I was excited for this class for a long time, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! It’s fast-paced and packed with information, all delivered in a very organized and understandable way. The coaches are awesome; they truly care and genuinely love what they do!

While it’s two long days, they fly by! You will feel tired both mentally and physically, but you’ll leave better prepared and more confident in your shooting and situational awareness. If you’re considering this class, now is the time to take it. If you’ve taken it before, you should definitely take it again. I’m already scheduled for my second one!

I took the 2 day defensive handgun course and it was nothing short of life changing. I had some experience with guns but it was minimal. I definitely wasn’t very comfortable handling a handgun. This course taught me to handle the weapon with the reverence that it deserves while feeling confident that I can use it should I need to. It was very empowering and healing to experience this class. I feel like everyone, experienced and not experienced people should educate themselves with all the wisdom that this class has to offer!

I took the Fundamentals of Defensive Handgun training course and I can't say this enough-- it was worth every penny and hour of my time. I signed up after having a few scary incidences happen in public, and I was fearful every time I left the house without my husband (especially with my young kids in-tow). My confidence had dropped, and anxiety went out of control. I went into the class nervous to handle a gun in any way, never-mind conceal carry one. The coaches patiently worked with me, and it was clear they truly care about each student in the class. By the end of the class, I felt confident in my abilities to handle and shoot my gun, and I am now excited to practice shooting on my own, strengthen the areas I have troubles with, and see even more improvement each time. This class built my confidence in more ways than I can describe, and it changed my life. I just wish I had taken this class years ago. I recommend this class whether you are experienced with guns or a complete newbie. I am positive all the other courses are just as amazing because the instructors are incredible people with impressive shooting and gun handling skills. They are very skilled and knowledgeable about all things guns, so you will be in great hands.

The Fundamentals of Defensive Handgun class was excellent! It’s a very well rounded class focused on the essential elements of defensive firearms use within then challenging landscape of todays society.
Valuable topics such as mindset and situational awareness set a serious tone for the class. The personalities and interpersonal chemistry exhibited by the instructional staff made for a fun and engaging learning environment.
Our class began with the building blocks of handgun skill and developed into dynamic scenarios applicable to civilians. I was impressed with the information we received regarding the legal challenges associated with use of force and the opportunity to put them into practice during class.
This class is easily worth the price of admission and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in self protection.

I had a great experience taking the concealed carry permit class. I haven’t had much experience with guns so I was nervous to come to the class. Weston was super great at explaining everything and helped me feel more comfortable around guns. I’m super grateful I stepped out of my comfort zone and took this class. I can't say enough about how wonderful Concealed Carry Coaching and my instructor Weston Brandon have been. I started with very little knowledge and experience with handguns. Weston worked with me to gain my confidence in carrying and accuracy in shooting. He advised in me choosing the proper firearm and equipment that would work with my needs. I would highly recommend Weston because of his extensive knowledge of firearms and safety, and his coaching style. He is ways patient and understanding, never condescending or intimidating. I put together a concealed carry class to be taught, in home, by Wes at Defense Sense LLC. He took his time and answered any questions we had. His curriculum included some extra weapons training that is not originally included in concealed carry classes, that all participants seemed to appreciate.

Wes was also an instructor at a defensive handgun training class I took. He was able to tell me how to improve and practice at home to continue to improve after the class. Not to mention, watching him shoot is simply impressive. It's obvious he takes weapons training seriously. I will, without a doubt, be taking more of his training.

This was a great class. I learned a lot and enjoyed it. I am a pretty new shooter so this was a great foundation with instructors who know their stuff, were not at all intimidating for me as a new shooter, and teach solid principles and run good practice drills. As a woman I find it very empowering to have a firearm. But when I first bought it I didn’t really know how to use it so it stayed in a drawer. And what is the point of having a gun if you aren’t confident and effective enough with it to use it? Training is a must for me. This class was very helpful and I could tell I had improved a lot by the end! I definitely recommend this class.

I took the course with a very basic knowledge of handguns, but quickly learned that my knowledge was even more basic than I thought. The pace of the course was perfect- each concept was built upon the one previous to it. The instructors were patient, highly motivating, and extremely friendly. I loved the feeling of accomplishment at the end of the course, and am excited to take it again, to further my knowledge. I highly recommend this course to anyone, regardless of knowledge or experience with handguns. I want to give a recommendation to all the gun enthusiasts. Take the defensive handgun training course with defense sense you will not regret it. Finding quality training on proper use of firearms can be very challenging. I wanted to learn more about how to use my handgun properly. If you want to take your training/understanding of firearms to the next level, this is an amazing way to do it. The defensive handgun course is local right here in Tooele County. I cannot even begin to tell you all that I learned in such a short period of time. They showed me all the basics of how to use a handgun. Defense Sense is an awesome value for defensive firearms training. The Farnam curriculum is suitable for beginners to more advanced operators. After multiple 2-day classes I have continued to grow my skills with every class.
