I would recommend this gym to my friends. I feel that they have the best manager, Dawn is the manger took over after the other manger left. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be there. I’ve been a member before they open the gym. I seen mangers come and go. Once I meet Dawn I knew they pick a good person for the job. I think if she ever leaves the gym it will fall apart.

Currently looking for a space to rent. Went in there and talked to andrew at the front desk, he very rudely informed me that they do not rent rooms or even portions of the gym. When I asked if I could talk to the owner, he informed me that because they are a franchise I could looked that up, and told me to grab the general managers card instead. All in all it was very unprofessional and terrible customer service.

I absolutely love World Gym. I found this gym as I used to work at Ingram Park Mall across the street. This gym has top tier, motivational staff and everything you need to support your healthy lifestyle. All of the staff was very helpful every visit and always enthusiastic to make the gym a fun place to visit (although I had to drag myself there plenty of times). The gym offers very affordable rates and buddy pass plans. I was able to try their personal training before making a full commitment. The women's locker room with showers, women's only studio, kids center and hydromassage chairs were all added bonuses that made this gym unique. If you want bang for your buck and a smaller/close-knit gym, then do not hesitate with selecting World Gym. If I didn't have to relocate, I would still be a member today!

I was a loyal customer to golds gym for over 15 year but finally had to end our relationship due to very poor customer service and equipment. As a power lifter I switched to world gym and will say I was very pleased with their free weight section and amazing customer service. Needless to say I recently had to cancel my membership due to Covid. I will say dawn the general manager was very understanding and very helpful and was able to cancel both my wife’s and myself memberships no questions asked and no pressure to return. Because of their understanding and kindness I will definitely return once this whole Covid pandemic is over with.

Been a member to this gym for over two years, and since COVID started I’ve never seen a gym more selfish with its customers. When COVID started and the gym closed for several months they would still charge your account the full membership price and in return they offered you extra months after concealing your account. Yet you try to cancel your membership and they make it difficult. Now that the location is open they are concern for the hours and they are operating on restricted hours when it’s supposed be a 24 hours gym Monday-Thursday as the weekend hours are even worst. This leave me with no workout time due to the hours they are operating with, mean while I’m still paying for the full price membership, yet can’t workout. Every gym in S.A. If function in it’s original operating hours. The equipment needs some restoration as they is several machines broken and benches torn. Seems like they only care for the VIP all access members.

I've been a member for a little over a year and I can not rave enough about not just the environment, but the Staff. I've been a part of many gyms in the past, but WG Ingram Park definitely makes me feel welcomed and that they really care for my well being. After having my 4th child, I got with one of the trainers and lost 30lbs and felt the healthiest I ever have. They really listened to what I wanted and checked in with me often. They have become more than just staff at the gym I happen to go to, they have become some great friends. Now with COVID, I can honestly say that every time I go I always see the equipment being sanitized and feel comfortable going.

Equipment is maintained and kept clean at all times. So, anyone nervous about that annoying virus, rest assured this place is clean as a whistle and social distancing is enforced. Aside from keeping their gym up to par with cleanliness the staff is very friendly and will help you with any questions you may have. I'm new to gyms and was nervous at first. But after going in, the staff made me feel right at home. This is definitely my permanent spot. If you have that tiny voice in your head telling you to make a leap and join a gym. DO IT! I joined in October of 2020 and this is an amazing gym. Everyone is professional from the front desk to the management. The members are alsi respectful to eachother. Everyone keeps it clean and organized. The classes are great. Natalie is the most motivational instructor I have ever had the pleasure of knowing!!! I’ve been going to World Gym for about 10 months now and I’m loving it! Cheap memberships with great equipment. The size of the gym is perfect, even if it’s packed you can get a great workout in and they even have a separate workout room for ladies only! I attend WGX classes at least twice a week and love the trainers. They push you physically and mentally and know every person that comes to their classes by name. The front staff is also very friendly and always helpful. I love a lot of things about this gym but I think my hands down favorite is the fact that they have user friendly machines that are hard to find in other gyms i.e. an arm bike for people with leg injuries that can’t use a regular stationary bike and so much more!

This gym has been my favorite in San Antonio since they opened. It’s the only one in San Antonio. The staff is very friendly and really make you feel like family as soon as you walk into the door. They’re knowledgeable and their customer service is the best. Dawn the general manager is also very friendly and understanding. I’ve been with this gym since they’ve opened in San Antonio and it will always be my first choice.
They have tanning beds and massage beds and great workout equipment. Now, with covid they take all safety precautions to ensure their members are in a safe and clean environment. If you’re shopping around for a gym membership I highly recommend it and you won’t regret it.

recently signed up with this gym. gym is well kept and clean. the gym was good enough for me to make a switch from another gym. the atmosphere is good. more serious weightlifters than other places. the cons about the gym is that there is alot of equipment for the amount of space that is available in the establishment. the dumbbell area does get very crowded and limited seating. otherwise, gym is very good to workout at and no negative reviews about the gym.

I LOVE WORLD GYM. It prepared me for bootcamp even before I knew I was going to bootcamp. I’d also highly recommend the athletes classes. It’s awesome. I learned how to Olympic lift with super knowledgeable trainers. I had wanted to do CrossFit but it was too expensive so world gym was perfect because I could do the athletics classes for a fraction of the costs and get the same results. 10/10 recommend

Cool place. I've been working out there for some years now and the equipment is adequate. However, one late morning I was working out on leg extension machine doing my usual routine and this employee(whom I think was one of the owners) comes up to me with a broken piece of equipment in his hand(as if I had something to do with it) and says, " Can you take it easy on the machines, I have a warranty on them and want them to last forever." TF? I respect people's property and everyone who has to use that facility. I was NOT being a "GYM MEAT HEAD" at all and wasnt even making a lot of noise. Weights clashing against weights are going to have some type of noise period and equipment wears out. Usually people make noise on free weights like dead lifts or bench etc, but on an leg extension machine?? Although he wasnt rude about it I felt singled out and haven't been back since out of fear that I'm going to be lectured about how I work out. There are PLENTY of gyms with WAY more amenities then this one. On top of that their cycle classes are an extra fee as if they have this elite programming. The ladies in front are always kind and respectful but theres only ONE world gym in San Antonio I believe and that's just not convenient for most people on the go. Most likely going to cancel my membership. I work hard for my money and when I feel I'm not being treated fairly as a customer or appreciated as a PAYING customer
Then I just take my business elsewhere. I have two condos with nice gyms that I dont even have to pay for. But I guess, you get what you pay for.

My children informed me that they are told when they are thirsty that they are to drink out of the sink when there is only one person on staff in the children's place OR wait until their parent picks them up. The women's room DOES NOT have actual air conditioner, just two measly fans. Apart from an older caucasian women with short hair & black framed reading glasses staff is mediocore. She though is always extremely friendly, great attitude, always greeting everyone. The younger staff is always just on cell phones, never really look up, or acknowledge one, never smile, arms crossed. Extremely UNFRIENDLY. They seem to hate their job.

Not happy with this place at all!
I decided to cancel my membership and was told that I needed to give a 30 day notice which I did. I was aware that I would be charged for one more month and that I would still have access.
However, I went on a Monday morning and was told that my membership was canceled and I was no longer allowed to workout there.
Also the girl at the counter promised me that I would not be charged and all was done.
I checked my account and sure enough I was charged another monthly fee. I called and was told that they had made a mistake and that I was welcome to come back. I just wanted a refund and it wasn't granted.
Very unprofessional!! I will never reccomend or even step foot in that place again!

Such a disappointing experience as front desk staff girls are not friendly and rude. I go to other club LA fitness and never had any problem even if I take guest free for 1-2 days . Girls at front desk didn’t allow my wife to try this gym for one day free and wanted me to pay 10$ something . Money was not the issue but just trying to understand in positive way about how she would have been member too like me at that gym if she would have tried it free for one day . I even told them my wife workouts at LA fitness and I convinced her to do one day free trial at world gym and how good their machines were becoz I’m a doctor of physical therapy . I had to go back and exercise with her at LA fitness . Doesn’t feel like even stepping again at that gym and well they have a year contract so make sure when you register ask them . I just go there becoz of my personal trainer Josh and he is such a awsome guy. I am a fitness competitor and IG model but those front desk girls were so rude and specially the one with the glasses . She was stubborn and was telling me as if I was asking to exercise free for one year. Poor customer service and doesn’t listen . I don’t care about membership at this gym and they can charge me for whole year or cancel my membership. Be a positive , good person and understand person in front of you .

I love this gym!!! I started with just Zumba with LoLo and casie they are the best!!! So I tried out a one on one class with Jon one of the trainers... he showed me what their Performance classes contain ... I loved it !!!! He was very helpful, he explained to me the right position before even making pick up any weight. I personally think that’s very important ! So I give a big THANKS to JON for encouraging me to try it out. Now I’m doing my foundations with GiGi and she also explained step by step asked if I had any questions to stop her at anytime. I also tried out her pace class (I hate running) BUT omg I loved her class... it was a great workout! Today I went to my 1st performance class 💪🏽😊and yes I loved it too 😂

I would love to workout here for just the smashball, tire, kettlebells, and box equipment on my own with no trainers but unfortunately you have to pay the price of the most expensive package. Otherwise you only get the Basic gym equipment and all gyms have. I like all the CrossFit equipment without having to do the CrossFit classes and training. Just wish that when there is no classes going on they would let the other members work out on the Athletics portion of the club

I just moved to the San Antonio area and debated about which gym to choose. I read reviews on all surrounding gyms and decided to take a chance on World Gym. It was a great decision. It has gym and CrossFit equipment to allow you to have the ability to mix your workouts. I also like the fact that they have a women’s small workout room for women who want privacy while working out. I wish they had a sauna but with all the positives I can sacrifice it. The facility is clean, the equipment is clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. If I could give 10 stars I would.

This gym has changed the way I look at fitness. I always went to the gym and kept to myself but once trying World Gym Athletics I was able to meet so many great people. I have been able to improve my olympic lifts and build my endurance. I've seen great changes in what I can do with Jon's help in cleaning up my movement with skills sessions while Jon, Shannon, Gigi, Eric, Ben, and Lawrence have been amazing coach through out HITT, Performance, and One Barbell. This is a great gym with great staff. The staff at the front desk are awesome. They remember me and my family and always greet me when I walk by. The only thing that makes this gym a three is that there is a Chinese Restaurant next door that is clearly infested with German Cockroaches (the kind that doesn’t live outside). I have talked to the manager about it and he is really doing what he can (which is call the exterminators) but everyday my kids tell me how many roaches they saw. I love the gym I just don’t want to take one of these roaches home with me. So if you can deal with the roach problem this is by far the best gym and gym staff in San Antonio!

Great gym. I would give it 5 stars were it not weird music they play at night. It sucks. Horrible workout music. Its set on some kind of playlist that's nothing but remixes. If they actually played some good consistent music it would be much better. So please change the music that is played and get those speakers fixed. I can hear them breaking with all the static coming from them when the bass gets loud.

I was in two different martial arts for over 20 years at a martial arts seminar I suffered a horrific injuries to both my knees. After 2 years and 4 surgeries I decided it was time to retire from the martial arts. After going through years of rehab I could barely walk without a limp. Then one day I get a flier for a World Gym opening near my house. The gym offered free classes with an all access membership. That's when I first met Coach Gigi she was always super positive with me and never stopped believing in me even when I wouldn't believe in myself. Over the last year she has helped me make going to the gym a habit and because of her I'm able to train with very few restrictions. In the time I've known coach Gigi I went from a guy that could barely walk to someone that recently run in a 5k. I owe coach Gigi alot and I feel very luckly to have her as my coach. I can't wait to see my progress with her after 6 months or a year!

This gym is very clean and the staff is professional, but if your actually going to workout hard and make some noise not the gym for you. It’s basically planet fitness 2.0. I think the owner of the gym is low key racist. Like I said if you want to look pretty and lift some weights then go to world gym. Especially, if your a female and show off your private with overly tight clothes then go to this gym as well. Nobody ever seems to tell them anything about their distracting outfit. Beasts are not allowed at this gym in fact you get kicked out in the middle of your workout.

I'm really happy to have finally found another gym to call my own. I moved to the area last year and left behind a gym I adored. Since then I tried a few different options in my price range but nothing stuck. Then after getting scammed by a certain private gym owner I thought I'd give up the search completely. Boy, am I glad I didn't! I decided to try this World Gym because it offers a lot of what I was looking for.

1. Group Classes to keep me motivated
2. Plenty of up to date and well maintained gym equipment
3. A clean facility
4. An environment that made going to the gym fun again

World Gym has ticked all the boxes so far. I'm loving the classes and see myself building up a routine again. I was hesitant about the annual contract but I am sure to make good use of it.

I hope to see some more new group classes added in the future and I'll be keeping an eye out for any upgrade sales that might happen! A girl can dream. 💪

Its a great gym. Theres a huge selection of different machines. Nobody discriminates or gives you attitude. Its a great workout environment. The staff is courteous and helpful. Its definitely recommended.

I really enjoy the gym location is perfect!
I attend the performance classes. However we have been asking for the music to improve or allowed us to have a speaker to play music.
Its hard to get a great work out when the front desk plays music that can put you to sleep.
We came from a box to world gym some of the coaches are really pushing you to improved and have good motivation.

But can you please give us some good motivation music!!!! Let us play our own.

I love my gym. The staff is absolutely amazing. Friendly customer service and family friendly environment. Membership is affordable with many classes inclusive. This gym is made for all types. Gym is nice and clean. I highly recommend for moms with a busy life trying to get their year off to a great start. Hours are wide spread and classes available all throughout the day. It's worth it and you will not be disappointed.

Staff is for the most part pretty great. Very friendly and acknowledge your existence minus a select few who tend to be playing on their phones as people walk in and out.

Gym equipment is great too. I wish there were more of the fixed chest/back machines that you add weights too. I've always found those to be pertinent to a solid workout. They only have the basic wide grip lat pulldown and low row one and incline/flat chest press.

One thing that bothers me about many gyms is the lack of standardization/continuity in TEMPERATURE. I feel like at this gym it's all a matter of who is working the front desk. I believe that gyms should be a bit warmer to prevent injury and promote sweating and I'm not talking like 80F, but a good 72F would be sufficient. However, I have to go warm up in my car on certain days even though I am in a jacket shivering. If I don't everything is cold hands, ears, running nose, even my eyelids. Mind you I'm 210 pounds so I'm not exactly the smallest and I take thermogenics! I guess I could workout in a jacket and sweatpants, but then I might as well join crossfit and workout outside.

GREAT gym other than my one complaint. But temperature prevents a good workout and if I can't get a good workout what's the point of the gym?

After going here for 8 months I could honestly recommend this gym. They are building a positive community and are just starting some gym events too! Can't beat it for the price. Just wish they had a sauna 😭

I just started a month ago and love it! The staff is great and remember you. They also will answer any questions you have. I love that the machines have pics to remind you how to use them. I love the classes! So glad I joined. And 22 a month is great savings!

If I had one gripe it would be the locker room. Small and lockers could be bigger so I could fit my own yoga mat. Also dressing rooms would be nice.

WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE!!! ZERO STARS!! These people are horribly greedy and seriously over priced. They do not care about making things right with the customer and only care about collecting your money! They will charge you a late fee even if you pay on the due date...I've had problems with them since my agreement started and they have not made any attempt to make things right. That's because I have spoken directly to the "highest" manager Corey who was completely unhelpful and had no customer service skills.

COMPLETELY INCONVENIENT to cancel the membership! AFTER YOUR MANDATORY YEAR OF MEMBERSHIP, You have to take time out of your day to go in and show your driver's license, then they still charge you another 30 days after that. I don't understand how a company can be so oblivious to how pushy they are on their customers. I am sure they just don't care and only want your money.

Kim Hatton and other employees understand that customer service comes before the money the gym makes. Kevin Saldana has it the other way around. I am not one to make a review like this but than again I have never had an encounter like this either as far as customer service wise. Needles to say after April the gains will be made else where! 💪😜

I dont know if it's just me but I have not found or seen one 35lb plate. Also not being 24 hour gym every day is a let down only 3 days out of the week pretty sad. Also to many machines. While I'm on machines the weight doesnt feel like the weight it should be 50 feels like 35 and so on with any other weight for the machines

This gym is the BEST gym I have ever been to. I have had 3 other Gym memberships in the past years and I have cancelled with all the others because they just did not fit right for me. World Gym is where I will stay. Staff is AMAZING, front desk as well as Kids Club. Defiantly love taking my daughters there while I work out. The Managers have the best customer service skills and are gladly willing to fix any problems. I've recommended this gym to all my family, and now they go there too! :)

Been a member for several months now. Very good gym. Was a member elsewhere before joining world. Not to disparage the other gym--it was adequate--but World has better equipment, more options and better upkeep, despite being in a smaller space. The hours are convenient and the guest privileges are terrific. Been a completely positive experience for me.

Love this gym! It’s a hidden gem. I live on the other side of town but I drive here. I already bought another gym membership but i prefer this gym. It’s not too busy and a great value. They have everything you need and the staff is always tidying up. Not like la fitness where the weights are not where they’re supposed to be.

Left golds in november due to rates constantly going up and quality going down. Was tired of a packed, dirty gym that always had something broken. Best move i could have made. Staff treats you right. Very clean and no weirdos cruising the rest room. A sauna would have been cool but no complaints otherwise.

The staff is Awesome! They are very attentive to the customers needs! New equipment, to include hydromassage chairs after a hard work
