Living in Terrell is great bc it’s a quiet country town and this gym mirrors the feeling of living in Terrell; simple convenient and just what you need. I’ve been lifting since my time in the Marine Corps and it’s a great price, location and just what you need. Unless you can actually push 400lbs for reps on dead/bench/squat you’ll find a great gym that you can lift / run anytime with just the right amount of weights you’ll need

I hate that I have to share a gym with such disgusting people and a staff that seems more focused on the sales numbers than the cleanliness of the facility. My wife and I had already been stood up by Anytime fitness on the same day. So we decided to walk in to Workout Anytime without an appointment around 7:30pm and was greeted by an employee, who greeted us with I’m sorry but I’m already way over my time here and I have to be leaving soon so can I schedule both for tomorrow with someone else?? My family and I became members a few months ago, but haven’t been impressed.

One of the biggest frustrations is how many members treat machines like personal lounge chairs. It’s common to see people sitting on equipment for 10 minutes or more, completely disengaged, just scrolling on their phones. It’s not short rest between sets, it’s prolonged, non-workout use that prevents others from being able to access the equipment at all. Since there’s only one of each machine, it makes getting a complete workout incredibly difficult. you’re often stuck waiting for someone who’s not actively exercising.

There are also hygiene concerns. MAJORITY of members don’t wipe down machines after use, and sometimes the cleaning stations are empty because people carry around the cleaner like it’s theirs personally. Even when someone does carry cleaner around, I’ve seen them only spray BEFORE using a machine, not afterward.

The atmosphere can be uncomfortable at times due to loud, excessive grunting, which can make the environment feel less welcoming. It is really over the top sometimes. I’ve seen guys yell when they aren’t even lifting anything.

We had high hopes for this gym, but between poor gym etiquette, lack of available equipment, and cleanliness issues, it’s been a frustrating experience. I’d like to add that we come after hours. Maybe it is better during the day.

I recently had to cancel my gym membership for employment relocation reasons but I was under the year mark on my gym contract. When I first called Toni at Workout Anytime in Terrell, I told her about my situation and she diligently pointed me to customer service to possibly waive the fee. After some confusion with customer service ending up in a “pending cancellation” status that would charge me over $150.00, I called Toni again and she, along with the manager, brainstormed a solution that would help me out. I love this gym, it's my lil safe/comfort zone for whenever I want to workout. The people that go there are very nice and I've never felt more comfortable going to the gym. Big named brand gyms have a lot more people and it can feel intimidating, so smaller/tight knit communities like this one is way better. One of the staff members there, Toni, is AWESOME. She makes going there feel so welcoming. Super sweet and incredibly friendly. She'll literally go out of her way to get to know you, she goes above and beyond in terms of caring for the members at the gym. I'm moving away from Terrell soon so leaving this gym is gonna SUCKKKK. Ownership doesn’t take care of business. Unpaid bills can mean no power, no TVs or no soap or paper towels. The place is filthy. Sad.

BEWARE!! Their contracts are filled with lies and loopholes to sandbag you if you leave! I specifically asked for and bought the membership that would NOT involve a contract annual commitment. I paid extra at sign for my account to be month to month and NO penalty for leaving the gym at any time. I came in and told the girl I was leaving. Next thing I know I’m getting phones calls from a collection agency for 145.00!!!!! My month to mont was only 20.00 how the …. Did they come up with 145 for what was supposed to be a 20.00 month to month account!?? And then turned it over to collections! Again, I was adamant about no obligation to join this gym and yet here I am with a 145.00 collections bill based completely on lies and scams! Never ever will I set foot in this gym or any gym owned by these liars! Beware!! Your contract isn’t worth the paper or computer it’s written on!!

I’ve never been so disrespected in a gym.
For some background about a week ago my friend and I came to cancel our membership. A very nice and helpful lady, Lisa, told us we would be charged for this month so we can continue to come until the 23rd. And older man, Rob, was also working and was there when we canceled. So today, we came in and were stopped by Rob telling us our card scan did not go through. So when we rescanned and it still wasn’t showing up yet, we were trying to explain our previous conversation with Lisa. He was immediately very disrespectful and continued to cut me off saying “you need to leave. Bye. Bye. Goodbye. Bye” I said that we would gladly leave but there is no reason to be rude. He said “no, because i know how this works, your gonna leave and go cry to mommy”. He continued to raise his voice and be extremely disrespectful. We were both taken aback, but started to walk out the door. As we were leaving he said “keep working out cause you need it!
After the fact, I went back in to ask for his name and was informed by a different employee that the computers were delayed and that is why our names did not show up immediately.. But regardless of the situation, there is never an excuse to speak to anyone the way he did with us today. It’s one thing to have a miscommunication, but to completely shame someone and be outright disrespectful is absurd.

About a week me and my friend went up to cancel our gym membership. After we had canceled, the kind lady at the front told us we are still able to come up until the 23rd because we had already paid for this month. Then today we came up to workout and as we are working out, Rob one of the employees asked us to rescan our cards because they didn’t show up. So we went up to scan and there was a delay with the computer so they were not showing up immediately. So Rob asked us leave, after telling him about the conversation a week prior with the lady he told us we still needed to leave very rudely. We asked why he was speaking to us that way and he said “because I know how this works, your just gonna go cry to your mommy and I’m going to get a call about it”. We told him that we are adults and have no reason to call anyone. After, we told him that we will just leave it’s really not that big of a deal. Before we could even finish the sentence he continuously told us “good bye” and to “leave”. Then on our way out we said that we will just go to a different gym, after the door was almost closed he said to us “keep working out because you need it”. After the fact, my friend went back in so we could get his name and another kind man working there said that after we had left our names eventually showed up. And apologized for the events that had previously taken place. I have never in my life felt so disrespected. He has no filter and does not know how to speak to a young woman. If I would have been any older I do not think this would have happened. Rob is the only employee that I’ve had a bad encounter with, everyone else has been very kind and welcoming.

This experience was one of the most disrespectful encounters I have had in a minute. To start off I went in the renew a membership prior to this morning. The employee I spoke to was very helpful and understood the situation at hand and allowed me to renew said membership. I came the following morning and brought a friend. Who for all intends and purposes is of age. We stood at the door scanning the card and it would buzz but the door wouldn’t open. Eventually after the fifth time the gentleman working came in and let us in. He then took my member card and scanned it himself inside. After that he addresses my friend and says well I’ll just let her slide today. We went about our business putting our phones in our lockers to then go workout. He waited for us outside the bathroom then starts yelling saying “who’s _____” Blank would be my brother who was shipped off to the military a couple months ago and had originally had the membership. Like I had mentioned I went in prior to this morning to address this and fix the name on the membership and also paid to have it fixed on the spot. As the gentlemen keeps yelling at my friend and I, waving his hands, telling us to “fess up” as if we were stealing something. Then tells us we have to leave. So then I ask him how can I solve this problem that way this NEVER happens again and I can simply WORKOUT. He tells me “I remember your phone call, and there’s nothing I can do for you. You basically paid for no reason. You were told false information and you need to leave.” First off, I would have been a paying customer but you lost my business. Second off, this man has no clue how to speak to anyone much less young women.

Plenty of cardio equipment, adequate number of weights. Love the specialty equipment. Assistant manager Ms. Lisa brightens up the entire gym with her presence. Also ask for Robert when you need fitness assessment and advice. He makes you feel comfortable and confident.

Staff is friendly and welcoming. They also provide excellent customer service. Provides a friendly low-key environment to exercise. Staff is always willing to explain machines if needed. I've been a member for over a year haven't had an issue at all even when going with my 20-year-old daughter.

Awesome Gym with amenities that can be utilized for all ages. Friendly and courteous staff. Affordable prices and convenient location! I would refer anyone to at least try them out, the gym is a bit small but accommodating.

It’s a really nice and clean gym. The machine function well, good quality, and are clean. The only thing would be the trainer ,she just copies other people routine and trains people with it. Which is not fair.

I've been to Workout Anytime Terrell a few times and I'm so happy that there's such a nice, clean small gym in Terrell—it was truly a surprise. I usually feel uncomfortable in smaller gyms but this gym is really welcoming to visitors. Now that I switched jobs, I go to the Workout Anytime Arlington location and I'm more than satisfied with both. They set the bar high! (which is great for pull-ups, of course... lol).
