Read the reviews. I wish I had throughly. I have a 4 yr old with a speech delay. The owner Natalie let me know on our trial session it was no biggie, she had other kids that also did. 3 classes in and her true colors came out. She does not have the patience for children with any type of disabilities. (See other reviews)… She is very passive aggressive and has no problem publicly shaming children and adults in front of others. She isn’t professional in the slightest and lacks communication. I highly do not recommend this studio for a fun tumbling experience especially if your child cannot communicate fully. An absolute shame, my daughter LOVED the few classes she attended but unfortunately because of how she was treated we chose to not return.

This is daughter's first year in dance. But I love that the teacher pays attention to her students. She noticed my daughter being bored in the certain clas she got enrolled in, but then let her try a trial class of a more upbeat class. My daughter ended up living the class more and doing so much better.

Inspire Dance Academy has been a wonderful experience for our family, especially our daughter the over past 3.5 years. From the moment we joined, it was evident that this was a special place for budding dancers. Our daughter has explored a variety of styles, including jazz, cheer, tumbling, ballet, tap, but so many other genres are offered; each taught by passionate and skilled instructors.
Mrs. Natalie and her team have created an environment that feels like a family, encouraging each student to shine! Watching our daughter perform on stage is pure joy; she truly comes alive when she moves. The confidence and skills she has developed at IDA have been remarkable.
The sense of community and support among families is another highlight, making every recital and event a celebration of talent and hard work. We are grateful to be part of this dance family and look forward to many more years of growth and joy at Inspire Dance Academy!

Inspire is Amazing. Natalie is always eager to help you with any concerns you have. She gets back to you in a very timely manner. My daughter is always wanting to go every week. She loves it and always is actually learning unlike most dance companies we have tried. I highly recommend Inspire Dance Company.

This is my daughter’s first year dancing anywhere. The only reason I’m leaving 4 stars is because she’s only been in the cheer class at IDA for a few weeks so we’re still learning things! But so far, Natalie has been amazing. My daughter is very connected to me and has a hard time leaving me, but Natalie is always right there to distract her and get her engaged in classes. She always comes out with a huge smile! I feel like everything is communicated well any questions are always answered. So far, we love it at IDA!

Personally not a fan of the “discipline” implemented in the younger class. My 2 year old came out of class crying. When I asked what was wrong, I was told she didn’t participate so she didn’t get a treat. She didn’t comprehend that it was because of her actions but as all the other kids walked out with a sucker she just felt excluded. She is a baby and still learning instructions. I think this could have been handled in a better way. It would have been nice to be informed sooner so I could grab her before she got to see all the other kids get treats intentionally leaving her out. Her feelings were very hurt. This may work for older kids but not 2 year olds.

Edit: After much reflection on our experience with IDA, I feel it's important to share some thoughts.
IDA wasn’t always like this—in fact, our earlier experiences were quite different. But something shifted during the 2024–2025 season. The toxic, mean-girl behavior became more pronounced, and I personally experienced moments of being treated poorly in public settings. That made me question how my child might be treated behind closed doors.
As I opened up about this, I discovered that many other moms felt the same way. The mental stress and anxiety my dancer endured this past season were entirely avoidable—and it starts at the top. The issues we encountered were numerous, but what hurt the most was being part of a studio that seemed to prioritize embarrassment and punishment over support and growth. It felt more like a military boot camp than a dance studio—where even using the wrong terminology could lead to public shaming.
IDA has a handbook of rules and policies, but those policies seem to change on a dime. While it’s understandable that businesses need to adapt, how those changes are communicated matters. If you want to keep your clients, you need to handle things professionally. Unfortunately, the way Natalie conducts business—both in emails and in person—has been far from professional. It’s hard to justify paying $400 a month in tuition when the communication is riddled with sarcasm and disrespect. For example, saying things like, “AGAIN, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A WRISTBAND, YOUR BUTT DOES NOT PASS GO!” is not only unprofessional—it should have been my first red flag three seasons ago.
Toward the end of the season, Natalie even called a parent meeting to discuss the “regression” of students in a particular class. I’m not exaggerating when I say that for the first 27 minutes, she did nothing but speak negatively about a teacher she claimed to have just fired. That kind of behavior is not leadership—it’s deflection and blame.
I paid this studio a significant amount of money for a service—to teach my child dance—not to treat her like she was on Dance Moms. And before anyone says, “Well, that’s just the dance world,” let me be clear: it’s not like this everywhere. Other studios foster environments where dancers are believed in, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
Dancers deserve to be in a place that lifts them up—not one that tears them down with comments like, “Are you trying to make me look bad?” simply because they weren’t on relevé.
I could go on for another hour talking about 98% of her staff and how they are just as mean and disrespectful as Natalie, but honestly, I don't have time for that. There is a laundry list of things I could point out here on what happened and what you should be on the lookout for, but what was said above should be enough for you to determine if this is the right studio for your family.
If nothing mentioned in this review—or in other negative reviews—bothers you, then you may find that this studio does have some amazing mothers and talented dancers. But for us, the emotional cost far outweighed the benefits.

Heart breaking review because IDA was our home for so long!
My youngest had a great time here for the most part. My oldest not so much this last season. In the end this wasn’t the best fit for us but the group of dancers really become family and dance beautifully together.

My daughter has been dancing with Inspire since she was about 3 years old. She started at one of the ABC daycares and has since transferred to the studio classes.
My daughter absolutely loves everything here. She loves the challenges that the classes provide, she comes home excited to practice the things she learns, and she loves her teachers and classmates. The teachers and students are all very uplifting and supportive of each other.
She has been on competition teams at IDA for three years now and loves it and will continue to tryout for their teams.
Natalie, Cindy and all of the coaches/teachers are great about teaching the kids respect, discipline and kindness on top of their dance curriculum.
As parents who also danced and played competitive sports through college etc., my husband and I love the way the studio is ran and talk about it often, we feel that they set the kids up for success no matter if they continue to dance or not.

I'm like superrr late to writing this review but I am just thinking about it now so here is why I give this dance studio 1 star. So I signed my 2 year old daughter up for a dance class here at this studio. My poor girl had such bad separation anxiety since she was a baby. She only recently has gotten over that. But anyway, I go in the first day day with my husband to drop my daughter off. I was so incredibly anxious because I was so worried about my daughter's separation anxiety. We get inside and notice there isn't really an area where parents could sit. So I ask if we could just hang out and watch standing up. The lady I was talking to said that parents are a distraction to the students and that they try and have their studio be like a school drop off situation in order to prepare the kids for school. Okay so I don't even know these people and they just expect me to drop off my little girl not to mention the fact that my daughter began to freak out in an emotional break down. It's not like I had to stay for every dance class but maybe for the just first few so that my daughter could feel comfortable?! I start trying to reassure my daughter that she will be fine. That she is okay. That we will be back. My daughter is hysterical and causing a huge scene with genuine terror on her face. So the dance teacher lady really thinks that me staying is more distracting than my daughter in full melt down mode?! Me and my husband try to leave after butting heads with this lady who insists it's gonna work out. I'm telling the lady that my daughter is not gonna calm down. My husband and I try to make it out the door but my daughter is clutching onto us for dear life trying to stop us from leaving her. I end up just walking out the door so we can wean her off us slowly. My husband is in there for a minute trying to calm our daughter down. It isn't working. I walk back in very flustered at this point. I talk to my husband inside and we agree to just leave our daughter and wait outside and door and listen to see what happens. As we are trying to leave, my daughter is grabbing onto us for dear life as we try to gently push her off. Then this dance teacher lady HAS THE NERVE to say, "see now she's more upset because she thought you were gonna stay and now you are leaving.' NO M'AM, she never thought we were gonna stay. She always thought we were gonna leave and us hanging around for a little bit didn't scare her more we were just trying to calm her down. My daughter was so young. She didn't need to prepare for school, she needed her mom and dad. My husband, me and my daughter go back to the car. I start sobbing and I never cry. But the sheer audacity of the lady to belittle me and insult me as a mother hurt. Also the teacher's sheer lack of compassion and grace and kindness towards my daughter was like a knife in my heart. But the bitter icing on the cake is that when I reached out Via email trying to get my money back I get nothing, or little to nothing. I think they gave me back a small small sum but I had paid a lot for the deposit and the first month of dance class. The dance teacher lady basically insinuated we leave that day. My daughter wanted to be in dance class and have fun but no mercy was given to her. Another thing to note is that as soon as I saw the 1 or 2 teachers outside greeting everyone I just got an icky vibe. You know like the mean girl vibe? Just a plastic fakeness. So yah, I don't recommend this place.

The instructor, Miss Natalie, verbally shamed my 4-year-old daughter in front of all of her students. My daughter is neurodivergent and just wanted to have fun tumbling. Instead she got traumatized because she was different from other kids. NEVER going back. And if your child is "different", find a different place to take them.

If you are looking for someone with professional-grade, "we're going to go into dancing for life" quality, then Inspire is amazing. But for us, we just wanted a calm tumbling group for our 4 year old to go to. This is not that.
There are a lot of contracts. If you miss more than 1 day (and they still have class over Fall/Spring Break) you can be kicked out. If you don't put your hair back in a pony tail, you get reprimanded. There are so many rules and I get 5-6 texts/emails weekly about what my child is supposed to do. I'm a full time working mom. My child is not planning on doing this professionally. I just wanted a place for her to play and learn some tumbling skills. Not this uptight.
It's especially difficult because my child has severe sensory processing disorder and does not like tight clothes or her hair up in tight buns/updos. But I was told that if Natalie didn't approve, she could be asked to leave.
So in conclusion, if you want something intense, this is great. If you're looking for something chill/for fun, don't come here. Find another place.

We love IDA!!! She was in Natalie's class at daycare, and a few years later, we returned to her studio. Natalie has an excellent way to connect with the kids and teaches them so much more than dancing, but also discipline, and respect, and her classes are fun. She is dedicated as well as the other teachers, and I can feel the positive atmosphere and warm welcome when you walk into her studio. A positive experience and %100 recommended.

Natalie and her team have changed my families life. My kids ADORE her. She teaches techniques in such a fun way that the kids truly retain the information (pinch your pennies 😅) She is firm enough that the kids don't get away with stuff but also the kindest person I know. She would do anything for anyone. She always has the kids best interests at heart ❤️!

She also teaches dance at the daycare which is MAJOR convenient so that I can work and my girls still get to do activities.

UPDATE:
Ms. Natalie was great with the kids but they recently hired a young teacher/coach. The new coach is rude and didn’t listen to the kids when they were in pain. The main coach wasn’t always available to observe new teachers. Plus $80 for once a week is a steep price.
We signed our girls up last year and they have enjoyed it immensely. The teachers are knowledgeable and keep track of the child’s progress. It’s just an excellent studio with great communication about what’s going on. Excellent studio!
