Most serious issue is the way some of the coaches talk to the girls across a few age groups. It's consistently negative and pretty awful. Not all, but there are some bad apples (3 major offenders just that I know of). If you talk to people whose kids play here...the response is "he used to be way, way worse"...which is kind of disturbing. Club V has been notified by many people of these repeat offenders over the years. Everyone is aware and nothing has been done.

In the end, they're kids who are there to learn, grow and have fun. Be good, be kind, teach good sportsmanship especially to your coaches - hold higher standards with them. It's so important. This club is not known for setting the example for these qualities in coaching.

Nice new facility. Great for tournaments. They provide a ton of healthy options on site all day long and aren’t restrictive of what food you can bring in like other facilities.

Could be a nice VB facility, but courts 4,5,7,8,9,10, and 11 are unfairly marked.
Those courts have nearly TWO FEET more court length on one side vs the other. I think Court 7 is the worst of all.

It's been this way for at least a couple years. Club V really needs to fix this. It's completely unfair for one team to have both a smaller court to defend and a larger court at which to hit.

Don't think this is true? Take a laser-measure (or measuring tape) next you go. When you do this, measure from the end line to the net (NOT from end line to center line - because the center line isn't under the net, where it should be).

Then, ask management to fix the obvious problem.

We've had our kids in the girls' basketball program for several years. Katie Harker is the program director. She is an incredible mentor, coach, and director. We think highly of her knowledge, skills, understanding, and leadership. I recommend Club V for a great girls' basketball experience.

Worst facility ever. During the tournament it was humid, crowded and I couldn't even hear the person next to me. I had a headache the whole time. The floors are cheap and uneven. And their is nowhere to sit.

Can we give negative stars? I wish I could give this place -10 stars. The facility is absolutely horrible. I call it the torture chamber. If you ever have to go and spend nine hours on a Saturday here, you will understand why. The parking is insane, ridiculous and horrible. It is so loud inside that it could classify as capital torture, you can’t even speak to the person sitting next to you, there’s way too much going on, a zillion whistles hour after hour, they pack so many people into such a small space, it stinks, and, it’s just so overstimulating to the brain that you leave and want to sleep for a week to detox yourself from the torture. So yeah, -10 stars.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I don’t ever want to come back to this club again. No parking, way too crowded, & the floors are crap. If you enjoy humid, stinky locker rooms
come here.

Salty Boys volleyball has been a terrible experience and I would not recommend them.

I never received the items that I paid for from the swag store. Had to dispute it with my credit card company. To also poor coaching and just an overall bad experience. Salty boys also was more expensive than other clubs and offered less tournaments. Not worth it.

I've traveled here from St. George many times to watch my kids play in tournaments. No matter where you go, you always pay, which is ridiculous when you pay thousands for your kids to play club. And the fee isn't for the weekend, it's every day they play you pay an entrance fee, even for kids. Parking is ridiculous when there is a tournament. Get there early for a spot that isn't down the road and don't leave, or you'll lose it. Super crowded, no space to walk, sit, stand. People will stand in the middle of the aisle and talk, blocking all others trying to get through. There is concessions, but I don't buy anything to contribute MORE to Club V on top of the daily entrance fee we pay every time we come here. It is a large facility with 12 courts... so there's that.

Yet another mediocre volleyball tournament hosted at Club V. Bathrooms disgusting, traffic blocked because parents are sitting in front of bleachers instead of on them. Couldn’t find the β€˜tournament director’ as was snootily clarified for me, ridiculous! Hot and humid in the gym, refs - well, like most cases - some were good and some were bad. Wish there were other AAU options locally.

Great place for a volleyball ball tournament. It is a large open space with over 12 courts. The seating could be better. The bleachers are hard to sit on. But we are facility is well kept with clean pleasant to being. The concession have good options.

It would be nice if you could put in a policy that if your team isn't playing then move off of the limited available seating so others can watch thier team play. I have noticed that the home club team parents are the ones that don't move. Also a space provided for teams to leave bags would be nice so they aren't all over the seating space and creeping into the court.

This is a great place for the volleyball tournaments we go to, but the parking is very limited and often times if you did not get there soon enough you will be hiking in pretty heavily. They have bleacher seats, but the bottom row is almost on the floor, so you will need to sit up a row at least. A lot of people will bring their own chairs, which is great, but when you are trying to record and such, because it is fairly tight, they will tend to walk in front of you. It gets full very quickly. They do have concessions available, mostly the traditional chips, drinks, snacks, and some microwave meals from Costco and the like. Nothing really fresh, and no fruits or veggies or anything. I wish they had two girl bathrooms mainly because the lines get a little ridiculous for my wife and daughters, so it is tough on them. Typically costs about $5 to get in and while there are two lines, keep in mind that only one line takes card, and they do not offer a Venmo or other online payment option like this.

If you're looking for a club for your child, this is the place! They genuinely love teaching and mentoring youth volleyball skills.

Nice facility with a lot of courts. Seating can be a little hard. Just make sure you come prepared to either sit on a bleacher, your own chair or stand and watch. It can get pretty loud in there and crowded. Parking isn't bad if you arrive early. Would be nice if there were two sets of bathrooms instead of just the one. They are upgrading the food choices and this will be the home of LOVB, the professional womens volleyball team here in Utah.

Great facility! We've watched our boys play lots of games here. Love the hardwood courts at the ends, much better than the click together stuff. Fun venue for tournaments for both basketball and volleyball. We've never been on a club V team, but we've had many games against them. They seem to always put competitive teams out there. I've appreciated that their sportsmanship in basketball seems to have improved quite a bit from some of our matchups with them a couple years ago.

Although Club V has a few good teams they are so mean to every club and make fun of anyone who doesn’t go there. Their gym is way bad, the floors get wet later in the day when they turn the AC on and you slip everywhere and it’s really dangerous. Every time I play a club v team whether they win or lose they are always so mean to the other team for no reason. Club v is only number 1 in the state because they have been around the longest or else it would be some other club.

The facility from a volleyball perfect would be fine with half the people that were there. The space was more than "packed", you could not, without effort, walk to or from courts. I lost count of people tripping in or on the ball stop nets. The bleachers were great if you were a third grader. I hope to NOT play there again.

Parking and seating are a struggle if you're coming for a big tournament. With 12 courts it gets crazy loud and sometimes hard to determine which whistle is for your court. Other than that the facilities are usually pretty clean but be sure and bring some ear plugs if you struggle with loud environments.

5 stars for the actual kids volleyball experience, the coaches, and the manager.
1 star for Covid safety at the facility at large. (this is based on my personal feeling of discomfort at the significant number of people not wearing masks over their nose and mouth the day I was there.)

On the Volleykids court all the children and coaches WERE wearing masks over their mouth and nose.

However, the space is one large enclosed gym, with +/- 20 courts in one open room, and MANY of the teen players, adult coaches, and spectators throughout the facility were NOT wearing masks (or were wearing them around their chins.) This was despite the multiple posted signs asking people to wear masks. When I asked Club V Volleykids owner/manager about this she said there was nothing she could do about the facility's compliance at large. I did not observe anyone asking those not wearing masks to do so (although Volleykids did enforce masks on their court.) It was crowded on the days I was there, so maintaining 6 feet of distance from other patrons was not practical. The hand sanitizer dispenser provided by the facility at the entrance to the gym was empty both days we attended events there (1 week apart.)

The facility owner told Volleykids to reassure me that the facility is meeting the CDC protocols for club sports. (Allegedly) he also said that competing athletes are not under the same requirements as other establishments.

My kids had a good time. This was their first experience with volleyball and the coaches were patient and organized. I think the manager brought in extra coaches to make sure there was a good ratio of adults to kids, which I appreciated. When I expressed concerns regarding covid the manager reached out to me and offered me a full refund.

We were really happy with the class, coaches, and manager. I just wish there'd been more transparency about the Covid standards at the facility. We plan on continuing with the class, despite the risks.

Club V Volleyball is housed in the Utah Athletic Center and is a great space & gym for sporting events. It also looks like a great space for training. They have many courts. 12 I believe. They have seating on both ends of each court for fans. Which, is better than other volleyball clubs in Utah. Each court is fenced off to help maintain play, which is very helpful. I noticed a decent sized weight room with people working out. There is also a nice concession stand with eating area. I have only come here to watch volleyball and have found that it is a very nice facility and makes for comfortable spectating.
