This has happened twice now in the past 3 weeks. Very frustrating to receive an email hours before your tee time that the course due to rain in previous days is walking only. Doesn’t give me or my group anytime to make different golf plans for that day. Getting a weekend tee time in Utah typically has to be done 7 days in advance. Never heard of a course in Utah shutting down carts due too much moisture in the soil. I understand a course can do whatever they want, but come on there has to be a better way!!

Worst golf course I have ever played in Utah. Paid $100 for 18 for 2 players with a cart and a tee time at 10:30. Arrived at 9:30 to hit the driving range. The driving range is closed! What golf course closes their driving range until 11 in the summer. So we needed to chip and putt for an hour on a practice green with only 4 holes and no flags and 10 other golfers. Waited on the first 6 holes throughout until finally the group in from let us play through. Arrived at the the 11th tee and groups are stacked 3 deep.

**this is an edit from last years review when I tried to give them benefit of the doubt...my new year, same old horrible service.

I've grown up playing this course and it's a great track. However, the staff is aloof and couldn't care less if their customers return or not and/or if they have a good experience. I entered a tournament, that was delayed a week due to weather. When I called to withdraw they stated they would credit me for a later tournament. I stated that I did not want a credit as I was joining a different men's league and likely wouldn't play many Saturdays. They stated they would refund my credit card. I waited 3 days and nothing came, so I called again only to be told that there was no record of my prior call.
The employee once again stated they would write my name down and tell the pro. The next day, I emailed the course to ensure they had the info and ask when my credit would arrive. 2 days later, I have yet to receive any kind of a reply.

So. I went in to the course to talk to them. I was told they’ve been too busy to get to my credit. I asked to take care of it right then and was told that they had customers and were too busy and I’d have to come back or call on Monday. Simply put the worst experience ever!!!

I will not return to the course for a round, a range session or anything else.

I am still in shock about Nate’s review. I happened to be present for the onslaught of anger and hostility that was expressed when he was in the pro shop. What I saw was two teenage kids who handled themselves very professionally and tried to assist to the best of their ability while being subjected to an unreasonable amount of anger. I have been going to lakeside for years and have never had anything but exceptional service I recommend the golf course and pro shop to everyone! I and most of the guys I work with are members of men’s league there and we love it! I can tell you as someone who witnessed the encounter lakeside employees showed great customer service. Lastly I might suggest taking to visa about the time it can take to post a refund. I am willing to bet that the customer service phone call will be far worse

Course in great shape this early in season. Course flat and walkable. What detracted from round is the 3 some 2 groups ahead we caught up to on the back nine were impossibly slow. No ranger. Front nine 1:40 back over 3h. Ugh!

I shot one under but the tee boxes had lots of dirt and not level at all. The grass that was there was sparce.
The greens are eaten up with ball marks. The cup looked as though it hadn’t been changed in weeks. The grass was growing down into the hole.
This course is not worth paying the money you have to pay.

Round was great!! The person in the pro shop was awesome. Knowing it was Labor Day expected to be busy. Play was slow with the group in front of us. All and all a great experience as always. Course was top notch. I play golf Saturday and Sunday every week. This course is one of the best in northern Utah. Can’t wait to play again!!

Played 18 holes. It was a nicely kept course without noticeable defects in the fairways. Tee boxes all looked to be in good condition. Only complaint would be the cottonwood trees “snowing” everywhere, but unfortunately that’s just a fact of life during June in Utah. Staff was friendly and helpful and the range was nicely kept too. I’d golf at Lakeside again.

Horrible golfing experience for women! When playing on the course, a old man will follow you around and watch you play. Approached my group a couple times to comment on our pace/gear/... Literally felt like everything we did was wrong. One of my group members decided not to play because of how awkward they felt with this guy constantly watching us. Not ever going back!

I will give it a 4…. Wonderful course. That being said, doing construction on the 16th hole…. Expressed my concern about leaving their cart in the line of the hole…. All they said was, everyone else hits it over us… where as I said I’m not that good…. Then they stated I’m playing this course because of their work, where as I replied you are working because I’m playing this course. I never leave google reviews, but I feel like my experience should be shared. I had a tee time booked with 2 of my business partners in the afternoon. We called 7 days before and explained that one of the 2 gentleman may or may not attend, but plan on 3. We arrived and we were rudely told that only 2 of us could golf because they paired us up with another pair.

We tried to explain to the employee who was working how we worked out the details a week ago but nothing came of it. He told us that we will “no longer” be golfing today. “Here is your rain check” and to basically get lost and that we are not welcome here.
As a business owner myself I was astonished at how he treated us. I will no longer recommend any of my business partnerships, or clients to golf here again.

Very fun course to play. Very playable for the casual golfer. We played with our 2 young teenage grandkids. We played from the upper green tees and were able to keep pace with the group ahead. The staff in the pro shop very pleasant and accommodating. The course Marshall was very nice to suggest the green tees for us and other tips to help us keep pace. We will be coming back.

I love this golf course for how simple and easy it is. It’s also decently maintained. 3 stars because they don’t replace their scoring card on the carts. Me and my buddy had to play off of someone else’s used play card. They don’t have any pictures or signs on their holes telling you how far each hole is or what it looks like. A fun course, but would be nice to have those visuals.
