OTF is such a great studio! It provides everything you need for a great workout and sets you up for success: the playlist is set, the coaches guide you through the workout, your heart rate monitor helps you to know how much to push so the workout is individualized to you. With all the knowledge you gain (like how to lift weights) it’s really an investment in your health. The staff remembers you and makes you feel welcome, the coaches invest in you and are there to help with anything you need, they really listen! The different challenges throughout the year (transformation challenge, 12 days of fitness, etc.) are great for keeping it fresh. Highly recommend this studio to anyone who is looking for a positive, fun, inclusive gym!

This is the best location in Utah. The staff is friendly and helpful. The WOMEN who work there are always kind and remember my name. It’s always crowded, but the only thing that means is that for about 15-20 minutes before class they aren’t able to answer the phones, but as a regular I understand that. I wish they didn’t have some of the rules they have (charging for late cancels and not letting you into class after 5 minutes past the start time) but I totally understand them. They have to draw the line somewhere because there’s often a waiting list and that helps them manage things. If you’re looking for a place to work out, I’d definitely check this place out.

12/24/24-Do NOT go to this specific location. I used to work for other OTF locations in Salt Lake County. They are franchise owned and this location is just ridiculous about their “rules”. I love the company and workout so much that I’ve chosen to be a member on & off throughout the years even though I no longer work the front desk. I know exactly how the rules work. There was a class today at 9:45 and I texted their phone number at 9:29 stating that I was going to be 5-10 min late…got no response . There’s traffic because it’s Christmas Eve and I live 30 minutes away. I was waiting for my husband to get home because of childcare. I arrived at 9:53 and the girl would not let me in and kept refusing although I was trying to explain my situation. The conversation left me in tears because I was scrambling to get there and it’s hard for me to workout with a new baby. I will never step foot in this location again. Unacceptable to treat people that way, especially on Christmas Eve. Please go to a different franchise

I started my weight loss journey here at 340lbs. I’m 6months in and I’ve lost 70lbs and toned my body in ways I never thought I could. Their staff help me reach safe and responsible goals as I reach new milestones on my health and fitness journey. My fellow gym goers make the environment so welcoming and safe.

I’m feeling especially grateful for Orange Theory this month!! After several dr. appointments and tests done in the last few weeks my A1C is down 6 points and my blood pressure has dropped 20-30 points consistently! Since I’m not taking any medication, I can only attribute that to exercising and the amazing support I feel with my OT Family! They keep me so motivated in class and offering fun challenges that always incentivize me to get there more often and push myself harder! Just this morning I had Heather leading the class and then Josee and Natalie (other coaches) actually taking the class too and ALL 3 of them were helping me specifically and I felt super important to all of them! Thanks OT for changing and challenging me! But mostly for making me feel healthier, happier and having fun while doing it!
THAT’S PRICELESS! 🧡🧡🧡

I have been a member here for a year and a half now. Orange Theory American Fork is fantastic! Coaches and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. If you ever have a question they go above and beyond to help. The best part about Orange Theory is they have created a safe, fun atmosphere to workout in. It is truly a no judgment zone where everyone is trying their best and encouraging to others.
And, the workout itself is the best I have ever tried. I am challenged every class and love it!

It is challenging to add anything new to the many positive reviews that have already been posted but I want to add a few thoughts, regardless. Due to surgery I missed a year of OTF workouts and was able to start up again two weeks ago. What makes American Fork such a comfortable place for me is the sense of community. All the coaches are still here and much of the staff. Even the staff that was new to me treated me as an long-standing friend and I could not have felt more welcome. Since I am more than "over the hill", I appreciate the workout regimen that guides me through full body movement, core strengthening exercises, along with the cardio and weight resistance training. Sometimes my "all out" is just getting off the floor in a halfway dignified manner. The coaches kindly (but firmly) ensure I am performing the workouts correctly to prevent injury. In summary, as much as I enjoy an OTF workout, I love their people even more! Go OTF AF!

I LOVE Orangetheory (OT) Fitness in AF. The trainers are fun. They make working out a joy! You are constantly moving from area to area which makes the hour go by fast. I burn almost 2 times the calories working out at OT vs working out on my own for an hour. I also love the monthly challenges they do that motivate me to go to the gym more often. OT is the best gym I have ever joined. I am so glad I found OT!

There aren’t enough words to explain how much I love OTF AF!! From the coaches, to the front desk staff, and the members, it’s one big happy family there! The coaches are always encouraging, and pushing you to it give your all. They have pushed me to do things I didn’t even know I was capable of achieving. It’s changed me not only physically but mentally as well. Orangetheory AF is the way to go! 🧡

No 3G
My biggest complaint about this studio is they NEVER convert a class to 3G even when the classes have huge waits. Specifically the 715am and 830am classes. Orem and Sandy are great about it. If even 1 person is on the wait in Sandy they make it a 3g so everyone gets in. This studio is consistently turning away people in the dark cold morning hours: and on top of that the “full” classes always have at least one if not more than one employee attending. There is also a rule that members must arrive within 5 minutes of class start time to be “warmed up and safe” but employees frequently join class whenever they feel like it. 10, 15, even 20 minutes into class and sometimes just the second block. They also lock the front door and leave the front desk unmanned in order to attend. The bottom line is if a class is full, make staff give up their spot for paying members. If that doesn’t allow all members to attend, convert the class to 3G as the business model intends. They have said that all classes can’t be 3G but that’s untrue. Every single day, every studio does the same daily work out and have the choice of 2 or 3 G. I’ve seen the manual. Refusal to convert is just laziness on the part of the studio or tells me the coaches lack confidence handling a larger group. Either way it’s not fair to the people using this location. The reason for 3 star review despite the complaint? Meghan the red head is the best employee you have. You need more Megan’s and less of the snooty blond type employees. Also the coaches are great. Especially Josee and Kristen. But I feel they could push more for 3G than they do.

I have had the most AMAZING experience at OTAF! I had never had a gym membership anywhere prior to joining OTAF and was anxious to join, but am so glad I did! I’ve met amazing people and am stronger and happier with myself than I’ve ever been. The coaching staff is awesome (every single one), professional and so helpful. The front desk staff are professional, kind, helpful, and always welcoming. I 100% recommend OTAF to EVERYONE! You’ll LOVE. it!!!

If you are looking to join Orange Theory you may want to consider another studio. The Orange Theory workout is great and I’ve really enjoyed it in the past but the American Fork studio is awful.
Their coaches are the worst, they don’t know how to do half the exercises, no help or advice is ever given, and on top of that some are just outright rude to you and won’t help or talk to you at all unless you are one of thier favorites. Having a coach to encourage and help during the workout was a big reason why I signed up for OTF but I could have saved so much more money going to a regular gym and doing the workout by myself because that’s essentially what happened.
Even my very first class the front desk person told the coach (who was the head coach at the time) it was my first time and they usually help you to know how to do the workout, find your base, encourage and watch, etc but she ignored me the whole time and only followed up with an automated text after the workout. I almost quit right then because the first class was such a confusing and awful experience.
But I did go back and found a really amazing coach that made the atmosphere great and helped me to where I was really starting to enjoy it and see results but then she moved to the Lehi studio and I couldn’t make it to her classes.
After that it was a continuous downhill slide at American Fork.
They changed the class schedule, even though the majority of attendees said they preferred it how it was.
Aside from the coaches the whole front desk group is only semi helpful with a lot of “I don’t knows” and “maybes?” rather than working to get an answer or to assist you, but have no hesitation taking money from you.
Again, love the Orangetheory workout but would definitely urge you to consider a different studio as others and Myself had much more positive experiences elsewhere.

I’ve been signed up since February, 5 months now and they still haven’t fixed my account. 5 months and I still cannot book a class using the app. I’ve asked them to fix it so many times I’ve lost count, it’s becoming ridiculous. Experience at this location has been absolutely abysmal. No one will take accountability and see this issue through until it’s resolved.

I can’t say enough good things about Orangethoery Fitness! By far, it’s the best gym I’ve ever been too. We celebrate everyone and the community is super supportive. The coaches, the front desk staff, and the workout are all top notch. No workout is the same. I’ve lost over 30lbs and I’m currently in the best shape of my life thanks to OTF! I would highly recommend Orangethoery American Fork. Come sweat it under the orange lights!

Orangetheory in American Fork is amazing!
And I have seen physical and mental results!
The receptionists, coaches, and manager at this location are all so kind and encouraging. Everyone there is making sure you are heard, feeling welcomed, and always asking what they can do to make it better.
I have seen results from attending OTF 4-5 days a week. I feel stronger and finally feel confident. I give credit to the coaches for their ongoing education for helping me make a better version of myself.

I’ve been an OTF member for a bit over a year. I recently transferred to the AF studio and it’s been wonderful. The front desk gals are welcoming, helpful, and available whenever you need them. The coaches are encouraging and fun- they coach by walking around and pointing out areas to improve OR helping you identify ways to further challenge yourself. I attend 5x per week and have had the chance to meet most of the staff- I can confidently say it’s a good place to be. The studio is clean, tidy, and does have a couple of showers. Don’t be initiated by group work outs- no one is there to judge you. If anything, we all come together to huff, sweat, and grow stronger together.
I always tell my friends and acquaintances, I love the feeling of working out in a club! Hopefully you stop by and give OTFAF a try!

I have been taking classes at Orangetheory for about a year and a half. I absolutely love it! I’ve been a dancer all my life and didn’t really know what to do when I went to the gym. I love high fitness but I just wasn’t getting the resistance training I needed. Orangetheory is a perfect balance of strength training resistance training and cardio! I love the coaches and the structure of the classes. The workouts are varied and interesting and keep me challenged but not overwhelmed. If you’re looking for a well-balanced workout and a good time, come check out Orangetheory!

I’m updating my review because there are some things others should know when considering coming here. As a side note I have referred many to Orange Theory not just at this location but others too.
When you sign up here you are required to get the orange theory app to book your classes/sessions you want to attend. If you cancel within 8 hours prior to that class they assess a $12-15 one time charge for every one in addition to the monthly price of $99-149. This is their way of holding you accountable, which I’m not totally against. Where the frustrations come in from several members at this location is trying to get these charges reversed. You have to email the location manager and ask for them to be removed. Occasionally they will, but most won’t. So if you have kids, or a job that would possibly have something come up within that 8 hr time and you can’t attend, you will be charged. Oh and if their app is having technical problems as it does and it doesn’t cancel your class, you will get charged. They have been good at reversing these, but again, you have to email the location manager and ask for these to be reversed.
One other thing I have heard while attending this gym almost daily for a year, it’s either freezing cold or super hot. The location/franchise owner controls the thermostat so even the coaches at each location has no control over it.
Besides that, I enjoy the workouts. I really like the coaches, they are great.

I started going here recently (about a month now)
I was skeptical of joining because it’s hard to join others when working out but, orange theory is the bees knees! All the coaches are magical and so kind! I have a hard time with form and balance, Coach Josee really takes the extra time to help me get it right!! (it’s probably comical how much help I need). So if your looking to push yourself while having overwhelming anxiety about gyms… don’t worry this place will make you feel like you’ve been a part of OTF for years!

Nothing special here for the price. You're much better off buying your own heartrate monitor. Also, the female sales staff are unbelievable here. Even the married ones will shamelessly bat their eyes and flirt with you to get you to sign up. It's pretty pathetic. They shouldn't have to try so hard if the service provided is actually worth the steep price.
