This yoga studio has become one of my favorite places to be. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and exactly what I need to reset and recharge. Incredible instructors who are knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely tuned in to the needs of their students. The classes are the perfect balance of challenging and grounding, and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in.

I can’t recommend this place enough. Whether you're new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this is such a great space to grow, breathe, and feel supported.

I started coming here three months ago and am hooked! This yoga studio is 100% “Choose your own Adventure”! They have so many different classes and switch it up from time to time it seems. I’ve been enjoying the Hot Pilates class in addition to my yoga practice. There are no airs here. Everyone is so genuinely kind - it’s great! Thank you, Jackie for bringing such great people together - must be something special on your vibration!!

Pro Tip: remember to bring a towel for your car seat after practice! 😅

I visited this studio on the summer solstice for a Fire Element Fusion class led by the owner, Jackie. The space is beautiful and welcoming, as are the staff and people who attend.

Jackie thoughtfully aligned the class with the solstice theme of illumination, leading us through a well-sequenced fusion session with particular attention to postural flow and core work. The class concluded with a lovely guided meditation accompanied by a soothing sound bowl

I highly recommend this studio—and clearly I'm not alone, given that people traveled all the way from Park City just to attend this class!

Tried to attend a class at 4 pm on Friday. Due to traffic I was at the door at 3 minutes past 4. Doors locked . No one to let me in. Really ridiculous that they can't make accomodations for being a few minutes behind.
Definitely won't be trying to attend any other classes here with such poor service and lack of consideration for things that are out of ones control. Thanks Mountain Yoga for wasting my time
In response to your reply. The first class I attended there did not start on time and what's to prevent people from interrupting the class if they need to use the bathroom or leave the room. You need to realize that your policy has unrealistic expectations and flexibility is more friendly than being stubbornly rigid.

From the moment I stepped into this studio, I felt an immediate sense of belonging. The space is warm and welcoming. Every instructor I've practiced with brings their own unique wisdom, and its clear they are not just teaching but also living their practice. What truly sets this studio apart is the community and intention behind everything. Its not just a place to move your body but a place to reconnect with yourself.
I was so inspired by the experience that I decided to enroll in their yoga teacher training program. It is one of the best decisions I've made for myself. The training was deep, supportive and truly life changing. Whether or not you want to teach, Its an incredible journey of self discovery and empowerment.
Highly recommend to anyone in search of a great yoga studio!

My experience here left me feeling bitter and hurt. As somebody that is hard of hearing and fairly nearsighted I have always practiced at the front of yoga classes for 20 years. My practice here was not welcomed where I would get the most out of my practice time. I was kicked out of the studio after I refused to practice in the back corner of the studio where I would hear the instructors gargled voice mixed in with the music and not be able to see the instructor other than a blurred blob. Unfortunately this was not the first time I was chased out of the studio. This time they made certain there was no misunderstanding that I was not welcome. They do get 2 stars instead of one because they do have really good classes.

The hardest part is getting yourself there. Some days I don’t ‘want’ to go, but I NEVER have left a class wishing I hadn’t come. I tried out this yoga studio using their discounted first unlimited month deal. I tried the following classes (all hot): fire, air, water, earth, and pilates. After my month, I decided this studio wasn't for me as I'm looking for power yoga which they don't cater to. However I think what they are aiming to do they are doing well.

The studio self-describes as a place that focuses on "slower movement to create a space for healing" and I think this is an accurate description. Likely because of this approach, I found their most physically challenging class to be pilates. Coming from a power yoga background, I found their most "challenging" yoga classes to be lacking - fire and air. But they do meet the studio's goals while still being a bit more challenging.

The heat and humidity levels in the studio are excellent. Despite not getting the intensity of a workout I was hoping for, I was still sweating a ton by the end of class.

If you are looking for a slower-paced studio, Mountain Yoga Sandy is a great fit!

I've been practicing yoga at MYS for a little over a year now and I really, really love it!
I was looking for something that was just for me, that I might be good at, and that would get me reaching my fitness goals! MYS feels like such a safe space to me these days, everyone is so friendly and encouraging and respectful of peoples practice! Whether class is completely full or you are one of five, the environment is amazing!
I originally chose this place based off reviews I had read and I couldn't be more grateful for the guidance! They also offer childcare certain days of the week and that was huge for a SAHM like myself! My daughter loves coming to yoga just as much as mom does!

I had gotten a small taste of the MANY benefits yoga in general has to offer through a work sponsored program (pre-pandemic). I was interested in pursuing a yoga practice further and outside of the work environment but was involved heavily with other activities and didn't feel like I had the time. My other activities led to a rather brutal ankle injury with a VERY lengthy recovery time, both for my body and my mind. A massage therapist had recommended Mountain Yoga to me and I made sure to "make note" of the recommendation but didn't act on it right away.
Some time later at an all time personal low, with life in general just giving me the business ... I found myself in dire need of an outlet. It was then that I found my courage to try something new and signed up for a trial membership at Mountain Yoga Sandy. I dove in head first for that trial, making sure to try out all of the various class offerings with as many different instructors as I possibly could. I knew after my first class I had found the place for me and that feeling was amplified with each class I took thereafter. (The infrared sauna is also truly incredible... just sayin.)
I've been a regular fixture at the studio for 3 months now and simply cannot fathom the circumstances that would lead that to change. Mountain Yoga is my sanctuary and has given me just sooo much in this short time. I truly lost count but have had the privilege to take classes (and-or workshops) from over a dozen incredible instructors (and counting). ALL of whom are warm, welcoming, genuinely caring individuals who guide your practice to be what YOU need it to be. Yoga at Mountain, thanks to these instructors, will meet you where you're at and there aren't quite words to say how grateful/ thankful I am for it.
Having never done yoga in the heat, I was somewhat nervous about that aspect going in but like many others have said, I kinda can't imagine doing yoga without it now. (That said, their non-heated classes are just as excellent if the heat really isn't for you ;) )
There had been moments in my life before Mountain Yoga where I had felt comfortable-ish with my body OR with my mind, but never BOTH at the same time and never for an extended period of time. One of the greatest gifts Mountain Yoga has given me is just that - the space on my mat to be present and to find true peace, acceptance, and love for both my body and my mind at once and as they are, in a way that feels sustainable for the long-term. In this world of chaos, I am so grateful for my place on my mat at this studio with these incredible instructors.
I'm definitely an introvert by nature and quite shy so the notion of doing something new with so many other strangers also made me nervous. I've found it truly incredible how this is simply just a non-issue, even for someone like me. EVERYONE at the studio, the staff, the instructors, and all the yogi's have been so warm, kind, and supportive. In a FULL class, you sort of forget all of the individuals around you are even there while still feeling the collective, supportive energy of the room.
5 little stars doesn't quite do Mountain Yoga justice in this gal's opinion.

I have enjoyed the update of classes over time. The additional space(s) they’ve acquired. The additional type of classes. Lots of current up to date classes. Even Zoom classes. I really enjoy doing my practice at my pool in the morning. I don’t like doing yoga with a lot of people, so zoom is awesome!
I really enjoy the instructors, they are very professional & they have good sounding voices. I can’t hear very well so, they speak very clear and just loud enough. They give very great instruction too so, you don’t need to look at them constantly if you are a newbie. The $99 month is the way to go. Even if it’s just a couple months you can cancel at any time.

I have been coming to Mountain Yoga Sandy off & on since my dad introduced me to the idea of hot yoga in middle school (so for over 10 years!) - Mountain Yoga is my studio of choice & the one I keep returning back to because of the caliber of classes offered, the loving, kind energy of the staff, and the inclusive environment. During the pandemic they expanded their offerings to virtual & on-demand classes, and I appreciate they still offer these even as things are opening up (attached photo is of me streaming a live class from home) Mats are currently still spaced in-studio which I appreciate to promote social distancing. The workshops offered are a great way to deepen your practice or to gain an understanding of something new as well.

My sister recommended Mountain Yoga after talking to her about my desire to start a regular yoga routine. I have been coming to your studio for about a month and cannot express the level of positive change I have seen in myself already. And it’s only been a month. You’ve really created a warm and welcoming environment with such amazing energy. Each one of your staff members are incredible and are a huge part of the good vibes your place emanates. I instantly felt like I belonged.

I actually meant to tell you while I was there that I appreciate the instructors attentiveness to postures among us students. I’m not sure how others feel about being corrected during the class but I’ll take all I can get. I know good form is hard to achieve initially, but without being told where I can do better, it will take longer than it needs to. I intend on this becoming a long term practice And would like to progress in every way possible.

Also, I’m extremely happy that you offer a Qi Gong class. I’ve been attending for a few weeks now. Toni is so awesome. It’s another practice I’ve always wanted to try but never allowed myself the time or space to pursue it. But now I am. And that is so cool.

So much gratitude for you, each one of your staff, and your wonderful studio!

So many thanks.

I've been coming to Mountain Yoga off and on for over five years. I started when pregnant with my second child and couldn't find a prenatal yoga studio. Not only did the person I talk to say that every instructor could help me modify poses to fit my body while pregnant but they offered kid care during class a few classes a week. So not only could I go to yoga, but I didn't have to figure out what to do with my older child (and there was no TV in the kid room which I found to be a big turn off with the local gym). The classes were heated though and I'd never done heated. Turned out, I loved my first class and started coming twice a week until the day before my son was born. Every instructor was great about explaining how to modify a pose if there was one I wasn't familiar with.

I got back to regular yoga practice two years ago and love it. I love how the heat warms up my muscles and there are all levels of energy depending one which instructor is teaching or the class. They have classes that get you comfortable with yoga, some that will really push your heart rate and some that will stretch out already tired muscles for other activities (excellent class in the summer if you're really active outside). I haven't had a single instructor that has offered me some sort of positive learning experience. Whether that is slowing down to make me focus on engaging my muscles or the class that wants to just kick my butt my giving me a fast-paced flow through poses. Your athletic level doesn't matter here. There is no one judging and everyone else is there to get the most out of the class that fits their needs. I've never walked away from a class feeling like I was less or that I'd never get such and such pose right. I still struggle with so many poses but I've never had an instructor make me feel like I can't get there eventually. And my core muscles are so much stronger then when I started.

Mountain Yoga is more then just a place I exercise, it's a community. Regular students and instructors there are welcoming and ready to help out in any way they can to help each person have a great yoga experience.

When the studio closed for a bit due to covid-19, they were quick to start offering virtual classes and now on demand classes for when a virtual class doesn't work of you. The on demand classes are great but I really miss the community that even the virtual classes have on offer. They currently have both on demand, virtual and in person. I haven't done in person yet again but I'm sure those are still awesome. I do love the virtual classes and the fact that if I have a question there is someone on the other side of the screen that can answer it before or after class still. I love still feeling the energy from the instructor and that even when we're in different homes/states, the movement is connecting us.

My friend DRAGGED me to my first class at Mountain Yoga one year for her birthday. I had no desire to do hot yoga, and couldn't do much of anything! But after class I was amazed at the way I felt and I knew I needed to come back. That was 14 years ago, and I have now developed a relationship with yoga that has enriched my life. The teachers here have grown and progressed over those years, and so have I.

My time on the mat in this studio has centered me, strengthened me, and truly blessed my life. I cannot express all the love in my heart for this studio and this community of yogis. If you're looking for a workout, you've found it. If you're looking for even more, then stay with it.

For years I practiced yoga at local gyms until I finally joined a yoga studio, and I cannot believe the difference in quality. The instructors here are all fantastic and highly qualified. I've progressed and learned more in yoga in the last 6 months than I did in 5 years prior. Hot yoga was definitely an adjustment but now I love it.

Also, the variety of the classes here is incredible. I love having different styles and levels to choose from throughout the week. I've never attended a class that wasn't excellent.

The kids care is also a huge bonus-- can't wait until the COVID situation improves and this opens back up. MYS is being very safe and cautious during COVID, however, and that's something I'm very grateful for.

I have been going to Mountain Yoga since it opened 15+ years ago. Jackie and the staff have always presented an outstanding studio! They have been particularly careful navigating this pandemic and hats off to the entire staff for that. I started going back to live classes in July and do ~3 classes/week on average. I have never felt uncomfortable at all. There is plenty of distance between yogis and people are mindful of what's going on right now. Namaste!!!

I really don’t understand how this studio receives nearly 5 stars. I did not appreciate the community as there was not one. I tried to say hi to those participating before and after class. People would just toss around cold shoulders and act as if they were better than you. The teachers are very blan and boring not really engadged, No inspiring words, no assistance in confusing positions, not great at directing vinyasa’s. When I asked for help the teachers were incompetent and unable to answer my questions. The studio was unwelcoming and small.

I was always hesitant to do yoga because I wasn't 'flexible' enough. A friend ended up taking me to my first hot yoga class (in CA) and I was hooked. I knew I had to find a studio here in UT. I tried 3 different studios simultaneously and by far, Mountain Yoga exceeded my expectations. From the variety of classes, to the amazing teachers, to the community Mountain Yoga provides to their members. Now it's been 5 years and can't recommend this place enough!

I was reluctant to try hot yoga because the thought of being in a hot room with a bunch of sweaty people seemed claustrophobic. My wife had started going and she was the last person I thought would try yoga. She has been attending every other day for about two months and loved it then kept begging me to try it. I finally did and the entire experience was amazing. I did the hot earth class which is easier I guess than the flow or fire class. While it was challenging I feel the sweat pouring out of me was exhilarating. I could breath clearly and the room did not smell. It was very pleasant with plenty of room. The poses were tough but I love how the instructor guided beginners to do easier poses that still got them to stretch. The people at the front including instructors were kind and made the process easy. I just signed up online and they had a one month $29 all you can do yoga deal. I’m going to keep going at least 3 times a week for the month and love this place.

I started my yoga practice at a bikram studio years ago. I LOVE hot yoga, I didn't think I would as I am not a big fan of the heat, or humidity for that matter. The woman who invited me was a friend of mine, and we went in the same car, I understood 1/2 through class. It was her car and that way I could not leave early.
Now years later, at Mountain Yoga, I LOVE the options offered. There are a plethora of 60-90 minute classes of all sorts, and I can take a class basically anytime of day that works for me. I walk in and always feel like I am among friends who care about my success.

Cozy, welcoming, and inspiring.

The class room sizes are large enough to fit a big class but small enough to make it feel cozy.

Every trainer I have taken a class from has been great. In particular, my favorite teacher is Jamie Cavazos and my favorite class is the Mountain - Hot Flow class that she does at 6 am.

I have been going to yoga off and on for over a decade but it never stuck. The culture, vibe, and passion of the teachers and students at Mountain Yoga is addicting. . . so much so that I have decided to make it the focal part of my health routine (instead of the secondary part to my weightlifting routine)

I attended this studio when I had a frozen shoulder. Frozen shoulder -- hot room -- seemed like a good way to cure the problem. It actually helped quite a bit. I tried to get a friend to go with me but they were all too intimidated by the heat and humidity. Since I grew up in the coastal South, I don't even notice the heat or humidity. The instructors were all great. They helped me with alternate postures for the ones that I was unable to do because of limitations. 90 minutes sounds long but surprising how fast it goes.
