Karl Malone should be ashamed to have his name associated with this facility. We arrived for a VB tournament at 7:00 am and by 8:00 am there was no soap in the bathrooms. Garbage cans were partially full. When I returned to the bathrooms there was soap but obviously it was watered down. Garbage cans were never emptied throughout the day. The KMTC must be begging VBClubs to compete here because there have got to be better venues than this one across the Wasatch Front.

I play volleyball there from time to time and also watch my cousin play tournaments and it's a nice big facility the only thing that they need to do better is moping or polishing the floors I've seen too many injuries because the floor was not properly taken care of for sporting events.

The courts were fine, but the bathrooms are disgusting and falling apart. We had a two day tournament with hundreds of people in the building and the bathrooms were never cleaned. They just left a stack of toilet paper on the shelf at the start of the tournament. The stalls were falling apart too. We had two people get stuck in one of the stalls because the lock wouldn’t work properly, another stall was coming detached from the wall, and the toilet was not anchored down properly. Really gross!! With hundreds of people paying to use the facility they could have at least had it cleaned once. During the two days. There were so many people it literally had a line all day and it was never cleaned once.

Everyone associated with this facility has always been great. That being said, there needs to be some major changes. It’s understandable that it’s an older facility and things might be a little worn out, but the facility is filthy, not dirty, filthy. There are inner city rec centers that are cleaner than this facility. I don’t understand how year after year it has continued to stay so dirty and never seems to get cleaned up. Some elbow grease could go a long way. The bathrooms are broken down and gross. The floors are disgusting. You can barely even see court lines. I just don’t understand how it is in such disrepair. If funds are tight, rally some people together that would be willing to help clean the facility because something’s got to change, it’s an incredibly depressing environment.

This place should not be hosting volleyball tournaments. The equipment is low quality and not in good shape. The volleyball lines are light and difficult to see. There’s not enough room to serve, and the one line was super close to the wall. The water fountain is broken. The venue itself is dirty and rundown. The restrooms are filthy and only one functional urinal in the men’s restroom. My wife said the women’s restroom smelled like vomit both days. There were no paper towels and the toilet paper was just sitting on top of the dispensers. There was a container catching a roof leak, and one of the window cages was hanging by a single bolt and looked dangerous. I see responses from the owner from a year ago saying things were going to be fixed or updated and that clearly hasn’t happened.

I was shocked walking into this facility. This facility is not well kept. Water was dripping on the courts and no air circulation. Some courts had floor boards that moved or dipped. Safety nets were free standing soccer nets.

The facility is not maintained very well. The garbage was overflowing from the previous day, toilet paper was placed on top of the holders, out of paper towels and one sink worked. The make shift fix for the leak in the roof was creative but not the safest. This training center needs some major TLC and an adult to maintain it, not the high school kids taking money at the door while staring at their phones.
You would think with Karl Malone's name on the building that this place would be a lot nicer. (the photo is the roof leak. Notice the plastic bin with a cut out for the hose to help drain, the hose runs across to the wall then out the window to drain.)

Yes, the facilities are a dumpster fire just like others have said, but the running and operation of the leagues are much worse.
Signed up a 2010 team to play futsal. We get put into 2010 bracket where half the teams are 2009 or older teams. We weren't notified about this change or given the option to pull our team and find somewhere else to play.
Play starts we have have 3 games from the end of December until the middle of March, literally a month between games. Then we have 5 games in the last two weeks of March including a double header that started the first game at 8pm.
Game play was ridiculous because the officials are giving different explanations about the rules from game to game. When asked for clarification on rules I was told, "I don't know."
We have played at Timpanogas Indoor, Sport City and PEAC. All three of the locations are superior in facilities organization and game play.

I have been to several volleyball tournaments. This place needs some care. The floors are terrible, walls have pieces missing from them, and the bathrooms are ridiculous. This place is in dire need of help and updates. We’ve been driving here for a couple of years from Idaho to play in volleyball tournaments. The ceiling leaks. There is a Rubbermaid in the rafters to catch water. The floors need severely refinished, and the bathrooms are always disgusting and don’t get cleaned. The soap containers are full of water and always out of paper towels and toilet paper. There are holes in the walls. They should not be charging spectators or players to be here. My opinion would be to only run two courts for volleyball and cut down on how many people are here due to the state of the bathrooms and amount of room in the facility.

This place is a hot mess!!

Honestly surprised there aren’t worse reviews here. This facility is disgusting. From garbage all over the lobby, unkept bathrooms, and equipment all over the facility, I’m honestly surprised our players haven’t been injured from equipment lying around the courts.

There is zero consistency, one night nets may be up, other there’s nothing other than chairs for an out of bounds. There are no employees walking around the facility or to make sure things are clean. Balls flying everywhere (I feel bad for the people paying for private lessons because half the time their session is interrupted).

Good luck trying to find which court you’re playing on, no help for teams on site. I’ve never seen anyone from the facility there. The refs are below average and half the time sit on the side rather than moving with the players.

The main lobby is full of construction supplies, there’s all sorts of random things lying around for people to trip over and get injured. One of the water fountains is barely hanging on the wall. I could go on…

Over the years, my son has played in a lot of tournaments here. The refs are average, and the score keepers are rarely accurate, so keep an eye on them. The facility has seen better days, too—it’s time for an overhaul! The floors are filthy, many (if not all) of the hoops are bent, and some of the windows are missing curtains (court #3 specifically) which creates a blinding effect for spectators and players.

Been here a few times for volleyball tournaments. It’s a little run down on the inside, bathrooms are small and are not kept up throughout the day. Parking isn’t too bad, there is street parking as well as behind the bldg at the little swimming pool. But I love that there is more space to sit than other gyms that hold tournaments. This is a big year round facility for basketball, volleyball, and futsal soccer courts. We come for futsal during the winter. For what we pay for the season, I would have expected more. There is NO ventilation so it's hot, humid, and smells. The women's bathroom has had a "broken" sing on one of the toilet stalls since this season started (November 2022). Also, the filter for the water bottle refill has always been flashing red for it to be replaced. The building doesn't seem to be managed very well.

Great place for the youth to improve their Basketball skills and to be a part of a team that IF coached correctly could help influence them for the better for the rest of their life!!.

Pretty easy to get to right next to the Lehi Rec Center and Pool. Parking at the Karl Malone Facility is tight as they have 3 basketball gyms inside so lots of people coming and going. There is parking at the Rec center if needed. Not much street parking. If all basketball games are going it’s pretty loud inside and sometimes difficult to know which whistles are for which games.

Karl Malone training center is poorly managed when it comes to events. They host the Halloween party on 10.31.21 However the entire Lehi Police as well as the Lehi fire department showed up and shut it down. The event got shut down because too many cars driving throughout the residential area and making lots of noice peeling off burning tires and people yelling and screaming. The following morning doing my morning walk around the neighborhood after the event I saw a neighbor picking up broken beer and alcohol bottles as well as beer can bottles from his lawn I even saw him picking up a mens ripped durty white t-shirt. He said imagine if my kids came out to the front lawn to play on their bare feet. Would have been horrible. He said I'm going to start getting signatures and lets take it to the city council for discussion.

The managers are the most inconsiderate and disrespectful people out there. Despite being located in a residential neighborhood they continue to have parties and blast the music extremely loud. Houses and families for many blocks can hear this. They do nothing about it. Despite being told countless times during each event. City ordinance says quiet time is 10pm. They don't adhere to that. Often having kid events going on to midnight. If u need to wake up and go to work u want be able to sleep. Your kids will never be able to sleep on a school night. They are thoughtless to operate this type of business in a residential neighborhood. They hosts parties where they don't have enough parking to accomodate so cars are continual parked in neighbors anything they need to do. These issues have been ongoing since they were built. They do nothing about it. They don't intend to. They have no respect for their neighbors. They give Karl Malone a bad name. There response is to kick me out of my house when they have a party by putting me in a hotel. Why don't they go the hotel.

I was really confused when I arrived here for my sons bball tournament. $10.00 at the door and we get a metal chair to sit in? I expected a way larger and way nicer facility because of the name and the city. The app says which court the teams play on, but none of the courts are numbered??? 3 of my kids play basketball here as part of Club Utah and the League. It is a great facility for basketball leagues and tournaments. It is also very accessible quickly within Lehi. It makes running the kids to practice very easy. The parking can be troublesome at times, that is my only complaint. The facility and its restrooms have been clean every time I have visited.
