Ben and his team truly are amazing. After a back injury and debilitating pain, Ben’s program brought so much relief and gave me the tools needed to ease pain when flare-ups did occur. He helped me experience an almost back pain free pregnancy, and I cannot wait to return postpartum. Ben and his team go above and beyond in caring for those at their gym and are simply good people. So grateful for Off the Mountain!

Best gym in town with a great welcoming vibe! Ben is a genius and all other trainers are very skilled and professional. Any goal you have can be met here. Because I am 62 and have had some injuries, Ben has me focused on improved functional fitness so I can remain strong and continue doing all the outdoor stuff I love.

I have been attending Off the Mountain, for several years as a Legends of Park City member. We are older but want to stay active. Exercises are adapted as needed due to aging issues. I scheduled a knee replacement last Aug for January this year. My exercises this fall, while doing total body exercises ,did have an emphasis on leg strenghening. My knee replacement went well with Dr Lind being pleased with my 6 week checkup. My crutches disappeared by day 5 and seldom used the walker. My 6 week checkup had a straight leg and a knee bend of more than 125 degrees. Thank you, Nate and Ben for your help and guidance!!!

What a great gym. I started as a CrossFit client who is too old to do it, and they created the legends class for those of us who want to stay in shape and stay young. Ben is the best as well as the staff. They help me embrace my motto of β€œdon’t let the old lady inβ€œ.

I’ve been working out with Ben and his staff for about 2 years now. They are incredibly knowledgeable and have created a fun, relaxed yet challenging workout environment. I love how Ben see everyone as individuals. Taking into consideration your goals, strengths and weaknesses. Ben creates a program tailored just for you. The Off The Mountain team have helped me work through an aging body (hitchy hips and a wonky back) and a couple of injuries including a torn labrum. I have sporty high school/college age kids who have also worked with Ben on injury prevention, strength and agility training, and nutrition. Can’t say enough great things about Ben and his team!

These guys and gals are truly awesome! I am a 50 year old guy who would consider himself an athlete. My workouts in the past hurt, and would up sidelining me from the things I love. OTM has given me a new way to look at strength and fitness. I am stronger, healthier and able to do the things I love without the pain. If you are a young athlete, or older and want strength, flexibility and less pain in the process, this team comes highly recommended.

Ben and the entire team at Off the Mountain have literally changed the relationship I have with my body. Ben took the time to really listen to my pain points, my shoulder issues and my long-term goals. I trained in-person for a few months while in Park City and then transitioned to remote training when I moved. I cannot recommend the team enough! If you are thinking about it - stop thinking and call them! It will be the best decision you can make for your future self!

I started working with Ben a little over a year ago as my strength and conditioning coach in Park City. After years of CrossFit plus my mountain sports, I was getting hurt far too often. Off the Mountain got me fit and back to doing the stuff I love. I haven’t been injured since and performing outside the gym at a much higher level. Great value, check it out if you’re looking for some personal training.

Ben is amazing at what he does, he listens to ALL the things you have going on with your body and life style to make a personalized program for what you need. I have been an athlete all my life (team sports, weight training, horseback riding, CrossFit, rock climbing, running, etc.) and have been to many physical therapists and trainers throughout the years, but I have never had progress like this before. Just before going to see Ben, I was trying to get into mountain biking but was suffering from back and hip pain. After working with Ben, I am so excited to say I never felt stronger, I am now pain free and have been able to do things on my bike that I have been able to before. Even with all my training history, I could never get out of the bike seat and pedal up a mountain, now I can do it with no problem, no pain and during that time I was doing ZERO bike training. He sees where you have weaknesses and is super mindful of any pain you have and crafts challenging, but restorative workouts that seriously make a difference in your performance in your sport(s).

After years of different workouts and combined with various PT sessions from activity related injuries, we came across Ben. Focus on movement oriented exercise routines, balancing, strength, fitness, flexibility and motion has been awesome. And Ben's attention to form detail is excellent.

Ben is the most talented coach I have ever worked with, and Off The Mountain is one of the best investments you can make in your physical health and athletic abilities. A few things differentiate Ben's approach:

1) Ben evaluates your joint health and mobility rigorously before designing your program. He also asks smart questions about your sports and training goals. Every exercise in your program will have a purpose.
2) Ben has an incredible eye for technique. He will teach you to do your exercises properly and safely.
3) Ben uses an awesome smartphone app to assign your programs and hold you accountable to them. He attaches videos so that you can review the movements when you're training at home or on the road.

Thanks to Ben, I've never felt stronger on my mountain bike and snowboard. We're lucky to have him here in Park City.

I started with Ben about a year ago. After 48 years of enjoying all sorts of sports, I was starting to feel tweets that would not go away. Ben's classes and one on one sessions have helped me get my body back on track. His technic is different from anything else I have done (which is exciting for my body and my mind). I love that I can take what I learn from Ben and his team and apply it to my other workouts. Kinstretch will be an important part of my routine going forward as my aging body throws curve balls at me :)

OTMs custom approach to Functional Fitness is thoughtful and deliberate. A priority for me, as a 1/2 centurion, is to stay strong and flexible. I'm proud of my achievements in the mountains and on the water and want to be in a position to continue performing at a high level. OTM takes the time to understand what I'm trying to accomplish and builds the program around the objective. Solid group of people focused on health and longevity, not ego.

You cannot recommend OTM enough to anyone looking to maximize mobility as efficiently as possible. Ben and Ailee are incredibly knowledgeable, beyond the standard trainer, and dig deep to the origins of what’s going on with your body, or how to maximize your potential and keep you Going sans injury. Everything is tailored to your needs and flexible with times and pricepoints. Give these guys a call, share a laugh, and move dat’ body.

I've worked with Ben for about a year in one-on-one training and am stronger and more mobile by far. His training style is unique to each client so I wasn't intimidated. He put me at ease. He is friendly--but wants to see me work at my best level. His workouts come through an app and he is always available to checkin or discuss. Highly recommend him and OTM staff!

I have had back issues for 8 years, when my back goes out, I am laid up in bed for days. I went to PT almost every time I had a flare up, I was really good about doing my exercises and would feel good until the next tweak/flare up. It was frustrating that the smallest things would set me back. I luckily learned about Ben about 1.5 years ago and have been working with him and Ailee and couldn't be more happy. After learning about Kinstretch and a Functional Range Conditioning, it made sense why typical PT wasn't working for me. I have gotten so much stronger, my fear of my back going out is no longer a daily worry. My back has spasmed a couple of times in the past 1.5 years but I remained functional and only had to take it easy for a few days versus months and I credit that to the exercises I have been doing with Ben & Ailee. Ben and Ailee are very knowledgeable and really do care about each of their clients. They design workouts specifically for you that are easy to follow and modify if needed. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has chronic issues or if they just want to get their bodies to move more effectively.

I came to Ben injured, weak, and out of shape. His knowledge, experience and enthusiasm has helped my body be ready for skiing and mountain biking more than anything else that I have tried. Not only am I stronger, but my joints are healthier and more resilient. I recommend Ben to everyone and they all agree!

I LOVE coming to work with Ben and Ailee! Not only are their techniques completely unique to anything I've ever tried - they're effective. As I've worked to recover and become more active in the aftermath of a bulging disc, they would check in with me at the start (and in the middle AND at the end) of each session to see what my pain level was. The activities were built around how I was feeling in the moment, but they both also knew when I was just feeling lazy and to help me push myself! I saw MASSIVE progress in my time with them, from strength, to balance, to pain diminishment.

I mostly worked with Ailee and TRUST ME WHEN I SAY SHE IS INCREDIBLE. Intuitive, thoughtful, engaging, motivating - I wanted to be her bestie IMMEDIATELY. When I tell you she is passionate about your progress - I mean it. She's one in a million.

I can't wait to come back to work with Ben and Ailee in-person in a post-quarantine world. Till then, I guess I'll settle for their tremendous talent, thoughtfulness, and straight-up wonderfulness online.

The only thing I don't like about Ben and Vantreese Training is the fact that I didn't start working with them sooner!

I'm over 50 years old and still active with multiple mountain sports that include alpine skiing and touring, mountain bike racing, and nordic skiing, just to name a few. Working with Van Treese training has given me a new perspective on what my potential is. I honestly wish I had been doing strength work and, more importantly, work on my functional range (Kinstretch), years ago.

Last year in March, I had a completely torn ACL repaired. I was very concerned this would affect the pace at which I usually attack sports. Ben and I started working on rehabbing the knee, in conjunction with my physical therapist, a few days post-surgery. At eight months, I was racing cyclocross bikes, and at nine months, started skiing. I figured I'd have a season on skis that was maybe 60 - 70% of my norm. Still, within an hour of being back on the snow, I incredibly felt I was near full strength. By late December, I literally couldn't tell I'd had surgery (aside from the brace I was wearing). I'd say 70% of this was very focused strength conditioning, but a significant component was working on my mobility through Kinstretch.

If having your body in a physical condition that you will feel comfortable attacking any athletic endeavor is essential, especially as you age, start exploring options with Ben and his team as soon as you can.

Ben, Ailee and Kinstretch were a total game changer for me this winter. Having aggravated a long-standing knee injury i was unable to ski and struggling to walk. No amount of physiotherapy had helped and i was really at my wits end when a friend suggested i try Kinstretch. I was totally amazed at how quickly Ben and Ailee fixed my knee problem and got me back on the hill. These guys are angels and i cannot recommend them highly enough.

Training with Ben has been the best investment I have ever made in my body and my happiness. Ben is outstanding. I am an avid mountain biker and general mountain athlete. In the past few years low back and hip problems began to negatively impact how I engaged with my sports. Ben put together a program that brought flexibility and core strength back into my life in a way I would not have imagined possible. Ben is really good at identifying where you have bad motion patterns and helping your body "rewire" itself to move more effectively. This spring has been my first time on the bike after a winter with Ben, and I have been marveling at how much more endurance and power I have on descent. I can lay down acceleration when I need to and can absorb hits from jumps better than I have in years. Bobsled trail has never been more fun. For me, it's been a process, and Ben is always joking how my body responds "more slowly than the average person," so as someone who has always grappled with an uncooperative body, I can promise you that if you trust Ben and put in the time you will not regret it. Thanks, Ben. You're the best, man!

Ben is intelligent, conscientious, attentive, and a great trainer. I came to him with some uniquely difficult problems, and he has been a huge help to me over the months to continue to address these issues as they evolve and I improve. My hip turnout is getting better and my mobility has absolutely gotten better. I would recommend him to anyone looking for better functional range of motion and strength in their sport.

I have been working with Ben for almost a year, and in that time, he has taught me so much about the human body, performance, and moving with intention. I have been an athlete most of my life (11 years Crossfitting), and I have a tendency to β€œmuscle” my way through workouts. I had body awareness before, but not to the extent that I have it now.

Since working with Ben, my workouts have been more effective, and the way in which my body is moving has translated into more mindful, intentional, movement. Movement that leaves me feeling satisfied, both physically and mentally. When movement is done correctly, my mind and body both feel simultaneously grounded and energized, and seeing the physical benefits as well, that is the icing!

I intrinsically trust Ben and know that when I work with him, I will get the results that I hoped for; results that truly are a mind/body experience. Deepest gratitude!

Ben is fantastic! I had severe arthritis in my hips and he literally kept me walking/moving for 2 years until I could get joint replacements. I was able to recover from surgery very quickly due to his strength and flexibility training. His ability to adapt training programs to individual clients is wonderful. All-around great experience.
