I would give 5 stars but the equipment is broken alot. And worn down. But I will say the gentlemen who are there at 4am every day are awesome guys! It's always very clean in the morning and they are so cheerful! It's one of the better parts of my day! I usually go to the draper one on Saturdays and Sundays which has newer equipment but the staff makes the difference for me I rather go to this location just because I feel so much more welcomed!!

I’ve used planet fitness for a few years now. I went in with a few of the older kids I was watching at her first a short time and they wanted to go to the gym.

To my surprise, kids under 13 can’t even enter the gym floor with 2 adults with them. The kid I was with was 12 nearly 13

I understand the need for safety but the fact that two adults were there that wouldn’t let them do anything to be hurt and they still didn’t let us in for less then an hour and a half…
I was dumbfounded to be told that.

My membership was canceled shortly after.

You can call this complaint dumb but if younger kids have a desire to workout and keep up in fitness and health id suggest the “judgement free” policy you have to be considered for younger kids

I had been putting off getting a membership due to some reviews I'd seen on here and finally I did it anyway and am so happy I did! It's clean, has very nice equipment and i think the night staff are the bees knees! I am a early early bird so jelly have really only dealt with the two night workers and they are truly so nice and always cleaning or keeping busy which i think would be so hard as a night shift worker. I haven't used the card yet and have had it for a month, paid the sign up cost and according to what I signed up for, the black card, I owe $24.99.
Blocking these crooks from accessing my bank and putting them on blast with my friends, a few of whom are yt creators and influencers and one has a few channels with millions of subs. Get stuffed with the random $52.55 charge.

PS - I paid my monthly dues of $26.86 on the 16th of April so don't reply with maybe it's a late fee.

PPS: Should also mention I'm disabled < on disability> and genuinely am not sure what I signed up for.

Overall looks clean but the were quite a few broken equipment. Mainly the back patting on the chairs for the arms equipment. Also there seemed to be a homeless man here wondering around randomly jumping form machine to machine kinda playing which judgement I didn't mind until he started watching people. And when he walked past me I saw that his shirt said planet fitness, I believe it also said manger cause it was black but I couldn't tell under his 2 big coats (that didn't say staff or anything). As for the rest of the staff they were all on their phones and non of the 2 staff at the counter even noticed that I came in. But overall clean and nice looking other than a few cleaning bottles on the equipment not put away.

Great place to workout, but I was surprised and DISAPPOINTED when I discovered the Sandy location does NOT have Fox 13 on any TV!

I had noticed the problem a couple times during the season, but it's Super Bowl Sunday! I'm going back to the Draper location!

BTW, they have Fox News, CNN, TNT, A&E, and even HGTV, but NO Fox!

I recently had a very frustrating experience with Planet Fitness regarding the cancellation of my membership and the subsequent extra fees I was charged. Months ago, I visited my local club to cancel my membership. When I inquired about my account, the staff informed me that they couldn't find any record of it. Assuming that my account had already been canceled, I left it at that, especially since the payments had stopped.However, I was shocked to discover recently that not only was my account still active, but I had also been charged several extra fees. When I went back to the club to resolve the issue, I spoke with the manager. Not only was she unhelpful, but she was also extremely rude and dismissive. She insisted that my account was active and that the charges were valid, despite their previous inability to locate my account.This experience has been incredibly frustrating, with the manager's rude behavior making the situation even worse. The lack of accountability and transparency in their handling of this matter is appalling. I strongly caution anyone considering joining Planet Fitness to be aware of their disorganized and misleading membership management and poor customer service.

Place is filthy enough to catch C-19 all over again, the place is run by kids…literally. There are many other PF’s run by better management in the SLC area, I would avoid this location at all costs. I have signed up for a total of three memberships for different gyms. After some consideration I went to the sandy location to get a tour and make sure this gym would be a good fit for me. I was greeted by Ray and he gave me an in-depth tour with excellent explanations, he answered every single one of my questions, and let me try out the location before I officially committed. I made my decision that I would sign up basically right then. This was the easiest gym sign up process I have ever gone through. And have seriously loved the location, plus all of the necessary machines are in abundance for my preferred work out. I seriously would like for Ray to get some recognition for making this process so smooth and effortless. Bravo 👏

I’ve been going to the Sandy location nearly a year and it’s been good. The massage chairs could use replacing but I’m happy they’re there. But recently they hired new staff and some new dude has been going around interrupting people’s workouts to tell people to return and wipe down equipment they are literally in the middle of using. It’s worth noting that I’ve never noticed a problem of people returning or wiping down their equipment without being told. It is really annoying and uncomfortable to have staff act this way.

The gym has all the expected apparatus you'd expect from a gym in various levels of repair. You can sign up for the gym online, but they require cancellations to be done in person. Cancelled on the 13th of August, got billed again on the 17th because "I cancelled too close to the billing date", but they put a last bill date as the 17th, so if you sign up here expect some shady billing if you cancel.

I love this gym! I just left another gym because after years and years I was just not impressed with their cleanliness, equipment and some staff. Plant Fitness, however, is so clean and super nice. Been to quite a few Planet Fitness locations and this is by far the best one, all of them are good but the location and setup of this one is excellent. Thanks for putting one close to home! The staff is very friendly and the facility is very clean.

Update: Started coming back here after my employer offered a discount for Vasa, didn't stay at Vasa very long. The staff at Planet Fitness is much nicer and more helpful. They're cleaner and have more options. Ultimately I'll never go anywhere but Planet Fitness after that failed experiment.

What I love about The PF, Planet fitness is the cleanliness, the uncrowded machines and the helpful staff. I do wish they had classes though, like spin…however, let us talk about the upside! The gym itself, and this is a reflection on the owner, could significantly do better when it comes to checking equipment, ensuring their cable machines don’t have metal shards extruding from the height positioning holes (been stabbed twice and they cut deep)

There is always a tv or two that is frozen or broken both in front of the treadmill or throughout the gym. They normally stay like that for months on end.

Machines have recently been upgraded which is nice and have some new bike machines. However, I’ve also seen a machine stay broken for months as well.

The hand sanitizer stations have issues being kept full.

One of the men’s bathroom sinks had also separated from the counter.

Not sure what’s going on with these parts of the gym. Sometimes it just seems to be falling apart. I figure part of the blame is on the backlog of work whoever does PF maintenance has to get through before servicing this location. But that would mean a larger PF franchise problem. The other part of the problem could be handled by owner itself. Hopefully it does and I would change my review.

I’ve never seen the employees not open the gym on time except today. Everything was turned on by 6am but no one was apparently inside and the doors were locked. More than two dozen people have come and gone in the 45 minutes I’ve been here.

I went to planet fitness recently I heard online that some people had a bad experience with planet fitness so I decided to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised that was not the case. The gym is a convenient location however the facilities is not clean compared to other locations in the area. I’ve visited this location on multiple occasions and experience the same issues. The bathroom urinals have pink mildew and floors have build up in corners. The equipment is not wipe down regularly. The staff stands has 2-3 people standing at the front texting.The paper towels is consistently out. The machines are worn out in core area. I do not recommend this location as the ownership does not invest in the facilities.

I would say pretty new or they do a good job at keeping clean the equipment, the black card members area.
I have been going late this week ( like 7 am or so) and definitely too crowded for me but it is because I like to work out when the sun is not even up yet.

This planet used to be the best one in The Valley.. Since they've gone through a management change the facility has really gone down hill. It's constantly dirty and the staff is rude. The GM wears sweats and a t-shirt and gets irritated when you need something. They also have an issue with being open when they are supposed to be. Online the app and door signage will say they are open but the gym is locked with no one there. Do yourself a favor pick a different gym.

Honestly have had a good experience here. It has pretty much everything I would want from a gym and is generally not crowded at all. Staff is nice as well.

Clean, fairly quiet gym. Bought a membership here over winter break to exercise while away from college and didn't realize you typically have to wait 90 days to transfer your membership- my own mistake, but Garrett (I believe) the GM was super helpful and helped me transfer to another location in my hometown. Thanks!

This place is an Absolute Nightmare. Great for headaches, NOT Workouts!
DO NOT COME TO ANY PLANET FITNESS LOCATION. Do yourself a favor, buy a set of dumbbells and workout at home. Run around your neighborhood for crying out loud! Just DO NOT Come here. Enough said.
