We signed our daughter up for dance at Elite thinking they knew how to teach a child that had never danced before. After about 2 months of dance classes on the way to class my daughter just broke into tears sobbing uncontrollably. She bawled for nearly half an hour while we sat in the parking lot. After she calmed down enough to talk she informed me that the teacher spends most of the time just yelling at her and being mean to her because she isn't as good as the other students and that she didn't want to do dance anymore.

When we got home, and I told my wife about the situation she informed me that the instructor had just sent her some irritated texts about our daughter not being committed and that if she wasn't coming that she was going to reorganize the class layout without our daughter in it. When I informed the front desk manager of the situation and attempted to cancel, she informed me that they are a competitive studio and what did I expect. She offered up that maybe a different class was in order if they could find room to which my daughter again started crying when I even suggested going back.

The office manager then Immediately shoved the contract down my throat and proceeded to tell me that I was on the hook for the next month of dance plus fees. It’s sad that all they care about is money.

My daughter wanted to learn how to dance so badly and now she has zero desire to take lessons. It’s sad that a place that should be building up kids self esteem is tearing it down instead.

Personally I suggest anywhere else. If you read the reviews this isn’t the first time this place has crushed a child’s self esteem.

Where do we start? Elite is our second home! We've been coming since Kapri was 2! The life lessons the studio and teachers have taught Kapri is undoubtedly more than we could have done ourselves. I knew about Elite before having children and have always said my child will go there. They teach dancers to be independent, respectful and hard workers. Kapri has grown so much as a person in society due to the life lessons she's learned through the studio. We recently joined the studio after leaving another after several years. One of the dancers who went viral peeked our interest and then going in one day for a trial class had us committed. Each week we feel more welcome. Our experience from the front desk, teachers and other dancers is unmatched. I worried about having similar issues this studio but diversity and inclusion is just a gimmie at Elite Academy! I don’t have to explain why certain makeup wouldn’t match my daughter or etc. Had I known sooner we would have come then. This studio ruined dance for both of my girls who have been dancing for 11 and 6 years. 3+ months after leaving this toxic environment and girls on my daughter's old team are STILL harassing her via text, phone, and social media. If you want your daughter to have positive influences, go anywhere else.

What started off good turned into them being inflexible with covid and our expectations. Not being able to see out child was hard, but when we decided to part ways because we weren't satisfied, they waved the contract at is and threatened to send us to collections after weeks of trying to reach out, getting no answer and talking to someone about leaving. Not professional or understanding. Lack of communication and did not even fill their end of the contract. To blame covid for not letting us see our daughter and and then not let us leave because we didn't get the service we paid for and use covid as a means to make more money is manipulative. Be careful with them.

Both my girls ages 6 and 8 enjoy going there. I like that they have combo classes so they can learn several different styles of dance without needing to sign up for individual classes that wastes instruction time doing multiple warm up and cool down sessions. I also like the recital information is kept simple and specific to what your dancer needs vs. inundated with unnecessary overwhelming communication.

This is one of the best, if not the best, dance studio’s in Utah. My daughter danced with Elite Academy for approximately 10 years, until she reached High School and she now dances on a high school team. Elite not only provided her with the best dance experience but also gave her unconditional support and the tools she needed to succeed in life as she grew and matured. My daughter has made life long friends and has built awesome rapports with her dance teachers throughout the years. Elite has the best teachers and provides dancers with the opportunity to participate in awesome dance conventions. The owner of Elite Academy was recently awarded 2020 business Woman of the Year and that’s because she is incredible and is one of the most amazing, loving and caring people I know. This place is the worst for young kids! There is one teacher assigned to about 20 kids. I've witnessed children leaving class and the teacher not even noticing! I've also witnessed parents that were late picking up their kids and the teacher not noticing the 3-year-old wandering around trying to find her mom. The teacher is extremely unapproachable; she never smiles. My child has been attending class from 5 months and the teacher has never introduced herself or even approached me. If you want your kid to be looked after then this is not the place. If you want your kid wandering the halls, the parking lot, or even Redwood Road without adult supervision, then this is the place for you! They say they open at 4:00, but good luck getting anyone to answer the phone, staff the front desk, or answer an email.

We love Elite Academy, our daughter is in the doodlebugs class for 2-3 year olds. I love that they offer classes for the little ones starting at age 2, not very many studios offer classes starting that young. She comes out of every class so happy with the biggest smile on her face! Their schedule is so accommodating with classes in the am and pm. All dance fees are straight forward and easy to understand. All studio news is readily available and consistently communicated. The teachers are so patient and kind, I know my daughter is getting the very best! We love our Elite Academy family!!

The studio owner is never there, and when she is she comes in a fur coat and starts criticizing everyone. All they care about is money and i personally know 7 girls going to THERAPY because of this place! This studio is a confidence destroyer and the owner is the most vile woman to ever cross the face of the earth! I was told I was a horrible dancer every time I went to dance by multiple teachers. I know that 12 of the girls are leaving the studio this year, and no one one with higher than an eighth grade education teaches here. Unless you want to pay for years of therapy, I strongly suggest not going here.

We have had our 2 year old enrolled in Elite Acadmey for since fall 2018. She LOVES coming to dance. We had tried another dance studio with a mommy and me class, but it was a distraction for her having Mom with her and this is a much better fit. She daily asks if it’s the day to go to dance. Her teacher has taught her so much and she adores her classmates. The highlight for her was her Christmas recital. She’s learning so many skills and truly has a passion for dance. The best decision we made was to enroll her and I couldn’t recommend Elite Academy more highly to anyone.

Elite Academy has changed my daughters life. Her love and committment to Elite has blown my mind. She never tires of her time there, and often wants to go early, and stay late, just to hang around with all of the people she loves so much. My daughter started dancing with Elite 7 years ago at the age of 2. I was so excited to find dance classes for her that were not Mom and tot. At her first performance I was amazed, not so much that my 2 year old could remember an entire dance but the company dancers and cheerleaders were absolutely incredible. Last year we were at another dance studio located just down the street from Elite Academy. We had multiple issues with them. This year we decided to try Elite Academy...we absolutely love it. When we looked around and talked with other studios, we felt that Elite had everything that we were looking for for my daughter to grow as a dancer.

Elite has trained instructors that help the dancers be the best they can be. The dancers are challenged to excel while loving to be at each and every one of their classes.

The studios are large and spacious with tons of room for the dancers to move. There are also many varieties in dance that are offered at Elite for every type of dancer.
