I’ll keep this simple — this facility desperately needs an operations manager. The way it's run is incredibly inconvenient for customers. We were customers years ago and only returned because my child really wanted to come back. Unfortunately, the same issues still exist: disorganized processes, no onboarding for new customers, and no seating area for parents downstairs while waiting.
Now let’s talk about the check-in chaos — imagine 50 excited kids yelling, adults shouting names, and complete confusion. It’s loud and disorganized. A better system? Create one single line by the door. Have instructors lined up inside the gym. One staff member at the door checks in each child: “Name?” — “Coach so-and-so” — done. Way faster and far less chaotic than the current system.
And the waiting area — why are parents standing on stairs? What about elderly people or those with injuries? With the amount this place charges, invest in some proper seating for paying customers.
Lastly, onboarding. We came back and had no idea what to do. Staff were running around with no clear direction. It took 20 extra minutes just to get our kid into their first class. A simple welcome email would help: “Hi, you're in Ninja. Please arrive 5 minutes early, stand on the blue line near the door, and wait for your coach.” Something like that would make a huge difference.
Just some honest feedback and free operational advice. Hope it helps.

My daughters love this place, they love coming here to do gymnastics, the coaches are good and teach properly and are patient with them, we've been here for almost two years, they started at 2 and now they're doing gymnastics movements incredibly well. We love Coach Ana 💗

Epic is truly a hidden gem in gymnastics facilities! We are constantly blown away at the level of care, professionalism, attention to detail and cleanliness of the facility. Every staff member we’ve ever encountered there with our (now three) kids in attendance has been nothing but positive.
Our kids can’t wait for their next classes, whether it is a recreational class, developmental pre-team or competitive team. Tonya has created a program to suit kids of all abilities and goals, and keeps her staff well-trained to help those kids reach said goals in a safe and positive manner. I feel very confident that my kids are learning valuable gymnastics and ninja skills but also life lessons in endurance, perseverance as well as mental and physical wellness. Most of all, they are happy because they know they are cared for.
Everything is so well ran from an organizational standpoint in everything we’ve ever been involved with. In the year we’ve been in attendance, coaching turnover has been near non-existent. We also find it a huge value for the amount of hours offered. The coaches and classes are structured to make sure every minute counts. My kids never come home with any other feeling than how excited they are to go back! My biggest regret is that we didn’t sign them up sooner.

We love Epic! We started with the toddler class when my little was just under 2, and it was so much fun watching her coordination improve. She’s now enrolled in the discovery class and has learned so much! It’s a great introductory class. We love coach Ana! She’s so good with kids and my daughter looks forward to seeing her every week.

We have loved our experience at Epic. My 4 year old son is enrolled in the discovery class and loves it! He has done a few trials with the ninja classes and loved that as well.
Before he started here he was very timid and nervous about playing on a playground. He would be scared to climb up ladders and go down slides.
The training he is receiving at Epic has built his strength and coordination, and has given him the confidence and courage to try new physical activities that he would never try before. He is not afraid at the playground anymore!
The staff has always been kind and respectful to me and my son. I would definitely recommend this gym to others!

We had a really great experience at Epic. When my daughter first started, she was in the rec classes. When I didn’t feel like she was progressing as quickly, I talked to her coaches and they printed off a progress chart for us and talked us through the exact skills she needed to pass off before she could progress to the next level.
My daughter was invited to join a Developmental Team a few months later and that’s when I really started to see her progress quickly. She gained so much strength, flexibility, and confidence in such a short time. She was so excited and motivated as she saw her own progress. She would have been advanced to the competing team after her year on the Devo team but we decided to try some other sports instead.
The staff at Epic were amazing and helped my daughter so much. They communicated very well with us and helped my daughter build the foundational skills she needed to learn tricks on bar, beams, vault, and floor. I was amazed the things she was learning. She loved her coaches and friends and still misses it, months after switching out.

As the nanny for a wonderful little boy, I’ve had the pleasure of taking him to Epic Gymnastics, and I can’t say enough good things about it! Lesly, the receptionist, was always so kind to us, making every visit feel special. Coach Bret quickly became his favorite person, and the 'ninja class' was the highlight of his week. In just a few months, he’s made amazing progress, and his family is so proud of how far he’s come. We highly recommend Epic Gymnastics & Dance!

I used to coach there and now I sub occasionally. The classes are very organized and designed in a way that allows kids to move at their own pace and progress up to higher levels if they want. The team has also done really well in competitions and they love their coaches! I would definitely recommend trying out a trial class and checking out the gym!

Because I wouldn't be moving both girls at the same time to their gym, they wouldn't even let us do a trial class. They felt it would be a conflict to have two kids from the same family be on different teams. Its the owner's right to make this call, but it sure seems silly to turn away business.

I signed my daughter up for a beginner trial lesson. She has never taken gymnastics or tumbling, and has been begging me for months to sign her up for one. She was so excited.
She was told to line up, but we were given no explanation of what would happen. She was taken into the gym with several girls and they started warming up. I could tell almost immediately that this class was not designed for beginners. The coach seemed to expect that she already knew what to do. She did not. It appeared that all the other girls had been in the class before. My daughter tried really hard to do what was being asked, but I could tell that she was confused and frustrated. After all, this was her first time! The coach didn't seem to have any interest in supporting or instructing in a positive way. My daughter looked up at me in distress, but parents are not allowed to go into the gym. When the class was finally over, my daughter came out sobbing. She was crying so hard that she threw up. The coach didn't seem to understand what the problem was. I told her the class was too advanced to be labeled beginner, and that she had never stepped foot in the gym. There was no compassion shown. After we left, my daugter told me her coach told her that there's no time for crying; that she wasn't allowed to get a drink; and that she wasn't going to repeat how to do an exercise. I can't imagine this experience being any worse. We will definitely not be returning to Epic, and I hope that my daughter doesn't give up her desire to learn gymnastics because of this experience. She is traumatized.

I’ve had my 3 children enrolled here for over 3 years. I have a son and two daughters. They go twice a week and I pay around $600 per mo.
I have seen an incredibly high turn over with the coaches. I’ve seen a significant discrepancy between the encouragement and goals for boys vs girls. My daughters receive awards and opportunities while my son does not.
I receive sporadic (supposed to be monthly) updates on my daughter’s progress and nothing about my son.
There is a lack of communication from the management. The front desk is accommodating in a hit or miss sort of way. This facility is NOT clean. I have been placed on a waiting list as my daughters have “moved up” to a higher class but there’s not enough spaces for them in the higher class, therefore I’m paying for them to take remedial classes. It seems a lot of the coaches are very young and under experienced, though the prices and advertised skills are of experienced coaches.

Took my daughter here for a beginners trial and it was so disappointing. She was very nervous to go in the first place, but this was something she’s wanted to try for a while now. She struggled to muster up the courage to try some of the exercises they had the group doing and as she was anxiously attempting to do them, she received no encouragement. The people in her group had obviously been there before and knew what to do/were very clear on instructions while this was her very first time in this environment - EVER and she didn’t receive adequate support. Parents were also not allowed anywhere near the floor area, we had to wait up in the bleacher area upstairs and watch through a glass wall, so we couldn’t even encourage her or offer the support her coach and group should have offered. She left the trial early (in tears) feeling so embarrassed and defeated.
How is a BEGINNER supposed to start in an environment like this?

All of the teachers that worked with my daughter were amazing but I had noticed i would get treated differently by the front desk staff depending on how I looked. I work night shift so throughout the day I look comfortable. No makeup. Pajamas on and I’d get treated like I didn’t belong. The one and only time I came with makeup on, dressed nicely they were nice to me. This was such a common occurrence that I had pulled my daughter out by how uncomfortable they had made me feel.

We’ve been with Epic almost 10 years now and love it! Yes they may be slower at getting to the fancier tricks but it’s because they focus on strength and getting them perfect. I’ve seen so many more injuries at other gyms and few at Epic. I’d rather have my daughter stay injury free than doing fancy tricks she’s not ready for. I’ve seen gymnasts at other gyms doing tricks sloppy or barely getting their head off the ground when doing back handsprings. Going to meets and seeing how our structure is compared to other gyms, ours is by far one of the best. We’ve see gymnast after gymnast go to other gyms because they don’t trust the Epic process. Most of them have quit gymnastics not long after or suffered major injuries and regretting their decision. We’re happy and won’t be going anywhere else!!!

Update: we switched to a different night and have been working with Coach Mike and Coach Brett. They both really know their stuff and are engaged. Significant improvement. We hope they both stick around for a while!
Im impressed overall with Epic and the wide variety of classes they offer however, Marcus the Ninjas coach leaves a bit to be desired. He is nice as a person and have nothing against him personally but as an overall ninja instructor he really lacks the enthusiasm and energy needed to effectively be teaching the littlekids. I have noticed over the last few weeks during the hour long class, that the students spend a good 10-15 minutes just standing around with out much instruction and direction or Marcus shows off doing tricks and stunts on the equipment versus actual instruction or examples of what to do. This happens a few times throughout class so by the time class ends the kids have only been actively participating and running the ninja course for about 30 minutes. I'm not paying $70+/mo for my kids to just stand and horse around. I have a friend in his other ninja class who's expressed similar concerns with the front desk. I would like to see more hands on and intentional Instruction with a bit more structure and have Marcus really utilize the time allotment for class and excite and engage with these kids.

We have enjoyed Epic Gymnastics programs very much. Our daughter attends their ballet and gymnastics classes. They have been very easy to work with, especially with their website. Makes enrollment and make up classes very simple. Coach Noah is my daughters coach for both ballet and gymnastics and we’ve loved working with her! The rest of their coaches we’ve come met have been wonderful as well.

The progress that I have seen with my daughter is amazing! Her first coach was Sarah, she was teaching the classes for a while when my daughter started. We loved her! Yes, she is strict but best believe she corrected her students making sure the kids form is close to perfect! She is very firm with her teachings. She stopped teaching the discovery classes and now teaches the older girls (Competition). We were upset for a while because the earlier classes were going through different instructors/coaches... but finally my daughter classes has a set coach, Noa Matsuzaki! She has such a big heart! My daughter is now loving gymnastics more! Noa is an excellent coach! Extremely patient and nice with the kids. She truly loves seeing her students be successful in their skill development. I love how she gives me feedback about my daughter and asked what can she do to help her be more successful. The only thing I had to say was to be a little more strict on my child. My daughter is definitely loving her coach,Noa. That when she gets home she starts practices her skills to show her in the next class!

I unexpectedly had a loss in my family and have been out of state dealing with the funeral. This place got mad because I didn’t give a 2week notice. My daughter was enrolled in the Discovery class (she is 3), according to their website the only prereq is that their potty trained; HOWEVER, they have 3-5 year olds combined into one class which is a huge difference developmentally. During my daughters 6th class the teacher kicked my 3 year out of class about 10-15 minutes early, this is according to my 3 year old because the teacher (Alicia) never came and found me or called me after the class. My 3 year old said, "my teacher told me to come find you and said I need to go home because I wasn't listening and doing nothing." I find it extremely alarming that the teacher would send a 3 year old out of class, to find their parent, without any follow up. Additionally, there are huge doors leading outside that my daughter could have easily walked out of without anyone noticing, as the parent area is upstairs. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, and waited to see if a teacher would reach out to me as to why my daughter was asked to leave), and they didn't. I called a few hours later and spoke to manager who said that she would call me back the following day, or have the teacher do so. The teacher did not call back until 830pm the next day smack dab in the middle of bedtime so I couldn't answer, when I attempted to call back 30 mins later they were closed. No additional follow up was conducted. My daughter did not want to to go back to class because of everything that happened. At the end of March I called to cancel my auto payment as my daughter had not been to class in several weeks and left a voicemail revoking payment for April (why would I keep paying for classes my daughter had not attended?) and asked about makeup credits for the 3 classes missed in March so that we could possibly try a different class and teacher (seeing as I paid $72 for one class my 3 year was kicked out of early...) I know they received my voicemail as they attempted to call me back while I was in a work mtg but did not leave a voicemail. They still charged my card on April 2 for $72 despite being called before the beginning of the month. I'm fuming. Now I am going to have to get the charge reversed.

We love Epic! I have two gymnasts that have been on a competing team for a year and a half, and a year, and they have both grown so much! Epic expects respect, and they are quick to act to fix any problem that doesn't follow this expectation. They are safe, but expect the gymnasts to push themselves! The coaches are awesome!! I only wish there was ever a time to talk to them after practice, to see how the gymnasts are doing, even if it just once a month. My youngest gymnast is on the TOPS program, which is full of amazing opportunities! I am grateful Epic recognized the potential needed to invite us to participate in TOPS! I found them to be comparable in price, and the owners, Dave and Tawnya Grotepas are so great to work with, and really really care about what goes on! We love Epic, and look forward to continuing to grow with them!! "We are Epic!!"

My daughter and I attended a class and she came out of class looking sad and said it was just ok. I watched the class and her teacher was not excited. He didn't seem to really praise the kids or help them feel good/excited about what they were doing! He might be a great teacher for older, more experienced kids. I feel in a beginning level class, especially on the first day, you need dynamic teachers that are positive and upbeat. Their teacher did not seem to be happy to be there. I also thought they spent a long time on tasks that are taxing for the body at such a young age, ie head stands for almost 15 minutes. I was hoping for so much more especially for how much the classes cost! If you are thinking of trying Epic do the free trial! I am glad we did because sadly we wont be back.

I love that this is my girls first year (season) in the Ballet Classes and its so close to home. I would give it 5 stars because everything is so clean and nice and my girls love it BUT since I'm a new dance mom and was SO excited thinking of getting to see them do even a tiny recital just to find out you pay that much for classes only, nothing to come watch and see what they've learned (my sisters take them on Mondays due to my work schedule) at all makes me so sad. I guess I should've looked into that before registering them here but it's still exciting new adventure for us. Wouldn't put them here again though for that reason alone but other than that, I love it to help get us in the swing of it all.

Blown away at our free class recommended to us by my Niece. I took my daughter to another gym to check it out on a groupon and she had fun but not geared towards what I really wanted for her. I talked to my Niece and what her daughter was doing and thought I should check it out. Epic is very focused on technique. I was impressed that 15 minutes was warm up and stretching unlike our previous experience. I like that they are teaching my daughter (from what I can see from the observation "deck") how their body should be working for different movements. I can see progress each week and love that my daughter is enjoying the experience. She loves her teachers and has lots of fun.
The facility is amazing. Highly impressed with teaching methods I see in gymnastics and higher level tumbling. They start with the basics and build on that.
During the season switch we showed up for our regular class to find out it was moved to an earlier time and we did not get notified, found out my email was spelled wrong so that was fixed right away. Front office is very accommodating and friendly. During season change may be beneficial to have more than one person at the desk.
I have also heard from another parent I have gotten to know that there are things the students need to pass off before advancing to the next class. I think it would be nice to get this in a welcome letter so we can encourage our kids and set some goals with them for advancement.
Over all very happy and I look forward to my Daughter attending as long as she wants to :)

We absolutely love the teachers, staff and facilities at Epic. We looked at 3 other gyms in the area before settling on Epic. My daughters are learning strong technique in a positive environment.

My daughter is currently in her 2nd semester with Epic Gymnastics and she LOVES it. The staff is kind, classes are small, and they are really good to teach the girls proper techniques, safety tips, stretches, etc. I can't believe how far my daughter has come since starting! The building is new and the gym is great. The parking situation is a mess, but it's not a huge deal. We love the upper level window room where we can watch the kids. :)

We just moved to Murray from Texas and my daughter wanted to continue taking gymnastics and eventually move to team. I was pleasantly greeted by an amazing mom working at the front desk who not only helped my daughter find the class best suited, but gave me the ins and outs of how Epic works and all about their various programs. Class sizes are great, the environment isn't overly crowded or distractive, and the coaches and staff all seem very skilled. Really excited to be a part of Epic and looking forward to being here a long time!

My child loves the classes and has been learning a lot. The staff is friendly and professional, they work your child the whole time but it isn't unpleasant. You can watch the classes from a seating area. I wish there were a few more seats, sometimes it gets a bit crowded but it isn't too bad. Overall a good and beneficial experience.

I started taking my daughter here when she was about 18 months. She absolutely loves going to class and has been progressing steadily. We used to live about five minutes away from this gym. Now we live 20 minutes away, but I can't bring myself to go to any other gyms. Epic is worth the drive! It has the best reviews and the staff seems to be more concerned about gymnastics than money, which doesn't seem to be the case with other gyms. The teachers are all wonderful, too!

My Daughter loves this place. She is five years old and has taken all kinds of dance, lots of tumbling, swimming, and soccer. This is her first try at gymnastics. She says this is her favorite of all her classes she has taken.
Decided to put my 18 month old in. He was bewildered when we started his class but quickly learned and fell in love with the place! He was so upset too leave when his first 1/2 hour class was done.
I will give Epic Gymnastics five stars when they are in their new facility.
A great place for kids!

I have one daughter who is on the competitive team and two other daughters who have taken the rec classes at Epic Gymnastics and we LOVE this gym. The coaches truly love the sport and love the students. My competitive student spends many hours a week there and I couldn't ask for a better coach to be watching over her.

My daughter is now 2. She has been attending Epic Gym since she was 18 months. She loves going to class every week and has improved a lot in the last 6 months. She has gained confidence and independence. Its a great way the wear her out before she goes down for a nap. The staff is friendly and she likes her instructor.
