I've been all over the country and this is the worst Planet Fitness I've visited. It's dirty. The machines and weights are worn out. Many machine plates are missing the weight tags. The cable attachments are worn out. The machine seats and pads are torn and indented. The walls are really marked up and need to be repainted.

All that and I've only ever seen one employee work at a time and they're always behind the counter doing nothing. Today, the employee chatted with someone for 30 minutes at the front counter. They don't even scan your bar codes, they just leave the scanner on the counter to do it yourself.

Basically, the employees are lazy and the place is in bad shape.

The convenience of this place is so good for me. I work graveyards and can go right after work or even on a break during the week because it's open 24/7 and has tanning beds and massage chairs and a hydro bed thing and awesome workout equipment and great locker rooms. The price is great as well and I can bring a friend and use all the amenities and go to amy location anywhere I go. Love it so much.

I’ve been to Planet fitness gyms in 6-7 states. I love Planet Fitness. However this one is way out of date, small, shaky machines everywhere, no pull ups bars - it has half of the machines I’ve seen in ever other one and every bench is shaky and wobble a lot of machines don’t work properly. This gym needs a face lift, it’s surprising people come here but for $10 that’s why. Somebody help this gym it ruins the Planet Fitness name that I love so much. The only reason I’m got two stars is because I’m driving across the country and it exists.

First impression. PF St George.. I have no idea why a gym doesn't open until 700am on a Saturday. And I am sitting in the parking lot, AFTER 700am waiting for the doors to open. First PF I have ever experienced this with. Many gym goers aren't wired to tolerate this well.

Don't waste your money here. I have been a loyal member for about a year and have had nothing but problems. From people coming up to me and insulting me to faulty machines that do not stand still while on them (I'm only 5'2" and 115 lb) to account issues including fraud, they have proven to be one of the most unprofessional businesses that cannot be trusted. Currently, I have been trying to get ahold of someone who can cancel my membership, but they cannot because the owner has not been there. I believe that this issue should have been resolved a few days ago, but the only people who are trying to help me out cannot do anything about this without his help. The best thing that I have enjoyed about coming here are the front desk people and being able to workout, but if you are looking for high quality equipment, customer service and management, don't come to Planet Fitness.

I have been a member at planet fitness for a year. In the last month I have been having a really big issue canceling my membership. I’m moving, I have school expenses and can’t afford to continue my membership. I went into the fitness center the first week of August to cancel. I walked in and spoke to the front staff person about canceling and avoiding the annual fee as I could not afford it. The front person was on older gentleman and seemed new to the job because he turned to Denise who looked like she was working on paperwork, and asked what to do. Denise turned to us and said I would need to call member services for canceling and talk about reimbursement she had the staff member give me a phone number. I left disappointed because I wanted to cancel that day and I needed to avoid being charged anything else. I called the number the next day and I was on the phone for 35 minutes just for them to tell me there was nothing they could do. I needed to cancel in person, the phone rep was surprised when I told her I was given this number by staff to cancel and told there was nothing they could do that day. Due to the misinformation I was given. My membership was not canceled I was charged again. I now have a total charge of 72.19 for my account and I don’t have that money to pay. I went back in to the fitness center to talk to staff about why I was given the wrong information and how I could resolve this. Matt the trainer was there and I walked him through my situation, he was very understanding and apologized for the miscommunication stating I needed to speak with Denise about canceling.
I remembered Denise when I saw her because she was the one that said I needed to call. I started to tell her what happened and let her know she gave me the wrong information that due to this I was being charged. She got very hostile, and defensive. She said she would never give that information out, and that it wasn’t her problem. I was taken back by her attitude as I was speaking kindly, and trying not to escalate the situation. Matt was there and if asked I’m sure will let you know how rude she was being. She asked “why did you leave without canceling then?” I stated, “you said I had to call to cancel, you couldn’t do it here”. She cut me off and said “ No, you have to cancel in person, I didn’t say that.” She kept doing this back and forth with me, this women almost had me tears arguing with me about what she said and didn’t say and then how she couldn’t remember me anyway. Why was she arguing with me about what happened, and then say she can’t remember what happened?
I let her know that the day I came to cancel she was busy with paperwork and didn’t really know what I requesting, which’s where I think the miscommunication happened. In a hurry she gave me that number and thought nothing of it. I’m sure that if she would have actually listened to my request we would not be in this situation. I work in customer service and you don’t treat customers this way. let alone people in general “The customer is always right!”. Mistakes happen and miscommunication can cause more issues but it is important to take responsibility for your actions and resolve the issue. Not keep giving excuses as to why it’s not your fault or your problem. If my customer has a problem, it’s definitely my problem and I’m going to resolve it! I HAVE EMAILED OUT THIS! IVE CALLED! TAKEN TIME OUT OF WORK TO TRY ANDCATCH THIS OWNER THAT IS NEVER AVAILABLE. THE FRONT DESK IS NO HELP. ALL I GET IS TRY LATER, CALL. EMAIL HIM !?? WTFFF

Place was neat and tidy. Overall great experience that I expect. However, giving only one star because of how the older male worker greeted my guest and I. I didn’t know that I was supposed to sign my guest in as I have never had to do that at other locations. The man behind the counter was pretty rude while questioning me about my guest and tossed me a clip board to fill out my guests info on. Definitely made me feel like I was doing something wrong even though I pay for the right to do this....If this gentlemen is upset with PF’s guest policies, that’s something he needs to take up with corporate not patrons. I am more than willing to comply with any policies but I would rather be treated in a respectful manner.

Great place for simple workouts. Planet Fitness is not ideal for serious lifters or if you want to test your strength or max.

+ they have plenty of free weights and I never have to wait for a bench.
+ private showers
+ a tanning bed is always available.
+ gym is never too full, rarely have to wait for equipment.
+ treadmills, bikes, etc always available.

- dumbbells only go up to 75 lbs.
- Smith machine only. There is no bench press!
- fixed weight barbells/ez-bar only! These only go up to 65 lbs.
- no way to do squats, deadlifts, etc, except in Smith machine.
- far less equipment than other local gyms.

I simply love this gym. It's conveniently located right off the freeway, surrounding by a lot of other businesses. You can easily find it when you drive by or go to TJ Maxx on River Road (there is only one in town) so you can’t miss it. The parking is super spacious and always available. There is also a plenty of restaurants nearby just in case you need to get some food after the workout. Great equipment and by far better than other gyms in the area. Clean, friendly, good vibes and environmentally minded. Unbeatable price!!! Highly recommend it!!!

The same machines have been "temporarily out of service" here for the last 3+ years that I've been coming here. Including the drinking fountain that has the sides busted out. A lot of machines and equipment have padding on them that is cracked and gross. This is all bearable for $10 a month, but the worst thing at this location is really that it's always full of lunks dropping weights, and the staff doesn't know how to use the alarm or refuses to. Think twice before signing up here!

I have been a member here at planet fitness for over 4 years and would state it simply as “you get what you pay for”. It is extremely affordable and takes care of my workout needs, though the locker room can be in need of cleaning at times and the workout equipment seems a bit dated, overused, and sometimes broken. It unfortunately can also feel a bit cramped in there at times (peak hours) with the amount of people compared to amount of space and workout equipment. However, the staff are always friendly and work to resolve any issue that arises and I have felt welcome walking through their doors every week.

Giving this place one star because I didn't like the way I was being treated by the manager. I came in because after months of going to the gym one of the works finally stopped me and told me I had an over due balance that was a year old that I had zero idea about! They also showed me my account and said that not only do I have an over due balance, but that the system hasn't even been charging me every month (and it's not that my card was being cancelled or on hold every month but that I'm not even being billed month to month! $0.00) Greatful that one of the workers actually notified me of the issue I came in the next morning (like I was told to do) to figure out the situation and pay what I owed. I talked to one of the workers and was shown again that I wasn't even being billed by the system month to month and was told that I was the third person that came in that day having the same issue. He went and got his manager and I immediately didn't like the way I was being treated by the manager. He came at me with questions, assumptions and attitude trying to make me feel like that I was lying and knew about the over due balance the whole time. Their system wasn't charging me for months and not one worker there notified me until almost a year later. I was also told that they have been calling me, texting me and emailing me about my over due balance. However, I have received ZERO of that and was met yet again with attitude and assumptions that I was lying. Then I got accused of going to my bank and telling them not to let Planet Fitness charge me. Which isn't true either, plus it's $10. All I came in for was to pay my over due balance and to make sure that I'm getting charged every month so that way I don't have anymore issues or get anything sent to collections. But instead was treated rudely. I would have appreciated it if I would have been shown respect when talking to the manager. I didn't like that I was met with this preconceived notion that I was lying and was there to start problems. The issue is now fixed thank god! They made me a new account and I downloaded the app so that way I can make sure I'm actually being charged every month. However, I don't like the manager and there is definitely something up with their system.

This has to be one of the worst PFs I have been to and I have been to many of them. I give it two stars just for the fact that the woman at the front desk was very nice. Other than that it is a very dated location. The men’s shower area is filthy. Worse than some prisons I been in! Sinks in the locker room very nasty. Equipment was old . It is a shame this is part of the PF brand. I just want to say for anyone that goes to this location please don’t allow it to cause you to make a bad judgement on the PF brand. This location is nothing like many of them. This is definitely not normal for PF. The franchise owner should be ashamed of themselves for not stepping up to the standards PF has for their gyms. Someone from the corporate office really should drop in there unexpectedly.

I've been to some really good planet fitnesses in Vegas, but this one is much weaker in several ways.

1) I have only ever seen 1 lady working at this gym the 10 times or so I've been here. She is obviously frazzled, and the few times I've asked for anything she tries to go too fast or is distracted by something else to properly help. She is friendly, but when your the only worker manning the station, you have to make time for your other duties.

2)It's a small gym It is noticeably smaller than other PF's .Probably bc it's older. It's noticeable though in the free weight area and the weight machines. I am sure if it ever gets truly busy you would need a ticket for a bench near the free weights. Still there are plenty of cardio equipment except no rowing machines.

3) it's not open 24 hours... It closes at 9 which is too early sometimes.

Other little things, the wifi was down last week and it appeared to be down again a couple days ago. Things like that need be fixed by now.

Hydro massage was full of someone's sweat last week. Again I don't think the one lady that works there has the time to properly clean the machines. Never have used the locker room or bathroom at that locale so can't comment on it.

I like PF in general for the value, but this PF in St George is one of the worst I've been to thus far. Hopefully it improves or better yet they build a bigger one.

My husband found out he qualified for the Silver Sneakers program for those on Medicare. The yearly fee came up on May 1st. His annual with Medicare starts June 1. The owner refused to give a partial credit on the yearly fee. I would not recommend this facility for membership. There are 2 other choices in this area VASA Fitness & Washington City Community Center. Before you give this man business where he oesnt support people on a fixed income try one of these other options.

Had a great experience working out here with my first gym membership. As cheesy as it sounds, it's certainly judgement-free. I had the basic, $10/mo membership.

The bathrooms were always clean and there's plenty of available lockers. The parking lot had plenty of spaces, it's near the university for workouts after class, and you get discounts on smoothies at the Orange Peel if you show proof of membership.

There were many televisions hung on the wall, and a good amount of equipment to use (I think of this for those days when I don't want anybody on the treadmill next to me, just avoid busy times or ignore them).

Slight issues I had were with the one of two drinking fountains that worked. People would gather in line which was interaction I wanted to avoid. I also didn't understand that pizza day they have, and I kept eyeing those Tootsie Rolls at the front desk. D:<

When I quit (due to my membership going unused, o o p s) you do have to go into the PF and speak to the front desk, but it was the easiest thing! I want to mention one of the staff who always works at the front desk - I can't even think of her name, but she was always so welcoming (middle aged woman, she's always there, calls you sweetheart).

I "cancelled" my membership back in September of 2016.... It never got cancelled and has been coming out of my bank account since.
I had fraud on my bank account, so missed a payment, went in to pay/cancel my membership and the woman helping me had no clue what she was doing. I ran my card for the month I missed due to debt card fraud, and she had me run it 3 separate times because it her machine wasn't working supposedly. It said pending out of my bank account 3 times. She said to follow up the next day. I did, and she said it was still pending the cancellation, so to not worry, it was working. The next month, it charged me. I called, they said there were no notes of cancellation, so i said i wanted to cancel again. They said they would. I called again today, as it's STILL coming out of my account! Today the woman helping me (much better than the last two times) said she called the owner... and since there were still no notes, there was no "proof" (other than i hadn't used it in months, thinking it was cancelled), so they could not refund. They said they would wave the $20 that was still owed from when my debit card had a hold on it... so i'm still out $40, and HOPEFULLY it will really be cancelled this time. So all in all, I would not recommend this gym to anyone with all the issues i've had. I wish some of the staff was better trained on the software.

Been a member for 3 years. Relaxed workout. Not a crazy gym. People are down to earth, do their workout and go on with life. I use most machines, treadmills and ellipticals. TERRIBLE. I signed up for a black card membership while living in St. George. The gym was decent, kinda small and would occasionally get crowded but not terrible. However, I moved out of town after about 4 months into the year long contract I had to sign to get the black card membership. There isn't a location that is close enough to be convenient to where I moved, but I signed the contract so I continued to pay until after the year I agreed to - which is fine. I then called to cancel my membership and was told that I'd have to mail in a letter requesting the cancellation via certified mail, which is a little ridiculous, but I did it anyways. This is where things got bad.

I called a few days after mailing in the cancellation request and the employee I spoke with informed me they received my letter and my membership would be cancelled so I made the mistake of believing them and didn't hold onto the receipt for the certified mail delivery. I was then charged my monthly membership fee a few weeks later, I was frustrated but didn't take the time to call yet, I was then charged the annual membership fee and decided it was time to call. I spoke with an employee who told me they had two guests with the same name which probably explains why I was still getting charged, he said he couldn't do anything but would have the owner call me.

A day or so later I received a call from the owner named Josh Moran who told me he had no proof of my cancellation notice and would be out of business if he believed everyone. I explained that I spoke with an employee who confirmed it was delivered, he said he had no proof I was being honest, and would need documentation to refund me the $60 I had been charged since sending in the cancellation notice. We went back and forth and I explained to him that I did what I was instructed and would be writing a review of my experience with him and his business, he got very upset and accused me of threatening him and trying to extort money from him, this is where I hung up. I then checked my computer and found the original word draft of the cancellation notice that shows the creation date was in August, I emailed that in, I received a follow up email that my membership was cancelled now, but I wouldn't be receiving a refund of the money that was wrongfully taken from my account. Terrible way to run a business, I won't be giving any planet fitness my money again.

Best gym ever. Fantastic atmosphere, and the equipment is in excellent shape. All the employees are friendly and helpful! 10/10 with rice.
