This is more than just a gym.
I’ve been wanting to get back into lifting for years but have NEVER had the right environment and support. The people are are geared to help you GROW, both physically and mentally. Community is amazing, classes and instructors are attentive and very involved. You can tell this is a passion project. I’ve been with them for a month and it’s been the best decision I’ve made for my body.
I will report back for more reviews as the time goes on.

5 months update 11/26/2025:
I’ve been with PRG for 5 month. Working out is growing into a habit. For people like me, with wife, young kids, full time work that often requires over time, finding time to work out or even gather the motivation to work out is so so difficult. Astonishingly, PRG was able to solve all that for me. The team and community gets you going, keeps accountable. They help you to over come obstacles so you aren’t struggling and trying alone. Their class schedule is designed for busy people like us with lots of flexibility. Their workout routine is adjusted weekly by professional athletes aka the owners, so that when we go there in the morning feeling groggy because I literally jumped out of bed like 20 minutes ago, I don’t have to put too much effort into thinking and planning, I can just follow the instructions and DO THE WORK. And trust me, the work out routines are CHALLENGING and it feels so damn GREAT after.
The best thing is after a few months, I was able to introduce my wife to the gym and she being a person with lots and lots of skepticism (also have always preferred to work out by herself for whatever reason she has), fell in love with PRG in a few weeks. Now we both try our best to work out 4 to 5 times a week.
PRG has absolutely done wonders to my life and I’m going to continue to come back and update this review.

PRG is the greatest! Full of high-quality people pushing fitness to the limit! Great instructors, great workout plans, great friends and family! 11/22/2025 I've just finished my first month here and in the past 40 days I've lost 10lbs of fat and put on 6lbs of muscle, and I haven't even started their nutrition program that they offer in the membership, like any gym you get out what you put in, but the trainers and staff make it easy to get started. I'm coming fresh off the couch and every session I am doing more and am surprised at how adaptable they are for your fitness level. Can't wait to see where I get to in the coming months!

I started at PRG with a trial deal for 3 months. After going and realizing how unique it was, the community I had gained, the quality of coaching, and how much progress I could make physically and mentally, I couldn’t resist signing up for an additional year. You get so much when you go to PRG. The coaches and community truly push you to be your best self and the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. I was intimidated to go because I’d lost 140 pounds, but muscle wise… I was starting at square one. I’d seen some of the reels for PRG and looking at the shape everyone else was in, I thought there was no way I’d fit in. I was pleasantly surprised when I went and was welcome with open arms. As I’ve continued at PRG I get constant support, accountability because they check in on you and genuinely miss you if you’re not there. You’re not just another number or member… PRG is family. They’ve pushed me in so many ways, believed in me when I didn’t, helped me to always stay safe and injury free while also pushing me to get the most out of my workouts. I love going to the gym now, and it’s so easy to have full confidence in reaching your goals. Not only are they family inside the walls of PRG, but we’ve gone to events, done family night, they’ve organized hiking groups, and 5K’s together. It’s hard to express just how much you get out of PRG. So I highly recommend coming and experiencing it for yourself. I can’t wait to keep moving forward with them knowing I’ll get so much further than I ever would have if I hadn’t found PRG and the amazing owners and coaches there!

Great environment! Awesome coaches who get you out of your comfort zone and push you to get you to the results you're looking for. They have good music playing, solid equipment and challenging workouts and help you to keep track of your progress. I like how they'll correct your form before they'll tell you to add more weight. PRG is legit! Devin and Will work with me on an at-home custom program where I am not local to the gym. The program has been awesome and customized to equipment I have in my home gym. I started training with PRG from home to get ready for a course with Tactical Cowboy in the fall. Jackie Soto has been a SOLID line of support. Any time I have questions about form, technique, or exercises I have little to no experience with. She’s super quick to provide direction and/or tutorials to get me on track. I can shoot her a quick video of my form to make sure I’m good to go. I’m incredibly grateful for her! Plus, like so many of the other Moms at PRG. Jackie’s a huge inspiration!
The dedication of all the instructors is impeccable. I love that not only are there instructors coaching. There’s quite a few instructors actually doing the workout with you as well. They’re always on the lookout on form. Plus, they take the time to teach and correct in a fun and professional manner. You’re not just throwing weight around. You’re perfecting technique. Executing solid form. Then breaking goals from there. 😎
I love watching stories of PRG member’s personal transformation. People from all walks of life. All of the years invested in education, countless hours in the gym perfecting their technique. It’s awe inspiring training with them. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Will, Tina, and Heather. Incredible transformations in the flesh! They’re the kindest, humblest people I know! Incredible gym, it's very warm and welcoming. The people there are amazing and cheer you on as you go, making you feel like a part of the group no matter what. The owners are also great pepople, working with you to help with meal plans and cheer you on as well. The classes are good, and the coaches hype you up to help you get through intense workouts. They're good at correcting your mistakes if you have inproper form and answering questions, which is great. It's an amazing community you feel proud to be a part of. Love this place.

I genuinely get so excited every morning to wake up and head to PRG! The owners and coaches are so welcoming, supportive, and encouraging but will also push you and keep you accountable with your fitness and nutrition goals. I love the workout cycles that incorporate both strength training and cardio. There's always new fun workouts to try with great instruction. Plus, the PRG community has also become like a big second family. I've always been a highly active person but since starting 8 months ago, I've finally seen real success in losing weight. More importantly though, I feel stronger, faster, and more confident than ever–I attribute that all to the knowledgable staff at PRG and the supportive PRG community. There's no other place like it!

PRG is amazing! I started here when I was 5 months postpartum and have been coming for 7 months now. I’m usually somebody who is pretty timid and gets embarrassed easily, so the idea of group workouts or sharing results was always intimidating. PRG is an absolute game changer for me. I was nervous the whole drive there the first time, but I left feeling so incredibly grateful. Every person at PRG makes you feel welcomed, even as the “new kid who hadn’t decided if they were staying yet.” I instantly felt cared for, cheered on the entire time, even in the group workout coaches were checking form and keeping you safe. They pushed me enough to give me an amazing workout and help me see that I could do more than I thought- but not to the point where I felt like I was shutting down. They were so patient explaining lifts I hadn’t done before and the happiness is truly contagious. You instantly feel a part of something much bigger than only a gym. They make sharing results fun, and growth exciting! PRG truly cares about each and every member and visitor. Incredibly happy and thankful to be a part of PRG and very confident in the growth that’s going to come physically, mentally, and emotionally over the next few months. Even if you initially think “this kind of gym is too intimidating,” COME! Trust me, you’ll leave wanting to come again and again. It really is amazing!

This is hands down the best gym and group of people that I've ever trained with. At PRG, you are family, and each of the coaches take a personal interest in your success. The entire crew is very knowledgeable, and they will push you and encourage you to push yourself, but never at the cost of your form or safety. The coaches and mentors are doing the work outs with you, and this is great motivation and team building through shared struggle.
I live three hours south of PRG, and I still make time for coming to run the WOD with this crew as much as possible. I'd be here every morning if I lived closer.

The cancellation process was atrocious. Be very careful if you’re thinking about signing up with this group. I signed up with Devin the owner for a month to month program as stated in the contract only to find out upon wanting to cancel for financial reasons that I was in a 4 month contract. Devin and I talked about using them for 4 months before I move, and I thought I could cancel at any point since it the program was month to month. At the end of the day it was not made clear that it was a 4 month commitment otherwise I wouldn’t be here writing this review.
In addition, when I went to cancel the business wants a 60 day notice where other gyms are 30 day notice. I thought these guys would be different than your standard sleezy vasa or planet fitness but it turns out you’re just a dollar sign to them in the end.
Next, I found out about this group from an Instagram ad. It offered a free 6 week body transformation program. Total scam. You go in for an introductory workout and then they pitch you on an expensive amount to sign up with their membership. You do not get a “free 6 week” body transformation period.
The coaching I experienced while I went here was good and they did have better accountability than the prior two coaches I’ve used in the past.
I’m willing to change this review and leave a much more positive one if they can work with me in a better way on canceling my agreement.

I recently completed the 6 Week Nutrition Challenge and I highly recommend Devin and his team if you’re looking to improve your fitness and eating habits. The cost was more than I expected it would be. There’s no denying that it’s expensive, however I likely wouldn't have completed the challenge if I didn’t have to put that much skin in the game. You’re essentially betting on yourself. The meal plan guidelines aren’t anything crazy, anybody can follow them with a little bit of discipline. You’ll be eating clean, whole foods with a lot of freedom in how you prepare them. I never felt hungry, it was actually hard to eat all the food required. Following the plan meant eating significantly more than I usually do, so eating on a schedule helped a lot. By the end of the 6th week I lost 15 pounds total. I could have lost a lot more if I was more active (I spend a lot of time at a desk and on the couch). If I was more disciplined with getting my steps in I can see this number increasing to the 20-30 pound range. The accountability aspect of the program was huge. Unless you get creative with lying (which will literally just waste your money), it’s pretty hard not to follow through. Having somebody check in on you everyday may seem like overkill to some, but for most of us, it keeps us honest. That’s really the biggest part to this challenge, be honest with the coaches and yourself, and you will see results.

I LOVE it here! I’ve never done CrossFit before or anything like it so trying this was really out of my comfort zone and I wasn’t sure I would like it.
But as soon as I came in everyone here is SO encouraging and kind. It’s seriously the most supportive group of people to help you achieve your goals!

This gym and coaching staff are legit. It will get you strong and fast for anything you are preparing for. Like military, Law Enforcement, crossfit competitions. There is a level of accountability that keeps you on your goals and the nutrition plan will give you results to bulk or cut and just make you feel healthier. A few months ago I trained with Devin and his team and what a fantastic and awesome experience it was! Very much looking forward to having them in my area of the Midwest again!
During the 2 day class, at the end in the AARs one of my realizations was that my physical stamina and my ability's were not what I thought they'd be and I needed to improve, needed to make some lifestyle changes and get back on track.
Devin took my feed back to heart and reached out a couple days later with his Performance and Recovery team and got me set up with a 6 week fitness and diet guidance plan.
The plan wasn't really all that crazy difficult physically or majorly different with the diet. It had litteraly every step of what to buy, cook and when to eat, even down to condiments and seasonings, so no guess work there and the exercise plans were very detailed and played into the training very well, even with my crazy schedule and very little time for exercise.
After the 6 weeks, I had lost a little over 10lbs, a couple % of body fat, a few inches on my waist, hips, legs and arms, increased my muscle mass a few % and moved up 2 whole categories in my Vo2 max!
I'm now to the point to where I prefer the healthier diet and am going to my gym at least 2, if not more times a week when my schedule allows, and I am really enjoying the healthier lifestyle for sure! I am still losing weight and inches and still putting on lean muscle. Getting bigger, faster and stronger!
The improvements the Performance and Recovery plan got me are well worth the time and work I put in! Ill defiently be a life long customer and will work with them as long as they'll have me!

This gym is by far the best eva!!! The community, workouts, and most of all the people are what makes this place amazing! I did the 6 week challenge and lost 15lb! The mentorship and the support coming from the coaches AND your peers made it really easy and fun! Even after the challenge everyone's still your friend and push you to do better everyday. I have been part of the CrossFit community for over 15 years and when my gym was going no to close their doors I found out Devin and Jackie had opened up PRG. From the moment I walked in to check them out, I was welcomed with open arms and everyone has been so kind. I’ve loved getting back into lifting cycles and challenging myself. The biggest change for me has the been the nutrition part of my gym journey. I’ve never had that offered to me and when PRG was offering their summer shred I knew I was all in. My results have been life changing! I’ve lost all of my knee pain/inflammation, I cook/eat so much food and never have that “ugh, what am I going to make.” Best part is my family is along for the ride too!
The coaches are all very knowledgeable and are truly happy when you hit your goal. It’s a great place to be, find friends, make community and be strong.

This this this!!! I can't say enough about this program. I'm in my mid fifties, I've been through menopause and I have lost weight. I've lost 34 lbs in 9 weeks. I eat normal foods, healthy foods. The nutrition plan is simple to follow.
The coaches and owners do the workouts also. It's amazing to be with them when they do the skills. They are so fit.
ALL the coaches are SUPPORTIVE and compassionate. The members are the best they will cheer you on to victory. We are a family here. Come join us!

PRG is an amazing community! I joined this gym with my family members and then gained an additional gym family. No matter your fitness level, there's challenging moves as well as scaling options. The coaches are amazing, knowledgeable, positive, and motivating, with a focus on your improvement, good form, and growth. This is no typical Gym. These guys hold me accountable to my goals and help me learn, grow, and become stronger.
After much effort I’ve hardly been able to put on weight/muscle. Going here I have gained 17 lbs of muscle (first time in my life), learned good dieting techniques, gotten in really good cardiovascular shape, and have seen a significant reduction in my back pain. I've been going to performance and recovery group for several weeks now after not having been in the gym for almost 15 years. I've been avoiding the gym as a result of my extensive knee and shoulder injuries and didn't want to do the work to plan out how to fix my issues but the coaches and owners of P&RG have taken special care to adapt the workouts to my broken overweight body and have helped me find success despite my injuries! I have to say I've seen a massive improvement in stamina, energy, and overall feelings of well-being and, at the risk of being overly personal in such a public forum, I must add that according to my wife, I'm twice the man I was before the gym, which is worth the price of admission alone... I love being able to just show up and work out without having to spend hours reading exercise books or watching YouTube videos. Its all there, just waiting for us to come participate all I need is a willingness to be there, even if I'm not 'feeling' a workout if I show up and start earning up the energy and positivity there helps me get over my laziness and I'm able to get the benefit of membership. Joining Performance & Recovery Group is one of the best things I’ve done for my health. I feel stronger and more capable, which is important to me as I get older. Devon and his team of coaches are invested in my success, are always pushing me to be better and making sure I’m using good form to keep me injury free. The bonus is that this is something that my husband and I can do together, which means we have a standing date several days per week. I’d tell people that are on the fence not to be intimidated about working out. There are all levels of fitness at the gym and everyone is encouraging and kind. It’s a great investment in yourself.

PRG is more than a gym, it's a community...and it will change your life. Whether you're a super fit athlete, or were once in shape but let yourself go, or just never really cared about fitness, you won't find a more supportive group of people to help you on your fitness journey. The coaches are also incredible. Every exercise or movement starts with a demonstration of proper technique to make sure you don't get hurt, as well as maximize the effectiveness of the exercise. The classes are small (fewer than a dozen people) and there's usually a couple coaches at each class, so you'll get a lot of individual attention, too, There's a lot of emphasis on accountability, community, and progress. I could go on and on about how much other parts of my life have improved as a result of joining PRG, but suffice it to say, it's been one of the best decisions I've made in my entire life.

Love this gym!! The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, which clearly translates into their programming and coaching. They've created such a welcoming environment, accepting of everyone at every fitness and ability level. The atmosphere of the gym is awesome! The equipment is clean and the platform for workouts is very simple but effective. But the thing that really stood out to me is how welcoming everyone has been! I've been training at this gym for 5 months now. Fitness has been a focal point for my lifestyle from my time in the military, to my college years, and after. This community we have here has pushed me to new levels. We did our quarterly assessment recently & I squatted 275x5, deadlifted 365x3, ran a 6:15 mile, 48 push ups in 1 min, 16 strict pull ups, 11 stages on the classic beep test, 9 rope climbs in 3 mins, snatched 225lbs and Clean & Jerked 275lbs all in the same week.

I'm in my 40s, at the point of my life where I seem to be acquiring injuries, rather than recovering from them. Going into the third week, My right foot, hamstring, knee and hip all have reduced pain and an increased range of motion. My heart beats stronger and I'm not out of breath when I climb the stairs at work. Tennis elbow in my right arm and pain in my left shoulder has all but disappeared. It truly is a blessing to think that I might see my grandkids grow up, and as I get older give my body back to the earth and not complain. Thank you Devin and Jackie for the daily struggle.

If you’re looking for a gym experience, where you don’t really know anyone, you don’t care to talk to anyone and you want to walk around with your music in your ears ignoring everyone……… you probably need to keep scrolling….this isn’t the best choice for you!
This is a community, and this is a collection of people who encourage support and help each other to push themselves just a little bit further in the pursuit of their own personal goal, whether that is getting fitter, becoming more healthy, or just challenging themselves every day to be stronger and more healthy.
Devin and Jackie are creating a community where you learn something new every class and encourage and support others. It’s amazing and they’re dedicated to helping you achieve your personal fitness goals. I cannot recommend this place enough. I came to Performance & Recovery Group with my sister’s family. They had trained with firearms with Devin and my nephew has been working with Devin for advancing in the military. So, I have heard about Tactical Cowboy for a few years. I was intimidated to go to a gym where I was so out of shape. But, my goal I have been working on for myself this past year is to get myself healthy in my body, mind, and spirit. From the first “trial” workout we did, I felt a difference. My attitude wasn’t, I can’t do this. Because of the constant encouragement, for the first time since I was a teenager, I feel powerful in my own body. I am learning how to do exercises properly and with some modifications. But most importantly, I am learning an “I can” mentality from the encouragement of participants and the amazing Soto duo/trio 💕. I could have easily walked out the first night and told myself this wasn’t my fit, but when everyone is cheering each other on, it is hard not to believe in yourself. For the first time in a long time I can feel a good change in what my body can do. I go into exercises positively. I leave looking forward to our next session. I feel good. I feel like I am learning to live my best life and it is thanks to Performance and Recovery Group. The workouts are amazing and built on their 4 Pillars: Strength, Endurance, Mobility, and Power. Joining this group is teaching me that I am powerful and I am ready for the best part of my life! Thank you Performance and Recovery Group. You are all truly inspirational!!!

I joined this gym because I appreciate Devin's mentorship mentality in anything that he instructs on. Also, having done numerous firearm trainings with Devin when his shirt comes off - it's obvious he knows a thing or two about fitness. Initially I went into Performance & Recovery Group apprehensive it would be a the right fit for me. Gyms have always put a bad taste in my mouth for not being very accommodating to newer members. Normally I would walk in a new and not really have any structured workout plan or any real idea of how to maximize my time in the gym.
Performance & Recovery Group gave me a new outlook on going to gyms. The gym is clean, all the equipment is new. The community is welcoming and pushes each other to be better every day, and there is a challenging workout program that is completely scalable for your fitness level.
