About the Club

We are Dave & Stacy Dockins, creators of the Yoga Project™ and Aglio Pizzeria. We have both been teaching yoga since the early 2000s. We owned and operated three yoga studio locations in Texas for the past 15 years. As with many of you, the pandemic has taken us on a wild ride, and we had to close our three physical locations in 2020. It has been heartbreaking on many levels, but we have landed here in Denton, TX continuing to offer classes and yoga teacher traingings. We are overjoyed to have opened Aglio Pizzeria so we can share our love for Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizza and meet more people in this community. We are excited to call Denton, TX our home!

I have been yoga for many years, in cities all over the world, and I cannot express how amazing Yoga Project is. YP is truly a diamond among yoga studios—and right here in Denton. From day one, all of the teachers have been incredible. For yoga heat nerds, YP is outstanding! 5 stars, 10/10! I cannot wait to keep growing my practice and connection with this studio!

Yoga Project is more than just a yoga studio – it’s a true sanctuary where mind, body, and spirit come together. I’ve been attending classes here for a short amount of time but every time I walk in, I feel instantly welcomed and at peace. The owners, Stacy and Dave, have created a space that radiates warmth, authenticity, and community. Their commitment to making everyone feel supported and seen is what sets Yoga Project apart.

I especially enjoy taking classes with Kymber and Megan and Dave. They each bring their unique energy and expertise to their classes, guiding students with compassion and a deep understanding of the practice. Whether you’re an experienced yogi or just starting out, Yoga Project offers something for everyone.

🧘‍♀️✨ Highly recommend for anyone seeking balance, peace, and a supportive environment to grow in their practice.

I came for a week trial and I stayed for a year. Fantastic family owned shop, everyone from instructors to students are very welcoming. Classes are structured very similarly w maybe 25/35% variation between instructors and classes. Thursday Evening/Sunday Morning will kick you in fanny. I could not recommend this business any more. Top Class, Also the pizza smells great, haven't had it yet bc I'm always too sweaty to consider eating.

Dave and Stacy’s 200-hour teacher training at Yoga Project was a one-of-a-kind experience. The program’s flexibility and remote learning option made it accessible and enriching. Stacy’s book and the training episodes are a wealth of knowledge. I highly recommend Yoga Project to anyone looking to deepen their yoga journey!

It is about DAMN TIME that Denton have pizza like this. Traditional, fired at a bazillion degrees, delicious pizza. No hate to the other classics like Jonuzis or the Tomato to be clear but this is my absolute favorite way for pizza to be prepared. The crust is chewy and toothsome, the cheese is subtle and fresh, you can taste the tomatoes and basil without anything being overwhelming. This style of pizza is not the salty and greasy mess that most Americans have come to expect no no! It's light and delightful. This will immediately be added into the very limited rotation we have of places we actually eat. The rule in our house is: if we can cook it better, we usually won't bother eating there. And this is exceptional. Absolutely bravo. Additionally (and just as important) the staff are friendly, orders are punctual, the building is clean, and it's just a beautiful space. 10/10.

Great flow class w/Kimber recently. I rarely do warmed or heated yoga (my local-to-me heated options don’t match my vibe). Yoga Project was a great space to do heated yoga! The class I took struck the right balance between challenging and relaxing. (The cold towel!) Will return when in Denton.

Welcoming and helpful! Beautiful studio. Lots of light for the plants and people. I’m in my first week unlimited classes and will sign up after that. Very reasonable pricing. Easy parking. Very pleased I discovered them! Highly recommend!

My first visit was amazing. I was so relaxed yet stretched at the end. The pace was slow for me which was perfect yet challenging. This is what yoga is about. I slept so good and woke up so refreshed. I’m going to be a regular! I’m so grateful for the experience! Also, here is a cute pic to make your day.

You won’t find a better Yoga studio in Texas. The owners are some of the best people i have met. The yoga taught here is for everybody no matter your skill level. It’s a very relaxed welcoming atmosphere. Teachers are all excellent and friendly. The studio is heated to about 90 degrees and there is a humidifier that helps get a good sweat going. Can’t say enough good things about this studio.

I have attended TYP for several years now, and only have wonderful things to say about Stacey & Dave's team. They have crafted an inclusive, close-knit, caring community of yogis and instructors. Practicing here is always a treat, for both mind & body. I received my 200hr RYT from their accredited school as well, and feel 100% prepared as a teacher. Their philosophy centers around breath & body awareness- applicable to all who enter!

My husband Josh and I just completed our teacher training about a week ago, and I have to say, it's been soooooo bittersweet. I miss all the friends we made, the routine of the program and learning something new each day, but the knowledge I've gained of myself and my practice has been beyond awesome! This training has changed the game for us as yoga students, a married couple and parents. It really dives deep. It truly has been the most valuable gift that Josh and I could give each other. I'm grateful to US for diving head first into this wonderful yoga life, and forever thankful to Dave and Stacy for their hard work and dedication.

If you’re looking for an authentic yoga experience from super knowledgeable people, this is your spot. They have all level classes, from beginning to private lessons and also an AMAZING yoga school. I got the privilege to attend their 200 hour program, and it was nothing short of life changing. I learned about breath and body awareness and they covered so much more then I thought was possible in 14 days! Highly recommended and great teachers. 😊

Just got back from a wonderful training retreat in Costa Rica with the Yoga Project. I am already looking forward to my next one!! I first went two years ago just on the retreat portion. At that time I had not yet decided on persuring a teaching certification. However, the the teachers coming out of their training looks so happy and excited that I decided to become certified at that moment. The Blue Spirit Resort is just beautiful. Wonderful meals are prepped each day and beach it's just a simple stroll down a path. There are lots of oppurtunites for excursions (zip line, horseback riding, 4 wheeling) or just hanging out at the pool or beach. I highly recommend a retreat / training with Stacy and Dave from The Yoga Project in Costa Rica.

Stacy & Dave always lead great trainings. This was the first segment of my 500 hour and I learned a lot. I can’t wait to see what else I learn from these awesome people <3 I would highly recommend experienced or new yoga teachers take one of Stacy and Dave’s trainings to grow as a yoga teacher.

I tried the free week last March, glad I did as this place provides great heated power flows. I’ve only had the chance to do Loren and Peyton’s flows, but you can tell that instructors are very passionate about yoga and strive to give the students a phenomenal experience.

Yoga Project is an incredible studio. This was the very first place I experienced hot yoga 4 years ago. Due to my financial situation, I was never able to have a full membership while in Fort Worth however Yoga Project was the most affordable studio I found in Fort Worth for students. I ended up purchasing classes in packs of 10 and was able to use them over a few months. On top of that, I loved the environment, teaching and practice cultivated there. Dave and Stacy, the founders, are compassionate and focused humans who care deeply about the practice and sharing that with other people interested in exploring yoga. Prior to leaving Fort Worth, I even asked for Stacy's book Embodied Posture for my graduation from physical therapy school. Yoga Project has a variety of teaching styles from the different instructors. I greatly appreciate how well educated each of the instructors are and the accurate human anatomy and physiology incorporated into the classes. This studio is incredibly laid back and encourages every yogi to be exactly where they are, while simultaneously challenging you to pursue your better self. I owe so much of my growth (both physically and spiritually) in Fort Worth to Yoga Project and was sad to move away from this excellent yoga environment.

There are many places in Ft. Worth that I enjoy doing yoga, but this place is my yoga HOME! I love every single one of the instructors, the feel of the studio, the view over the river... just everything! Plus, I never feel rushed in my practice there. I always have room to play, to reflect, to push or to recover. It's always exactly what I need and I never feel out of place!

My husband and I went to Costa Rica for a yoga retreat and to finish my 300 hour yoga teacher training. Stacy and Dave are amazing teachers and kind people who love to share their passion for yoga with everyone. The Blue Spirit was a beautiful and relaxing environment to enjoy meeting new people, reconnecting with old friends and practicing the art of yoga. Stacy and Dave are supportive and encouraging teachers as they help you explore your path as a yoga teacher or practicing yogi. If you have the opportunity to take a class, retreat and/or train with them, I highly recommend it. Your perspective on yoga will broaden and you will find answers to questions you didn’t even know you had.

After practicing with Stacy and Dave, I knew I wanted to complete my 200-hr. YTT with them. The training in Koh Samui, Thailand was life changing, so of course I decided to continue my path to 500 hours with them. My only complaint about the 100-hr module at Blue Spirit in Costa Rica is that I wish it had been longer! The facility was perfect, the people were amazing, and the training has got to be the absolute best available anywhere. If you want to improve your teaching with knowledge that will be immediately applicable on the mat for your students, I can't recommend The Yoga Project YTT highly enough. Thank you, Stacy and Dave for this tremendous opportunity.

After a hectic week, I decided to try hot yoga for the first time to relieve some stress. I had never done hot yoga and this may have been my 4th time ever doing any kind of yoga. As a beginner, is was very easy to join in with the class. Everyone was super friendly and very welcoming, other students and staff! The instructor was nice and had a calming tone throughout the class as she spoke and talked us through the poses and our breathing patterns. When you walk up into the yoga studio, it had a very earthbound feel with the furniture and decor. I loved it! They have a shower and a few changing rooms. The best part was doing class while overlooking the Trinity River & trees!!! I am a very high strung, stressed, and tense person.... Doing the poses while watching the river water flow & watching the tree leaves sway back and forth brought so much peace and relaxation to my mind and body! I will definitely be back to visit next time I need to relieve my stress and anxiety!
