Great gym. Absolutely love getting a pump here. Has an old school feel with a super laid back atmosphere. Everyone is super nice! Lots of great equipment for lifting HEAVY. Love it here.

The owner, Doug, is a great guy and always goes out of his way to say hi and make me feel welcome. Gonna make this gym home base from now on

Cant beat this gym. Absolute best private powerlifting gym in Utah. My training skyrocketed after starting here because of all the equipment they have. Commercial gyms just can't compete

Honestly had high hopes when I signed up here but I have been let down by a troubling amount of errors when it comes to my financial aspects of my membership (and payment after doing some work for an associated business) by the ownership team, along with a very lax attitude towards addressing those issues when they are brought up. They have what you need to train in powerlifting and/or strongman, so they do at least have the basics covered equipment-wise.

There is so much you can do here. The atmosphere was great from the music to how the place was set up. People there will help you if you don't know how to use a piece of equipment. 10/10 would recommend going here, especially if you're a beginner.

Whoever runs this place is horribly rude. when called simply asked for a manager to speak with about doing business with them and they hung up on me and told me to put them on their do not call list.

Recently joined this gym to get some strength training. Been working out for many years and the culture, experience and feeling in this gym is top-notch. Doug and his trainers are really good at working with you, very friendly and personable. Doug is there pretty much every day and not only an amazing person but excellent at guiding you through your goals. Give it a try!

LPB encompasses the saying “You Are Who You Surround Yourself With!” The gym has everything you could possibly need to reach your goals and bust through plateaus, but the priceless elements are the other members! Whatever your goals, there is someone there working towards a similar goal or has traveled a familiar path and would love nothing more than to share their knowledge! I personally train for Strongman and Powerlifting and there’s no shortage of coaches, equipment, accessories, advice or hype (especially when attempting new PRs). You will destroy your old limits here!

I have been a member at this powerlifting gym for over a year now and I can confidently say that it is the best gym I have ever been to. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, always willing to help with form or provide tips for improving strength. The atmosphere is always encouraging and motivating, pushing me to reach new PRs every time I step foot in the gym. I have seen incredible progress in my strength and muscle mass since joining this gym and I credit a big part of that to the amazing trainers and community here. I highly recommend this gym to anyone serious about powerlifting or just looking to improve their strength and fitness overall. :)

If you’re looking for a community to join rather than just another gym, COME HERE!! You’ll never find more success than with a group that wants you to succeed and will teach you every step of the way. Doug has gone above and beyond to create a safe, growth-oriented gym. Hey, he took a tired, overworked mom and helped me break PRs I never thought I could hit. 365 deadlift? Check. Lifelong friends who aren’t afraid to tell you to be better? Double check.

I was initially nervous and intimidated and thought maybe I didn’t belong because everyone was so much stronger than me, BUT that was far from the truth. The members, the trainers and the owners all welcomed me as one of their own. Not once have I felt like I didn’t belong or embarrassed for not fitting into a societal beauty standard. Lions Pride is my home gym and I am so grateful for the friendships and growth I’ve seen since becoming a member! That is not something I’ve experienced in any other commercial or private gym. There is genuinely no gym culture that comes close to LPB!

I've now been coming to Lions for a full year (after 4 years training crossfit) with the goal of building a better bench press, a better squat, and a better deadlift.

I started with a 1 RM on BP @ 245lbs and am now at a 1 RM of 327lbs (and 445lbs in gear to a 4in board).. I started with a 1 RM on squat of 335lbs (2 years removed from knee surgery) and am now at a 1RM of 425lbs... and I started with a 1 RM Deadlift @ 405lbs and have pulled (unassisted) 471.9lbs.... all of this was done through workout planning, proper coaching, and more team encouragement then you can ask for.

This place is a hidden gem of old school iron, new school ideas, and amazing energy that helps you get to your goals!!!!

Been coming here to work with Preston for my gym training. I started my fitness journey not knowing anything and honestly being afraid to be judged or made fun of.

Being overweight and insecure in the gym staring out Preston has always been amazing and kind, never once making me feel uncomfortable or dumb. Always making sure that when we do something it is safe and it is teaching me new skills or just getting me to push my self. He has been a huge reason and positive force in my fitness journey. Always showing me new things or changing things up to keep me engaged. He is kind and reliable never failing to be present, never makes you feel like another client pushed through like a big box gym does, he takes his time to know you and actually cares. Highly would recommend anyone who needs a trainer to work with Preston as he will get you results and get you lifting and fit.

The gym it self is great, equipment is amazing and everyone here is so friendly and kind, no one makes you feel bad or like you are taking up space, everyone is friendly and kind. No one is rude or annoying, equipment is amazing and everyone makes it feel great. Doug and Brandon run a great gym and have awesome trainers like Preston and the others who make it an awesome space to be at!

We all try to go to each others competitions to support and they have some of the best trainers in Utah for sure. We also have a combat gym just across the parking lot that has boxing and jujitsu coaches, yoga, self defense, etc. it’s an amazing community to be a part of and learn from

Excellent fitness trainers and nutrition coaches! They customize workouts and food plans that work for you. Would highly recommend you talk to Bradon Mussleman. He is the best!! Totally different vibe than impersonal gyms. Fellow members cheer each other on, and no meat market feel, so you can focus on you! We love this world class gym. There is a large variety of machines and multiple bench presses and squat bars for powerlifting and body building. After attending another gym for 3 years and little change, I increased 6% muscle mass in 6 months with Brandon at Lion's Pride! That was the same time spent, same # of times a week. I know most have better results than that. But for me, it was empowering! Also, to see my progress with the barbells, that felt good too! Yes, I would highly recommend this gym! Especially if you have some fitness goals you are trying to achieve!

My teenage son has been working out with Brandon for almost 1 year now. As parents, we could not be happier with our experience with Lion’s Pride. Not only has our son’s physical abilities improved, more importantly, his attitude and resoluteness has taken off, and can be seen in other challenges that our son has been up against.
When he started, he was new to the scene and did not have any experience with weightlifting. Brandon took his time to ensure that our son had proper form and understood the proper motions and techniques. 1 year later, his confidence and how he holds himself in has grown tremendously.

One more note: Everyone at the gym has welcomed our son and have been super supportive and encouraging.

Thank you to Brandon and everyone at Lions Pride!

Brandon trained my teenage daughter and son. He is amazing with young people. My daughter had knee surgery and he basically nursed her back into activity. My son has been doing strength and speed and agility training for football. Brandon is super knowledgeable and focused on form. I love that my kids are learning to train the right way with safety in mind. I used to work in the fitness industry and he is hands down one of the best!

I've been going to Lions Pride for a year working with Brandon and it has been amazing. I'm not a traditional power lifter, but I love it here. From increasing my strength and speed to custom tailoring my program, Brandon worked with me to meet my goals and educated me along the way. He has been flexible with my schedule and helped adjust my program through injuries as well. I love the equipment and staff. Everyone encourages you and helps each other. If you are looking to really make a change in your workout, I highly recommend Lions Pride, you won't regret it.

Training with Brandon has been one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made. For the past 15 years I’ve been bouncing from trendy gym to working out on my own. I’ve been fit, but never as fit as I’d like to be. Brandon has shown me how to lift weights properly. He has shown me how to adjust my diet so that I can actually eat instead of starving myself. My strength gains are incredibly impressive. Working out at Lions Pride has given me a lot of confidence. These guys are amazing. I drive 30 minutes to see Brandon three times a week. Definitely worth it.

I’m so glad I started training with Brandon. When I came to Brandon I was fit, but recent weight loss showed I had far less muscle than I thought. I was unable to add any strength or size on my own so I went with Brandon. The gains with Brandon were fast and more than I expected. Brandon is very conscientious and careful about the way he trains and his programming is serious and data driven, not just guessing. Highly recommend.

I could write tons about Lion’s Pride, but I’ll just cut straight to the chase instead: There are really no words for me to properly describe how much this gym and every one of its people have impacted and changed my life, and how much they all mean to me. I’ve learned here what it means to actually be strong - and these lessons I’ve learned and memories I’ve shared with these people will stick with me far after my bones have been ground down, muscles atrophied, and tendons decayed.

I've been coming to Lion's Pride since October of 2021. In this time, I have:

-Rehabbed two herniated discs from an injury I dealt with for nearly 3 years.
-Squatted 600 in single ply, 545 in wraps, and 525 in sleeves.
-Taken my conventional and sumo deadlift from 365 --> 585.
-Fixed my bench form and taken my paused bench from 245 --> 320.
-PR'd my overhead press from 170 --> 210 (225 is there on a good day, I can feel it!)

Realistically, I could've done this at any gym (nor are my numbers anything special.) But it would've taken so much longer and most importantly, I wouldn't feel a part of a family like I do today.

The best part about Lion's Pride Barbell is not the equipment--it is the people and the environment. The one's who thrive here are the people who uplift, inspire, and leave their negativity at the door--but it's a two-way street. You must allow yourself to be uplifted, inspired, and humbled along the way. LPB is a family (a pride, if you will) and we're all misshapen misfits that want to be better at the end of the day. I know I can walk through the door (24/7) and I have people in my corner. You won't find that at an Eos or Vasa!

Doug and Brandon are wonderful owners and inspiring men. Every one of the trainers are highly qualified and produce results. They give back to the community and they are committed to helping people find themselves and create a family. They are vast wells of knowledge and I am so grateful a place like this exists.

This gym is the best!! They have knowledgeable trainers, a wide variety of equipment, and an inspiring atmosphere. My trainer keeps me motivated and keeps things interesting and new, so I’m never bored and I never feel like I’ve hit a wall/plateau. I feel like the training style is sustainable forever and not just another fad workout. They help me build the strength that will sustain and support me as I get older. Although I’ve worked with other trainers in the past, I have never had anyone teach me the techniques and form that I get at Lions Pride. Minor adjustments to common movements have propelled my abilities beyond what I thought I’d ever be capable of. Love it here!
