They are permanently closed without notice. there's no way I'm going to drive a half an hour to their other locations but I now need to drive there to cancel my membership? It's ridiculous they won't let you cancel online or over the phone. I'll never sign up with planet fitness again because of this. I'm perfectly comfortable coming in to cancel my membership but it is very inconvenient!

The Lunk sign itself is judgemental for a so called "non-judgmental fitness business." The sign is supposidly there to remind patrons not to slam weight stacks or drop weights which is understandable but the way it is written is very judgemental.
The Staff are friendly and they work hard at keeping the place clean and sanitary. The equipment they have is in good condition but they are very limited on their free weight selection.
Frustratingly they are moving 6 miles South and more than a dozen stop lights away after only giving 30 days notice to their patrons. No refund on the contract. 6 miles doesn't sound far unless you consider that it's clear across town from it's current location and traffic is very congested between the two. I live in North Ogden so I'm not really interested in driving clear down to South Ogden to workout. Guess I'll be joining the near-by Vasa.

What a disappointment, as of November the Harrisville facility is closing it's doors. The company has recently remodeled and made a lot of improvements, what a waste. Yes, I was informed my membership could transfer to the South Ogden location however it is not convenient or close to my home. I have loved Planet Fitness especially the Harrisville location. So sad to see it leave.

This is a great gym! They always keep their equipment clean even during the crazy before and after work. I’ve been a member for a couple of years now and I always find myself going to this gym. The staff is always smiling and will great and answer any questions when you come in or when you’re leaving.

I went to this one location last week because it was closer , but I did not like the lighting, it was dark poorly lit. The equipment was just as good as the planet fitness I usually frequent. Parking is good, they have tanning but no total body and I didn't see the hydro massage chairs either.

Fee after fee after fee charged my card twice first month came to ask about it claimed to be my bank tried to explain i had sufficient funds didnt hear me out ignored it figured maybe it was a 1 time mistake not only charged one card twice charged my back up card as well dont understand why have a back up if they arent going to use it. 2nd month went fine same mistake happened again i had enough went to cancel instead of fus anymore charged me anothet 15$ fee there yearly fee came out of 45$ on my second card and 2 25$ charges on my first i had 150$ on my card still had funds looking in it again claimed it was my bank just paid the 15$ to GET OUT. 😑 i didnt have a good expierence my mom on the other hand never had billing issues i hope they dont charge me after cancelling like some claim on here so frustrated never had a problem with billing in other places. 😒 I might as well have paid the extra 10$ for vasa never had a problem with them if i knew i was going to be charged 3 times here anyways thought id save some cash with just minimal gym membership i was wrong.

We just got our membership here, and I love it so far. It's really laid back and relaxed and I feel comfortable working out here. There's not too much noise, and my husband and I can usually always get machines next to each other when we go to work out together. The staff is always cheery and welcoming. They have tanning and massage chair options. I also like that they're open 24/7 so we can pop in whenever we have the time.

Crooks. Kept charging me after i tried to cancel and also claimed i didnt pay my annual fee. When i tried to get them to help me they still refused. I like the fact that this location is not always packed. Yes, I know business needs to be good for the place to stay open, but it's nice that you can schedule workouts at times when the gym isn't packed. You can workout 24 hours a day M-F, and even though the hours a bit wonky on the weekends, they aren't so odd that you can't get in for a quick workout. Also, the staff has always been friendly and polite.

My only compliant is that the membership fees seem to have either gone up, or they're more expensive on this end of the valley. Technically, for what I'm paying I could have joined one of the more expensive gyms (which have steam rooms), but this is a good fit for now.

I just left PF totally disappointed with the service Eric gave me. Starting off he was untrusting, asking if the Black Card member was in the gym. I said “Yes of course”, Eric looked at me deciding weather or not to believe me. I asked if I needed to call the member over to verify. Eric proceeded to give a verbal version of the policy by no circumstances is it allowed to let a PROSPECT come into his gym without the Black card payee at this gym. I told Eric, “he is right there I can go get him if you need validation.” Eric had an Anglo member waiting, so I guess it looked good to give a brownie a pass at the time. Walked in feeling like Eric assumes I look like your typical Ogden scammer. What ever that looks like to Eric. Maybe brown, older, in scrubs with the medical facility logo and name on my work place on my scubs. I honestly felt discriminated. 3 weeks ago I had the opportunity to use the Hydro massage bed, 2 weeks ago I used the tanning unit for which I was sold a pair of goggles. it’s just good for my skin. After working out, I asked Eric to use one of the 4 empty tanning beds. Eric said I was a PEOSPECT & I was not allowed to use any of the amenities Black card members have access to. Eric was very cold and un empathetic. Felt like I was bothering him, so I asked to speak with the manager for further validation of the policy. At first Eric said he didn’t have a way to contact her. When I insisted he walked over to the phone and pressed 1 button to get her on the phone. She was worse. Asked me to give her the name of the employees who allowed me to use the services to write them up, WOW I’m sorry I asked. Everyone else treated me like they wanted me to get my own account, and wanted my bussines. I was given the wrong impression about using the amenities of the Gym, Eric could of showed me a copy of the policy or treated me like he felt bad I was misinformed. Instead, Eric threatend to kick me out and said I was not acting like an adult. I am a 50 yr old military veteran. In the past I have been treated like a valued customer. Today I was treated like an Ogden scammer. I have never been asked to vacate a premises especially due to my immaturity. Eric has no patience and treats people like they should feel lucky he is letting us use the business he is employed at. Maybe Eric doesn’t realize membership dues, as well as being treated with respect keep us coming back. That’s the reason you have a job Eric. Eric there are several other facilities in Ogden that we can give our money to for the use of a gym. The manager over the phone and Eric treated me, “Good go there.” As if they have so much bussines that they don’t need to extend common courtesy. I would like the use of a gym, but I will not support a place of bussines in my town that treat me like I’m scamming them. I hope the kind people who showed me courtesy and demonstrated their appreciation of my patronage don’t get written up, all Eric had to do was treat me like a valued customer. I understand there are rules, but I figure that’s part of the JOB -to address misunderstandings with respect and patience. I am not a scammer and I was considering upgrading my status from PROSPECT to full member. Since Eric is having a problem with Ogden’s citizens taking services from His place of work, I would caution other Ogdenites to be careful not to be part of the scamming that is going on at this gym. They may treat you like a theif or maybe as if what they provide is more valuable than reaching out to give good customer service. I don’t like to write bad reviews without giving an explanation. I’m sorry Planet Fitness is having such troubles. I feel that better customer service would bring better clientele like Ogden citizens who are not out to cheat you out of gym services. I love Ogden and focus on keeping my monies in this city. I don’t know why you need to police your patrons as such, maybe trust the people who already use your services and they will build your business by word of mouth. Ogdenites Consider all your options “No Upgrade for me.” 🤨

I have been to multiple gyms and have held a gym membership here for about 3mo. In general, the equipment is new, even during peak business hours, the gym usually has enough equipment (due to its remodeling and expanding early this year) and it is always clean. I really like the culture. The only problem is that the employees are definitely hit and miss. I once walked in to find an employee laying on the front desk, taking a cat nap (it was 11:30am). Usually, the employees don't know enough about certain machines and lifts to help someone new out (Ive heard several conversations of customers asking employees how to do certain lifts and the employees don't know because its clear they don't work out). If I could give 3.5 I would as the score is mostly for the gym and not for the employees.

Reported that the majority of the elliptical machine were not working 9 months ago and they still aren't fixed. If you turn the resistance up on the elliptical machine the resistance doesn't go up or the gear slip when you add resistance to the machine.

I thought this was a month to month thing, but it's not. Be careful! My debit card got changed because of fraud and PF dinged me a service fee. I gave them my new information but they said I had to come in to settle the fee. I kept procrastinating going in to resolve it for 2 years because they would not let me do it over the phone...but they kept charging me my monthly and annual fees. I finally went in and the rude receptionist told me I had to pay $20 to cancel or they would keep debiting my account every month. She wouldn't even pretend to consider waiving the 20 bucks and let me continue being a member. It doesnt matter that I paid almost $400 in fees since I last stepped foot in the door...until I pay $20 more in extortion fees, I'm screwed!

I've been to other gyms in the past, after awhile they bore me & I lose my drive to go. Planet Fitness, I started with a basic membership for $10 a month & loved it so much that after 3 months I upgraded to the black membership so now I can bring a friend for free. I can't say much about the actual gym, since I go there for tanning and massage bed only. And they suck. I had called PF for more info on the beds. First time calling the Roy one, they had no clue. So I called Ogden gym and they told me, that their beds could compare to Ruva. I had signed up for one year membership and started. And every since I have been getting LIGHTER. I have lost the tan I initially had had. I thought " ok, I don't need to reach my skin's maximum as for the color, maintaining is good enough, since this membership is half of what I was paying at Sunny Beaches, Ogden. Ehhh.. after a month, I wanted to quit. Membership cancellation fee would be as high as keeping it for the rest of the year!! So I am staying. If for some reason I don't go tanning for 3 days, I get so pale, I can't stand it. With the real Ruva beds that they have at Sunny Beaches, it takes me a month to start loosing my tanning. Enough of that.
Now.. another fun staff. You have to clean the bed on your own after you are done. Not everybody does it, so I would highly recommend to clean it BEFORE and after your tanning session, if you don't wanna catch some athlete's foot or something. The cleaner doesn't smell like anything, so not sure, how desinfecting it is. In Sunny Beaches I can tell in a sleep, it's Lysol.
You need to bring your own eyewear too. And to wipe your self you can use paper towel. I personally hate that feel of recycled paper on my skin. Other saloons give u real towel, that has been bleached.
As for the hydrabed.. it's loud as hell and max time you can be on it is 10 min. It doesn't do much for me. I don't feel any difference, for more than 2 minutes anyway. You have to clean it on your own after your session is done.
In two other tanning saloons that I have had a membership for, I walk in, they already know me, I don't need so say nothing but the amount of minutes I want, sometimes not even that. I don't need to sign in, nothing... in oppose to Planet Fitness, when you need to tell them your number, fill up that and this and clean your beds and touch stuff, that nobody ever cleans ( hydra bed monitor). Ehhh.. ;(
