Moving from Washington to Dallas, this place brings me back home. It is beyond a safe space, everyone is so welcoming, down to earth, and passionate. I have done multiple different classes and each one is absolutely incredible, intentional, and beneficial.

I had the pleasure of being invited as a guest by the studio owner, Ali, to experience his class, Sunrise Strength & Mobility. The energy in the class is electric, and the community is incredibly warm and welcoming. I also want to highlight other fantastic instructors like Alex Grimm, Dana Fisher, and Jared McCann, who all teach at Yogazama. The teachers here possess a wealth of knowledge about the human body, meditation, and the philosophy of yoga. If you’re seeking a studio that embodies a strong sense of community and a genuine passion for the practice, I highly recommend trying Yogazama.

I wish I had found Yogazama sooner than I did! Roughly 6 months ago, I started taking the Sunrise Strength & Mobility flow with Ali, and it has transformed my yoga practice. The atmosphere & staff is warm & welcoming. YZ has curated group of excellent teachers, all who are passionate and knowledgeable of the practice, making each class feel personalized and enriching. Some of my favorite teachers are: Ali, Dana, Jared, Kristi, & Alexandra. There are a variety of classes to take, catered to beginners and seasoned yogis. YZ is more than a place to practice the physical asana of yoga, it is a hidden gem in Oaklawn with a very special community, and a safe space to relax and learn more about yoga. The teachers at YZ have changed my perspective on Yoga & what wellness or mindfulness means to me. Happy 2 year anniversary YZ!

This place has world class quality and services that made my 7 week work trip much more peaceful and restful. I tried things ranging from their usual flow and reflexology to sound baths and loved each one. The staff is very friendly and personable, making me feel like a regular from day one.
They have very affordable day and week plans, making trying it out very low risk. I got the whole month and didn’t regret it at all.

Incredible connected experience! I was visiting my friend around the corner from Yoga Zama and found it on a whim, but what I gained was two beautiful practices, one on Saturday with Kristi and then on Sunday with Aaron! Each of them were so grounding and provided these practices that were just what I needed in the moment, and both made me feel in union with myself and those around me! And the lovely people who practiced there were also welcoming and kind! What an amazing experience, I will be back next time I visit…I may visit just to go to Yoga Zama!! ❤️

I had the pleasure of going to a Sunrise Flow class taught by Alexandra — and I think this was my favorite yoga class I have ever taken. Her flow was accommodating yet challenging, and she was so helpful with identifying those who needed a bit of modification or help in their poses. Not to mention the sunrise coming through the floor to ceiling windows in the morning just made this studio stand out all the more.

It has been exactly one year since I truly began my yoga journey at Yogazama, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this incredible studio. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed into a space that radiates peace, positivity, and purpose.
First, I have to recognize Ali Haji, the owner and an absolutely incredible instructor. Ali is so intentional with his classes, and his compassion shines through every interaction. It’s evident that he genuinely loves what he does, and that passion permeates every corner of the studio. From his thoughtful cues during practice to the supportive atmosphere he cultivates, Ali creates an environment that makes every yogi—whether beginner or advanced—feel seen, supported, and challenged.
The studio itself is impeccably designed and maintained. For me to continue visiting any studio, cleanliness is essential, and Yogazama cleanliness is unmatched (even the shared yoga mats are always clean!). Every detail in Yogazama has been thoughtfully curated, enhancing the overall experience.
Over the last year, I’ve seen dramatic improvements in my flexibility, mindfulness, and intentional breathing. My stress levels have significantly decreased, and even my coworkers have noticed the positive changes in me. Yoga at Yogazama has not only benefited my physical well-being but has also enriched my mental and emotional health in ways I never imagined.
I am so grateful to have found Yogazama and to call it my home studio. The community, the instruction, and the care poured into this space are truly special. I look forward to many more years of growth, learning, and connection here. Thank you, Yogazama, and thank you, Ali, for creating such a remarkable sanctuary for practice and community!

YZ is a wonderful yoga studio in the turtle creek neighborhood. I so enjoy this studio for so many reasons— the teachers, owner, and staff are all incredibly thoughtful and welcoming; while the classes vary in style, they are all taught from a genuine place of love and oneness. It is so refreshing to have such a real yoga studio in Dallas. Can’t wait for my next class. Thank you!

This is a BEAUTIFUL studio, with a wall of windows that open onto the serene scene of the tree-studded park across the street. No traffic, no hustle and bustle nearby, and on the inside is a studio equipped with pristine showers, a dressing area, and even a place to grab a spot of tea from their selection and lounge on the open deck before returning to the busier world beyond.
Currently, my favorite instructors are Bruce Pugh, with his decades of experience and solid expertise; Anthony Otero, who flaunts his highly versatile teaching styles and makes every class fun with his charismatic personality; and Melissa Spoonts, who teaches the most delicious restorative yoga class I've ever attended. However, ALL the instructors at YogaZama are wonderful, as each brings their own personal strengths to the practice and shines their own light from within to illuminate the YogaZama brand of classes in a unique way.
In short, this is a really special place with really special people, and you should try it out. I'm glad I did! 😀

Was nervous to jump back in to yoga, but coming to Yogazama was the best decision! So many positives to this space because of all the people who help run it. Because I'm systems-oriented, I'll just make a list:
1. SPACE: The studio is very cute and warm.
2. PEOPLE: They're all sweet humans -- warm, welcoming, kind, you get the idea.
3. CLASSES: Challenging, but gracious enough to allow me go at my own pace. Also, good variety in offerings.
4. LOCATION: A+ and no issues with parking. Close to everything.
Did the week intro pass and found myself coming back for Aaron Elam's YZ Flow and Sunrise yoga classes. Highly recommend Aaron and YZ as a whole!

I just had my second restorative class with Shylie and her sound baths. Truly one of the best yoga experiences (even for someone like me not into the spiritual aspects) I've ever had. I had my first my first class in the studio and it was a Dharma Yoga class. Right mix of flow and stretching. I enjoyed the fact that this more traditional and the instructor was very knowledgeable, Shelly I believe. I enjoyed the vibe from the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the owner Ali who was very welcoming. I would like to try more classes. The price point is a little up there considering the membership cost and drop in cost at other studios. However this is the type of studio where I would love to grow my practice and maybe take teacher training.

This was the best yoga studio I’ve ever been to. I consider myself a beginner as I haven’t practiced in years, but I felt so comfortable in this class. The owner, Ali, taught the class and made everyone feel so comfortable. It was also just the spiritual pick me up I needed during the holiday season. I met someone who said she travels every day from Preston Hollow because she loves the community and I believe it! Highly recommend and I will be back!!

An excellent addition to Oak Lawn. If you are looking for a yoga studio, I recommend you try their $30 1-week trial membership and go to as many different classes as you can. They vary from beginner yoga to more core- and strength-focused yoga (quite tough tbh) to meditative practices and sound baths.
What attracts me to here is twofold: first is the variety, which I already mentioned. What’s nice is that no matter which class you choose, the instructors are accommodating and don’t make you feel judged for not being as flexible as others (which I’m stiff as a board so I greatly appreciate that). The second is they focus on the whole person; here, it’s not just moving around for 60 minutes and calling it a day. They’re doing it because they want you as a person to grow. And I love that!
Other things, the studio is gorgeous. The area itself is pretty big and there’s usually enough space to stretch around. They provide all the props. The only caveat is that their mats are pretty thin and can get slippery in class; I bring my own so you might want to as well.
Overall a great place to do yoga!

This was my first time visiting this studio and I absolutely loved it! Street parking was easy to find, as well as plenty of other parking ready available for the building itself. The space itself has a great vibe, as soon as you walk in you can tell it has a community minded vibe with the layout and way its set up. Turns out its not only a space to practice alllll kinds of yoga types(even some of the difficult to find ones) but also a Neuroscience, Psychology and a yoga center. Its exciting to see new yoga spaces utilizing science and the mind as a way to dive deeper into your practice. Love to see those two world merge!
