exercise facility. Trust me, WorkOutAnytime Lake Highlands has everything you need to make it happen (whatever “it” is). Just trust me. Look me in the eyes when you see me and trust me. This is the place to get down.

On my daily visit to this location I can expect:
-That Houston and Valeria will have the entire gym spotless (they don’t miss a spot!)
-That even though people can be neglectful and leave weights all over the gym, Madison will make sure that everything is back in its rightful place.
-Some customers to be straight 🗑... I can trust that any issues or drama will be left at the door as the management here isn’t weak.
-Trainers in the gym EVERY DAY. If I should need any guidance or assistance, they are literally two steps away.
-Top of the line/cutting edge workout equipment and recovery stations (I.e. hydro massage, sauna, styku body imaging and more)

At the end of the day this is a gym that listens to its customers. A gym that innovates and makes sure not to get left in technology’s dust. A gym that cares. Thank you Madison, Houston and Valeria for always staying 100% and keeping it real. Keep building that fitfam!!!

Absolutely amazing gym. Just moved down from the North East and was a bit nervous to try a new gym in a new area but they made me feel so welcomed! The ladies up front took me through a tour and set me up with a deal that was in my budget- super glad to make this my home away from home 🙂

I've been a member of this gym for nearly 2 weeks now. By far it is one of the best gyms I have ever been to. The only con is that they do not have a steam sauna or a jacuzzi. That is a very small and minor con that is outweighed by the pros of this facility. They have free weights. Which is the main reason I chose to get a membership. All the equipment is brand new and up to date. Numerous pull up bars, treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes and suspension trainers. The staff is also amazing. For 20 bucks a month you can't beat it!

This is one of the best facilities I've ever attended. They care about safety and ensure all the machines and equipment are cleaned and safe. Houston is incredible and always helps out with any questions or concerns I may have. The entire staff is friendly and courteous. 🗑My husband got terrible customer service and he felt body shamed by the employees. This is not a safe environment. Stay away from this place. We are getting a refund soon! If they even give us it! Has anyone else had any similar experiences? Management really needs to change!!!!!

We called and did not get any answers, nor did they bother asking for our information. I was not given a call back number to speak with someone else and am utterly upset at this experience!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Signing up at this gym for training is my BIGGEST regret. I signed up last July for the 3x a week for a month which was over $400. Had one session but had to pause because of a family emergency. When I wanted to return. I was told I had to pay all over again by Sean! I was confused and asked why and what about the amount I paid before. My question wasn’t answered and I paid again. I had one session until the trainer left. Sean or anyone else at the gym DID NOT LET ME KNOW. The trainer had to let me know. I called and asked for my money back. I let them know about them making me pay again and I wanted the $600+ dollar I had spent for only TWO sessions. Madison said I couldn’t have it back and that they would just give my sessions with a different trainer. (Im surprisingly refunded from of the recent payment of $170, but was still out $450+. ) This trainer was nice but she got let go a few weeks after I started my training. AGAIN NO ONE LET ME KNOW!!!! I texted the trainer to make sure we were on for our session (she usually texts me asking if I’m still going but didn’t) she had to tell me she’s no longer there and that there wasn’t another trainer there. I email Madison and wanted to know what was going to be about my training now. I’m forced to stay here because of the amount I spent. He forwarded me to Sean. Sean said there would be another. When I emailed back about my availability and such. He didn’t email me back until two weeks later. By this time I already called the store wanting some type of higher ups number. But I wasn’t provided with a number or any way to resolve this. It’s been about a month with no training again. On top of all that. IM STILL BEING CHARGED MONTHLY. I paid 600+ for a training I wanted a refund on and they’re still charging me monthly. I just want to get my training over with and get my moneys worth and get out!!! This place has the worst customer service and the worst communication. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE.

Buyer beware. I joined this facility prior to opening. I was assured that I would not be charged until it was up and running. It was also presented that access to other location would be granted and access key issued there. Before I had an opportunity to even go to the other location I was charged on my card. Major red flag. Then I learned I was moving and there was no location nearby so my decision to cancel was made even easier. I cancelled. I was assured no further charges would be charged to my account and then the real fun began.

Over the course of the next several months not only was my charged, it was charged for the wrong amount (well any amount was incorrect but we are talking amounts almost three times the initial contracted amount). I was furious as anyone would be. I contact ABC financial services they insisted I had to go in person to the gym I stated I had and they insisted I had not. I contacted the gym again. This time a got a Madison that stated they had no one assigned to member services before. APologized for everything and assured me that the hundreds of dollars that had been charged were now refunded. This was over a month ago. I waited a week. Nothing. I called ABC they said nothing had been refunded . After days of no response to emails or calls from Madison and reaching vm boxes that had not been setup by him I finally reached him. Apologies were offered. We reached ABC on three way and they denied ever receiving a refund request.

We then later succeeded at getting a rep from ABC on phone who then magically admitted they received request and will refund. They assured me they had indeed received all requests. IK asked for a breakdown of what was refunded and Madison confirmed they were missing two of the amounts he had promised and I said lets not muddy the waters. We can address after these refunds hit.

Its been more than month since Madison promised me my hundreds of dollars. To date I have received nothing!!! The last time I contacted him, after 3 unreturned emails and several messages with coworkers he hung up on me. I have been advised since some of the amounts charged were beyond the contracted amount there may be criminal charges that may be able to be applied since it happened more than once. I will post to Google if fraud may be able to be added if those charges are filed.

I have written many Google reviews over the years and they are all positive. It takes a great deal for me to take time from my busy schedule to do this. Shame on you Workout Anytime. Shame on you Madison. I have 4 children and you have both literally taken food off their plates during this difficult time. Anyone out there that has experienced similar activity with Workout Anytime please take the time to post and help others avoid their horrid business practices and deplorable customer service.
