I meet with Tyler 2 times a week. He’s a mix of a posture coach, personal trainer, and masseur. He does trigger point therapy and uses a massage gun to work out the kinks in my muscles that come about because of poor posture. The next session he trains me on the proper form for weightlifting workouts that give my body the proper balance among muscle groups and strength to support good posture. These sessions are invaluable. It's really moved the needle for me.
I started bringing my son Phillip, who is also one of my workout partners, to my workout sessions with me to learn the right technique and then we implement at the gym and remind each other of the right form and remind each other when we’re not sitting up straight. We’re working so many muscle groups that I barely worked before, such as hips and back, and this is providing my body with the balance and with increased strength to stand straight. He also helped me configure my car and my home for optimal posture!

I had pretty severe lower back pain for far too long! I had tried chiropractors, physical therapy, massages, hot yoga, stretches, Pilates, you name it- nothing fixed the pain! 😭. After only a handful of visits with Tyler I was a new human!!! I was skeptical at first, just because nothing had worked and for so long, but Tyler’s knowledge and expertise in the fitness and body composition world is unmatched. I can’t say enough positive things about NewStar! I am forever grateful for the work he’s put in to help me heal and for the incredible knowledge he shared along the way! I have chronic issues due to my scoliosis. Tyler has greatly helped me understand the way my body functions, ways to help offset the symptoms. I’ve also implemented a weight training program, and his knowledge of things to do more and less of has been helpful. The training we do in session also is very helpful as we hyper focus on form and doing the movement correctly while specifically targeting the best areas for maximum benefit

I was in a motorcycle accident and injured my shoulder pretty bad! My thought about it was to rest it out and it should go away! The pain never went away. I thought I'll get used to this and I need to adjust my life to this constant pain. My husband told me about NewStar fitness and I decided to give it a try! Each session i went to see Tyler, my shoulder kept feeling better and better! Today my shoulder is pain free and stronger than ever! I'm pretty active in the gym and having Tyler show me the correct posture, and core control in a workout has been a total GAME CHANGER!! If I could give him 10 stars I would!!! Tyler is one of the smartest people I have ever met! He knows how your body moves, why it moves, and what the correct movement is to live comfortably! I live a highly active life style and was injured in January. I went from a little discomforts to full blown pain in my back. So much that I was unable to move or function in my daily life. I went to physical therapy for a while with no relief, I received an MRI....conclusion was that I had several bulging discs. The doctor said that if time didn't fix the pain, surgery would be the best option. I knew that I didn't want to go down the surgery road and I knew that I couldn't live my life in that much pain. In asking and seeking for solutions, I was referred to Tyler. He was a huge blessing in my healing journey. It didn't happen all at once but the pain was consistently reduced with each session. Not only did Tyler get me pain free but he also helped me to become stronger, healthier, and educated me along the way to understand my body and how it works and moves. He is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his work - a delight to work with. We are not meant to live our lives in pain and Tyler helped me to become pain free. I recommend anyone to go and visit with him.

Tyler, the owner, at New Star fitness has been working with me to address issues with my neck and spine. I have been having issues related to symptoms of scoliosis and Tyler was one of the only trainers who took the time to listen and understand my needs. He is very professional and takes the time to really work with me. The gym is well equipped and the facilities are welcoming. After numerous visits to various doctors and physical therapists, Tyler was the only one to really take the time to listen and work to address my issues. I highly recommend him and New Star.

Tyler has been a blessing to my chronic back problems! I tried NewStar a month ago with hopes of finding pain relief in my shoulders, back and hips. I’ve had 4 sessions so far and am so pleased with the improvement in discomfort and pain. Had more help here changing unhealthy behavior patterns, than anywhere. Including with my doctors.
