Josh is amazing! You will not get bored with this guy! It’s impressive how many different exercises he will use to work the same muscle group. I started training to lose weight and gain muscle in order to reduce back pain/injury. In 5 months I lost 25 lbs and was at 17% body fat!!! Josh’s combination of nutrition and training helped me exceed my goals. The physical gains has been amazing but what truly has made the most impact for me is the huge improvement in my overall health. At the end of the day you are responsible for your results but if you do what Josh tells you then you will get the results you want.Trust the process.

Josh, aka the cake boss, is awesome. I trained with him five days a week for over a year and was always met with positivity and encouragement. Training with Josh at Passion Fitness has been amazing and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to lose weight and build muscle. In my time with Josh I've lost 25 lbs of fat, seen a big change in muscle size and definition, learned about nutrition and macros, and got my life on a healthy track through accountability and sticking with healthy habits.
What I like most about Passion Fitness:
- Small group classes that are actually small group. The most I ever saw at a workout with Josh was 7 other people and several times it was just Josh and I.
- One benefit of the small groups like this is Josh is able to be very involved with you throughout the workout and adjust your form, weight, etc as needed. He is also there to spot you so you can lift heavier than you would otherwise!
- Your heart rate gets up but there are no burpees, sprints, or really any cardio, it's great! It's functional body building and weight lifting and your heart rate gets up because of the reps or weight you're lifting.
- Variability of workouts. The workouts are always different and yes you do some of the same movements/exercises but you're always mixing it up and trying new things. My elbow pain that I used to have while lifting is gone because I'm no longer doing the same movements over and over.
- Accountability. Josh will give you as much as you want. At one point I was texting him my Myfitnesspal nutrition info each day along with a picture of my feet on the scale to show him my weight. Doing this helped me break through a plateau I had hit.
I can't recommend Josh and Passion Fitness enough! I look forward to going to his gym and my life has truly changed for the better by working with him.

Josh is an amazing trainer. He is a wealth of knowledge and does and an amazing job of meeting you wherever you are in your fitness journey and getting you to where you want to be. He is very insightful as to which workout plans and meal plans are a right fit for you. He also has the crazy ability to guess the exact weight you need when trying out a new exercise. He is well versed in the common mistakes and pitfalls that people who are starting a new healthy lifestyle fall into and always has a word of advice to help you get back on or stay on track. His app is user friendly and gives you access to detailed explanations and demonstration videos for your personalized workout plan. As far as personal trainers go, he is very affordable and has multiple plan options to fit any budget. If you’re lost in your fitness journey and not sure where to go next or you haven’t even taken the first step yet, then Josh is definitely your guy!

Training with Josh was one of the best things I have ever done. He is a very knowledgeable trainer and very passionate about helping people reach their goals. He was always attentive to my individual needs and very adaptive. Josh is very good at seeing what you need whether it was encouraging word, adjusting form, helping with nutrition or teaching about a new exercise. I always felt very welcome. Josh is fantastic to work with. I signed on for his 16-week program with the goal of becoming more toned. Previous to going to Josh, I was a healthy eater and ran regularly, but I still felt soft. I was frustrated, but didn’t feel educated enough about what to eat or how to work out to make a change on my own. I didn’t have any experience with weights or working out at the gym. Two different friends recommended Josh, so I gave it a try. He was phenomenal. Working out each morning with Josh was fun, gave me confidence to work out at a gym, and helped me achieve my goal. He gave me meal plans in the beginning and by the end I had parameters to guide myself. Now I really enjoy working out, I feel stronger, and I know what to eat. Josh Pettit came highly recommended from some friends of mine who trained with him. Once I met him, I knew what they had seen in him. Josh cares deeply, and is knowledgeable and dedicated to your success. We set goals together, and Josh provided me with the nutrition education and workout plans necessary for me to reach those goals. He personally coached me through my struggles, made sure my form was safe and effective, and was always in reach to answer questions and provide support. 4 months later, I had lost 20 lbs of fat (down 10% Body Fat), and gained nearly 10 lbs of muscle. I loved the 16-week transformation workout with Josh! josh is very knowledgeable, and was able to teach me how to eat right and challenge myself physically. My personal challenge was actually gaining mass and Josh helped me to see some great results! He was able to tailor the workouts and meal plans to help me achieve my goals. Numbers on a scale don't mean squat, and I've seen results with Josh to prove it. I would highly recommend anyone that it is looking to change their lifestyle to take the challenge. Warning though, this takes work and commitment. You can't just show up and expect Josh to change you without putting in hard work! IT IS WORTH IT!

When I started at Passion Fitness It was about a year after I had my fourth baby. My pregnancies were rough on my body and rough mentally. Everyday for the past four months I have finally gained back the muscle I lost and have gotten stronger mentally as well.
I was skeptical that my personality and the trainer, Josh, would mesh well and by the end of the first day I was proven wrong. He was and still is amazing to work with. He pushes me, but still knows my limits. He genuinely wants to help you become a better version of yourself.
The very best part is I walk in he tells me what to do and what weights I need and then I’m done. It is one less thing that I need to worry/think about in my crazy world.
I would HIGHLY recommend Passion Fitness.

I am on my 5th week of the 6 week challenge. I have not lost as much as I wanted to so far but the weight is slowly coming off and I definitely feel stronger. Dave is great to work with and is accommodating with regression exercises for me because I have bad knees. He always keeps that in mind and knows what my limits are. I have decided to stay on with them for a year and know with their help I can get to where I want to be. I would recommend passion fitness for sure.

I just completed the 6 week challenge, and I have never experienced anything like it! It was awesome having Josh and Dave there to push me to my limits, and give me advice on living a healthier lifestyle whenever I asked. Yes, they have a nutrition guide and workout program put in place, but they are willing to tweak it and work with you on an individual basis to make sure you achieve your goals as fast as possible. I lost over 6% body fat, and couldn't have done it without their guidance (and some willpower ;) ) And the facility is great; it's motivating to have others there working hard right along with you, and as a mom of 3, I appreciated the playroom so much! Would recommend this program completely!

I participated in the 6 week challenge. I followed a nutrition plan they provided, and I worked out 3x a week at the gym in the "Challenge" classes. It was fun to be a part of a regular workout community! Josh was really available for help and Dave got to know his students during workouts. At the end of the 6 weeks, I had lost 7 pounds and went down 6.4% in body fat. If you are looking for something in between personal training and a workout class, with accountability, this is the program for you!

So six weeks ago, I started the challenge with Passion Fitness with Josh, and I haven't regretted it one bit! He has pushed me along the way and is an excellent trainer and coach!!
