Summer Camp:
WAY overpriced, not what you think it will be. It’s advertised to make you believe your kids will be learning how to do a somersault or walk the balance beam, but nope. You will pay several hundred dollars for them to play with play dough and paint. They do get to run an obstacle course for a few minutes in the gym, but this is definitely not the way to let them test drive a new skill. My kids had fun, the staff seem very nice. However, this was basically daycare, just much more expensive.

We love this pre school school (Right Start) so much. It gives the balance to learn and to play. Our kids are graduating from preK this May and they all did great at the elementary assessment. We had our son in after school camp here. It’s not what you expect. It’s literally just daycare. No activities, we thought maybe they would get ti do fun things. But that’s not the case. It’s expensive, hard to park, and they charge even when they take holidays off. It’s really just not worth it.

Horrible business. There is no way to get anyone on the phone. I left multiple voicemails without a response. Their policies for withdrawal of a student are implemented in a way to make it as difficult as possible to stop the auto payments. Our child hasn't attended in months and we've called trying to get information on withdrawing them. I would never trust this company and am considering filing a complaint with the FTC.

My daughter has been attending this facility for 2 and half years now. She came to this gym with basic Xcel silver skills, feeling frustrated and behind. She was able to progress in a short amount of time and move to their Optional program. We loved watching her growth and amount of support she has received so far.
This gym provides a safe environment for girls to train and focus on their emotional well being, too. My daughter loves her coaches and teammates, and this place truly feels like second home. She's happy, thriving, and excited to show up for practice!

This is the best gymnastics gym that we have been to. The coaches really care about the athletes. There is a family atmosphere at black diamond. The coaches are quick to recognize athletes that need to move up to the next level. At the same time, they will not push an athlete to the next level until they are ready with all of the necessary skills. Black Diamond is truly the best around!

We don't go here, but my daughter does gymnastics and we talked to them about their program since she has a friend here that loves it. The team coach was very honest and open about where she is at and the best places for gymnastics in the valley for her needs. Super greatful for the time she spent talking with me even though we don't go there and the feedback may not be what all parents want to hear. She gave me some really good feedback and was very professional. I would definitely consider taking my daughter here in the future.

The girls gymnastic program seems to be very popular. We were not enrolled in that. We took one of the ninja classes. From what we experienced these are an afterthought or just a pursuit for more money. The teacher changed on about a weekly basis. So, the consistency of instruction was poor. Classes were canceled for holidays or for meets. Since it is a sort of subscription model you pay the same not matter how many classes are held. If they cancel on you then you can choose to makeup the class on a different day. So, sorry your Friday afternoon class gets canceled, but now you get to come on another day. If I wanted to come on another day I would have signed up for another day. There are more affordable and better run programs in the area. Go elsewhere.

Disorganized and unprofessional. They won’t tell you: 1) You’ll pay for holidays and holiday weeks, but you won’t receive classes and there are no make-ups. 2) They can cancel classes anytime, and it’s up to you to find a make-up class within 30 days. 3) Ninja and Urban classes are low-priority; your ninjas will be “stretching” for ten minutes when the equipment is full. 4) There are no make-ups for sick days, irresponsible in a pandemic? I tried to ask why none of this was disclosed up-front, but I was told that no-one else was complaining (really? Read the reviews), and that as a business, they don’t have to tell me everything. Yet it would be a simple, honest thing to put these policies in the paperwork. Do not recommend.

I have nothing good to say about this business! Sorry to those that have had better experiences but mine has been terrible.
-In less than a year my son’s class has had at least 4 different instructors. The last one yelled at them and told them to go do something they already knew how to do and ended class 15 minutes early. Instruction is poor!!
- pricy, for how much they charge for a class you would hope to be getting better instruction.
-they never answer their phones
-the voice mail is always full and if it wasn’t by some chance and I could leave a message I never got called back.
-the drop off and pick up is a mess and completely disorganized.

Black Diamond is the best gym and we are so happy to have found it. The building is clean, the teachers are wonderful, and the staff are all kind and helpful. I was looking for a toddler tumbling class and Black Diamond offers not only the longest class but the cheapest cost. We also do their ninja class which is crazy good priced and both of my kids are so happy here! 10/10 recommend.

My son does the ninja class for the 4-6 years old and they are so great with kids. The teach Joe is amazing and he make sure the kids get it and spend time with everyone. The front desk ladies always go above and beyond to make sure the kids are safe and they are so good with the covid regulations. We feel safe coming here and will continue to come. Best place ever!

I have been coming here all year and they are very unprofessional and unorganized. The main lady at the front desk is so rude that I just can’t get past it. Every time I have to deal with her it’s very unpleasant. They also do not work with you to get your kids in at the same time and the schedule really makes no since. There are no times where my kids that are 2 years apart to go at the same time (not that the classes are full) there just isn’t those classes at the same time. It’s very inconvenient for parents, when I asked if I could move my daughter to a class that she was a month away from being old enough for so they could go together they said no, and so I asked to hold the spot and they said they won’t do that. It’s very unfortunate that they can’t work with their customers and that the front desk lady is so rude about it.

My daughter always has a blast here! It’s a huge gym with knowledgeable instructors. My only complaint is the glass in which to see the kids during their class. I think it was installed backwards. It produces a glare for the parents. It should be where the kids can’t see us to get distracted but we can look in on them just fine. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place.

My daughter came to Black Diamond last August after five years of dance wanting to try something new. She started in their rec program and quickly progressed to pre team. After 9 months of hard work and training she was skilled and confident enough to try out for and make the competitive team! Where to begin?? My sweet son was so excited to enroll in the ninja class. He started out in the youngest class and loved it. Well.. one day we got to the gym to see a sign on the front door saying his class was cancelled, no warning, no anything. All his classmates and parents were confused and went home. Well..my husband went inside to see what was going on. Apparently there was a performance for ALL classes, including my son’s class! When my husband asked why did they say class was cancelled and no heads up about our kids supposedly in a performance?? They said “class is cancelled so the kids can perform in the performance.” Okay.. fair enough. EXCEPT one tiny detail. NO ONE in the class knew about this performance, not even the parents. Hence why all the kids and parents left from my sons class. None of them knew either! Luckily, my husband went in to ask what was going on because if he didn’t, my son wouldn’t be able to participate in the performance. He loved it and got a medal. But how horrible that we could have missed that. And how sad that all his classmates missed it! When we complained after about their lack of communication they literally shrugged their shoulders and said they had flyers. So we looks at the “flyers” (that were tiny) and said “We never were given one.” To which they said “It is your obligation to check the desk every time.” Ummm so is that how this facility works? Complete lack of communication with parents who pay for an over price class? My heavens. THEN when my son advanced to the older ninja class he stopped enjoying it. Why? Because all they did was jump into the pit. I think they did the bars and rope maybe twice in the several months we were there. The coaches didn’t coach these boys. They didn’t do anything but ignore them. My sweet tender hearted boy was ignored by the coaches and he would leave looking so sad. We finally pulled him and out $78/month. I will say this.. their facility is clean. So yay for that. But it’s time to pull yourselves together and find some proper communication AND kindness and tell your coaches to actually coach these kids! Oh heavens I could go on with what happened when we tried to cancel our sons class but I will spare you. Let’s just say this place cares more about money than anything else. So many issues here. So many.

A few years ago I would attend Black Diamond for urban gymnastics (pretty much parkour) and my experience was less that adequate. It was a pretty expensive class to do and half the time we wouldn’t be able to do an activity because another class already was. The coach I started out with was very good at instructing us and I learned from him well. All 6 coaches I had afterwards were awful. The coach I had for the longest time didn’t do good at his job and even made my brother cry. I wouldn’t recommend Black Diamond to anyone. It was a waste of money and time. The atmosphere of the whole building was just money-grabbing and scammy. Still wouldn’t recommend.

I don't recommend this place. The only star I gave is for cleaninness in comparison to other gymnastic studios I checked out. The staff, coaches, office personnel are not professional. They have a entitlement attitude that really does not reflect good values. I'm glad my daughter chose to try a different sport so we no longer go there. My girl's love her and she loves all of her students, you can tell by the way she teaches and helps them.(and hugs them when they get hurt) Black Diamond is pricey but the location os great and it is a nice gym.

My daughter went here for about a year and I was disappointed from the beginning. I didn't get any sort of orientation or thorough explanation of what to expect, how my daughter could advance, etc. I have no knowledge of gymnastics at all and so was walking in like a deer in the headlights. I've noticed they definitely have their favorite gymnasts and basically ignore the rest of us. The staff are not very warm/outgoing. They always just made eye contact with me and then looked away. It would be nice to feel like they were glad to see me, considering how much I paid. We had to transfer from Epic Gymnastics due to moving, but now I'm not concerned about a longer drive. I'd rather feel like we belong!

First, I think this gym is too overpriced for what the girls get in return. Unless your child is in the competitive levels they really don't care at all if you child excels or masters much. They are all about the money . They have so many things going on at the same time that I am not sure how they keep track of anything except the money being brought through the front door. If you are looking for quality I'd do research on the other gymnastics facilities in the valley, and skip this one all together. it really isn't worth it. My daughter was in classes for years at Black Diamond and they really wasted her time and my money, she is at another gym and is totally exceling at everything. My husband and I love the Right Start Program at Black Diamond Gym in South Jordan. My 7 year old attended their preschool program 2 years ago and my 5 year old has been going there for 2 years. Both my boys have amazing confidence because of all the tricks and agility training they learn in their gym classes. My son who is currently in their preschool is already reading and adding and subtracting. The staff is amazing!!!! They greet the parents and children every morning with much excitement. I find the facility to be very safe and parents have to sign their child in and out every day for security reasons. The facility is very clean! I feel so fortunate that my children have had the opportunity experience such a wonderful preschool.
