I had a very disappointing experience at this preschool.
My 3-year-old had no real issues when he started. The only thing the teacher (Miss Sami) or an assistant ever mentioned in the beginning was difficulty sitting — which is completely normal for a 3-year-old, and he always managed to sit after some time.
One day at pickup, I noticed a red mark under his lip and calmly asked about it. No one knew how it happened. I didn’t accuse anyone of anything. When I left, I even said, “Oh, he must have scratched his face,” and just dropped it. A harmless question turned into a blaming game and retaliation toward us.
For days, nothing was mentioned at pickup.
Then 5 days later, they called me. On the phone, they said 5 days a week was “too much for my son” and wanted to reduce his days to 3.
They also listed new “behavior problems” that had never been mentioned before “the question,” claiming he threw blocks and screamed — behavior he only shows when he’s truly upset (so why was he upset hein??).
There were zero complaints about his behavior until after I asked about the red mark under his lip.
So I agreed to reduce his days, thinking they were genuinely concerned, but it became clear they were slowly pushing him out, piling up behavior complaints out of nowhere.
The very next day at pickup, one assistant said he was “using his hands too much.” That was the last drop that made me realize they were playing games with me and that this blaming pattern would never stop — it had already become toxic for my child to be around that teacher and the assistants.
Children react to their environment, and if the teachers were holding resentment, kids feel it instantly. I could tell the whole class staff upon pick up were in a foul mood after my simple question.
The teacher and assistants showed zero emotional intelligence, projected their angry moods onto my child, and then blamed him for reacting.
I removed my son immediately!
Parents who ask questions should not be met with retaliation. This could happen to you too, so beware!

The Montessori program completely transformed our 4-year-old. He gained so much confidence, independence, and academic readiness — we truly feel like he’s more than prepared to start kindergarten this year, and it’s all thanks to the loving, intentional foundation he received there.
Our daughter is on the Team Gymnastics program, and we are blown away by how much she has grown. The coaches don’t just focus on leveling up — they truly care about the whole child and are building a rock-solid foundation for her gymnastics career. She’s thriving both physically and emotionally, and we owe so much of that to the incredible coaching team.
Working with Bare Foot over the last year has been one of the greatest blessings. Caleb and Ashley, the owners, are two of the kindest, most down-to-earth, and honest people you’ll ever meet. Their hearts are huge, and it’s clear they pour love into everything they do.
The Ninja coaches, Beck and Marcus, are amazing with the boys — they lead with strength, patience, and grace, and make every class something our kids look forward to. And Lindsey, the rec director, always goes above and beyond to make sure every child feels seen, supported, and loved.
We feel incredibly lucky to be part of the Bare Foot family. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a positive, nurturing place for their kids to grow!

Coach Marcus and Ashley are the best with the kids and we honestly had a great experience with their toddler parent class.
I was told at the beginning of the class that we could do a make up day if we couldn’t make one of them, so when the gym itself had to reschedule a class day that we couldn’t make I thought they would allow us to have a make up day for that specific class. I was told because it’s the last day of this class cycle I would just have to miss it… it was very unclear that you have to let them know in advance and that you would have to do the make up day with one of their current ongoing classes. We signed up for a specific class because it’s the only time we can make, I don’t think it’s fair to reschedule a class and not offer a make up when the parent/child can not make the other times. I just feel like the information online and what I’m being told by the front desk was contradictory. It’s just a toddler class, the least you can do is honor a make up. Not all staff is as kind as the couches we had.

My son attended barefoot for a year and half. He started last summer school (to test the waters) then pre- school this year. Can I just say barefoot is fantastic! My son excelled so much in the last year. Ms Christine is such a great teacher. She is so kind, patient and just loves all the kids! Honestly the entire staff is just absolutely wonderful! My son will be attending a new school next year and I feel he is totally prepared thanks to Barefoot Montessori. If your kids are in pre- school, or kindergarten I highly recommend this place! Honestly we will miss them all so much! This school doesn't miss a beat down to each detail... even graduation day! I even cried the program was so beautifully thought out! Im so appreciative to my neighbors for recommending this school.
We will miss you Barefoot! Thank you for everything!

We attended the ninja and gymnastic class here. My son is 3 years old and the gymnastics class is a complete joke. They let the 3/4 year olds run in and out of the class with no teacher or parent. The 3/4 year olds are allowed to go to the bathroom alone, go to the front and get water, and allowed to roam free with no supervision. I complained to the front desk several times and was told that there’s only 1 teacher so they allow the kids to come and go. While I was there several children got hurt and couldn’t open bathroom door since there was no adult with them. Also, 75% of the gymnastic class my son and other children were sitting on the mat. I also went to front desk about this and they put my son in another class. Well the next teacher did the exact same thing. They spend 3/5 minutes a kid while they take them through the obstacle course while the other 4/5 children are suppose to just sit. I pulled my son out of gymnastics and we tried the ninja class. The toddler gymnastic teachers are also mostly young and not equipped to handle younger children. The ninja class has a bathroom inside so the kids weren’t running in and out unsupervised. They have young boys maybe 18-20 running the ninja classes and they don’t know how to deal with small children either. Most of the time my son was siting or standing and doing nothing. But when the class is over they don’t make sure your child is with a parent. They just open one of the two doors and let all the kids go. It is very tight inside and only 7 seats. There’s not much room to stand either. I wouldn’t waste my money at this gym if you have a toddler. We ended up leaving this gym and started attending MyGym. It was the best decision we made. The teachers are great and know all the kids by name.
Response:
Well first off I didn’t know she was a minor, so I will blur her face and that wasn’t my intention of posting pictures of your employees. I was posting pictures of my son.
That’s exactly the point I had in my review is that teenagers with no experience are running these classes. I also, went to the front desk at least 3/4 times with my complaints and nothing was done. I stayed for 2 months hoping things would get better and it didn’t. When I went to the front desk the same blonde woman who said, she was a manager took my complaints. So maybe you need to talk to your employees more. I wasn’t the only parent having these complaints.

Quality programs for both gymnastics and the Montessori school. Love love love the teachers and coaches. Both have been so helpful for my daughters development and growth mentally, socially, and emotionally. I love the Montessori method and this preschool is a true Montessori preschool at an affordable cost. I cannot say enough positive things about them!

Disappointed with Barefoot Gymnastics’ Lack of Support for My Son. NOT for hispanic population!
I enrolled my son, who just turned three, at Barefoot Gymnastics with the hope that this would be his first real interaction with kids his age. He has a lot of energy, a slight speech delay, and primarily speaks Spanish at home, though he understands some English. This was supposed to be a positive start to his journey in a structured environment before transitioning to pre-K. Unfortunately, Barefoot Gymnastics couldn’t seem to handle it.
After only two sessions (just three hours in total), they told us he should try again in six months, which was incredibly disappointing. I reached out to the owner by email, explaining that my son was not used to a structured environment and that his experience so far had mostly involved outdoor play and time with family. I also offered to pick him up early as a possible solution to help him adjust. However, it took a week to get a response, and by that time, we had already signed him up at a different gym, where he has been thriving for three months now!
What’s more frustrating is that we had him evaluated at Snow Canyon and were told that he is perfectly fine and doing well. He’s now enrolled in their program and enjoying it. As a fourth-year medical student and my wife being a nurse, professionalism and communication are crucial to us, and Barefoot Gymnastics missed the mark. They need to improve how they work with parents and better understand that not every child is the same or meets every milestone on a strict timeline. Kids deserve the time and patience to grow. For the price they charge, the experience was deeply disappointing.
PARA LOS PAPAS LATINOS: Háganse un favor y busquen otro lugar donde entiendan a nuestros hijos y nuestra cultura. Es muy decepcionante que no nos den el apoyo que necesitamos en un lugar así.

We have been going to this gym for the last year and have been gracious and so amazing to work with. The first six months were rocky with our little due to her slight physical disability but the owners and directors worked hard with me to find a way to help with our little. Our little has started to gain more confidence in her own body finally in four years and we are finally able to push her to help her grow. Thank you for listening and your genuine interest in your students!

Once upon a time, a banner went up announcing the coming of Barefoot Gymnastics. Our daughter quickly told us that soon, Barefoot would be her 2nd home. It was, and soon after, Jamie was invited to try out for the first Barefoot competition team. That was the beginning of Barefoot and our little Buff-N-Stuff. Very happy to hear they are still turning out happy gymnasts. Now Buff-N-Stuff's mini 👼will have a chance to learn hard work and team work too. ♥️

My daughter loves it here and all of her teachers. She has had bad experiences with past daycares so I was nervous about sending her to preschool but she has been doing great here and I can tell she’s learning a lot! she’s already starting to sound out letters in simple words and seems to know a new song every other week. She also attends gymnastics here in the evenings and looks forward to that.

My daughter loves her tumbling coach and we’ve loved it here until today. When she started I was asked if I would prefer to pay for her class each week or put a card on file. I told the gal I would prefer to pay each week. Last week there wasn’t anyone at the front desk, so I just left my form on the desk. It’s happened before and i was called for a phone payment. Today I got a text saying we hadn’t paid for last week (as there was no one at the desk). I texted back saying I could pay when I was in today, or pay over the phone. I was asked to call in because waiting an hour and a half for payment was apparently not going to cut it. After I gave my credit card info, the lady said the card was now saved to my account. WHAT?! That’s not the arrangement I had made and I did not authorize it. When I took my daughter in I tried talking to the new lady at the front desk. She was extremely rude and would talk over me anytime I started saying something. I actually had to ask her to allow me to finish a sentence. She argued with me about how I had things arranged and got snippy with me when I asked if the card was removed from my daughters account. She told me it was not saved. Funny how I received an email saying that it was saved, just wouldn’t be used for recurring payments just minutes after I was assured that it was NOT saved. There’s not much I like less than being lied to. I almost walked out with my daughter. If she didn’t love her coach so much, I would have. I will be looking for another option, though.

Gymnastics with Barefoot has been a great experience for us. My son is autistic and needs additional support, and the coaches have all been so great at helping him. They are patient with redirecting him and finding ways to modify activities so he can participate to the best of his abilities. He feels loved here, he's gained confidence here, and the progress he's made has carried over to every other part of his life. Highly recommend to anyone!

One of my favorite places to have a Birthday Party. Why, you might ask??? They take care of it all!!! Their instructors entertain, while you get to enjoy and take pictures. They play games, jump in the pit, and even bring out the parachute. My daughter had a blast with her Preschool class. My favorite part... You have the place to yourself. You don't have to stress about crowds!

My daughter loved going to school and having gymnastics during school time. Miss Sarah was her teacher and we just loved her. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts is because we didn’t appreciate the way they handled schooling when COVID hit. They opened up way before any other school and didn’t care to get parents opinions on how to go about it-and were rude when we unenrolled because of it.

We have attended Barefoot Momtessori for about a year and I am in awe of the beauty in learning and compassion that takes place in my son’s classroom. Grateful for finding this incredible school and finding this passionate team of teachers assisting in the evolution of growing minds. I wish there were more than five stars to give. I cannot be more pleased. Thank you Barefoot.

I wanted to love this gym. Our daughter went through mommy and me there then transferred up to the young solo class when she turned 3. The owner is amazing and we had an overall good experience with the parent tot. My daughter was excelling at it and loved class. When we switched over the first day of being in there alone was great. The next week it all went to hell. The coach skipped her through both obstacle courses (about 30 min of a 45 min class) because she wasn’t sitting criss cross apple sauce perfectly. If you can imagine with a very very high energy 3 year old that has only ever been required to do that for 30 sec at a time in the parent tot classes this didn’t go well. By the end she was in full blown hysterics. From that day on the coach treated her horribly. The kicker is the coach (who had her for 6 months in parent tot) literally was calling my daughter by the wrong name that entire class and the next one then blaming her for not listening. It was so bad my daughter stopped wanting to go to class. She went from going across the high beam kicking her feet out solo to not wanting to even participate and refusing to do something as simple as a forward roll (which she had been jumping into before with perfect form). I can’t even explain on here how bad it was. Complete mental abuse on the part of the coach. We switched to another coach and that was going great, but then she couldn’t do mornings and they put the old coach back over her!!! It was horrible all over again. We switched gyms and will never look back. Since then I have found out about four other families with similar experiences. I reported the problems multiple times and nothing was done. Because of this we will not be doing any lessons there ever. If they would just take parents complaints seriously and remove coaches that are not being professional they would be amazing.

I can not say enough great things about Montessori Preschool and Gymnastics! My son absolutely excelled this year learning from his all-star preschool teachers. I couldn't believe how much he learned-- counting to 100, writing and knowing the sounds to all the letters, sign language, dozens and dozens of songs about our solar system, holidays, colors, hygiene...
I highly, highly, highly recommend this school to parents who want their children to get the best start and foundation for learning! I wish I had known about this school when my daughter was this age. A++++++

We moved our 10th grader /15 year old girl (Level 9) from another gym having heard positive comments from variety of coaches, gymnasts after 10 years with another gym. Her coaches (Caleb & Megan) have been so good. She has learned new technique, drills, conditioning fees like she is progressing again. She has older advanced gymnasts (Level 10) to push her, very experienced coaches w/ college coaching experience fixing long-overdue technique flaws who instruct how to correct rather than merely pointing out flaws, access to equipment other gym did not have, and way more time practicing instead of standing in line in an over-crowded gym. Wishing she had moved over sooner knowing what she knows now.
