This gym charges PREMIUM. My genuine review is that the class instructors are good enough but this facility is honestly really old and the equipment is broken and old and dusty most of the time. The indoor swimming pool is moldy and freezing, the ladies and I are usually uncomfortable but we deal with it. The outdoor swimming pool is literally the size of a large rug, I brought my grandkids and it was comical. Anything that deserves the name “state of the art” are things you need to pay extra for. The front desk workers are friendly enough but there is this sense of entitlement from those who sign you up and any management. They are not friendly at all, it’s really off putting. Also my grandson can’t find a single basketball that is decent to play with. I think my experience would be manageable if this gym didn’t charge so much.

I love the ladies who work at the kids' club. I would give them 5 Stars for sure. But so far as the actual facility is concerned, the equipment is old and dusty and broken way more than any club I've ever been to. The swimming pool is freezing and old. The class instructors are good at their jobs, but it seems like only the biking room has had any kind of reinvestment in the room. The yoga room is tiny and cramped, and the speakers are out a lot. The "Women's Gym" is kind of insulting and looks like the old equipment about to go to the dumpster gets reserved for the women. Women love chatting on leg bikes and ellipticals, but there aren't any of those side by side for chatting, and even if there were, they would probably be broken. And management, it would be nice to see you actually smiling at us and getting to know new people.

Moral of the story, I have been to a lot of gyms in my life, and this is by far the most expensive one I've ever been to, while also having the most old and dumpy equipment I've ever worked with. I just feel like the price is not reasonable for how little they reinvest in their equipment. Stop investing in new things (that we have to pay for EXTRA to use, like tennis, Hyrox, and body scanning), and reinvest in what you already have and make it reflect how much you are charging us every month. I’ve already gone to management about this, and they made it clear they weren’t interested in addressing it.

I like this club, as this is one of the only places I can do lap swimming indoors. However my only complaint is the men's locker room doesn't seem to be cleaned regularly. There has been some toliet paper on the walls of the shower for weeks, which hasn't been cleaned off yet.

For the amount of money one spends to be a member, I would expect the locker rooms to be routinely cleaned or at least tidied up.

I've been coming to OAC about 6 months. As a business manager and former gym employee I have high gym standards. Cleanliness is key, as is customer service. OAC is clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. I had a few concerns so answered the survey they sent out. Those concerns were addressed immediately. I will continue to work out here and appreciate the work the staff put in. That kind of action isn't found at a large corporate gym.

If I could give this place an even worse rating i would. This gym is an absolute scam.. 80% of their equipment is broken. Their cardio room has major mold and water damage from water leak they neglected to tell their members about. To include they all charge you a month out after deciding the gym isn't for you. Literally a money hungry scam. Shame on you Ogden Athletic Club.
An absolute waist of money. And now a lie to follow up with the review. I personally saw the water leak and the damage in the cardio room. I'm happy to report a negative review, look at my 1000s of five star reviews on business. I tell the truth if you get a one star from me. Be a member for 13 years, then when you turn 65 and are on Medicare and you Medicare supplement plan includes "Silver Sneakers" which pays for your gym membership as a part of the plan that you pay for, but, the Ogden Athelletic caClub refuses to accept Silver Sneakers which every other gym in the area accepts. You can save the $576 (senior rate) by going anywhere else which is a no brainer. THe club could take the $360 paid by the plan, but would rather just loose your business altogether. No wonder the club is experiencing financial difficulties.

My favorite gym! I feel so comfortable and safe here. I love that they have multiple rooms to workout in. Sometimes I’ll be in the cardio room, other times I’ll take a workout class, or I’ll just do some weight lifting. It has it all. I tried out another gym once to save some money and NEVER again, did not have the same family friendly atmosphere. You get what you pay for. It’s definitely worth it to go here. My only annoyance is the groups of teenage boys that will surround a machine for half an hour and be obnoxious. I know that’s not the gyms fault and that happens everywhere, I just hate it lol. Just gotta get to the gym before the after school/work rush comes in.

If you need a place that has good equipment without having the scary crowds that you will oftentimes find and gyms, this place is perfect. The staff is friendly, and there are plenty of family-friendly options for the time you spend there. There is a daycare for children under 8 years old, as well as spaces for older kids to hang out as well. There is plenty of equipment as well as a women's workout room that is private. No matter the level you are physically, there is something for you. The pools are always clean if you need a good swim, and the courts for tennis basketball volleyball and lots of other sports are kept in good condition. I have never felt judged by any of the other people using the gym and have had many light conversations with other people there. It is a good environment to build up self-confidence as well as your physical stature.

I had enjoyed the club for a few years but after too many unauthorized charges to my credit card and the removal of the adult hot tub, it’s time to move on. The billing department seems to be incompetent and unkind. When I I have disputed a charge they automatically give me club credit instead of refunding it to my credit card. There was an adult hot tub that was nice but was constantly broke down. They finally found an opportunity to totally remove it but yet the monthly fees went up. There is plenty of room to have put an above floor hot tub in the same place but I guess they chose to just not have one. The back 2 covered tennis courts will have water all over them when it rains so you will have to wipe that up yourself taking away from the time that u are paying for. Mostly it’s a good club but there is a lot of room for improvements, just watch your billing statements.

Update I returned today. Because my elderly mother really enjoys the pool and it’s not far from are home! My exemptions were high and We had amazing time the front desk representative was very friendly and membership was also friendly and older gentleman gave me a tour and my elderly mother had amazing time swimming in the pool. Found out it’s more a country club experience the a gym! Most expensive gym in the area.! I wanted to join for summer 3 months special. That would’ve cost over $250 all up front. The members sign up representative didn’t even want to leave his office. And keep advising the front desk clerk representative what I had to do to sign up. After paying $15 one day pass and all other gyms in the area is $8 one day pass. I walked by the members sign up and the representative was on his phone scrolling through social media but he didn’t have time to sign me up for membership. And when I called back to sign back up it I had to call three times and took 3 days for membership representative to call me back. The last agent said the front desk staff didn’t ever give membership the message after taking all my information. The representative that called wasn’t very friendly and didn’t care how the other representative acted and
Didn’t do anything to sign me up. I’m Just thinking they want to keep there club private and they don’t make it very easy to join. If you don’t want customers service join this gym!

This place is amazing! It’s a family friendly club. A place for parents to work out. They have a real child care on site and very professional stuff to keep kids busy. There are so many things for kids to do besides screen time. So I could go work out and not feel guilty. They have an amazing junior tennis program. This summer, they also offer youth yoga, my daughter loves it. They have an outdoor pool too. Today when it was time to test the water and kids had to be out of the pool, they all received complimentary popsicles. It made my kids day! What a service. I can go on and on, don’t wait to join. I wish I had known about this place when my kids were babies.

Pickleball courts have tennis ball fur and It’s feels playing in a trashcan.
$10 per hour charge for Pickleball.
When there is inclement weather, the Pickleball courts flood.
The Jacuzzi is over chlorinated and will bleach your suit white.
Customer service is very poor. Cannot make a phone call with issues. Nobody there answers the phone and you have to wait a couple of days for a call back.
Floors in exercise rooms are very dirty and the vacuums and mops don’t seem to be working.

I’ve been coming to the club for about a month now and am very happy with my choice to join! I initially came to the club displeased with my previous fitness center over several issues. OAC has been a perfect fit for me in many aspects. There’s many amenities and lots of equipment. My personal favorite is the adult only locker and cardio areas. The facility is always clean. Customer service has been incredible as well. Overall a major improvement for my fitness goals and lifestyle.

I really love this gym and all the amenities and how close it is to my house. However, the younger kids that hang out in the weight room are the worst. I have limited times to lift and there are always a few camped out at machines or taking over the whole free weight area. In groups of 4 or 5. I know there are worse things they could be doing. I think that's the only con for me. The staff is really nice.

Recently got a membership here, it's definitely pricey, I guess your paying for the status of the name. If you need a practice venue for tennis it has amazing courts. The pool inside is lovely, I will be asking if it's all chlorine or if it's a salt water type also, it just seems like there isn't as much chlorine, it's really nice. The temp of the indoor pool is perfect. We haven't gone out to the outdoor pool yet, because there's always a lot of people out there, and I am teaching my little one how to swim. There is a couple saunas, Jacuzzis and steam rooms. The workout area is massive they have tons of equipment. I was expecting there to be massage chairs or massage beds that you can use, like there are at some of the lower quality fitness centers, I don't think there are any I've looked all around, maybe they're hidden somewhere. All in all it's a really nice Fitness Center lots of different things, we're new so we haven't done any of the member activities yet for little kids, but I have seen on Facebook that they do special kid activities for holidays. There isn't a smoothie bar but they do have a machine that you can get a smoothie at which is kind of weird. There was only one kind when we went, we tried it, I knew what I was getting before buying it (spinach, pineapple) wouldn't get it again.

This would be a great gym if there were any monitoring of the young kids in the weight room. Most days it feels like you are working out in a daycare. I have had many close calls with kids running around while i was carying heavy dumbells. Not safe at all and very distracting. I have brought this issue up multiple times and have just been ignored. I will not be renewing my membership unless something changes.

It's a good facility. But they are not very stringent on the rules when it comes to the younger kids. The last few times I have gone there there were unsupervised children playing on the machines.
The last time I ran on the indoor track I almost tripped over a bunch of kids that ran out infront of me without even looking. With that being said, they were nice enough to say sorry.
And I have mentioned it to the staff before.
