I was a drop in from out of town. At home I go to the studio daily to practice yoga so when I travel I always look for local classes. When I first walked into the small hot yoga room at YTX I thought this is going to be a class with few people, which would have been great. But no, we were packed in there like a can of sardines. I was shocked that so many people were allowed into that small room. The space could not accommodate the amount of people in the class. To fully be present in your practice, you need at minimum arms length between people and from walls too. You need to feel free stretch and to take as much space as you can, not feel small and restricted. This class was full and mats had to be very close to each other, looked to be about 4ish inches apart. My foot was on my neighbours mat for fallen triangle, which made me feel like I was taking away from her experience. And then my face was in her ass due to poorly timing my wide legged forward fold. Thankfully she was a gracious regular there and very understanding. I was frustrated, embarrassed, annoyed and found it hard to focus on my practice. The teacher was amazing and he deserves a better environment to maximize his knowledge and flow creativity. Teacher 10/10, Space 0/10. Total experience 5/10.

I took a morning class today, and it was exactly what I needed. From the moment I walked in, the space felt calm, warm, and welcoming — soft lighting, gentle music, and that peaceful energy you can feel right away. The instructor was amazing and super helpful!! This will be a must stop anytime I come to Austin in the future.

YTX is more than a yoga studio; it's a sanctuary. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a calm, positive energy from the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The cleanliness is top-notch—they meticulously clean the floors and all equipment before and after every single class, which I truly appreciate.

The instructors are all phenomenal, each with their own distinctive and impressive teaching style. It's clear the entire team is well-trained to care for both the people and the space.

I can't recommend YTX highly enough. It has been a true life-changer for me, guiding me toward a better version of myself. Thank you for everything!

Just moved to Austin from San Diego, attended 3 of the free community classes @ 3pm. They are recent graduates and it’s been the Yobody classes and omg I’m obsessed!! Jimena kicked our butt in the best way, had amazing tunes, energy with a perfect balance of strength and flow! The facilities are wonderful with a clean bathroom 2 or 3 studios I believe, and a cold plunge & sauna. The staff has been wonderful and gracious, handing a sweat towel when you enter. I park out front in street parking for approx $2.50 for the hour. I’m so grateful to have found this studio, can’t wait to try more classes! 💪💦

Studio is clean and spacious, front desk are super friendly, love Julia and Joshs’ classes, the movements are dynamic but still feel smooth, natural engaging and never boring, Josh is the best at making sure we have the correct poses - keeping knees bended really have protected my weak joints from injury.

I wish there were more locations in the south, or north. The summer sunset yoga at republic squares are the best!

YTX was my best experience with a gym. The cold plunge and sauna experience is a must for any new clients! The staff at the front desk are friendly and a huge help if you ever need anything. Highly recommend this studio if you’re living in Austin or just visiting. I will be coming back on a regular basis!

Wow. Beautiful space, friendly, helpful staff. Locker rooms, cold plunge, sauna, lots of classes to choose from. The class (power with Leah) was a challenging pace (which I love) but also had the familiar poses to get into the moving meditation that yoga is supposed to provide. I’m visiting from out of town but I’ll definitely be back.

I just moved to Austin, and YTX has quickly become one of my favorite studios for hot mat Pilates. The teachers are amazing, and the classes are both challenging and fun. The equipment—like dumbbells, resistance bands, and ankle weights—is all in great condition. They also provide small towels for class and large ones for showering, which I really appreciate since I like to take a quick shower before heading home. There’s even a café inside, though I haven’t tried it yet. Definitely planning to practice here regularly!

From start to finish, the energy at YTX is incredible. The staff sets the tone the moment you walk through the door... warm, genuine, and fully present. Every person at the front desk radiates the same positive, welcoming vibe that makes the entire experience unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be back. It might even be worth another trip from College Station just to soak in that YTX magic again.

YTX is hands down my go-to yoga studio in Austin, and I truly love coming here. Megan’s Yoga HIIT classes are incredible, challenging, energizing, and always leave me feeling stronger and more grounded. The front desk staff is also consistently warm and welcoming, which makes every visit feel like a positive experience from start to finish.

That said, I want to echo what some other reviewers have mentioned about spatial awareness in the studio. Sometimes students do not shift over to create room for new arrivals, even when there is clearly space on their left or right. It can feel frustrating when people are being a bit selfish, and I think more gentle reminders from instructors would help everyone have a better experience.

Also, one small but meaningful detail: at the Sunday 1pm Yoga HIIT class, the cold lavender towels have often not been cold. Those little touches are part of what makes YTX so special, so it is disappointing when they are missed.

Overall, I keep coming back because YTX is such a wonderful community with fantastic classes and staff. I just hope these details can be given some extra attention to make the experience consistently as great as it has the potential to be.

The instructors of ytx are amazing 10/10 teachers & classes. However On the downside the facility is not well taken care of or very clean.. all of the towels smell awful and moldy. The last thing I want to do after heavily sweating is wipe my face with a dirty/ moldy towel. Even the dry ones they provide have a smell. Also each class is heated so everyone’s sweating very heavily and grabbing and using blocks then once the class ends they’re returned to the same station in the same heated room…. No sanitation at all you can smell it upon entering . If the towels smell like mold wouldn’t be surprised if there’s mold on the blocks as well after never being cleaned and the amount of sweat that falls on them and people breathing on them daily in each class. With the price of the membership & no free parking provided you would think they would make it a cleaner space or sanitation in place. I’m not the only person who agrees I mentioned it to peers and they smiled and said they don’t like to complain . So it’s an ongoing issue that needs to be addressed for our well being.

YOU MADE IT! You can stop searching now. YTX is easily THE best studio in Austin. The classes are built for athletes—YoStrong in particular is my FAVE and is a perfect mix of yoga, strength training, and HIIT that pushes you (you will want to quit but can’t because the class is so amazing). The studio is always spotless, SMELLS amazing (idk how), and has top-notch amenities like red light saunas and cold plunges. The juice bar is delicious and so convenient too. I love grabbing a protein shake after class. It’s the perfect spot if you want a challenging, but elevated yoga experience. Instead of Pilates Princess, think Pilates Warrior. You’re welcome.

The class itself was amazing and I really enjoyed it. The only downside was the towel provided at the end—it had a strong moldy/sweaty odor, which left me with the impression that the facility wasn’t clean (even though it maybe is). Small details like fresh-smelling towels and properly cleaned workout equipment can really shape the overall experience. I’d recommend putting extra care into laundry and cleaning processes in the building, as it would leave guests with a much more positive final impression after such a great class!! Other than that, it was an amazing class :)

I used mind and body to schedule a class. It was full. I asked for my money they couldn’t “find” it and they said a manager would call me back. Still waiting for a call months later. I used to go here all the time, now I’m never going to come back. After posting the review the manager reached out to me and was able to refund me my thirty dollars. I appreciate them taking the time to right their wrong. Thank you again 🙏

YTX Yoga is my go-to every time I’m in Austin, and it’s an easy five stars from me. This studio strikes the perfect balance between being welcoming to newcomers and offering a legitimately challenging practice for seasoned yogis. They have several types of classes, I usually take warm or heated Vinyasa, and the instructors do a fantastic job layering the experience—you’ll get clear guidance if you’re newer, but also plenty of options to up-level if you’re looking to push yourself. It’s that rare place where a mixed-level class actually works for all levels.

The studio itself is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with an energy that’s both grounded and energized. They’ve recently added an infrared sauna, which I tried for the first time post-class—and let’s just say, it brings the heat. It was intense in the best way, a great post-flow reset. There’s also a cold plunge if you’re brave (I wasn’t… not after that sauna), but it’s great to have both options available.

Management is super friendly and clearly creates a space where locals feel at home but visitors are just as welcome. You can feel the community vibe here, but you won’t feel like an outsider. Whether you’re living in Austin or just in town for a few days, YTX is one of those places that makes it easy to drop in, get a great sweat, and walk out feeling like you did something good for your body and mind.

I especially love the warm Yin candlelight practise to help with jet lag.
I just wish I had this studio closer to home.

My daughter and I had called the studio that morning to confirm location in class type. The person answer the phone confirm that was downtown and that it was a power Vinyasa class. No other information was offered nor did we ask not knowing where exactly you are located. In retrospect, some added information should have been offered and reference to the parking garage, which can be rather confusing and hard to find a spot (adds time). At minimum they should've suggested adding some extra time for that. Upon arrival and signing in other than collecting $30 per person, no mention was made about validating or a 90 minute maximum, etc. I will say class was very good and the instructor was great as well as the yoga studio space and heat level. After class, I asked if you offered validation for ticket I was a bit surprised when five dollars was requested. We continue to order acia bowls. To top it all off when I got to the exit and had to pay even more because I had exceeded 90 minutes, really was icing on the cake for me. you would think that $65 in Yoga and another 35 and I açai balls would've covered parking. Just gave me a bad taste in my mouth and felt that was high for a 1st time drop in especially when I just moved here and am looking to join a new studio

I wouldn't recommend signing up for a membership here because they make it impossible to cancel (but extremely simple to sign up)

There's no way to cancel online so you have to contact them. i've emailed them 4 times now with no response. When I call they say I have to email. I'm still waiting on someone to cancel my account.

Update: they've said in their response I reached out Thursday - it was actually Wednesday. They immediately responded as soon as this review was submitted so I'm guessing that's what got them to pay attention to their email. I guess a pro is that the only way to contact them for a cancelation is through Google reviews- FYI for anyone else trying to cancel.

This place was so warm and welcoming. The studio is really nice and modern and clean and it was easy to rent a mat and towel which I needed because I was traveling for work.

The class itself was beautiful and challenging and just what I needed. The heat in the Room was perfect.

If I’m in town again I’ll go back for sure.

I am disappointed by the lack of customer service here. I arrived early for class on Saturday and paid an additional $5 for parking validation. When I exited the parking garage, the parking validation did not work and I was charged $17. When I called YTX, they said they’d refund me immediately. I have emailed them twice and have received no response. The parking cost almost as much as the drop in class. I used to be a loyal customer of Wanderlust/ YTX, but unfortunately I don’t see myself coming back here again.

In just one week and three classes, I felt a total detox—lighter, more energized, and my jawline was snatched! The infrared-heated rooms, HIIT + yoga classes, and cold plunges have me sweating, sculpting, and glowing like never before. The infrared sauna was the ultimate reset. And the YTX community incredibly welcoming and inspiring. If you’re ready to take your health and wellness to the next level in a remarkably short time, this is the place.

Ryan was a great leader with the kind energy and tone he brings to the table. He also was very receptive to my concerns after class. He seemed to listen and could take comments of criticism which is most important for anyone’s growth. My comment and concern was for the instructors to remind the students to make space/ be considerate of spacial awareness- as the class was packed and not much negative space left, though one student did not pay attention to his surroundings and did not consider moving up to help make way for others behind him, as no one could fit in the negative space in front of him. I’m not good at confrontation and didn’t want to say anything because everyone else seems aware of there space and surroundings n could be considerate enough to make space for others coming into class, this one particular student did not. I did not want to ruin the experience for myself nor him so I waited until most students were done with class just to kindly remind him if he could check his spacial awareness to consider making room for others, he was super offended even with my soft kind tone and reminding him softly- that I am not trying to be rude or attack. Most adults can’t take confrontation unfortunately and he was very mad n upset. I think it would be more professional for the leaders to remind the class and set that tone before any class begins especially at the high volume these classes fill, there isn’t much room, unless others are very considerate and aware. That student waited for me in the locker room and got in my face, yelled at me aggressively n put me down. It was scary felt unsafe and very intense. I did not let him bother me, I responded softly with understanding to his perspectives- let him know I was not trying to hurt his feelings rather than help the next students that have trouble with confrontation. I hope I can make a positive difference rather than making anyone feel less than or bad. Please make this an important class conversation before every class to prevent any negative blowups.

i booked through class plsss, but i was so bothered by this experience that i wanted to voice my concern here too because what happened was not okay and i want to warn others by this instructors attitude because it made me uncomfortable. i come to yoga to strengthen my body and mind, but instead i felt judged and unwelcomed.

the instructor was josh.

i was disappointed with this class due to the instructor's approach. Yoga should be a welcoming and personal practice, but the instructor was harsh rather than encouraging. Instead of offering gentle guidance, he called out 'incorrect' movements in a way that felt
dismissive. When I continued practicing in a way that felt right for me, he made the comment "if you're actively listening and choosing to ignore me, this class is not for you". I was honestly a bit shocked he would even say that.
This experience was not positive or supportive, which is the opposite of what yoga should be.

I was excited to join YTX when they were on Colorado street - but they relocated to a smaller space and it just isn’t working. It just seems that every class I attend is tightly packed in and people are having to get booted or do a lot of shuffling to fit. I’m not sure what the fix is but this new environment is claustrophobic & harder to park at, making it difficult to justify the cost. Trying to stay positive but if it continues I may have to shop around elsewhere. I also feel some instructors are much better at their job than others (actually taking the time to instruct during the workouts rather than giving out a list of exercises and waiting for us to finish)

Overall: 4.5 stars — I found my experience at YTX to be beneficial considering their location and hours of operation. While the high-traffic hallways full of yoga students can sometimes crowd the small space and might not be for everyone, those seeking a unique and invigorating approach for a quick red light therapy session or cold plunge may find it worthwhile. Just be sure to book ahead using their app so the sauna is hot and ready when you arrive.

I'm a yoga beginner who wants to learn and this place is near my apartment so I paid $150 for a two month trial. I thought this would be ok, since they state on their website "All YTX classes have expert led instructors who adapt and modify every pose for all skill levels. If you see a class that interests you, take it!" However, I'm not sure that's the case.

I attended my first class, Vinyasa flow, and was completely lost in the first five minutes. The instructor was rattling through the poses, none of which I knew, at breakneck pace and clearly everyone else in the room was a pro, so I left, feeling defeated.
I explained my situation the person at the front desk who, eventually, suggested one specific class and one specific instructor, severely limiting when I can access the service.

TLDR, if you're a newbie like me, this probably isn't the best place to start. Honestly, I feel kind of duped and am afraid this will end up being a waste of money. The space is nice enough.

Update: And then after I canceled my membership, I was still charged the next month! If I hadn't been checking my account I could have missed it entirely. When I called the only explanation I got was my cancellation "Got lost in the inbox". If you're just an average person trying to learn and improve, you're better off elsewhere.

YTX is the BEST hot yoga studio in Austin and that I have ever been to!

What I look for in a hot yoga studio
1) Teachers that have actually studied the philosophy of yoga and embody the principles, rather than just give me a “good workout”
2) Cleanliness
3) Joy & kindness from staff that is genuine
4) Community

YTX has hit all these pillars for me.
My favorite teacher is Carter!
As a breathwork facilitator myself, i love being guided by someone who is also in love with the BREATH. So many studios are missing this essential component. I have been practicing at home for this reason. But then I found Carter’s class 🫶 His classes are absolutely magical, flowy and challenging. He and Morgan are teachers that embody the principles of yoga, not because of their words but just their energy is felt.

I’ve been a member since 2021 but have been frequenting the studio since it opened a decade ago. All of the spaces are beautiful and impeccably clean. They wipe down the floors between every class, which I appreciate since many classes are heated.

I look forward to showers here, and the lockers are helpful. My only gripe is I wish there were benches in the women’s room for us who change and shower there.

The staff is incredibly sweet, and it’s lovely to practice alongside them.

The studio runs fun events for members, including raffles for class challenges. I’m one of the Beyoncé concert floor ticket winners! Even as a member, I frequent their free yoga series during the summer.

The teachers are fantastic, and my favorite teachers teach the warmed vinyasa and yin classes. I’ve started enjoying the evening THAW classes too, which is half mindful vinyasa and half weight strengthening. It’s not as intense as yostrong, and I appreciate the intentional strength building as I age.

$5 valet parking around the corner is incredibly convenient on busy evenings or when I’m running late. You can’t beat also have an acai/smoothie spot in the studio for a post yoga snack or cooldown.

Look forward to many more years of practice here!

Editing my review from 5 to 2 starts.

Since selling they have went from top tier to no tier. I have been a member since since 2019 and even did my 200 hour through them. But they offer less and less class availability with a premium price. They can't keep up with what they do offer or don't offer. It's a shame. Cutting out any replay options was the last straw. I'll for sure be moving onto other studios full time.
