The room scheduling is too congested. As you’re leaving and putting your shoes back on, staff are rushing others in, creating a trip hazard. This location is not suitable for individuals with mobility or health concerns who may struggle to keep up with the pace of a fast food restaurant style scheduling. I am so blessed I had the opportunity to find out the personality of this place during a complimentary visit instead of signing up and then finding out after the "Outrageous cancellation requirements" - wow! Its in about every negative review how bad people are being financially surprised :-(
BTW, I was hopping and stumbling around when the manager came rushing in with the other customers. She didn’t seem to care about my situation or any ADA recommendations. Although the manager did say “excuse me” while I was trying to balance on one foot and get my shoe on, she didn’t wait for me to finish. No amount of gaslighting will change the memory of my experience, so I won’t be returning to this location again.

This account was supposed to be closed in July. They never closed it, nor did they notate the account accordingly. After seeing an attempt to process autopay in August, I called and attempted to cancel again. They told me I couldn’t cancel until paid in full for the last month, which should have been cancelled. I made payment and assumed they’d follow through with the cancellation. They have proceeded to run payment for September and October. And just told me over the phone that they won’t cancel my membership until I’ve paid for the past few months in which they failed to cancel my membership. She read aloud the notes on my account that I called in August saying “you thought the account was closed. Then we informed you we will cancel the account when you’re paid in full” I paid them up to date and assumed they’d do as they promised. She then put me on hold without saying so, and I called back to follow up. She told me that according to the notes I only ever called to inform them I thought the account was closed, and there’s no record of me ever REQUESTING to cancel. All the while laughing at the situation before hanging up on me again.

Update: after disputing the transactions with my bank, they agreed to do what they said was impossible, and cancelled my membership without collecting more bogus charges first. They’re clearly intentionally operating a scam with their cancellations. Avoid if you can. If they won’t cancel your membership, contact your bank.

Update 2: after they agreed to cancel my membership, they attempted to run my card for 2 months again today and have stopped replying when I try to get confirmation of the cancellation.

I love this place, but it is the staff that really makes it. Melissa goes out of her way to create a nice experience for her customers- everything from tea to generous promotions to events like breathwork sessions. I am always greeted by a smile and interesting conversation. I also appreciate that this specific location is quite reasonably priced for everything you get- I’ve been coming here since the Spring, and have been relieved to find that I have not been bamboozled by surprise costs. This is a SCAM!!! I have been trying to cancel my membership for months, they told me I had to go in person or request in writing online. I no longer live near sugarhouse so I have repeatedly requested online for my membership to be canceled with NO response. I have tried calling and texting again with NO response. I was warned by previous members how impossible it was to cancel a membership. I’ve now paid for a membership for 5 months I have not been able to use with no way of being able to cancel it.

This gym uses pre-recorded workout routines that are updated regularly. The routines are pretty good and positve. The workouts happen in individual saunas that you can schedule from your phone. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The facility is very clean and well kept. Membership is about sixty dollars a month, with half-off for family member. I like the yoga routines. This gym is good for introverts who prefer to work out alone.

I love HotWorx!! I just joined and the workouts I’ve done so far are amazing! My goal is to do all of them. This workout fits my schedule and I feel fantastic! I have been going to Hotworx for about a month, and I LOVE it. I've tried many different workouts and gyms, and this has been one of my favorite experiences ever.

The science of infared saunas is pretty incredible. I love getting a good sweat in every day, with less time and effort than a typical workout. I have an autoimmune disorder, and I know the heat is doing wonders for my lymphatic system and supporting my liver in the detox process.

Not only is the workout fantastic, but the staff is wonderful, too. They made the signup process quick and easy, and have made me feel very welcome. They put on frequent events (sound baths, twerking classes!) - even though I'm often working out alone, it still gives me a sense of community.

If you're thinking about trying Hotworx - give it a go! The price is great, the classes are challenging but fun, and the heat gives you an other-worldly experience. I feel strong, cleansed, and empowered every time I leave the studio.

I love hotworx! ive been going for a little over a week now and the free session is what got me hooked! there are multiple different classes you can book from, and i usually do a cardio sesh, then a regular class. the classes are pretty hard and i love that there are modifications shown and you can change the sauna temp to what you like. the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and they are great at recommending what classes they think you would like! the only thing that needs work is the functionality of the app, but that’s a corporate issue, so nothing they can do about it here. overall, absolutely a killer workout and HOT

Started working out at Hotworx Sugarhouse about 3 months ago and now I doubt I'll be able to go workout with out IR saunas! It took a session or two to get used to the heat but now I hardly notice- the heat and IR combination makes for an intense workout but a very easy recovery. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating (when they aren't busy keeping the equipment nice n clean) and have pretty solid advice for you when you're lost about which class to start with!

This place is AMAZING! My husband and I have been going here for a couple of months now and we can't get enough. They have a variety of virtually instructed classes that you can choose from, but the best part is that the infrared energy and high-heat inside the saunas offers a bunch of benefits for circulation, skin, and also helps you burn more calories in less time. Called to cancel my membership today. I was aware of the 60 day notice but was never informed the notice doesn’t start until the next billing cycle. Disappointed in the customer service I received, representative was not knowledgeable in the policy. When I signed up I was never informed of the 60 policy starting with a new billing cycle. If there is a policy you need to let your customers know what the policy is and how it works. Not to mention the facility is not as clean as the other gyms I have attended and the tapes that are played just play on a cycle which doesn’t create a personal or appealing experience to customers. Thank you for cancelling my policy. I will wait until the end of March 2022 for it to actually end. Extremely disappointed.

Just tried the free first workout. The experience as a whole wasn't for me, but the place seemed clean and well maintained. Allie at the front desk was also friendly and not pushy at all when I said I wasn't interested in signing up.

My only complaint is that the sauna pods are a little small - I don't see 3 people fitting comfortably, especially for a class that involves stretching. I felt a bit cramped even by myself. Other than that, if you like an extremely sweaty workout, this is a great place for it.

Predatory cancellation practices override all positive aspects of HotWorx. When signing up in October I asked about cancelation policy and was told by representative Ashley 30-day notice in person was required to cancel. I came in to cancel in May, a few days after being charged the monthly fee, and was told I would be charged 2 more times to cancel or could pay 2 monthly fees right then. I did rely on the verbal communication when signing up.
The workouts are good; the place is clean, and staff is pleasant. Booking time slots is easy but needs to be preplanned as most convenient times get taken fast. The company’s matts are mandatory and pricey.

I had to cancel my Vasa membership!!! I only went there for their saunas, but they never opened it ever since covid hit and when I heard about this place I was hooked. The infrared sauna here at HOTWORX is giving me life again after having 8 kids.

I also had rosacea on my cheeks after my last pregnancy and I couldn’t get rid of it but the infrared sauna cleared it up in just a couple days.

I was super excited when i heard this place was opening up. I went in and got all set up with the hopes of them opening in February the date kept getting pushed then COVID happened. Unfortunately I was moving out of state for the summer and left in May. I never went in and got fully set up or anything so I just didn’t think any thing of it and figured I could get started when i moved back in November. You can imagine my shock when i saw three months worth $130+ taken out of my bank account since May. I called to see what was up and was told sorry there’s nothing we can do and that they just started billing people once it opened up regardless if they had been in or not. I’m just upset that they couldn’t refund me anything seemings how I never saw the place even finished or did one work out there.

This place has been a life-saver especially coming out of quarentine. They have 24 hr access which is convenient, and everything is very well kept and very clean. Kasi and the staff are super awesome to work with, even the owner is very friendly and down to earth.
I like that the gym spaces are are big enough for you and a friend or two, but its still very private which let's you really focus. On top of that, there are many benifits to working in their infared saunas; you sweat more in less time really maximizing your results, but it does make you feel fresher when you are done.
Each workout is directed by a virtual guide which makes it very easy to follow along and very ever workout they show forms for: beginner, intermediate, and expert level participants.
I signed up immediately and have been going 3 or 4 times a week. Their app lets you know whats available and the rest you do yourself.
I also signed my mom and sister up and they have really loved it.

I LOVE this place. I can be dripping in sweat, be in and out in 15 minutes (or longer if you want to take more classes), and the recovery time on my muscles is sooo much better. The staff is awesome and always willing to help out. It is SO SO worth it. The first week, I lost 6 pounds!! You cant ask for more than that!

They also will tell you there is no contract but you are locked in for three months plus 60 notice (5months total)

Desperate for your money. I rec trying out more than one class and know from above for what you’re getting into.

This studio is 24 hour access however you sign up for scheduled class times as they run on a loop. Essentially you will be doing the same workout until the videos change.

I love trying new fitness studios and classes but joining HOTWORX was a mistake and NOT worth it.
