I joined BFT about four months ago looking for a way to stay motivated and consistent with my workouts. What I’ve found here is so much more than just a gym - it’s a community. From the very first class, the coaches welcomed me with smiles, encouraged me to push myself, and even checked in when I wasn’t there. That kind of accountability and care is rare, and it’s made all the difference for me.
Lauren, the head coach, has been absolutely instrumental in my fitness journey with her high energy and contagious positivity. Cat and Jai have helped me push past limits I never thought I could, especially with lifting heavier weights that I never would’ve tried on my own. The progressive overload format has been a game changer - week by week I’ve seen my strength increase, my muscles tone, and yes, my butt finally fills out my jeans and shorts instead of disappearing when I turn to the side!
The best part is that the results showed up quickly. Just a month in, people in my life started noticing the changes. I constantly get asked if I’m a runner, what sports I play, and how I got so fit. That’s an incredible feeling.
The variety of classes keeps things fresh and fun, and there’s something special about being sore in the same spots as everyone else a day or two later - we’re all in this together. The owners are also right there working out with us, encouraging the community, and hosting events that go beyond fitness to improve our overall quality of life.
And the value is truly unmatched. It feels like having a personal trainer every session, but in a group setting that’s not only more affordable but way more fun.
BFT has given me a place I actually look forward to showing up to, where I’m challenged, supported, and celebrated. It’s transformed not just my fitness, but my confidence too.

This is the best gym you can find in the Sandy area. Lauren the trainer is amazing. She’s attentive and she has helped me with my health goals. Anyone that wants support and wants to get healthy this is the gym to go. Such a great community.

I’ve been a member at BFT Sandy for about four months now, and I’m so glad I made the move here from the Honolulu location. From day one, the team made me feel welcome and right at home—I didn’t miss a beat in my training. All the coaches have been incredible, especially Cat and Lauren, who’ve been supportive, encouraging, and always ready with the right push, even on the days I just wanted to quit. This gym in particular is special to Salt Lake City for so many reasons. The owners here so kind and welcoming and the coaches here are absolutely some of the best people around! They truly go above and beyond for their members. They guide you through each workout and are right there to spot you and hype you up every step of the way. Making sure you get the most efficient workout, helping you actually progress! These coaches care about their members and get to know each and every person in the room. Each one of these coaches has made me feel cared for, have taken the time to answer any questions and give helpful advice along the way. Lauren is one of my favorite people and is always so positive and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. she’s held me accountable and helped me push my goals, blocked the door so I can’t run out of cardio days mid class ever again😂 been my therapist when needed, been a friend and been the best coach! You can feel the love and positivity radiate throughout these classes between everybody in the room, members and staff! Everyone is there to support another, always there to help rack weights, always having a smile on their face. The energy is contagious! I genuinely look forward to coming to this gym and always feel so good leaving here. Thank you BFT family for all you do!! ❤️

I’ve been at BFT for almost two months and after dealing with an injury they have been the best thing for keeping me moving but not injuring further.
Every coach has been 10/10. With shoutouts to Kat, Lauren, Toni, Maca, Jenny, and Bryson. They each offer something different but consistent and most importantly safe training.

I can't recommend BFT enough! The staff is absolutely wonderful, but a special shout-out has to go to the head coach, Lauren. She is always on it, seamlessly knowing whether to give you that extra push or to offer a small correction that makes all the difference. I’ve been a member at BFT for almost a year now, and joining has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my fitness. I was getting bored of working out at home and didn’t love the typical gym environment, so I decided to give BFT a try. It’s been a game-changer.
This was my first time doing class-based workouts, and I honestly don’t see myself going back to solo-led workouts anytime soon. The trainer-led classes keep me motivated, and the support from the team makes all the difference. Cat, who I work with most often, has been incredible — always encouraging, positive, and focused on helping me get better. Lauren, who leads the gym, also does an amazing job keeping everything running smoothly and maintaining a welcoming environment.
What really stands out is how upbeat and high-energy the trainers are. Even on days when I walk in not feeling my best, I almost always leave in a better mood. The workouts themselves have helped me feel stronger and healthier overall.
If you're looking for something different from the typical gym grind, BFT is worth checking out.

BFT Sandy has been great. I had been doing Crossfit for 10 + years until a shoulder injury (torn labrum and rotator cuff) prevented me from continuing after two years of working out on my own and recovering from surgery BFT has been a great fit with the combination of cardio and lifting. The trainers Maca and Toni have been awesome with teaching technique along with giving motivation during the workouts and also still letting me power clean and adjust workouts because of my shoulder.

As someone who’s been mostly sedentary for a long time, I knew I needed to get my fitness back on track. I found BFT thru my sister who loves it.
I’ve been going for over a month and I’m highly motivated to continue! I’ve taken classes from a few different trainers and everyone’s knowledge and energy are awesome! The group of people who show up to work out are at all fitness levels from pretty fit to just starting out like me and I love that. I took a balance class from Macca and I highly recommend it! Reminded me to focus on being able to balance and controlling my form thru each exercise and not solely on upping my weight. It doesn’t seem like it would be challenging but it totally was.
It’s pricey but imo worth it since that’s also the reason I go to as many classes as I can. You also get a very supportive community and an opportunity to workout with all kinds of weights, different machines as well as do cardio! I’m still sore after workouts but my recovery is definitely getting better!

Amy and I have been coming to BFT since November of 2023. BFT has provided us with the training to get in some of the best shape of our lives. A huge part of our growth has been coach Lauren. I have been working out at this gym for about 6 months now. From day 1 to now I have always felt welcome and part of a special community. I have not only pushed myself further physically (hello Spartan Deka and HYROX) but mentally as well. The members are always so welcoming and friendly. The trainers all have their different flavors, in a good way, that help further/enhance the workout. I have a special bond with Coach Maca, as we previously worked out together at a different gym and now I have the privilege of being coached by her. She brings such joy and energy to each class, and if you are lucky you may catch her busting some dance moves during class :)

I love BFT! This is the first gym I’ve ever been to that is truly for everyBODY. While gyms can be intimidating in general, from my first day, I was welcomed and felt a sense of belonging. The classes are so efficient and effective whether it’s strength training or cardio. I love the challenge and balance of both. Over the past year I have been fortunate to work with the best coaches! I can’t say enough about all of them! Coach Maca has been the newest addition and I love her spunk and enthusiasm. She is so encouraging and her energy is contagious! Love this incredible workout community!! Other gyms make you feel like you’re back in high school again with all the clicks but not this place. The patrons are all amazing human beings and the trainers are incredible. Everyone helps you feel right at home. The trainers are constantly giving you great tips and advice on how to do proper form and help you get the most out of your workout. I love showing up and being told what to do and getting a fantastic workout while I’m at it. Go check it out for yourself and see what I mean.

I’ve finally found the gym! BFT is like a fitness family where everyone knows your name… and how many burpees you skipped. The trainers are top-notch—they actually take the time to show you the correct form.
The workouts are killer in the best way possible. Every session, I leave feeling like I conquered a small mountain The best part? It’s the friendliest, most welcoming gym I’ve been to. I am a BFT member down in Austin, Tx and have been traveling for work in UT! The BFT Sandy team graciously hosted me at their gym with wide open arms!

I can’t say enough great things about BFT Sandy. The coaches are all supportive and push me just enough to keep excelling. I consider myself unbelievably lucky that this place is so close to my house.
BFT and the trainers have genuinely healed what was once a broken relationship with working out.
The facilities are wonderful, the trainers top notch, and the workouts themselves are the perfect balance of challenging and engaging. I’ve completed over 60 classes since they opened back in October and every class is just so, so good. A little bit different every time, great balance between strength and cardio. I feel so much stronger already! I highly, highly recommend this place.

We were visiting from out of town for a ski trip. We were eager to find a yoga class and were fortunate to find this wonderful spot. It was just what we needed. The yoga instructor was excellent The environment is warm and welcoming, from start to finish. Very clean and well equipped for strength, cardio and lots of great classes.

I'm happy I stumbled upon this place! They are unique from other work-out places I've tried because they combine cardio with strength training. Great for beginners who don't know where to start as well as veterans who just want a good workout. They don't require a contract and only do month-to-month. They are body positive/inclusive, too, which is so important!

I have attended one class so far.
Pros: Great trainers (there were more than one trainer), the variety of movements, short intervals to make it easy to endure.

I did my first workout there last night and was very impressed! The coaches are really friendly and hands on and the variation of workout keeps things interesting. The equipment is new and in excellent condition and the facility is nice and clean. Fun and welcoming environment. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a group workout gym.

My first BFT workout is in the books and it was just what I needed! Lots of strength and weights and a good amount of cardio to really get the heart rate going. I like that there are also Strength specific classes. Though a class setting, the coaches do a great job guiding individuals through the exercises so no effort is wasted. Really like having this place as an option.

Went to my first session and this is EXACTLY the workout I've been looking for. As an ex-college athlete I wanted something reminisent of college training. The conditioning and real lifts. This class had it all and it is everything I have been wanting. I am so thrilled this opened!
