We LOVE Alpine Martial Arts. I have one child taking a class and another who can’t wait to be old enough to take a class. Gigi is very patient and kind with the kids while also teaching them discipline and focus and listening skills. The layout of the class keeps kids engaged: they always have the next belt stripe or belt color to look forward to and work toward. 10/10 recommend!

My oldest son started taking class with the Tiny Tigers about a year ago. We have had a really positive experience at Alpine Martial Arts! Sensei Gigi does an amazing job at maintaining order in the class while keeping it fun and dynamic for the kids! He has improved so much in his confidence and skill, as well as his ability to focus and follow directions. We have had such a great experience that I just started my younger son in the same class! Can't praise AMA & Sensei Gigi enough. I have 4 boys ages 13, 11, 8 & 5, all with very different personalities. Sons 1, 3 & 4 attend weekly/bi-weekly classes and Son 2 enjoyed the weapons summer camp. Skills & techniques as well as values like self-discipline, respect, courage, confidence, and mental and physical health are consistantly taught/shared with precision and encouragement. I feel like my boys are pushed appropriately to improve, try new things (such as tournaments) and see their classmates as teammates while still respecting their individual feelings and personalities.

I also appreciated the long-term/big-picture glimpse my boys and I got while attending another AMA student's black belt award evening where he demonstrated various skills, shared the work he had done and how it had helped him as a person.

I feel very lucky to have known Gigi and trained in her kenpo studio! I was under her expert tutelage for over 7 years. Her dojo was an encouraging and personalized environment all the way through, from learning to punch at 10, to an epic two man kata at 18. This studio is the best! Gigi Doyle is a great coach! She has trained my son from when he was a young beginner through receiving his black belt. She has taught him karate and self discipline. 4 out of 5 of my daughters have been students at Alpine Martial Arts. Each one of them absolutely loves Gigi. She is not only very knowledgeable and extremely skilled in karate but she is an amazing roll model and mentor. My girls all look up to and admire Gigi.
