I worked out at 9Round Kickboxing for 9 (yes you heard that right!) years before they closed, then the League for 6 months before they closed. I was trying out local gyms in the area and had heard about Yellow Rose but was hesitant to try since I incorrectly thought all the workouts revolved around the barbell. Well, after SEVERAL friends encouraged me to try it, I was instantly hooked! And have worked up the courage to try barbell, though they always have alternate workouts available, which has been great! And there are days that the barbell isn't even on the list! Needless to say, I have been very happy here the last 4.5months and can't wait to continue seeing improvement in my strength!

Yellow Rose made me feel comfortable starting from scratch. I joined after having my second child, at a time when I felt like something had to give. I hadn’t worked out consistently in years and I was honestly terrified to start. The on-ramp process helped ease me in so that when I started group classes I wasn’t walking in completely overwhelmed, and the coaches helped me scale where I needed it while still pushing me to build.
I originally wanted to immediately start nutrition coaching to lose weight, but Clark encouraged me to first focus on showing up and building a consistent fitness routine, so I actually followed directions and started nutrition coaching with Rachel a few months later. That was/is a really positive experience because I lost the weight, but I also learned a ton about how to maintain it with solid nutrition choices.
Now I do both one-on-one and small group personal training along with regular group classes and nutrition coaching peppered in here and there, and I love it all. Yellow Rose is part of my daily routine. It doesn’t matter if I only have 50% to give that day. Just walking in the door is a win, and that’s what keeps me coming back.
For anyone feeling a little intimidated or scared to start, this is the place. The coaches, the structure, and the community really do change the way you see yourself and what you’re capable of. Five Stars. More if I had the option.

I joined Yellow Rose shortly after having twins, and this gym has completely transformed not just my postpartum body, but my confidence too. I love the variety and structure of the workouts — they keep things challenging and fun every time I come in. The facility is always spotless and well-organized, which makes such a difference. And the little touches — like Bath & Body Works soap, extra hair ties, and feminine products in every bathroom — show how much they truly care. Yellow Rose Fitness has without a doubt changed my life. The coaches have re-introduced the world of strength training to me in a welcoming and encouraging environment that keeps me coming back for more. I love the option of being able to workout in “ladies only” classes or jump in the “after hours” class when my work schedule is too busy. I also love that my daughter is in the kids strength training classes where they teach fitness in a functional and healthy way. I wish we had joined sooner! :)

The small group training sessions at YR are excellent. It is an 8 week program where each participant has a unique strength training
program based on their individual goals, that is executed in a small group. It is fun to watch and share “tea” with your small group! Personally, my strength has increased significantly during these 8 weeks.

I've been working out in the new semi-private training for about two months now and couldn't be happier. After giving everything to my own business for the last 7.5+ years, I finally got over my own self conscious excuses and signed up to train with Clark and can't look back. I am so lucky and happy to have found Yellow Rose Fitness. The environment is inclusive in every sense of the word and caters to all fitness levels. Despite the intense environment that often comes along with any strength-focused gym, I've never felt more safe and comfortable in a fitness/gym environment. The coaches are incredibly helpful, offer modifications as needed, and push you to your full potential, while also respecting the boundaries you have for yourself and your fitness journey. Everyone who attends the gym is so friendly and welcoming that it makes me want to extend that same kindness to any new gym members/visitors I meet. It's easily the best part of my week and while I enjoy seeing physical progress, the mental benefits of working out with amazing people in an amazing space far outweigh my relationship with vanity, Lol. If you're looking for a gym, but apprehensive about stepping back into a fitness routine, I can't recommend Yellow Rose Fitness enough. Hardest step is willing yourself to go, but once you're there, you won't regret it.

5 stars for the happy mama movement program and Dom Anderson as a personal trainer/coach.
The HMM program was so supportive, informative and beneficial post partum. The program workouts were intentional to engage your pelvic floor throughout movements. I left every class feel empowered, challenged and strong.
We originally came to this gym to train with Dom Anderson. My husband did a few 1:1 private training sessions that were tailored to his needs and skill level. Dom kept him engaged and went through the sets with him!
My only feedback is if you’re an amenities person come with low expectations… this is more of a get in and get out kind of place. The space itself needs some tlc.

This place is amazing. Never once felt intimidated or unwelcome even when I took months off. Started there doing personal training after knee surgery and ended up moving to classes. Went from not having full range of knee motion barely able to squat to full range of motion and lifting as much as I did in high school. Love that they want you to get what you need out of a workout. Don’t want to PR, they have another work out ready for you already posted. Need an alternative to a movement they are right there to give you all the options you need! These people care!

After taking a few years off from a "box" gym and working out at few national chains, I found myself reaching a plateau and slacking on consistency and accountability.
That changed immediately upon joining Yellow Rose. The coaching staff is exceptional. They are friendly and have a great understanding of the movements as well as the programming (and the rationale behind the programming), and work hard to make sure that everyone gets the best out of their workout (whatever that may be for each person).
They have created a special community at Yellow Rose. I quickly made friends and look forward to waking up extra early to make the 5am class. I moved over last fall but should have made the switch years ago!

Amazing! I don't have words to properly describe what YR has done for me. I'd suggest anyone give it a try because I would swear if you give them a chance they will make an impact on your life and goals. The commitment by the owners to connect to their members. The coaches support to drive you to your goals and keep you accountable. The volume of class options both in schedule and in the groups to bring fun groups together to workout. The youth program is amazing, as focused on the movement as it is the mind of the kiddo.
We found yellow rose through a random referral because it was across from ODC. It has become something my 8 year old son has grown to love to balance between sports. I personally went from a place of struggle and low confidence to a full 180. Losing 50 pounds and then having coaches alongside of my for support of building the habits and eating adjustments to maintain my loss. I have finally found a way to stabilize where I want to be and focus on increasing my strength. I've simplified my views by learning from the YR team so I don't worry about a million things. I prioritize sleep, I move more, I eat less and prioritize good fuel like protein, but I don't exclude treats, and I make sure I'm strength training.
More importantly I've changed my focus. I walk by this at the gym a few times a week. It's become my mantra.

I’ve been to this gym a few times. Once for a nutrition seminar & a couple drop ins. It is always so clean. I have no idea how they keep the floors mopped so well. The staff is also so friendly, educated, and encouraging. No doubt they can help you reach your fitness goals. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing coaches who are meticulous in the best of ways to make sure form is correct across the board (my almost 40 year old body really appreciates this, as getting hurt comes easier these days). Beyond the coaching is their kindness and general fun vibe. The nutrition coaching programming changed my life in so many ways and that combined with their group strength training has led to fitness results that I'm so excited about and am eager to keep truckin' along. I spent 7 years at another gym and have only been doing strength training at YR for a little over 4 months and am blown away by the progress. I'm amazed by the amount of programs that they are able to offer (truly something for everyone), and the way in which they truly do everything in excellence. There is so much accountability and intentionality behind what they do, and you feel that care from day one of starting.

Absolutely love(d) this place! I did the Happy Momma’s Movement Club to kickstart my fitness journey after my 2nd child. I had diastasis recti with my 1st and 2nd. I loved having a place that understood what that meant - that wasn’t my experience after my 1st. We moved out of the area so I’m no longer a member but when we drive by I shed a little tear! I would recommend this gym to anyone looking to get back into the gym, or a seasoned gym(er).

Can’t recommend Yellow Rose’s Happy Mama’s Movement Club enough! It was the perfect way to get out of the house and get moving again while on maternity leave. The coach, Tiffany, and other Momma’s were great to talk to and work out with. Best Part? I was able to bring my daughter with me! She even got stronger through the program, she was sitting assisted at the start, moved to sitting unassisted, and then was on the brink of crawling! Yellow Rose makes everyone stronger!

Clark, one of the owners, took the time to call me right away when I wanted to learn more and welcomed me with open arms to the gym. He listened to what I needed and was incredibly supportive. He creates bright spots and positivity wherever he goes and has, together with Rachel his wife and the other owner, created an incredible community.
Eileen is the most INCREDIBLE trainer. She knows her stuff and has completely customized our training sessions to my needs and injuries. She is kind, thoughtful, empathetic and believes in those around her. She has pushed me at exactly the right level and the progress we have made is incredible and it was done in a sustainable way. She demonstrates every move to ensure I never get injured. She cares about me as a person and is always wanting the best for me. I do not miss a session for Eileen for anything. I am truly grateful to her for all her help. I can do so much more in my life because of her help.
Rachel, the other owner, has been the best nutrition partner on the planet. She is kind, thoughtful and is exactly the person I need by my side to lose weight and be my healthiest. She makes losing weight (20 pounds) a process that is manageable and sustainable and knows that diet fads don't work. I have both lost weight, haven't been hungry while doing it and feel way healthier. She is always there to answer my questions, tell me like it is with warmth, and cheerlead me when it feels hard. Her weekly emails are chalk full of helpful, practical tips.
I also love that Yellow Rose provides strategy sessions to help me improve my life overall. Working with Tiffany on these has been such a great experience. She is so thoughtful and empathetic and really wants to see my success. She follows up and checks in and I have made real progress around the goals I set with her.

Yellow Rose is the most welcoming gym I have ever been to!!! The Legends class is designed to be scalable to your fitness level and meets you where you are at physically. I can tell that only after a few weeks, I am getting stronger and developing more endurance. Just started going here about a month ago and so far I enjoy it. They let you go at your own pace and are cheerful and supportive but not pushy. I enjoy the atmosphere, other members, and Chloe (the coach). I think atmosphere and community make or break a workout routine and Yellow Rose hits on these qualities and makes me want to go again instead of skip.
The workouts are always varied so you aren't stuck doing the same boring movements day after day, week after week. Their modified options are also great, I love being able to adjust a workout to fit how I am feeling that day.
The equipment is nice, well-kept, and varied.
Overall I have loved my experience so far. They also offer a free week to try it out if you are on the fence!

I was scared to join a new gym almost two years ago. My background was a little CrossFit and running, so I gave Yellow Rose a try, and I am SO glad I did! The community is amazing, the coaches are supportive, they know you and check in during the work outs to make sure YOU are feeling good.
Whatever your fitness goals are you are sure to be in the right place. I’m a mom of two (7 yr, 6 months), ful time teacher, so I love that they have afternoon and evening classes. I love it here. This place is truly for everyone no matter your background, history or baggage you might have about working out. Yellow rose is the highest of quality functional fitness strength & conditioning gym. It's been the best thing to happen to me since moving to Houston! I have a background in endurance running & CrossFit, and still find everything here so valuable and the community vibrant.
Some highlights:
-Class organization-- the owners are on top of class sizes! Equipment is set out in advance, members have their own square of the gym & class sizes are capped so you get 1:1 attention every day.
-Coach retention. It's clear that the staff loves working here and are treated so well-- I love that the coaches have gotten to know me as an individual athlete, and I'm able to see daily progress. Nobody is overworked, every coach comes and gives 100% every class.
-THE YOUTH PROGRAM! Unmatched! The youth program isn't HIIT for kids-- it's a program designed to teach ALL kids how to love movement for the sake of movement.
-The Programming-- in-house programming, but with micro and macro cycles, scales for every ability, and enough to keep me on my toes

Let me start by saying I am 6'1" and 285 lbs so walking into a new gym causes me a lot of anxiety. I signed up for strength training and nutrition coaching and this is my third week. The gym is amazing, the coaches are amazing, and the communication and feedback from the coaches/gym owners is amazing! I felt right at home from the start and immediately felt part of the community. Great place to start your weight lifting journey. CrossFit seemed very intermediating when I started, but they ease you into it with a personal trainer and then you start your group classes, which I now look forward to. They have modified exercises for anyone that is starting or has any injuries. The key is to push for your personal best, do not try to keep up with others as they have been doing for many years. You will do great if you think of joining.

After going through an ACL repair 6 months ago, the doctor finally gave me the green light to go back to my regular activities with some limitations. I joined YRF 3 weeks ago but before joining I talked to Clark (owner) and mentioned my condition. He listened everything I said and communicated to his coach staff. Every coach I met during this time, has come to me and offered all the help I need. Also, if some exercises doesn't feel comfortable, they offered other options. I'm pretty happy with everything about this gym. 100% recommended

AWESOME gym/box. Grateful that they are so close to where I live. Staff is professional and welcoming, facilities are very clean and well-maintained, and the training is top-notch, plus they are always looking for ways to improve. I didn't realize how sloppy some of my movements were until I got here and I was taught better. Prior, I was also used to being taught to lift more, though not necessarily smarter. Here, they emphasise form over weight first. They also don't give attendees a hard time over scaling: basically do the right movement and load for YOU. Since coming here, I've gotten pregnant, and through it all, I have been taught how to modify/scale and still feel part of the group, and still get a great workout. The community here is great, too. No one packs up until after everyone is done, which is another nice thing: that we are all in this together. The coaches also talk about lifestyle choices, so not just the workouts, but rather, a more holistic view that applies to life outside and can be applied to the gym, as well. I can't say enough about this place, and the people who make it. Plus: they have not only first-aid, but a heart defibrillator, just in case.

Being a member at CrossFit Yellow Rose for nearly a year has been truly rewarding. From the get go I was welcomed into a community by all coaches and members that encourage and challenge you to get the best from every workout but never push you beyond your limits. I have worked out at other CrossFit gyms and none of them are as CLEAN as Yellow Rose, the staff does an incredible job making the gym look brand new everyday you walk in. I am no stranger to CrossFit myself. What sets CrossFit Yellow Rose apart from my experience at other boxes is the support system and their friendly and positive atmosphere. Your coach begins by asking if anyone has any aches or issues with one of the daily movements and you are given an alternate to work on. With the WOD there are always scaled options which are still challenging. They put on various social events every month. Amenities wise they have showers available, a front seating area, custom apparel and fitness beverages such as recovery for sale.
