I’m giving them one star for a reason. First off I signed a one year contract because I was moving the following year. So when my contract was up they didn’t tell me I had to renew it so I stopped going. 3 months go by and they kept charging my card every month. The thing is I called and asked them to stop charging me because I only signed a one year contract. The employees there told me only one person there can take care of my Account and she works at the worst times 9-12. Hard to take care of business when you work or go to school. So they wouldn’t help me after calling numerous of times so I went to talk to my bank and changed my credit card. 9 months go by and I get a letter from collections saying I owe a good amount of money. The only reason I’ll give them one star is their weight room is alright. But rumor has it everyone is leaving that gym because they’re making people get personal trained. And they couldn’t afford the upstairs because clients were leaving. So if you are thinking about going to this gym, think again.

I’ve had a gym membership for almost 2 years and I’ve been quite happy with it. The child care workers are very friendly, I’ve worked with a couple of the trainers for training sessions and they’re both great, and the people at the front desk are always quick to answer questions and help how they can.

Been going to desert palms for years but stopped going for a couple months and during that time the card that was on my account expired, but instead of contacting to update my info they just sent me to collections. I tried going in to the gym to take care of it and they told me every time that there was not a manager available to talk with me, and they also said that they did not have my email address or my phone number on file which is why I was not contacted, but upon review of my contract it clearly stated my email and phone number. I would definitely not recommend desert palms to anyone, if anyone is thinking about joining they should probably go to summit for 3 times the amenities but the same price.

Terrible new hours. I used to love desert palms, great spa and awesome friendly staff, but now I'm just waiting for my membership to be up with the shortened hours. The spa is pretty much ruined. They filled the hot tub with cement. I doubt anyone wants to walk by a bunch of treadmills sitting where a spa used to be on the way to the sauna. The daycare hours aren't very great either the only upside to the daycare is the friendly staff and the same can't be said for front desk.

I love desert palms! The classes are so much fun. I never have to wait for machines and everyone is nice. I never feel self conscious when I'm there like I have at other gyms. My favorite part of desert palms is the classes. The instructors are all great! And doing yoga with the view of the red hills can't be beat.

I just joined Desert Palms last week and I am so glad I did! The second I stepped foot into their facility I was greeted and welcomed back like family! I mostly joined for the classes and I must say, I have not been disappointed! All the instructors are friendly, personable, and very knowledgeable in the fitness world! Thanks Desert Palms for assisting me reaching my fitness goals!

PS Meagan is one of the reasons I joined and she's an amazing instructor!!! She will kick your butt right into shape! 💪🏾👍🏾💦

I have been to a lot of gyms. But I have really enjoyed Desert Palms for several years now. They upkeep there equipment and are always friendly when I get there at 6:15 am. I have also attended many of there strength and ripped classes which were all really good. Whatever you are looking for they got it! Keep it up!

overall, its a good gym with all the weights that you need. The dumbbells are a little old from what I remember. It just seemed like a smaller, more crowded gym. I was always having to wait for a machine, the squat rack, or bench press. It would be a nice gym if it was bigger, with more equipment.

HORRIBLE customer service. I had to fill out multiple cancellation forms just to get them to stop charging me. Then when I asked for a refund they refused to give back the full amount saying I didn't have proof that I cancelled. Straight up fraud if you ask me.

Desert Palms is a very family oriented gym, which is my favorite quality. It's so refreshing to walk into a facility where I'm welcomed warmly and made to feel so comfortable while getting my workouts in. I love being able to see my friends and family over there each day, it makes reaching my personal goals that much easier! It is a very clean and well kept facility, and I know that if I ever have a question about anything, there are friendly people all around to help me with anything I need. Desert Palms is also reasonably priced, and overall a great environment to better my body and self in. I highly recommend it.

Desert Palms is the gym to go to if you love belonging around a family oriented community. Everybody in the gym knows each other and enjoys spending the time together while having fun. I love what this gym stand for and the way that it carries itself with awesome staff. I have been to other gyms around town and this is my favorite one. There is always a positive attitude and there are machines open for me to do my workouts.

Ive gone to other gyms here in town and none of them beat DP! Its by far the best gym here in St.George. I go almost everyday for about 2 hours. The equipment are super nice and its never too full like other gyms. It has a positive vibe upstairs and downstairs. You can actually get a really good workout in. The staff are easy to get along with and very cool. They have everything you would need to make any kinds of gainz(; Give it a try, i promise you wont regret it!

The gym is good. Lots of free weights and quality machines. My problem is after my year commitment I've moved out of state but they continue billing my credit card. I've called multiple times and to no avail. I've asked credit card provider for help.

I wouldn't even put a star if it was possible on this review. My sister and I joined up with this gym a year ago. My sister cancelled it April 30th, 2013 for both of our accounts or so we thought. We waited to cancel so there would be no cancellation fees. My sister went in signed the papers and that was it. Come to find out they only cancelled my sisters account and were continually charging my card. When I contacted the sales manager he told me to come in to discuss it in detail. Overall the experience was horrible with the communication and resolution of this issue. The managers tried to blame my sister for not filling out the form correctly when they themselves couldn't even find the form in their records, as proof to the cancellation itself, to me that sounded fishy and unprofessional. We were never given a copy or receipt of any kind, again they said that was on "us" not getting a copy for our records. They were unwilling to reimburse me for the months that I was charged. The sales manager was rude, lazy, and very unprofessional. He tried to show my sister what she "signed wrong" with no proof of the document. When the main manager was involved he was just as inconsiderate of the situation. They made a mistake and they should have fixed it. It is too bad they were unwilling to be respectful and considerate of the situation. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS GYM TO ANYONE!

Absolutely awful. I cancelled my plan in December and as of April 4/3/13, I am still being charged. I have contacted the accountant three separate times, left a voicemail for the manager, and they never got back to me. Do not go here if you want an honest business, this definitely is not the place.
