Pool and weights are great. Only issue I have is with the rock climbing wall. Most setters are students, and it shows

Spacious, meticulously clean, not often crowded. Parking is not usually available, as the lots fill up immediately on class days.

Attended : 5 college 4 day conference swim meet, located on the Utah Tech Campus. Deck space is spacious, and clean. Spectator is good - no chair backs tho. Hot tub on deck available for swimmers, lighting is AMAZING with total window coverage on one side and the ventilation was very good. No chlorine smell. My one complaint: online ticketing for the event - easy. Proof of full event pass and entering on a daily basis for parents of swimmers - TERRIBLE. One wrist band or pass for a full 4 day pass - NEEDED to cut out wasted tickets, different wrist bands for each day, system not working one day for scanning. One laminated tag for the entire event - simplified!!

I would understand operating with limited hours during holidays. But closing down the gym is just insane, you have an active student body with different schedules, closing during daytime is just unacceptable. I showed up during mlk day and observed at least 10 students in 5 kinutes trying to force the locked door. What a waste of time.

Just focusing on the gym aspect of the building. Everything is super nice when it comes to the machines and the dumbbells. Except itβs not big enough and is always crowded. The cable machines are pitiful and for it being the facility it is there should be way better ones and more than just 2 small ones. If you are an avid gym goer this is an ok place but not great.

Beautiful facility for a swim meet! BUT there is only one bathroom stall in the menβs restroom for probably 700-1000 total spectators. There more bathrooms in the building but one one for the spectators.

I really love this gym and think it is a great resource to the students. I do wish there was either a membership that nonstudents could buy or have the option of a student could bring a guest in. My husband is not enrolled at Dixie but it's such a hassle not being able to bring him in with me to the hpc.

I would give 5 stars except the only way to get to my fitness class is by going up six flights of stairs? The stairs induce my fear of heights since they are open in the center and spiral up. I wonder how disabled persons or older students can get up to the higher floors?

Came here for a tournament. 3 days I toiled away in this water. IT HURTS. IT BURNS. Don't stay in the building for too long, trust me on this. The water gets to your lungs if you are working too hard. Be careful.

The level 2 of the gym is never available because of a class that has small number of students attending. They need to stop raising the prices to attend this University when they keep taking away the things they raised the prices for like access to the HPC.

They have a wide variety of tools and equipment here, and if you're a member of the community and have the opportunity to participate in an activity here, I'd highly recommend. There aren't any community passes unfortunately, but they do occasionally have summer classes and activities here.
For students, Id recommend at least a visit so you can see everything available. They have many different fitness and FAST classes, workout equipment, climbing wall, and, of course, the pool.
Everything is clean and well kept, and it has pretty much everything you could need, with the added benefit of being free!

Absolutely beautiful new facility! I thought it was a gym only. But, was told it houses nursing classes as well as other physical science rooms. That does make sense. But, at the same time, other schools have the whole building dedicated as a gymnasium only. Still, it is an amazing place!

Great facility but DSU students have been done a disservice by having no gym on Sunday. Why would a gym be closed on Sunday? Most students only have time on the weekends for working out or recreation. Separation of church and state is nonexistent for some reason at this PUBLIC university. Makes no sense.

Who the hell closes a gym on a Sunday, this is the most outrageous thing I've ever heard in my entire life, I mean the least you could do is give us a little taste of the gym on a good ole Sunday afternoon, my roid cycle isn't going to go very well without a good gym sesh. I mean what am I supposed to do use my couch as a bench press or something, this is just outrageous.

Beautiful facility, brand new and looks gorgeous! Easy to view the swimmers. The large floor to ceiling windows provide nice natural light. The shades are drawn for the afternoon/evening sun so swimmers don't star at the sun. I hope we have more meets here.
If you go, there is a smoothie bar on the second floor that serves great drinks and bowls. Try one, you won't be disappointed.

Really nice facility. Only problem is that it is closed on Sunday. This a huge complaint for many students attending DSU. Dixie state is the only college I know of that closes down on Sunday. This really negatively effects the students who live on campus. the weekend is when most student have free time to go to the gym or spend time recreating. Why spend million upon millions of dollars on a facility that is closed for half of the weekend? For whatever odd reason it seems like the college does not want to utilize this nice new building.

We were here for a COVID cautious swim meet. All spectators were outside pn the beautiful sloping grass. Swimmers used the fantastic new pool. Beautiful and well suited to a small meet. The facility could hold a State meet with 400 plus swimmers easily.

This is a great facility overall, I really enjoy all that is available as far as equipment and areas. The only problem that makes this building so much less accessible is that it's closed on Sunday. For students with very busy weeks M-F, Saturday and Sunday are two of the best days to use it. Being closed on Sunday makes it only available for one of the two days.
Also the locker rooms are very small as well as only having 3 showers! That's insane for a facility this size and I've witnessed many people who have to wait to shower which really sucks.
