Amazing gym with good vibes, friendly staff willing to help you with anything you need. Can be crowed depending on the time of day but none the less everyone is very friendly and will give you time on a machine/bench. Good gym it even has a little health fitness store inside of it where you can buy protein, headphones, pre-workout and a ton of other gym necessities. Don't let the other sour reviews spoil a good friendly gym.

Gym is messy as no one in the St. George / Utah culture can clean up after themselves in a public setting...it's a Utah thing. Freakin' gym slobs. Weights all over the ground everywhere. Inconsiderate robots. Ask me, do I lie? I submit that I do not.

NEVER give access to your bank acct to Utah, white-collar criminals either. Just pre-pay a 1-yr membership as you go, you'll be happy you did. Utah is #1 for fraud per capita, look it up. Mitt 'fixed' the Olympics because of the fraud before he came in. Fraud. Fraud alert. Beware of fraud in Utah. Utah = Fraud. Fraud is Utah. What else?....oh yeah, beware of getting defrauded in Utah. You've. Been. Warned.

Summit Gym is worth the little extra money, the people are cool and the pool and courts are great!

I have had an excellent experience at the golds gym in st.george. I have a vacation home here and I am only here for about 8 weeks of the year. They were very flexible re. my membership plan. The facility is extensive and well maintained.

Great place to workout. Never do contract with them ever I paid off each month and was pleased. After the contract ended I was still being charged each month so I spent about 2 hours trying to get my money back.

Friendly staff and great nursery. My twins love going in, and the day care staff are super friendly and knew their names and mine right away. Super clean. Great variety of classes, with knowledgeable teachers who inspire, teach, and motivate you to keep going!

I had a friend a a while back that told me the whore stories of trying to cancel his contract with golds gym. I promised myself to stay away.
A few years later my wife, fiancé at the time, had been going there. She informed me they no longer had a contract. She convinced me to get a membership there. A few months later I moved to California for work, she had to commute back and forth to St. George bring a nurse. I told her to cancel the membership as we hadn't been using it. She did forget for over a month when she was in Utah. They wouldn't let her cancel on the phone. She finally got in to cancel. They have a one month wait period I have no idea how or why. 7 months passed and she was still being charged. She called in and they had no record of her canceling. How convenient for them.

This place is overly dishonest and doesn't have any customer service. I have lost complete faith in gyms because of this sour experience. I know there has been many other people that have experienced same and similar issues with golds gym.

A simple google search will show our problems our nation wide at many other locations as well.

I feel sad so many have posted contract complaints with Gold's Gym. I am a senior citizen who loves going there. Our class is the best one could have, and the facility is always clean and in great condition. The offer now is $9.99 per month with no contract for those who might reconsider. I've noticed a big increase in people coming, and there is plenty of room for all. This is a place to come for relief from stress and to generally feel good. It is so important to take care of ones health. It seems from my past experience with Gold's Gym that contracts are managed by the home account office in Orem, Utah, and sometimes misunderstandings can happen with their personnel. Hang in there if you feel violated. Report your problems with them to the state Division of Consumer Services, and maybe they can help you get it worked out. But the gym experience is excellent when you can get your contract problems understood and worked out. It is an excellent gym, and the staff have been extremely helpful. I love it, too!

I have to say the only reason I go to this gym, is location. If you are a go getter and want to be there at 0500, you can forget it. I have been there at 0500, I will tell you it is really frustrating having to wait for them to get there. It has happened so many times I gave up on 0500. I have to say it is really unprofessional having to call and wake them up. It should be the other way around! You can see the motivation is just not there. And last they are not very consistent with their holiday schedule you really have to keep an eye out for it, as well as on it. The other day there was, no less than five cars waiting for them to open, only to find out the hours had changed for the day.

Blood sweat and tears to cancel a membership here. You have to give 3 months written notice, also be sure to request a confirmation of your written cancellation or they will say they lost it, or it was invalid. Took me over 9 months to cancel AFTER my 2 year contract was up. This is after being an faithful, active, paying member with a trainer though there trainer program. It is sad that such a nice gym has to resort to such crappy tactics to get money. Please head over to Anytime or Desert Palms, hell buy a bowflex just don't walk in the doors of Gold's, trust me.
