Sarah Cobb was my trainer for 20 weeks. She really helped break some bad eating habits I had. She helped me find ways to make sure I was getting protein into my meals. I loved the one on one training each week, it really helped me be accountable for my fitness. I really appreciated the exercise routines she wrote up for me and that she changed them up every 4 weeks. I had a goal to fit into a bridesmaid dress and feel good in it and she helped me nail my goal and the dress was even a bit loose. In addition, I have scoliosis from t1-t5 and Sarah geared my exercises not just for my whole body but for my back and helped strength my body to point that I wasn't in pain every day. It is a great feeling to be able to be pain free and feel good. The gym is very clean and organized. The other trainers are very friendly and don't hesitate to help you whenever you have questions. They are a great team and I would recommend them to anyone that is looking to make a life change and live a better life.

Years later, I went back and requested Cameron as my trainer. I was looking to get strong and be on less pain. Cam is an amazing strength trainer. After having my third child I had to go through months of physical therapy, then I needed strength to be able to even jog. Cameron was able to help me get to a point that I could sprint and even helped me strengthen my back. He pushed me to my limits and helped make me feel like a strong independent woman. Cam has very extensive knowledge in anatomy and physiology and will always explain what muscles the exercises are targeting and why he chooses them. He is quick to adapt his workouts on the spot when something is not working well or caused me pain.

Hitting rock bottom and working your way to a better place looks different for everyone. Thankfully, Lifelong Fitness (LF) has been a significant part of my journey. I discovered LF 10 months ago when I decided to make changes and invest in my personal health and well-being. Ferris Bueller was right: “Life comes at you fast.” Before I knew it, I had paid for a five-year membership at a big-box gym and only gone a handful of times. LF was exactly what I needed to take sustained action and move my physical, mental, and emotional well-being to a healthier place.

At the time of this review, I’m about 10 months into my journey. My fitness level has improved significantly. I have more strength and stamina to do the things I enjoy. My body fat percentage is going down and perhaps most importantly I feel better mentally and emotionally than I have in a long time.

There are many things that have made my experience great, including my initial intake interview with the owner, Griff, the personalized process of selecting a trainer, regular accountability through weekly check-ins and training sessions with my outstanding personal trainer, Christina, developing a crystal-clear vision, tracking and dialing in my nutrition, individualized varied workout plans, and implementing the principles found in The Presence Process, a book by Michael Brown, recommended by Christina. Christina has a great way of walking you through each new workout, encouraging, and tailoring my workouts according my needs and goals. She’s positive, empathetic, relatable, knowledgeable, and tactfully offers that boost of encouragement and accountability, when needed, to help you stay true to the goals you set for yourself.

The gym is just the right size, with 24/7 access, no waiting in line for equipment, no Instagram stars flexing in the mirror, and no big egos. Just regular friendly people prioritizing change, health, and formulas that work. I highly recommend giving Griff at Lifelong Fitness a call. You are worth the investment! When I came to Utah, a priority was finding someone to help me get back into some form of exercise routine. I have had surgeries, and other issues the last few years so I was hesitant to get back into it. I sat down with Nick to start a plan to get back into it. From the start, he was very up front with what we wanted to do. He asked questions about my physical issues as well as my nutrition and then formulated the best plan to achieve the results I was looking for.

The workouts were tough, but I could tell they were strengthening and doing what they were supposed to do. As someone who has done Crossfit and other programs in the past; the attention paid by Nick far surpassed anything you would get in those group settings. The results manifest quicker as well as long as you stick to it.

Nick truly cares about your well being and will motivate you, check on you and constantly ask questions to update your program if needed. He will work with you on your "off days" and push you when you need it! He is knowledgeable across a broad spectrum, of nutrition, fitness, mental health etc. IF you're thinking of starting a personal training program, Nick is definitely someone who will help you achieve your goals!!! I can't stress this enough! Make the decision to better your life!!

I have had an excellent experience at Lifelong Fitness, and it is a crucial part of my health regime. I am impressed by their customized training programs to meet individual training objectives, interests and health needs. I also like the fact that they vary them over time to keep them fresh. No cookie-cutter programs here. For instance, I am of a certain age and have no interest in heavy weights or large muscle gains. Core strength, flexibility, agility and general health are my objectives. I expressed these points at the outset, and my exercise programs have been designed consistently to pursue these targets. Cade, my man has been working with me for just under a year. When I called Griff a year ago I was in a hard place mentally and in the worst shape of my life. I couldn't lift 45 pounds. Cade is helping me establish and maintain fitness and nutrition goals by creating workouts I can easily follow on my own and nutrition goals I can…almost live up to. If you are wondering why I continue to invest in training here, it’s because I have found that having regular coaching sessions ensures I can’t stray too far from a workout routine. I came to lifelong fitness 3 months after a failed back surgery and could barely walk. I didn’t know if I’d be able to do any exercising but knew I had to do Something. I couldn’t just not move the rest of my life without trying everything.
Christina was able to work within my limitations while expanding those limitations. She had helpful instructions I hadn’t learned in all the physical therapy I’d done. I can now lift weights at least 3 times a week and an even doing dead lifts which I never thought would be possible again. I am more functional than I’ve been in years. The vibes here are always friendly, because everyone is going through basically the same thing, just at different levels. You do have to get a trainer in order to get 24/7 access, and while it is somewhat expensive, it is well worth the knowledge and training you receive. True to the name, their mentality is that they give you the tools to keep your body fit and healthy for life. All the trainers are highly educated, and will easily be able to help you reach your goals. Overall, this is a great gym for anyone who is ready to change their life for the better, but needs help getting their.

Griff, the owner, is a super cool guy (even if those biceps are intimidating), and he's always around, usually dragging around monster truck tires on the front lawn. He's one of those guys that wouldn't give you any advice he isn't prepared to do himself, assuming he hasn't already done it.

Long story short: owner great; gym great; expensive, but worth it; really only for those people who are ready to change their lives and live better

I was looking into personal training and went to a couple of gyms before deciding to join this one. The owner, Griff, actually listened to my goals and paired me with a trainer he thought would fit my needs. Nick is my trainer and he's been amazing! I've only been with him for 4 months now, and I've already dropped 10 lbs, down 5% body fat, and am actually stronger than I was before seeing him. I was already lifting for a few years so I was worried about losing strength while losing body fat, but Nick has helped me keep that to a minimum. I just had to trust him and his process. He also keeps me accountable on my work outs and diet, yet is understanding when I fall off the wagon. He's shown me way more exercises than I've learned on my own, and even the ones I thought I was performing correctly, he helped fix my form. That has helped me prevent injury and solved injuries I've gotten on my own from slightly incorrect form. When I can't perform an exercise correctly due to injury or limitations, Nick is great about modifying an exercise. I highly recommend Lifelong Fitness, and Nick if you can get him!

The thing I like about LLFIT more than say a trainer at a public gym is the focus on the nutrition. Tracking and prepping food is a pain and they won't disagree most times, but it is what helps make that Lifelong change that they hang their hat on. Can't recommend working with them enough. If you’re looking for somewhere to begin your health and wellness journey, look no further! I’ve been working with Nick for the last 9mos, and I couldn’t be more impressed with my results, for the work that I have put in( 2-3x a week, mostly 2x).

A little bit about me, I’m 31yrs old. For a living I work construction, I’m constantly on my feet and moving/lifting steel and other heavy raw materials by hand, as well as lots of hand digging several feet into the ground with out assistance from machinery. When I started with nick, I thought I was in decent shape, weighing in at about 211lbs, turns out I wasn’t..

However, with Nicks extensive knowledge, we not only designed a workout regimen that increased my endurance/stamina both in the gym and on the worksite, we’ve been able to creat a clear pathway to the body I’ve always wanted. In doing so I have rediscovered a feeling of youthfulness that I thought was long gone. I’m now able to be active in ways that allow me to pursue both my physical and life goals with confidence. Having lost 30+ lbs, the benefits to my mental and physical health, are not only noticeable to me, but to my family, friends, coworkers and even total strangers that I receive compliments from.

I began working with Griff and Lifelong Fitness close to a decade ago. My wife and I have continued to enjoy training with Lifelong since. While some faces and even the locations have changed, the one thing that has NOT changed is the welcoming, low-key, approachable atmosphere that Griff works to maintain.

"Big Box" gyms can be overwhelming. Intimidating. And feel..."expert level" while not actually being expert level. People more interested in seeing themselves in the gym mirror or using the place as a place to prance around like peacocks. I've been there. I've done that.

I love lifelong fitness! It feels like family when you go in. Always greeted but not ingenuinely. I have trainer Nick, he is great...like really great! Nick knows his stuff. His nutrition and physical science knowledge and how they work together to get the results you want are amazing. I have allergies to the big three...dairy, milk and egg. I have trouble finding quality nutritional supplements that meet my needs and do what my body needs. Nick takes time to research and find exactly what I need to be successful. My body gets board with workouts quickly. I told Nick this and the variety and skill he has is outstanding. Martial arts, yoga (all the yogas!), weightlifting, body building, cardio, but not boring cardio. He is definitely creative! My body is stubborn about losing weight. But I have been able to lose 40 lbs so far! He loves a challenge and that is what he got. Thanks for being great Nick!

I believe everyone should take the time to get personal training like what was offered at this gym. When I signed up I was just using a home gym with limited workouts and movement so my progress wasn't very substantial on my own. Once I came here and started working with Jeff, having workouts tailored and explained to me, and in depth discussions about nutrition and the importance of what and how much food I was putting into my body; the gym became infinitely more valuable and fun for me. The gym here is great, it's a very friendly and encouraging environment since everyone there is focused on improving. I didn't feel like anyone was judging me which I often felt was the opposite at a more public gym (gotta love that social anxiety). Griff, the owner, does a great job at picking out the right trainer for you and is very supportive. I'm very thankful he paired me up with Jeff as he's become a great role model and friend for myself and my fitness goals. I'd recommend this place to anyone who's serious about improving their body.

I trained here for about 6 months. I trained with Jeff, he was easy to work with, and very knowledgeable. The gym is small, but very effective. There are a few things that were very beneficial for me.

1) 24 hour access. This allowed me to train whenever it fit into my schedule.
2) Kids area. There is a small room for that kids could remain in and be reasonably entertained for a short amount of time. This was very useful. I brought my 2 and 4 year old several times in the evening, when the gym was not crowded, and it allowed me to get a quick workout in, when I otherwise wouldn't have been able to.
3) Price. While this is more expensive than a VASA or EOS fitness center, it is a good deal for what you get. I would challenge others to find more affordable 1 on 1 personal training.
4) Flexibility. I had several weeks where I was unable to meet with my trainer. Rather than those missed meetings being 'lost', we simply rescheduled.

I lost about 15 lbs in the first 3 months, then plateaued. I have suffered from knee pain for about 10 years, but after several months of training, I am also to play basketball multiple times a week without knee pain, I haven't been able to do that since I was 28 years old. I saw modest gains in my strength, significant gains in endurance. I am confident that with more dedication, I could have have lost 25 lbs or more, with even larger gains in strength.

I’ve been part of the Lifelong Fitness family for several years now, and I really love going to this gym. Even though I’ve been to other gyms in the past, none have offered me the same level of coaching as Lifelong Fitness.

There was a time when I wasn’t physically fit and doing things such as long hikes or running sounded absolutely miserable to me. However, the training and knowledge I’ve gained from going to this gym has benefited me immensely. As a result, I’m far more confident in myself and my ability to push through mental limitations. 2020 quarantine had me out of shape and I decided I wanted to get back in shape, but I’ve never felt very confident in the gym. I wanted to be more confident in my technique and in designing workouts on my own.

The owner Griff brought me in for a consultation and told me about the different trainers. I don’t think you can go wrong here, they all sound like good trainers, but I went with Nick because it sounded like he would push me outside my comfort zone and focus on proper technique. Nick has been awesome. I would highly highly recommend him. I just completed 20 sessions. We did both dynamic mobility and strength training and I feel a lot better equipped to design my own workout routine and hold my own in the gym now. Nick really pushed me and I’m so glad he did.

I strongly recommend Lifelong Fitness and Nick in particular. It has been fun to be a part of this little community. I never felt the same pressure that often makes me uncomfortable in a traditional gym. Also, there’s not a million TVs to distract you. You can focus on your workout. 5 starts for sure!

I've been training with Cameron at Lifelong for almost a year and I cannot say enough about how much I have benefitted from my time there.

Griff and his staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and working one on one with Cameron has been a lifesaver. Besides being patient and caring, he is detailed and conscientious about making sure that I am doing things correctly and effectively. He asks about my goals and centers my workouts around the things I'm looking to gain and improve.

One of my biggest fears is injuring myself but Cameron is always so careful to make sure that I am learning proper techniques in order to protect me while also increasing my strength and endurance.

This year has been so difficult for most of us and my goals sometimes felt unattainable but Cameron never stopped being encouraging without making me feel guilty when I was struggling. I’ve been a client of Griff Nielson for 17 years and I highly recommend his program. Griff and his trainers are highly motivational, knowledgeable and supportive. Griff continues to incorporate varied exercises and workout types into my regimen even after all this time. I might add that the nutritional consultation is spot on. The nutrition and weight training have really been key to my success. Before LLF, I only did walking/jogging and limited my calories, which is not even in the same realm of effectiveness as Griff’s program.

This gym provides a supportive, family friendly atmosphere and is not over crowded. The age and fitness ability of clients varies greatly so I don’t feel self conscious working out.

I love that at Life Long Fitness they take away the overwhelming weight of figuring out what to do to change your lifestyle. They have a scaffolding in place that will take you from where you are to where you want to be one week at a time. I remember before signing up I had a long conversation with Griff on the phone, he had told me a ton of good information and I was feeling overwhelmed by it. How could I do all that?! Then he said “Remember you won’t have to do all that at once. You just have to do one thing at a time.” I thought I can do one thing.

My trainer Christina has had me take it one step at a time. I’ve found that if you’re willing to put in the effort for each week’s assignment, you look back and find that you’ve improved. I have not been perfect in my efforts, but I have been pretty consistent, and I’ve found that that you don’t need perfection to have progress. Consistent efforts will get you to where you want to be when you have a great support system around you at LLfit to keep you moving in the right direction. So far I’ve lost 25 lbs. I have done a variety of fitness programs at home and with other gyms, even some of my own creation, but nothing has helped me achieve lasting results better than Lifelong Fitness.

Over the past 36 weeks I have developed a habit of daily exercise and personal accountability for everything that goes in my mouth. The result: 31% body fat to 13%!

At first, I was reluctant to purchase this program because of the cost and time commitment, but with Marty Loveless as my personal trainer it was spectacular and totally worth it! Griff Nelson and his staff are professional and non-judgmental. They take individuals where they are and establish a tailored program to help each person achieve what they really want. I my case I am now enabled and excited to live this way for the rest of my life.

I am so glad I decided to make the call to Lifelong Fitness! I spoke to Griff, told him about my concerns (I'm going to be 70) and the fact that I just wanted to learn how to eat healthy and "move" more! He paired me with Netty! I cannot say enough how wonderful she is! I am learning to eat the right kinds of foods, finally! I have learned so much from her about nutrition and how important it is to get up and "move" every single day! Her knowledge and encouragement every week keeps me on track. . Since I have arthritis, she has geared my exercise workout to work for me.
Netty is the best and I highly recommend her & Lifelong Fitness!

Mu husband and I have been going to Lifelong Fitness for just over six months now and have been working with our trainer, Annette (Netty) Johnson. We are both over 50 and we were looking for overall improvements in our health including strength, flexibility, balance and cardio vascular. Netty has created work out plans that have included a variety of exercises to achieve the fitness goals we are aiming towards. We have noticed a significant amount of improvement during the ski season as well as in our overall health. Netty's approach to physical fitness has been just what we needed and we recommend this gym as well as our trainer.

Lifelong Fitness and Annette Johnson training are amazing! We have worked with Annette for over a year and love, love, love it. She is very knowledgeable about both the body and nutrition. Each week she is delightful, encouraging, informative, and has a well prepared workout. Workouts are challenging yet careful to avoid injuries. They include emphasis on both small and large muscle groups. We have come to appreciate her focus on strength, balance, and stretching. It has changed our life and we look forward to our weekly workout so much that we signed up for another year. We completely and wholeheartedly recommend Annette especially for 55 years and up.
