About the Club

At Your Personal Best Training Studio, our team of Certified Functional Aging Specialists focus on people over 50 with a concern for their TOTAL and LIFE-LONG fitness. We specialize in the methodology of Functional Aging and know that to experience positive physical change, metabolic improvement and an increase of lean body mass, you must focus on three things:

Fitness
Fat Loss

Our entire Team works with you as an individual in small group settings - recognizing that you have unique likes, dislikes, and needs when it comes to nutrition and exercise. We will help you design a complete fitness future; and guide you as you achieve Your Personal Best.

If you’re 50 or older this is the place to get a good workout. All exercises can be modified to your needs as build a stronger more confident body.

I have been with YPB for some time. I rejoined YPB back in 2020 when being online was an option. I had moved to San Antonio in 2019 and my membership ended once we moved away and could not go to the studio. I cannot imagine my life without YPB. The studio staff strive to support and raise us the clients up. They are disciplined, reliable, and always always infuse humor as a key component of their support. Through the studio I have formed steadfast friends and also see people I have known for years. It is a space that I feel I can strive to be the better me. Regardless of what is going on in our lives we know that wellness and healthy bodies are what bonds us at YPB. This recent challenge, Muffin Top Challenge is one more layer to my personal journey to focus on my health and well being as I muscle through menopause. My overall goal is to come out on top and continue to be strong, healthy and continue to work on positive attitude. YPB studio is key to making that happen for me.

I started with Your Personal Best Studio [YPB] in April 2024, acting on the second, third or fifth gentle nudge from a dear friend, I signed up for a 4-week challenge…on the last day! This challenge included a fitness class, meal calendar, nutritional information, a recipe book and phenomenal support … from everyone include my classmates. I started feeling positive improvements just a couple of weeks into the challenge and HAD TO continue. In the 4 months at YPB my balance has improved significantly, my ‘flesh flags’ don’t wave like they used to, my clothes fit better, I’ve lost 12 pounds, and my stamina increased dramatically [my yard looks so much better because of that!]. I am also more educated about what I eat, and while I’m far from perfect and disciplined with food, I am worlds better than I used to be, and will continue to improve!
It is such a great decision to invest in yourself and YPB will show you how !!

I’ve been working out with Lisa and her coaches for four years. I don’t live in Corpus, but I can do live or recorded zoom workouts every day. The workouts are perfect for the 50+ group and the coaches are knowledgeable, encouraging, and motivating. I’ve also done several of her nutritional challenges and have learned so much about better choices with my eating. I love YPB and their sincere desire to help us stay healthy and active as we age. I have been working with YPB and Coach Michele for a year and a half and have had great results and have enjoyed my time there. While exercising and participating in the challenges, I have lost over 40 pounds while improving my strength and balance. I have learned how to eat healthy and the indigestion issues I was having are gone. Michele noticed that with my weight loss, I was losing some lean tissue, so we met several times for nutritional coaching. We adjusted my daily macros to include higher protein goal to focus on building lean tissue, while still working on my weight loss goals. During the next month my lean tissue was up while my fat tissue percentage was lower.
I truly appreciate the help and encouragement I have received from all the coaches, Lisa, Juan and especially Coach Michele. They are always willing to help me adjust the workout to compensate for my ankle and foot problems.
I am 70 years old and feel better than I have in years. Thank you all.

Joined YPB just over 2 years ago. Good decision, prefect fit for me. The small groups, more personal professional guidance from trainers, support from the other fellow members is what makes YPB GREAT.

I’ve made progress on my fitness journey, losing weight, gaining lean tissue, gaining strength. My fitness journey continues down the path to my fitness goals.

I joined about 2 months ago, to aid in weight loss, avoid total knee replacements and gain energy. I have not been disappointed at all! Everyone treats you with respect and listens to your needs. I am five weeks post-op from having 22 lymph nodes remove under my right arm. I worked out in circuit training with Juan and he is amazing. He modified the exercise for me so I can still get a good work out. He also worked with me on my stiff shoulder and arm by rolling it out. Thank you Juan.

I started working out with Lisa Wright at your personal best training, The experience has been great. Lisa is very knowledgeable and a true professional at her craft. I have been to other trainers before, but Lisa makes it a point to educate me so that I can perform to my best ability. I highly suggest your personal best training if you're looking at shedding some fat building some muscle or just getting back into shape.
