We absolutely love Aqua Tots! They make swimming fun and comfortable to learn. The instructors are wonderful—especially Emily, who is always excited to teach. She makes lessons interactive and engaging, which keeps the toddlers excited and eager to learn. We also appreciate that they have supplies on hand for those days you happen to forget something, clean locker rooms to change in after class, and even a play area so the kiddos can have fun before their lesson instead of just waiting.

They have terrible communication. They will cancel classes without calling before or giving a heads up. They also use a roll call to get your kid into classes and they forgot to call my kids name. As well as they had false fire alarms going off that cause the class to end abruptly. This is the 3rd week in a row we have had an awful experience and ended up canceling the membership and going with the local Rec center.

I started my kids in swim lessons here and I have been very impressed so far. The coaches, Cass, Maren, Sabrina, Isaiah, Paul, and Emily are outstanding and very good at what they do. Both of my girls started lessons a little over 2 months ago, and we absolutely love it here! Sabrina, Maren, Isaiah, and Paul are all amazing coaches and my girls absolutely love them all. Maren has done amazing work with my youngest, who isn't a big fan of swimming or water, in private lessons. She has made a huge difference and I am so grateful for her. I am also grateful for Sabrina, Isaiah, and Paul for all of the amazing work they have done with my other daughter in her group classes. This place is awesome! My kids have been attending rec center swim lessons for the last two years and got no where. In 2 months my daughter has almost advanced to another level and my son has progressed more than the last two years combined. I would highly recommend Paul! From my first call inquiring about costs/schedules and why AquaTots was the best, their General Manager, Emily, was so incredibly helpful! A total scam and lack of professionalism! My son has been stuck in level 6 for OVER EIGHT MONTHS, and they refuse to move him up. Two weeks ago, they promised he would be moved to level 7 the following week, but of course, that never happened. Today, we decided to leave because it’s clear they’re just stalling for no reason, and suddenly they can magically move him up next week! And on top of that, they still want to charge us for an extra month? This is not just unprofessional, it’s a blatant act of dishonesty. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone expecting transparency and seriousness.

I can’t use my makeup classes that I’ve already paid for unless I continue to pay for additional months. My family business got robbed so my income is cut off for the moment. I felt manipulated being told that “they can’t cancel” unless I pay for another month of lessons.

Once I told them to stop, the manager came to talk to the staff and both of them rolled their eyes. As a parent, I do not consent anyone abusing my kid. People should really look into dry drowning. This facility is not up to code. They don’t have the push bar door lock to protect kids from the heavy traffic right in front of their door and when my son ran outside the building and almost got hit by a car, the manager cancelled my kid’s lessons because it was my fault according to her. Staff is nice but the lessons are overpriced. I paid around $550/ month and the progress was very slow. I can honestly say that my son did not learn anything besides dunking his head underwater. I was so happy that the manager cancelled our lesson and she thankfully gave me a refund. I can’t help but feel sad for her because she lacks the ability to deal with the public and just by looking at her eyes and her face, you would know that she is constantly terrified of handling her position or maybe it’s just the way she looks. I am now at the Big Blue and we are loving it.

After almost 3 years of attending this swim school I finally pulled my last son out during the middle of class yesterday. I was done.

The baby and parent classes were always amazing. My children developed a love for water and always felt safe with me or their dad. When my eldest son first progressed into the next level he went into the water with his most favorite teacher Keri I think is how you spell her name. She was with him for over 7 or 8 months and he flourished with her and he learned almost all of his skills with her. He was about to move up to the next level until she moved. To this day she was the only one who ever updated his charts and stayed consistent with him.

Since then he his teachers would change almost every week, no one would ever update his skills and he had been in the same class for almost two years and no one ever moved him up they held him back.

The classes were always being cut short, teachers always picking up the students late.

Callie the manager is really a sweetheart, she did try to give my older son private lessons for a few months to see if she could get him to a better place but by then so many of the other teachers had already traumatized him in the water and had undone all of the hard work me, his dad and Keri had done; he was extremely confident in the water at first so it was very sad to see that dwindle away over the year being at this school. so unfortunately i think it was just too late.

We thought about keeping my youngest son in the swim school despite our frustrations with our oldest son but as our son was crying trying to adjust to being in the group class. I saw how frustrated the teacher was. Then another parent went to the girl working the front parent saying how she felt bad for my son which she proceeded to tell her, "oh yeah thats just Phineas you know" and proceeded to laugh and mock him. The mockery of my son was enough for me. We have wasted enough time and money on this school. My kids have learned absolutely nothing. All they have gained is an absolute fear of the water.

What AMAZING staff!!! How often do you meet an entire team of people who are all consistently friendly and sweet and kind and helpful?! I drive out of my way to bring the kids here. It is so worth it! The core values of the company are inclusive and respectful. It’s about lifting each other up and learning as we go. Kids learn more than just survival and swimming skills here. They learn what healthy teaching is, working together as a team, and working with each other’s weaknesses and strengths, to reach the end goal. There’s no judgment. Everyone helps each other out. I wish regular schools were able to be as wonderful as Aquatots Midvale is!

Don't transfer from another swim school if your kids know how to swim. We did a free trial lesson. They put my kids who have vastly different swim skills in the same class. My oldest swims laps. The younger one swims independently for 15-20 feet at a time. They had them practicing putting their faces in the water. They did not assess their existing skills at all and then recommended both kids stay in this class where none of the kids are actually swimming. They spent some time to ask me a bunch of questions about where they are at with swimming but then they wanted us to start in a beginner level. Ridiculous waste of time but at least we didn't have to pay for it. Signing up there would be a huge waste of time and money.

There is also NO personal space on the bench for the kids. They have 4 kids crammed into a tiny corner. There is also no lifeguard.

Facility seemed clean but one of the bathrooms did not even have a soap dispenser. If it's broken they should at least put some sort of soap in there for people to wash their hands.

The facility isn't my favorite but I'm seriously considering switching my 12 month old to this school because the the swim class here is significantly better with smaller class sizes. Also we travel a lot as well and this place has the best schedule policy of all the swim schools hands down. I had tried a lot of different classes before choosing the place we are currently taking classes and didn't make it to Aqua-tots because I was so grossed out/disappointed from the other places that when I got to the school we go to now and saw how clean it was I didn't even care if the classes were gonna be amazing. UPDATE: We switched. I already miss our old facility. On one occasion this facility has smelt bad which understandably is going to happen when you're dealing with unpotty trained children but it's still mortifying(like take out the trash🤢). I miss our old facility's extras but after much debate we decided swim class quality was our priority especially considering we know people who have personally been affected by infant death by drowning and the make up policy can't be beaten.

I am so grateful for the entire staff here at aquatots. In only a few months my 5 year old daughter has gone from TERRIFIED of the water to being excited to get in the pool and show off her new skills. This has been HUGE for my girl. Coach Kayla has been absolutely amazing. I could hear my daughter screaming because she was scared and Kayla has been so kind and patient and was able to talk her through it. The entire staff has been there for her and countless other coaches helped as well. No joke, when my daughter talks about all the jobs she's going to have when she grows up, swim coach is one of them she talks about often. August is one of my daughters favorite human beings and I just can't say enough how amazing the entire staff and this whole experience has been. Took my friends son there who is scared of any water and Coach Alex was a huge help I couldn’t see anything but smiles and laughter. He even went under the water. The facility is fun, always clean, plenty of rooms for changing, & I love the red chairs where I can sit & watch my daughter. ALL of the staff have been awesome...very friendly & helpful. The swimming coaches have been so great with my daughter. I like that if you have to cancel a class that you can make it up at anytime without losing your money. My daughter is really enjoying her lessons & I can see her progress. I also really like that the classes are small. I'm so glad I found you guys! Keep up the good work!

My almost 3 year old daughter and I love this place. She’s a very spirited child and the coaches are always super patient. My daughter looks forward to going to swimming and loves her coaches Bri and Karsynn. Not only does my daughter have a lot of fun, she’s actually learning to swim! The progress she’s made in the time she’s been going to aqua tots is pretty impressive. They have many different time slots for classes and a lenient cancel or rescheduling process which is great when you have a toddler.

We love how much our 2yo loves coming to swim class! She has had a few teachers, all of whom have been amazing to her. She’s mostly learned from Bri and Jo who have been patient and gentle but very fun and engaging. The place is always clean and the vibe is always really friendly and positive from the staff, parents, and students. I highly recommend enrolling your kids here! It’s so fun to watch them learn. There aren’t many other places you can get your kid into a class before they turn 3, so Aqua Tots has been amazing for us.

My youngest son started in June. At first I was worried, he doesn’t socialize well, doesn’t talk a whole lot to people. My worries we’re for naught!! The progression of my daughter once we enrolled her in Aqua-Tots was nothing short of remarkable. Within 3 weeks of the first lesson my 4 year had ditched her floatie and started swimming all on her own, this would not have happened without these classes. Brie + Anne-Marie have been amazing in letting us know what she needed to work on what she was doing well to build on those skills. Looking forward to getting my son in the water soon. The facility is awesome and has be seamless since May when we first started. Our son Eli has been taking classes here for a year now. We started him at 18 months and it's amazing how good he is in the pool at 2 and half years old now. His coach Megan is awesome! Eli warmed right up to her! She is very hands on with the kids and takes the time to explain each lesson to the parents. There is another swim school right next to our house but we make the drive to Aqua-tots each week because of how great Megan is.

I really enjoy this place! Of all the places to do year round lessons in SLC (and I’ve tried several) this one provides the most time in the water, in the smallest group setting, for the best price.

I have seen all three of my kids (6, 4, and 2) progress both in their confidence around water AND their skill level. Which, at this age, is all you can ask for!

We also love Coach Jo! She is so thorough in her feedback after every lesson!

I cannot rave about Aqua-Tots enough! We put our 3 year old daughter Raven in a few months ago to learn how to swim, but also to help her with her anxiety. And it has done more for her than we could have imagined! The facility is nice, clean, and welcoming. But what keeps us is the amazing staff! With each interaction they have been so kind and patient. We spent 4 months at Aqua—Tots. The facility itself is very nice. Great pool and observation area for parents. Instructors are friendly and professional.

Our 3 kids (ages 8, 6, 2) attended an average of 2 times a week. Initially we liked what we saw. Over time though our boys were not progressing. Each lesson started with the same “bobbing” up and down in the water. Then a little floating. Then maybe 10 minutes of actually swimming. Because the depth of the pool is only 3’6” the older boys would simply stand up when they felt challenged. When we went to the community pool it and attempted to actually swim it was obvious that Aqua-Tots hadn’t done much. After spending a great deal of money we decided to look elsewhere-perhaps a swim school where the kids would actually swim.

I think this school is good initial exposure for younger kids. Our 2 year old probably benefitted the most. The older boys, however, did not progress much at all.

This place is the best! This location is roughly new (1+ year). However, I have been bringing my girls (3 and 1) to this location since November/2020. They are WONDERFUL. We're moving and I'm so sad I can't bring them with us. The instructors are so patient and really do everything they can to maintain a safe and fun environment for the kiddos. They give feedback after each class and will take the time to go over your child's progress if you ask. Worth every penny. I will miss them very much!

Love the swim lessons! Our one-year-old has a blast every time and most importantly learning valuable swim skills.
I'm also impressed that Aqua-Tots is taking Covid seriously and still requiring masks. As someone who has family members vulnerable to the virus I am glad that everyone wears a mask.

I give 5 stars to the coaches my daughters have had but the place as a whole I certainly cannot say the same about. Their GM pushes the mask mandate so hard (especially since it has been lifted in UT). If your mask even thinks about falling below your nose you are hounded until it is corrected. Even if you are in the pool with your kids, they will tell you to lift up your mask. As far as I'm concerned those face shields do absolutely nothing to protect from anything that may escape your mouth. We are leaving until they lift their mask mandate and take off those ridiculous face shields, they do nothing.

We love AquaTots Midvale. We had our kids (4 & 2 yrs) in swim lessons at a different place for months. They weren't progressing, most notably refusing to submerge their heads in the water. But after switching to AquaTots within two weeks our kids were jumping in from the edge of the pool, fully submerging heads, and were excited & happy about it. The staff are great & provide parents with personalized feedback after each lesson. Another thing that never happened at our first place. We're very comfortable, confident, & happy about our decision to switch to AquaTots.

I just want to put in a good word for Aquatots in Midvale! I have loved taking my son here. We started coming when he was almost 1, and we have had such a great time! The facility is clean, the coach (Michaun) is amazing, and his swim skills have progressed so much! I checked out another swim school in Utah, and while it was fine, Aquatots is honestly the gold standard. If you're considering it, I definitely recommend you give it a try!
