This course has been going downhill for a few years now. Today was the worst. Greens are inconsistent, fairways are full of weeds with a ton of dead areas and the practice area is trash. The rates do not justify the experience. I will not be going back until this is corrected. This used to be a point of pride in Syracuse.

Update- Played a couple weeks ago and the course was back in great shape, actually shot my best round ever that day. Thank you for addressing the issues, I will be back.

Third time I’ve been to the range only to be turned away by the teenager at the front desk because “sorry we’re closed”. Do y’all like making money or what? Maybe post your actual hours somewhere? I liked coming here to practice but going to save myself the time and go further down the road to a course that actually acts like they like having paying customers.

Glen Eagle is a lovely course, and the price is great for it being so conveniently located! Registration was a breeze, and time on the course was enjoyed. However, there is one major thing that keeps me from giving this course give stars. We had someone in our party of four who was unable to play because his wife was in active labor. When we talked with the guy at check-in to see if the fee could be waived for him, given the life-altering circumstances, he said, "Well, it *is* Saturday morning golf..." and went ahead and charged the fee. Which is fine, I get it, we agreed to terms at checkout. But it does send a certain kind of message. Well, your wife is having your baby as we speak but... golf. It was incredibly off-putting. I get if like, bro just decided he didn't want to show for tee time because he hit snooze or had a hangover. But not even a shred of compassion was given. Not even a "Oh no! That's so exciting, we wish him well, but unfortunately... blah blah." I hate to sum up what would have otherwise been a great experience with only two stars, but it really felt like it came down to profit over people at Glen Eagle. It will not be our first, or second, or third pick of golf courses in the future.

Decent course good layout upkeep can be spotty. Played it many times unfortunately today they decided to put a six some out of very poor golfers not much fun 3 1/2 hours for nine holes.

Be very careful about booking online, they will charge you whether or not you show up, regardless whether you cancel beforehand. I literally got COVID, tested positive that day, called to cancel booking and was made aware they were charging in full anyways and for everyone on the booking. 4 players in total (2 juniors, 1 adult and 1 senior) all charged same ADULT green fees despite the juniors being Youth on Course members ($5/rd) and the tee time during YOC availability. It's fraud, actually!

I’ve played Glen Eagle several times and generally enjoy the course, but I was really disappointed by their no-show policy. If you can’t make a tee time and don’t cancel at least 24 hours in advance, they’ll charge you a full-price walking fee. I booked the tee time within that window so had no way to change or cancel. Post covid golf has course setting up some real sketchy policies. I understand that its busy but that seems a little over the top.

Life happens, and sometimes plans change last minute. A more reasonable window (like 12 hours) would go a long way toward making this policy feel fair and customer-friendly. Unfortunately, this experience has me thinking twice about booking here again.

I am very disappointed with my most recent experience at Glen Eagle. I came over after work to use their practice facility on Tuesday April 15 at around 4:40 pm without realizing the range would be closing at 5 pm. (There was no signage posted) the young lady in the pro shop sold me a large bucket without saying a word about the range closing early. Almost as soon as I finished stretching another young lady (I’m assuming in high school) came out to where I was on the range and picked up my bucket of balls without saying a single word only slightly muttering under her breath that she needed to take my bucket. She only explained what was happening with quite a bit of attitude when I asked what was going on. When I went to get refunded for this frustrating situation the young lady in the pro shop gave me attitude. Overall terrible experience. I will no longer be playing this course or using its facilities and I recommend you do the same

Love this course! I don't get to golf very often, but when I do it's nice to go to Glen Eagle. It's Scottish style is a fun and unique change of pace. I am not the greatest golfer, but have been treated well there every time I go. Even the busy days don't feel overly crowded or rushed. Other golfers I met there are nice folks and staff is great.

They cancelled our tee time without ever calling us. We drove 45 minutes to play, just to get told AT CHECK IN, that we couldn’t play.

When asked why we didn’t receive a call, they said “we’re not going to call everyone who booked a tee time.” WHAT ARE YOU GETTING PAID FOR??????????????

This used to be the best public course in utah. — Now, Customer service sucks, the course conditions suck, and they do not care.

Very disappointed in my experience today. I have played Glen Eagle several times and have mostly enjoyed it. I wish the course was kept in better condition (tee boxes with mostly weeds and really patchy grass, etc.), but not a bad course. What I’m disappointed in is the staff.

To start I tried to call book a tee time and was very rudely told that it would need to be done online, even offered to pay over the phone since I wasn’t able to book online at the time. I was basically told they couldn’t help me at all. Annoying but not a huge deal.

As we were playing as a twosome scramble we were approached very rudely to play with the group in front of us for “pace of play”. Keep in mind we were through 4 holes in under 30 minutes, this includes waiting for the group of 4 walking players that were playing slow ahead of the twosome in front of us. I told them my concerns with my young son being with the group that was smoking in front of us, but was told that I “needed to learn to play with others” and that “I wasn’t in the same cart, so it’s fine”. I asked if they talked to the group that was walking and slowing down play, they responded with “no”. They didn’t want to listen or understand, just wanted to argue. Wasn’t at all about pace of play, they just wanted all foursomes instead of having a twosome.

Ended up leaving after 9 (paid for 18) as a result of the very things I was concerned about. The twosome we played with was very kind, nothing against them whatsoever. Just didn’t want my young son to deal with second hand smoke. Won’t be coming back after this experience.

As a note the first 4 holes took us under 30 minutes, the final 5 took over 1:45 after being pushed into a foursome. Total 9 holes took over 2:20.

Update: the company is now trying to gaslight and make this problem about us and not their service. Don’t dismiss my claim that an employee told us that our pace should be three hours, there are three witnesses to that claim. Nobody played close enough for us to play through. When they did get close enough to us because your arrogant staff member TREVIN, who is the staff member that clearly isn’t properly trained, wanted to escalate the situation, we let them play through. The only reason we finished at just over 4 hours is there was a 20 minute delay with your staff and we let another group play through. We did not take 2 and half on the front, we were at 2 hours on the dot. Check the email I sent to the owner directly. I sent the email upon completing the round from my car. It was barely over 4 hours. I have the receipts and wouldn’t mind posting those to prove it too. It is unethical to flat out lie and refuse to take accountability. You should read the rest of your reviews. There is a trend with your customers getting harassed by your staff about pace of play. You need to recognize that just because someone calls doesn’t mean they are in the right or justified. If they wanted to play quicker, they could have just as easily scheduled an earlier time. There are always things we can do to avoid situations, but to suggest we are alone the problem is asinine. I will not be returning to your course, and I will be sure that anyone I know who is considering playing your course to rethink it because of your unwillingness to take action. I sent you a very professional email outlining my experience and concerns and that didn’t warrant a response, you’d rather gaslight me on a public forum. I asked for one action to remedy the situation: a phone call. You couldn’t or wouldn’t do that because of your own pride. Was that really worth it?

I won’t be back to golf at Glen Eagle. We had a foursome that was harassed twice for pace of play despite finishing 9 in just under two hours and 18 in 4 hours. Trevin, was completely unprofessional and claimed he has never seen a foursome golf longer than 3 hours for 18 holes. We asked for a refund for the back 9 after being harassed for the second time, but he refused and only offered us a rain check. Since we won’t be coming back, we ended up finishing the round. I asked for the owners contact information and he gave me a first name. Seriously, the whole situation should have been avoidable. I get that it’s annoying when you have to wait, but our pace of play wasn’t even longer than average.

The golf pro here is completely unprofessional. He expected us to keep a pace of 3 hours for 18 holes with a foursome and when we explained that a foursome should take closer to 4 hours he called us crazy. Horrible experience and will not golf here again.

This course is just terrible all around. The fairways are just hills so no matter where you hit the ball you will be on an uphill or downhill slope. The club house is even worse you want to eat something at the turn well that’s not allowed and they tell you just go to the next hole. Also don’t expect a rain check no matter the situation.

We have played Glen Eagle since the year it opened. Have seen it go through many changes over the years. Some good some bad. Sadly the latest change has driven us away. Almost impossible to get tee times for a group of people without jumping through a bunch of hoops. Also raised there prices again without any noticeable inprovements to the course. We'll miss it but they need to rethink their polices and prices.

Very disappointed! I came out with my son to have some fun. It was a little busy, and the the group in front of us was very slow. It was a husband and a wife, and the lady was clearly learning, but it was fine. Every hole we had to wait to tee off because of the group ahead of us, and the group behind us was starting to get mad at me. They were so rude that they started playing 50 yards behind us. I finally confronted them and let them know there was no possible way we could go any faster. Anyway I was so frustrated we left 2 holes early. I found out at the club house that the rude group behind me was the owner and his friends. That being said I will never give my money to Glen eagle ever again. Shame on the pompous owner for ignoring his own golf etiquette rules. He apparently would rather impress his rich golf buddies then care about new business. I will never come back!!!!

18 holes of golf was supposed to start at 7:30am
Rain delay. Started at 8am.
Fine.

So we golf 9 holes, grab a breakfast burrito, let the golfers behind us go ahead. Then started our second half.

An employee comes out to tell us to grab our golf balls and leave the premises or skip a hole because we were behind schedule.

We didn’t want to skip a hole. Shouldn’t have to. Plus we were behind schedule because of the frost delay, not because our breakfast burrito stop. And on top of it, we let the golfers before us go ahead of us, so everything should have been fine.

There wasn’t a line of golfers waiting behind us (anymore than the usual).

I went to the club house to complain. They acknowledged the frost delay but said we still needed to leave the course.

So I asked for my money back and they refused.

I will never golf here again. Been coming for 15 years and I have never been treated like this. We weren’t drinking, we weren’t lagging between holes. The staffs behavior was very bizarre and out of line.

They pack tee times in as tight as they can so we are all golfing on top of each other, then have the audacity to blame it on us grabbing a burrito when it was really the frost delay.

Stop packing us in so tight and give us 5-10 minutes in between the front and back 9 so we can grab refreshments!

I will be disputing the charge, leaving bad reviews as often as possible.

The course itself is a challenging style course. You can be rewarded with long straight tee shots, because most holes are not extremely long. You can also find yourself in the wetlands with anything wayward off the tee. The greens are in immaculate shape and roll fast and true. The fairways are missing grass in many places especially around the greens, probably due to the drought.

Honestly my favorite course on the northern Wasatch front. Definitely a links inspired course. This is not a 100% links course but you can see glimpses of links golf in every hole. Does have championship black tees. And if I remember right it has hosted the utah amateur a few times. Next too mount ogden, probably one of the hardest courses. And long from the blacks when I played last shortest par 3 was 196 yards.
