The facility is amazing and the employees are nice my only complaint is the young woman with red hair and glasses racially profiling my son and his group of friends he works out with, she stated they are sneaking people in that are underage, which they aren’t doing whatsoever the same instance has happened multiple times even after they got their membership. I understand she could’ve confronted them respectfully but she did so rude and in a very racist manner taking them to the security desk and saying they are being recorded. My son and his friends handled it well and respectfully but she still kicked them out very rudely. She is on a power trip and I am sure she doesn’t even get paid enough to tyrant these kids. She needs to be out in check and needs to learn manners and respect, if I had her name I would’ve it put on this review too.

You guys need to update your schedule. It shows that you guys are open till 8:00pm today, Saturday 11/8 and you are not open. My son is very disappointed in the dishonesty. He loves going here to swim and was super bummed ☹️ we still enjoy your center though.

Me and my family had a membership to go over here all summer, and at first it was great, but now they messed it up. The membership isn't even worth it anymore. The "open plunge" hours are only actually open for two hours and I was kicked out after walking over there, expecting to be able to go swimming.

I’ve never had any issues with the pool but then it’s been a couple years since I’ve been. I decided to try out the fitness center bc it has a steam/sauna room and OMG I guess you get what you pay for, for $8 day pass the locker room is sooooo out of date things are broken all over, the showers are literally the same showers as being in jail!! You push a button to start it and it doesn’t even stay on for a minute the whole locker room smells old. You have to share the steam/sauna with the guys!!! Other facilities I’ve been to the women get their own sauna/steam room that’s in the locker room. The steam Room looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in awhile and it has a smell to it as well.
The fitness area is just ok it’s small and could also use an upgrade

This place is turning into a joke!! We're members since 2011 paying month after month. They take automatic payments puntually out of your bank account. They never fail doing it! They've increased the payment many times of course, because we've been members since 2011 like I mentioned before. But they do whatever they want, without any consideration. Today 08/17/25 I had 2 hours of possible swimming and I arrived at the facility and there were signs posted on the doors/windows saying they were closed, that the pool was at max capacity. Which it was all a lie! And the indoor pool totally in dark, when on Google it said that pool is open, doesn't specify or details anything. So you save the trip from coming all the way from wherever you're to find out they're closed! This makes me so angry, because they've reduced the operation hours, they took down one of the jacuzzis., but they will take your money and increased prices no matter what!!! Think twice about enrolling here to a bad service 🤔 👎 👎 👎

This is not the first time this happened. But it’s the first time I talked to the front desk about it. Yesterday my wife and I visited the facility because it has a nice steam room and it also has a questionably nice hot tub.
When we went to the hot tub we saw one of the facility managers talking to the only person in the hot tub. The person in the hot tub was wearing a weighted vest and curling two HUGE dumbbells. My wife and I decided to wait until they were done talking before we got into the hot tub.
After they were done talking the manger left and the guy in the hot tub was doing lung kicks and push up’s and standing in the center of the hot tub curling these HUGE dumbbells. He was also live streaming all of this on his phone with the phone pointed towards the slide where young kids are. We also had to avoid being seen on his phone. My wife doesn’t want strangers seeing her body on the internet. All of this made us extremely uncomfortable.
When I went to the front desk to talk to them about this I spoke with the lifeguard manager I think. I thought she was the main manger. She was EXTREMELY nice and receptive to this issue. She said they have gotten a ton of complaints but she’s not the aquatics manager so there was nothing she could do about it. She said the guy working out does this all of the time and hangs out in the hot tub for hours every day. She then called the aquatics manager. He was actually the guy we saw talking to the guy in the hot tub.
This is where my one star rating comes in. I’d actually prefer to give it no stars. When I told this manger about how uncomfortable we felt in the hot tub because the guy was literally doing lung kicks that were barely missing us, pushups where one of his legs did hit my wife and taking up more than half the hot tub curling HUGE dumbbells, the manager didn’t think any of this was a problem. He said you’re allowed to lift weights and allowed to live stream on your phone.
Literally, never in my entire life have I seen or been to a facility where you’re allowed to strenuously work out with weights and do hard core stretching in a hot tub. It was such a bizarre conversation. I mentioned how the other manager said there complaints and he was basically like so what.
Seriously, please ask the gentleman not to do this while other people are in the hot tub. It’s not an unfair request. If the sign says no horse playing in the hot tub I would think that would also cover lifting and stretching like you’re doing a dance routine. We paid to come there and the guy in the hot tub was acting like this hot tub was his personal work out area. The manger acted like he was more entitled than us to enjoy the hot tub.
I can’t stress enough how weird it was that he was allowed to workout in the hot tub. And how weird it was that the manger looked at me like I was being crazy for asking him to do something about it.
So, be careful. If you’re going to this facility and you’re going to use the hot tub you’re probably going to have to do deal with this person. Because apparently he’s in the hot tub every day all day lifting weights and making people feel uncomfortable.

Used to come here as a teen it was awesome it’s gone down hill. Too many rules quit coddling the kids and let them play. What happened to the color coordinated flags on the high dive? Now I have to sit behind a bunch of kids too scared to jump while at the bottom for a half hour without it mattering what level you’re jumping off. Waste of time flag method was better and less jumbled up. Sad to see a childhood place ruined.

First time at this place and the indoor pool was pretty grimy and dirty looking (In desperate need of a good scrub). I found floating hair balls and a band-aid while I was swimming too (gross). The icing on the cake was when I asked the lifeguard when they would be doing their next "pool check" (like the rec center in Murray does, throughout the day) and they said that they don't do that (double gross).

One of the lifeguards was literally falling asleep on his platform. Said something to three other lifeguards and was told "we can't pull him off the rotation because it's not time yet". This place didn't seem to have any grown up lifeguards or employees. We even emailed their so-called "aquatics safety supervisor" but didn't get a response.

The other lifeguards did not care that he was falling asleep on his platform...laughed as if safety was a joke.

Overall the facility is nice. The changing rooms did not have working fans and got super hot. A lot of different options with indoor and outdoor pools.

While we were here swimming a woman pulled out an alcoholic beverage and said her kids must have been drinking them because she had 4 and only one was left. We reported it. Security came found the open can with some still in it. All they did was make her dump the rest. This is appalling! When we asked they said she was of legal age to be drinking so it was fine. We have laws prohibiting open containers in public not to mention that she assumed her underage children had been drinking them. How this was handled makes me sad and angry. We won’t be returning even though we had a good time.

I personally say 5 stars. Because the kids that work there are super nice. But if I was to ever go back it would be for my kids to swim and have fun. It's the biggest recreation center I've ever seen, with multiple pools, slides, diving boards including a high dive with two different levels, steam room, sauna, gym, etc. I was a pleasantly surprised to find that they had lockers that were programmable and allowed you to feel secure with leaving your stuff in them, and without needing to bring your own lock. I would keep coming here, again and again. Only drawback? They don't Honor the county recreation center pass, stating that they are a independent facility. But, perhaps that's why it's so much better here?

The pools are good. But the rest of the facility is run down. 3 of the 4 sinks in the ladies room are broken. They have been broken for months. We tell them but they don't fix them. The exercise class rooms are to hot and the weight and workout rooms are freezing. They just spent money on a new front counter while everything else is deteriorating. I would have used the suggestion box but there was no paper or pen.

I’m guessing the higher rating is based on summer experiences as it is severely over priced for the small, older, poorly-ventilated, and packed indoor pool. West Jordan, Magna, and South Jordan rec pools are far better and less expensive. Charging non-swimming parents is super annoying too.

It’s ok but I ended up going to a regular gym and cancelling here. The hours on Sunday were bad and often the swim lanes were closed for high school. It became problematic to my schedule. Further more now they lock you in to a membership for a year because they know it sucks. They only have enough lifeguards for one pool meaning if you swim laps you have to swim past every kid and floater in the pool. Total rip off now.

This fitness center used to be great, but it's been declining due to the management's poor decisions. Despite the facility making millions each year, the quality of services has deteriorated. Since COVID, they've shortened their hours—closing at 5 PM instead of 10 PM on Saturdays, and at 5 PM instead of 6 PM on Sundays.

It's clear the budget could accommodate more staff, but instead, the money is wasted on unnecessary features no one asked for. The entrance gate, for instance, is slow and often malfunctions. Upgrading to a more efficient system, like those used at Japan's train stations, would be a better investment.

Additionally, locking the doors over 30 minutes before closing time is unacceptable. Members should be allowed to fit in a short workout, swim, or steam session. This decline in service quality is making me seriously consider canceling or downgrading my membership.

Love coming to the splash pad here. They have a good amount of parking and the prices are great. They even have veterans discount. I do love that we can bring the whole outdoor setup. Canopy, chairs, table, lunch, and cooler full of ice-cold water. There are plenty of bathrooms. They have a big ol' water playground, then a pool with an updated parate play area. They also have an indoor pool with a nice size slide. Beware, I always lose my sense of smell with the indoor pools due to the chemicals they use for the pool. I'm not complaining. Very disappointing even moreso for a Saturday. Entire Main kiddie attraction was off, so was the flower sprinkler, only one of the diving boards was not blocked off. Go to the snack bar and they have no Coca-Cola nor Dr Pepper. Nothing on the web page saying that the kids attraction was out. There were tons of birthday parties and because half of everything was closed they were crammed into a single pool. Walked around also and there's so many disorganized plastic barriers everywhere, it made it look like everything was under construction. Had to go to the Oval for a soda, and the front desk sent me downstairs to a vending machine that was also out. Came back up and there is a snack bar behind the from desk. Rang Bell 4 times, why even have a bell because I had to go and get the front desk attention anyways.

For what I would have thought was Olympic level showcase of SLC facilities and training grounds, seemed run down, disorganized, and almost like they could barely keep the lights on. I've been to the oval years ago for skating and curling, this is the first time for the pool, which if it were working might be good, but now I'm not sure I'll return to either.

Allowing the pool to be used for both recreational swimming and swim lessons at the same time. The pool is very crowded. There were people in the pool playing basketball, using all the space so the teacher kept having to move around. I pay private lessons and my kids didn't even have a lane to practice their lesson in. I shouldn't have to pay the price that I'm paying if they are not going to get enough space to swim. I've been a member at this rec center for years. Once people saw there were others swimming in the pool, more people came in.

Sunday July 7th, we paid to get in and found our way to the women's dressing/locker room. After using the bathroom we found out there was no working water in the sink area. Thankfully I had water and sanitizer. Truly gross that so many ppl entered the pool with unclean hands.

Such a fun place for the whole family. The play area for the kids had two slides that don't end up in the deep end of the pool like most outdoor swimming pools. Meaning kids can enjoy the slide. The pool area also started at 1ft so little ones can enjoy the pool area. A lot of shades, chairs/tables and more. Lifeguards everywhere were alert and whistled when rules weren't being followed. They have music playing which was a plus for us.

Always a good time when we're here unfortunately, it's becoming way to crowded lately, so we're exploring other county pools.

Took the grandkids!! They had a blast. There are picnic tables and loungers to keep us comfortable out of the water!

Crowded hot tub dirty with hairs floating in it, too much chemical in the lap pool, does not accept county rec passes and staff is snooty. Security is not very secure and locker room smelled like puke. The steam room is always nice though but needs to be cleaned the seats and tile is always really dirty.

I purchased a punch card for water aerobics last August, and since then they have changed their system, and they have no record of my purchase. So, my 20 punch pass card was not longer useful. The supervisor was not accommodating at all. I asked if she would put $15.00 of my punch card, but I was told that "we can only go forward." There was no record of me attending water aerobics in March, and even with the validation of the instructor, the supervisor was unreasonable and unyielding.
Good thing they have great instructors, or I probably would not come back.
Tragic.
What's $15.00 and a happy patron to them.

I've been taking my daughters to their swim school for over a year now and I've always had issues with their systems when it comes to online registration. When reaching out to their Aquatic Program Supervisor, she never responds! I even send emails asking her to respond and she still doesn't. So frustrating!!! What is the point of listing her as a point of contact? Kopfc needs to list an alternative POC. Also, some of their swim instructions are not well-trained. The only reason that I keep taking my girls there because it's close to home. Huge improvement is needed from their program supervisor and the swim instructors!

My son is taking swimming lessons which have been fantastic. However the instructors have cancelled 3 times which is not a problem. Getting a refund for the cancelled sessions seems impossible. The first one was cancelled in April and we still have not received a refund for it. This is even after asking about it a few times.
