My wife and I enjoy this gym and really have no complaints. We visit maybe three times a week (3:30 to 4:30 pm - Payson location) We're giving a big shout-out to a new front desk employee. I believe the name is Jolee? Forgive me if I've got it wrong, however...you know who she is. This young lady is always busy. Cleaning glass-vacuuming-wiping down equipment-greeting and chatting with members. Please let her know we appreciate her great level of customer service.

My card broke so obviously they stopped charging me for my gym membership because I got a new card right? Wrong they canceled my membership and still kept trying to charge that card so when I went in with my new card they said I owed 64 dollars from previous month's because they kept trying to charge the card I didnt have anymore so for some reason that makes me owe 64$ because my card broke its ridiculous and I couldnt use the gym in that time period my card broke but they still expect me to pay for that month

River keeps the gym always clean. Each day I walk in he always greets me. Machines are usually always in working order, if not they are fixed within a couple days. I drive from Nephi although there is a gym there because this gym i always feel welcome at and can get the best workout in with all the available equipment.

This gym has gone downhill under new management. The facility is filthy, with black mold visibly growing on walls and in bathrooms, creating a hazardous environment. Bathrooms are often out of soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, while broken equipment remains unfixed for long periods. The staff appear lazy and inattentive, and the cleanliness standards are non-existent. What used to be a great place has become unbearable. Save your time and money—there are much better options elsewhere.

Place is disgusting since new ownership took over. Bathrooms are gross never have paper towels/ tp. Soap has been out several times. About half of the treadmills are broke down. Equipment is down for long periods of time. Old ownership had stuff fixed quickly and it was a lot cleaner. Black mold all over the wall on the north side of the gym. The gym is pretty decent most the workers don’t rlly do anything but sit at the counter on their phones EXCEPT ORION he has completely changed my experience with this gym he always makes sure the equipment is clean and always shows new people the ins and outs of the gym not only that but he greets everyone who comes in and goes out and every time I see him he always asks how I’m doing what I’m hitting and how my day was he has become such a good friend and he always tells me when I leave to make sure to get food and stay safe he not only care about keeping the gym clean and inviting but making sure the people who come in and out are the same he is the only one who even seems to care every other employee is on their phone and ever since it has changed to 180 fitness and not Payson total Orion is the only thing I like about that gym he keeps me in that place of it wasn’t for him I’d leave the equipment is always missing broken or out of order but I always see hike fixing the cardio machines and clean bathrooms and equipment give him a raise

Equipment is in pretty poor condition most the time. Cleanliness and upkeep are definitely down. Holes in the drywall. Dark and dingy atmosphere. HVAC system is clearly not up to par. But the worst part is multiple people have made comments to the employees about most these issues, but we see no action being taken from ownership. Potential to be an amazing gym! But lacking big time… would love to see updates on the property as well as maintenance on the equipment…

Gone very downhill lately.
Used to be full of respectful people many of whom seemed to know what they were doing and using proper gym etiquette.
Lately various pieces of equipment are broken or geririgged with incorrect parts. More than a few people are leaving their sweaty, nasty, dirty equipment for the next person to wipe their disgustingness off.
More than a few people seem to be there for nothing more than to pretend to lift while ogling the girls and staff don't even say hello anymore.
Very unwelcoming, falling apart and uncomfortable.

2nd update 4/23/24
Continued downhill slide of a once great gym the AC has been broken over a week. It getting warm and now it's over 80° inside.

Equipment is broken, plates are scattered. The only thing keeping me here is that I can run over on my lunch.

This place has gone downhill since the new ownership. Poorly maintained and overrun with kids that have little to no gym etiquette.

Normally wouldn't update my review but today was the last straw. The sauna used to be 170-180. It's now under 150. Extremely noticable from walking in until I left 20 minutes later.

Walking in it felt warm not hot and after 20 minutes I was barely sweating more than an intense workout. I used to be drenched after 20 minutes.

I’ve been a member at PTF for almost 3 years and for most of those years it’s been a great gym and I haven’t had any problems. I leave this at 3 stars because of the past few months. They have gone under new ownership and the gym has gone down hill, raising prices of things, stuff not being cleaned, and recently the water has not been working. I feel like as a gym you need to have water for your bathrooms and drinking fountains, it is a huge inconvenience for the gym goers. I have talked to plenty of people who are upset about this.

I've always loved this gym. It was your friendly neighborhood gym for years. I have a lot of different forms of exercise that I enjoy, so I rarely have gym memberships, because I'm not consistent enough to warrant a monthly fee. So I've always just paid the daily rate when I need a good gym day. It's worked great, until I went in last time to discover that the new ownership had doubled their daily rate. Which seems like a huge jump. I know big trendy gyms are usually over priced and charge crazy rates for this, but I was really disappointed because I always thought PTF was more of a locals gym. Sadly I won't be going back.

I go to Total Fitness only because it’s the only place I can bring my kids. (There’s another place I know of but they have only specific times that don’t work with my schedule.) I’m giving them 2 stars because they have all the gym equipment I need, but the “child area” is unexceptional. As you see its the pictures, it’s filthy. The material on the walls are trashed and the carpet is disgusting. My kids sit on the floor the whole time and I pray they don’t pick up a disease while they’re there. I’m SURE they can afford to do some upgrades. And yes there’s a TV and but it only works if you sign in with your own credentials and it takes time to do that and THEN sign back out after the workout. Such a hassle. Please do better Total!

Pretty decent gym.
Except for the fact that the other day, a boy was doing some pretty inappropriate gestures to a girl, the girl exchanged some words with him (as she should) and then 20 minutes later the mother of this boy showed up to the gym with her siblings apparently. this gym let in 5-6 adults into the gym that don’t have passes & didn’t do anything while these adults harassed a teenage girl until this girl left the gym and the cops showed up.
The lady leading the group of adults then went in and told the guy working to cancel the girls pass and they did it.

Lost a ton of respect for the gym. If they pulled the footage it would blow your mind. Psychotic lady screaming at a girl until she cried, called the cops and left. The lady and these adults followed her around the gym for 10 min and the gym did nothing and then cancelled her pass & apparently this poor girls sisters pass too from what I hear.

If a boy was being disgusting to my daughter & then the boys crazy mother shows up and gets in my daughters face, there would be hell to pay. The gym didn’t touch the gym pass of that boy by the way. Insane.

There’s more gyms out there. I don’t respect how this was handled at all and won’t be giving more money to the gym.

Great people great customer lots of room lots of space the place look pretty clean and stuff very freely orientated looks like a lot of people help out each other they're like they know their stuff in case if you don't know I guess you can have somebody they seemed friend friendly like a the place has pretty good deals on a monthly basis I think it's like $35 $30 a month and then they have classes other kinds of classes and stuff like that and they also have a tanning room which is a plus it's pretty good everything looks sanitary well taken care of. Looks like that personal trainers there in case you need a personal trainer for that one-on-one session. But overall the place look pretty cool clean sanitary like I said they have refreshments if you need them there the equipment was very well taken care of clean very Spacey. overall I think I'm going to ask a few friends that we should go join cuz we always work out together and stuff so maybe I'll be good about group of us would go and join and stuff that we can do it together since we go out for walks and stuff like that that maybe try something different like I said the prices seem reasonable and stuff about thirty thirty-five dollars a month and then I think they have other options as well if you want to pay annually it is so that little bit cheaper I guess if you paid annually so who knows whatever whatever fits your budget you know they have somebody to talk to you about it but yeah I give this place eight-and-a-half place eight and a half Stars

I want to start off by saying I love this gym. It's almost always great.

However, going in the morning at 430/5 ish you tend to encounter some very entitled and rude class instructors. There is a turf area, which is rather large. Turns out, putting down a mat and using a 3x3 space is not acceptable when particular instructors are teaching. This lady literally took up the entire area, the whole thing. Then, while I was using my 3x3 section, she asked if I was just stretching - apparently unacceptable to do in that area. I told her no, I was working out. She asked that I move so they could use more space. I was and am extremely irritated by the whole thing.

I debated between 5 and 4 stars but I really like this gym. Not overly crowded and a lot of equipment variety. The ONLY thing that was making me think 4 stars is the dumbbells are slightly outdated (just some) and there aren’t a lot of 45 lb plates in certain places of the gym but I have loved it overall! I think that instead of having a cloth, which holds more bacteria, it would be most effective if disposable alcohol wipes were provided for the members to clean the equipment. I think it would help maintain a clean environment for everyone.

GYM like a GYM it is wonderful, but need more surveillance, I used to go exercise my body, take a shower and return home. But one day some guy come out from Shower room and I come in, when I was almost ready to take a shower second guy was in side the water heater room. What they was making two men inside the bathroom? I don’t know. I make a complain but they never identifying the young men who went in the bathroom because they don’t have enough cameras and I stop coming to the GYM. Also the system to let them know you are not coming back to the GYM 10 days before your cycle finish it it is a pain in the butt. They send me a collection just for 30 dollars. Because I was too busy to go and pay one month.

PTF is by far the best gym I’ve ever been to! They have tons of equipment, different areas for dumbbells and free weights, I never feel like I’m waiting on someone to move off a machine, tons of treadmills and stair climbers too. Just to start. This is a very good gym to be a member at. The employees are very friendly and personable. The owners are great. Here are the question's of the day. Did you sign a contract? I am guessing you probably did. Did you read the contract you signed? I am guessing you probably did not. I have a membership there. I know if I have to cancel it needs a 10 day notice. I also signed the contract that I would pay. You signed a contract that you would agree to pay. If you are late you still owe that money. If you did not want to go anymore you should have canceled 10 day before you were due. If you buy a car or house or even rent an apartment you sign a contract that you will pay. If you are late you still have to pay. It sounds like to me you need to put your big boy or girl pants on and be an adult. On another note. It is pretty sad you have to set up a fake Facebook account to give a bad review. Especially when you are in the wrong. Enjoy Benjamin Burgener (AKA Clark Man). 😉

This company has the worst customer service I have ever worked with. They apparently preach that they have to abide by strict policy, and argue over nickles and dimes just to "follow policy" as opposed to building relationships with customers that want to return. They are similar in their "policies" to Golds Gym, and you know what happened to that gym after millions of law suites. I wanted to take a leave for the winter, was planning on coming back in the spring. I didn't let them know until a week past my payment. They would not waive the month fee ($25) as to "it was policy: "and they need to stay in business". If they are going out of business because of my $25, it should speak miles about the type of company they are. They will nickle and dime you, turn you away and pay cheap brainless workers to work there. Stay away from this company. It is worth paying a little gas money to go up to Spanish fork to attend VASA. Yes.. even cheap old VASA is better then this place. STAY AWAY!

Not pleased at all. Charged $60+ just to sign up and ended up not even going to the gym. Asked to cancel and no one answered the phones finally left a message and they got back with me the next day and said I needed a 10 day notice and there's nothing they can do. They had trouble with my membership card and didn't have it working when I signed up and now I'll be paying $80+ for nothing. I feel I was pretty scammed on this one. Be careful.

This gym is easily the BEST gym in UT county. It's month to month memberships for only around 20$ a person. I've lifted at EVERY gym in UT county and you just can't beat it. It's open 24 hours which NO gym with reasonable equipment can compete with. I'm a competitive powerlifter and they provide all the necessary equipment for ALL types of training including bodybuilding, crossfit, general fitness, etc. Why would you go anywhere else!?

If your thinking of joining VASA instead think again. 6 months before the late Golds Gym "went out of business" they started promoting their $10/month memberships. Since their normal pricing was between $35-60 (depending on privileges) LOTS of people joined. Once VASA bought out Golds, ALL customers were trapped in the new VASA contracts. This overpopulated gym (VASA) reaks of dishonesty and I'd much rather be part of a locally owned gym who I can trust with my bank account.

Payson Total Fitness has been good to me and I'm impressed more every day with all the hard work they have been putting into making their gym an experience you'll never forget.

I transfered over from a commercial gym because I needed 24 hour access and less crowds! I am in LOVE.

(Side note) I went to the commercial gyms for the cheaper price but for only $20 a month you get soooo much more then the commercial gyms can offer.

Not only is there no one here when I come (early early morning) it's actually open and there is a LOT of cross training equipment for someone wanting to dabble in crossfit style workouts. I'll be here as long as I live in payson.

Love this place. Friendly staff, clean and well organized equipment and facilities, TONS of classes, and free WiFi that ACTUALLY WORK. A few days after joining, I contacted them via email with a few questions and had a response in less than half an hour. GREAT!
