Usually I enjoy classes here but they do vary a lot teacher to teacher so sometimes yoga 2 is actually yoga 1 etc which can be frustrating but once you find the right teachers you can pick and chose accordingly. I do wish they would change their water filter more often, it's been on red for over a month and it would be nice to know there's filtered water available. The label says it's changed once a month but maybe needs to be changed twice?

I’ve taken a bunch of great classes here, but I want to give a particular shoutout to two standouts: Nikki’s 7:30 PM Sunday Sound Bath Heated Fusion and Emily’s 9 PM Monday Candlelight Core 2.
In Nikki’s Sunday class, you get an hour and 15 minutes total—about an hour of heated fusion flow that sets you up perfectly for the sound bath at the end. She’s got a great collection of crystal bowls (which she can somehow play multiple at once), plus a rain stick and other harmonic surprises. It’s a super charming and immersive experience—hard to imagine a better way to wind down and reset for the week.
Emily’s Monday night class is something totally new for me. It hits a unique tone: mellow enough for a late-night session but still packed with opportunities to challenge yourself. She threads in a smart, modern vinyasa sequence that builds toward fun peak poses—one night it was a baby grasshopper capstone pose, which stuck with me as a perfect “go try something new” moment. It’s a blast.
This studio has a lot to offer, and these two classes could easily fly under the radar. Don’t miss them.

Had a yoga class, even had a membership! However I invited my friend for a first time yoga class, she was a few minutes late, about 6. They wouldn’t let her in even though she said it was her first time. It was disappointing. Since then I moved yoga locations and love the different studios that aren’t senseless, that would be more understanding. People have real lives, there’s more yoga studios out there, in Utah, tons! Glad that experience won’t happen again to my friend, they were so disappointed. I never had a bad experience but for her first time it wasn’t nice at all. She really tried to get them to understand, and got nothing.

Was literally one min late bc parking is difficult to find at this location and they don’t let you into the building. Now I paid for the class and get charged a no show fee. Need a better system.

I have been going to CorePower on and off for many years and I love their hot power fusion class. Seems pretty greedy however to have people sandwiched so close together (a few inches between mats) - at least 50 people in the class I attended. The person next to me was dripping sweat on my mat. The locker room wasn't large enough to accommodate everyone. I'll be back but not when I expect a full class (weekend, evening on a weekday) if I can help it.

I've been a member of Corepower for a little over a year now, and have taken 276 classes so far. Discovering my hot yoga practice was a game changer, and it quickly became a staple in my wellness routine. The instructors are phenomenal, and the classes leave much room for my evolution and growth within my practice. I'm so grateful to be a part of this community!

Great experience! Chris was an awesome instructor he was super fun and attentive to the needs of the class even went out to get me a cup of water during the hot yoga core work out cuz he saw I needed some. I was very impressed with the level of courtesy and professionalism from Chris and all of the other staff members the facility was clean and inviting. The yoga class was a great work out and helped me find my zen for the day, definitely will be returning.

Just went to my first class today. It is a clean studio and Karen taught an awesome class. Lots of cues and instruction for our practice. I will say it wasn’t clear to us that we were going to a hot yoga class until we got there! Maybe that could be made clearer on the site for others in the future.

I was a couple years out of my yoga practice so started at the studio with Connor in the C1 Saturday class. I highly recommend for beginners or those that want to strengthen their fundamentals. It’s a nice mix of meditative and upbeat. Connor emits such a warm, open, and loving energy, which helps cultivate an environment of non-judgement and kindness. Progressed so much with him and will miss seeing his cheery face every Saturday!

I love the variety of classes, and I love CPY in general.
However, I give 4 starts because there’s room for improvement in the following:
-they used to give wet towels at the end of class, I loved that. They stopped a while ago saying it’s for the drought, but it really sounds like it’s a cost saving practice considering the amount of water that goes into a wet towel.
-they used to offer more adjustments during classes by giving you a coin, they don’t anymore.
-the space between one mat to the other is not enough to move comfortably during class. Luckily most classes aren’t full, but if they are, it’s not enjoyable.
-the app needs serious improvements and debugs. The whole system of booking, payments, freezing etc is bad

Pros:
-Awesome synergistic yoga variations that combine strengthening the core, flexibility, and detoxing with heat.
- Super mega hyperbolically awesome instructors (although when they push you in class this sentiment fades slightly).
-Clean everything
-Locker room
-Showers w/ all the soaps 🧼
- Mouthwash!!!
Con(s):
-… the locker room is small…😂…seriously though it’s tiny…😬

Visited this place with my girlfriend. We’re travel nurses. Worst experience we’ve ever had at a corepower. We were stalked everywhere, including the bathrooms. The manager "fake" cleans to stalk you. I mean it was clearly obvious we were not welcomed. Definitely not waisting our money there again. We found a great studio elsewhere where we don’t feel harassed and stalked the entire time!
Should be ashamed of yourselves.

The Yoga instructors at Core Power are experienced and talented at conducting a class for yogis of all skill levels. I recommend beginning with a C1 class if you are new to CorePower Yoga. Core Power has been the best investment I've made in myself. The benefits from Yoga are remarkable.

I really like Corepower and they have 3 locations in SLC. Of the three locations I appreciate the charm of Trolley square but the rooms are a little small. Other than that they have all the things I love about Corepower. Great teachers. Fun classes that are just the right combo stretching and building strength. I know a lot of people worry about the price of a membership being to high but its worth it if you go. They have a ton of class times starting from 5:30am to 8:30pm. Also students get a discounted monthly rate. Highly recommend.

I love the Trolley Square CorePower studio. The location is perfect and the studio is charming. The windows in the studio provide a pretty look outside during practice. The C1 classes are a great way to work on foundations and still get a great work out. C2s are always challenging and the heat feels great--especially in the winter. I love Katie G's C2 on Thursdays at 4:30. She is an amazing instructor who makes me work hard in class. She also shares truly inspirational stories through classes. Judd's 7:15 Hot Power Fusion class on Wednesday's is an intense working and also offers relaxing restorative poses. I have gone to some fun themed classes here; some were based on certain musicians like the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, and many more. These are high-energy and such a fun way to practice with an upbeat group of people. I would recommend anyone who is interested in trying yoga to come try out a C1 or restore class. The C2s and Hot Power Fusions are always fun and an intense, gratifying workout. I find it quite obvious that most students who write angry, irrational reviews result from when they have tried a very hard class without much experience. Beginning with a class that's designed for beginners is the best way to have a good first experience and work up to harder/heated classes! Great studio for someone who's never tried yoga or has been practicing for years.
