I’m not going to lie-when I first walked in I was a little hesitant. The building has a funky smell and could use some updates. But I honestly couldn’t care about any of that because unlike our previous experience at other gyms/studios, my daughter seems to actually be learning and improving every single day that she attends. She can’t wait to come home and show us what she has learned, and I can’t believe how much she has improved in such little time. She told me she wants to try for competition cheerleading eventually, and I truly can see that as a possibility for her at this gym.

My six year old daughter cheered here last year and we are returning this year. We attended several of the competitions and the difference between Exceleration and other teams was obvious. They did SO WELL. My daughter made so many friends her age as well as older girls. The environment is competitive but healthy and the coaches are really kind and patient. Two practices a week. A few mandatory practices here and there right before a competition. I was just really impressed with how cohesive it is. They really emphasize no bullying among the girls. Their rules on bullying are the only super strict thing about them and I really respect that. Girls of all abilities are on the teams and there is a place for everyone. Just a great experience and I can’t wait to watch my daughter continue to grow in cheer through Exceleration.

My daughter is currently in her third season with Exceleration All Star Cheer and she loves it. Before she started cheer, she did gymnastics for many years. As she progressed in gymnastics, the only part she liked was doing the floor routines. We had a friend highly recommend Exceleration and we have never looked back.

There were skills my daughter struggled with for years and years at gymnastics, including back handsprings, that Exceleration helped her achieve. She loves the emphasis on working together as a team. She loves being a base in stunts and being precise with her role.

The program is expensive, though I have heard it's the least expensive All Star Cheer Program in Utah County. The cost has been the hardest part for our family, but we have been doing our own fundraisers because it's worth the cost. I really appreciate Exceleration being 100% transparent about all the costs of the program during their parent meeting in May before you sign up.

The program also requires commitment, which is great to keep the teams strong. It requires a year commitment and very few absences. You have to be willing to keep your schedule open for competition season and all meets are mandatory as well as the practices right before meets. Occasionally they have extra practices right before a meet, which they say ahead of time is always a possibility. This has not been a problem for us; we actually appreciate it. I have heard that other nearby cheer programs are much more demanding of time and commitment. I am very happy with the amount of commitment required at Exceleration and it is enough for the teams to score very well at competitions.

This is definitely a personal preference, but my daughter also appreciates that Exceleration does not have uniforms that reveal her belly like other gyms do. She also appreciates that there is an option for practice uniforms to be a tank top.

A few things I'd want to know as a parent and athlete: One thing that is irreplaceable about Excel is the culture among the athletes and families. Rarely, do you find a very competitive environment where negative competition between the girls doesn't occur. Excel attracts and trains the girls to cheer on each other in their skills and performances! It filters over to the families and we've created amazing friendships through the teams. Another unique strength at Excel is that their uniforms are stylish and modest. My girls value that too. Gifted coaching is a treasure; the coaches at Excel have become some of my girls' role models and inspiration to do hard things and grow into great athletes.

Exceleration’s private coaching is incredible! We needed a few sessions for my daughter to pin down her aerial for drill tryouts, and the one on one coaching was amazing! She learned more in 2 sessions than she had in years at other gyms! Take my advice and pay for the better coaching! I wish I had taken my daughter here years ago and not wasted my time at the local convenient cheap gym.

We have been coming for over 5 years, all my kids have been a part of the programs at some capacity...from beginning to all-star. Each child's experience has been absolutely awesome. We LOVE EXCELERATION!!! Fifteen years ago my daughter started tumbling with Exceleration. After three weeks, she had a backhand spring, something I have never done in my entire life. Ha! I could not believe it.
Her tumbling class eventually turned into a cheer team that went to Nationals and won, and continue to win multiple times throughout the years. My other daughter eventually joined as well and we have been with Exceleration ever since. My girls have loved their teams, coaches, and lifelong friends they have made at Exceleration. We love Exceleration! We have quite a bit of tumbling, cheer and gymnastics experience in our family and I have to say that I've been blown away by how quickly my kids skills have progressed and improved while at Excel. My six year old already has his back tuck. My daughter loved tumbling so much that she joined the All Star Cheer team at Excel a year ago and plans to do it for years to come. Exceleration has been really great for my girls. Their tumbling program has helped my girls skills grow very quickly! We have done cheer for the past couple of years and have loved our experience. I love Exceleration!! We have been there several years now and I am SO grateful!! Excel gives the athlete the perfect amount of athletic training while still allowing them to have a life outside of all star cheer. Excel always looks clean and precise at competitions and always has great choreography. The coaches are great and push the athletes to do their best ….but are still fun loving and kind. I love that we go to plenty of competitions but do not have to do every single one offered. It keeps it fun and not a hassle for the entire family. I honestly couldn’t be more happy with my decision to switch my kids from our previous gym to this one. They were literally stuck on beginner level never learning anything new at the old place and within 4 months the progress they’ve made at exceleration is mind blowing. Hello Best cheer gym in the WORLD!! We travel 25 min each way for 3 of our daughters to go to this gym because it is so wondeful!! They have a system set for success no matter the child’s level! It is 100% positive encouragement from all coaches ... seriously we have one child that was not born with tons of coordination and because of the constant love and great coaching she is progressing more than I thought was possible!! Our other daughter who has high goals in a short amount of time has received incredible skill training and support to take her as a new gym girl who could just do a fall to bridge to a round off back tuck in 8 months! We couldn’t be prouder!! We love this place!! We do both the tumbling classes and the All Star Teams and love them both!! Seriously we are amazed at the quick growth!! I absolutely love Exceleration they have the best customer service I have ever worked with. They work so well with everyone! They answer every question and explain everything in detail. Their emails and communication are very clear. They are pretty much family because they treat you so well. I love how they do auto enrolment for every student that goes to Exceleration, so that once you sign up your child is automatically enrolled for both Spring and Summer it makes it so easy you don't have to worry about if you'll get your child in the summer classes they are automatically enrolled! There are just too many great and positive things I can say about this place. The staff are so good with the kids. I know without a doubt that the coaches and staff care so much about the kids they're always working with to improve each student. I love how if one of my children misses the next class she attends the coaches ask her how she's been, what she was up to, why she missed, etc. They really do care about the kids. It is so nice to know that they are cared for that they aren't just a pacheck. I've been to places that that is how I felt my child wasn't important but here we have never ever felt that way! We LOVE Exceleration!! We are in our 4th season with them, and leave every week feeling like they worked hard and learned a lot. Coming from an extensive tumbling and cheer background myself, I am super picky with where to send my own children. We tried out many gyms before finding Excel, and have been so happy with them. They run classes efficiently, no wasted time standing around. Each child is pushed on their own individual level, instead of being held back by the class. Such an amazing gym! My daughter has been going to Exceleration for just over a year and has improved SO MUCH! She went to another gym for two years and didn't progress much at all, but then she went over to Exceleration and improved so quickly. She only had a back walkover when she switched gyms and now she has her standing tuck! She loves her coaches and has so much fun. The staff is incredible and so caring towards their students.
