They do not honor any “7 day trials” without a chat. And beware... It is pretty much a scam and most of their staff are slimy sales people that will pitch to you “it will take 2 minutes,” but you’ll be sitting there forever. You will also get bombarded with phone calls and text messages within the first 20 minutes of sign up and throughout the next few days. Not sure if they have lack of training or poor management, but this behavior is unacceptable. Should’ve chose Vasa instead of wasting any time here.

Not very clean. All benches by dumbbells should be adjustable so there aren't lines for them when its busy. Flat only benches are a waste. Bad maintenance on cardio equipment. Constant staff turnover. Its not a bad gym its just okay.

Very bad vibes
I was just trying to go to the gym on my day off had never been to eos, figured I’d be able to sign up and get on with my workout but NO that was not the case. The first kid that showed me around was very chill got me signed up. Then the second guy, supposedly the “manager “ showed up. This guy was an absolute tool, making weird comments, asked me to “roll up his sleeve” not even joking , some seriously uncomfortable stuff, then started talking bad on first kid. I felt like I was in a scene from the movie Dodgeball. He started showing me his mirror pics, I’m pretty sure he said he’s hasn’t had a carb in 7 years (I’m paraphrasing on this one) lolol, it felt like I had walked into the real life globo gym. All this just to pressure me into signing up for a pt. I kept waiting for him to introduce me to blazer and lazer it was that bad. All I could do was say no and laugh. Finally he gave up and said “fine I bet I’ll never see you here again”, I was blown away. This whole thing took forever, I just wanted to get a workout in. Altogether beware, their sales tactics were very aggressive, uncomfortable and off putting. Gym was ok though

I really like the gym and so do a lot of other people. It is always packed whatever time of the day 7 days a week. With that said, the two available saunas are already not enough to accommodate for all the traffic during the high times. They are ok during the not so busy times. Since I started going again after taking a break this summer only one sauna has been in working. Its been two weeks now. Yesterday, Saturday morning at 8AM the one working sauna was so full that people couldn't get in unless they waited outside until someone came out and they could take their place. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a Sauna that is packed, but the problem is the current flow of people opening and closing the door which keeps the sauna from ever getting to the 160F that it by law can go up to. (Which in my opining is not enough in the first place, but I get the reasoning)
The sauna is one of the main reasons I'm coming to this Gym, it was my deciding factor.
This situation is not fun and really puts me off.

Also for two years I've been asking to get little sand sauna timers in them so you don't have to bring a device to know how long you have been in there. Those are very inexpensive and easy to get and install. Every other sauna has them. So far, no timers.

What I see, and this is just my opinion and might not be true, is either that you guys have to become to corporate and your staff is not invested and doesn't care about the companies values and mission (I am not blaming the staff for this at all, this is a natural risk of big organizations) or that the process, chain of command or bureaucracy involved to get problems addressed is to complicated and strenuous.

Either way, for the love of God, please fix the second sauna and get a couple timers in them. That would be highly appreciated by all of us!!!!

The massage chairs at the Sandy location are nice; however, many days it is very stinky in there. The staff will NOT put an air purifier in there! The childcare staff is very bad. They allow kids to scream and yell very loud to bother ppl in massage chairs. The kids are so loud the people in the massage chairs are forced to listen to the screaming and crying.

I usually have amazing experiences with the front desk people and this gym, but when I checked in tonight I was offered and explained the body scan by a different associate which shows your muscle mass, body fat, etc. When being offered this, Lincoln made a disgusted face not once but twice and made direct contact with me while doing so. This is unacceptable because it is discouraging, I have a gym membership for a reason, to build my body and make healthy choices. I don’t need a teenager making disgusting faces when another associate is doing his job and telling me things I have access to that will show vulnerable information. Really great way to start my gym sesh, left shortly after because that threw off my whole experience.

Don’t go to this location, it’s the worst one. Don’t fall for their lies or sales tactics, it’ll definitely cost you. If they offer you a “welcome workout,” be aware it’s just a sales pitch there won’t actually be a workout involved. Make sure to read the contract carefully, ask them to show you exactly what you’re paying for, and get clear expectations up front. They’ll claim their services include all kinds of benefits that they don’t actually provide. There’s a lot more I could say, but I’ll just leave it at this, go to any other location besides Sandy. The professionalism at this location is far below the standard and that’s really disappointing.

Late night or early gym goers should bring your best noise cancelling headphones because they turn the music all the way up during those hours for some reason.

New to this gym and they have a free assisted stretch very unprofessional no one was there at my scheduled time, then they said they would reschedule me but failed to do so when I checked back in. There was mention of another free complimentary session for the inconvenience but also declined that service saying that the initial free session is my complimentary? Very little help. Workers acted like it was their first day saying there was nothin they can do and I should call back later. When I was there in person ? 😡😡😡😡

Equipment is always broken and takes about a year to even get fixed. Employees are very annoying. They’ll yell inside and fight each other on the turf? Not sure what’s going on. I’ve been going here for about a year consistently and the equipment is always clean! It’s also not too too busy which I like. I’ve gotten familiar with the staff and they’re all nice-but one of employees today was using a rude tone and was just coming off mean, which I wasn’t expecting! I’m not one to ever write reviews but I’ve never dealt with a gym this shady in my life. When I signed up for EOS, I was told I could “try” personal training and cancel if I didn’t like it. That was a complete lie. Nobody mentioned I’d be locked into a four month agreement for $50 every two weeks, they conveniently left that part out. Mikayla (the training manager) had sold it like it was optional and flexible, then hid behind the fine print when i wanted to cancel, not just that, i was told i would be built workouts and exercises on my app and built some type of plan when i come in without my trainer, that never happened. What really pissed me off was the lack of professionalism. I asked to speak with the training manager, Mikayla about the situation, and she didn’t even have the decency to come talk to me herself, she sent the front desk girl to tell me “that’s just the agreement.” If that’s how EOS trains their “managers” it says everything about the company. I understand that contracts exist, but when your staff gives someone incomplete info, that’s not on the customer.. what they’re doing is misleading people into signing them, it’s disgusting. I’ve already contacted corporate and filed a complaint about the misrepresentation, but I’d warn anyone thinking about joining to watch out for their sales tactics. Don’t believe anything they tell you because they’ll smile to your face and then trap you in a contract because all they want is your money, they don’t care about you

Pros: The gym and facilities is pretty solid especially for the price

My negative experience: I visited this Gym with my brother last Christmas. We talked to some lady (Sounds like she was fired) Who told us instead of doing one day for $20 since we were just visiting and don’t even live in Utah that They had some deal Where we would only have to pay a dollar and didn’t have to sign up for anything, They just had to get some info from us so we could use the gym.

To my surprise about six months later, I found out I’ve been paying over $300 this year for a gym. I went there one time and never went to again. I never received any emails regarding monthly statements or a sign up. I only found out about this Because I checked my monthly bank statements.

Trying to get a hold of customer service here was absolute hell. Most of the people I talk to That worked at the gym (front desk people) were very kind and did a good job at customer service. Unfortunately, they say that they can’t do anything about this and it’s up to the district manager or billing.

The billing person for ABC companies or whatever they’re called: I genuinely feel bad for this lady because She sounded miserable, pretty much just reads off of a script, lacks any basic empathy skills or awareness, And sounds like she hates her job. Rightfully so.

The district manager not sure the name but their email is Slarson@… , is incompetent at their job and doesn’t even bother to reach out to me after calling them six different times to get this resolved. Sounds like he has a great job since he gets paid to not even work.

During the two months it took to get this resolved after I found out about this they billed me for another month and only refunded me for one month even though I said I wanted to cancel the month prior since I don’t even live there or go to this gym.

I hate this place. I hate this parent company and you guys genuinely suck for how you treated me through this process (front desk staff excluded).

I’ve been an EōS member for a while and usually go to the Murray location with my partner, who has a guest pass. We’ve had good experiences there, but lately there’s been a lot of inconsistency and confusion between locations.

Today at the Sandy location, I was told I couldn’t come in as her guest because I already have a membership at another EōS gym. The employee claimed the policy changed back in August, but that doesn’t match anything on EōS’s website. I’ve been to this same Sandy location eight times since August using her guest pass with no issues. I was even let in just yesterday by another staff member.

When I questioned the change, the employee said they’d “let me in if I bought a drink,” which was incredibly unprofessional. They also told me I could upgrade my membership to access the location, but I pointed out that defeats the whole purpose of my partner paying for guest privileges.

A similar issue happened a few months back at the Murray location, and when my partner called to confirm the guest policy, staff said it wouldn’t be a problem.

It’s clear there’s a serious lack of consistency across locations and a need for better staff training on company policy. I’ll continue using the Murray gym, but this kind of experience at Sandy reflects poorly on EōS as a whole.

I was very happy up until about 3 weeks ago! Now it's a freaking SAUNA in this gym and I literally feel heat stroke trying to run. Isn't this a gym? Where you workout? The staff has the audacity to say they are cold! You work at a gym! They refuse to turn the fans on high and if this continues to happen up go elsewhere! Ridiculous

Update: last year we complained to corporate and they fixed the problem. BAM, we this year and it's the same thing all over again. They say they cannot touch them but I know that the managers and assistant managers can! I was told my corporate just a week ago they were the only ones that could touch it. They have then over like CRAZY. So once you have a great front desk they change and it's not always for the better. And the managers all manage differently, and they change as well not for the better! And don't get me started about the membership issues we have had. We love "the gym" and some of the staff but they really need to get it together. Sounds like they have a lot of these problems with people and even the BBB

I've been a member for almost 2 years. This EOS has all the equipment I need. I'm currently coached by a trainer. Adam Fratto is very attentive to my specific needs and seems to remember all of our previous conversations. That's helpful when he followed up with me because I had had a nagging pinched nerve.
