I was in town for a couple of weeks because of work, and the team at CrossFit Posse were fantastic.
I felt at home and welcome from my very first drop-in session.
The coaches were really friendly, welcoming and introduced me to the group. When there was an exercise or movement that was new, to me, just because of different styles at different gyms they explained without making you feel silly.
The style is relaxed, yet plenty of scope for you to challenge yourself as much as you need in the workout.
Definitely recommend this as either a regular gym or for a drop-in if you are only in town for a short time.

I started crossfit about 6 months ago. Was a little skeptical, but decided to give it a try. I was amazed how much personal attention and help these coaches give. One of my biggest fear was to get hurt, which I thought was pretty common in crossfit world. But actually discovering that it is very safe, but challanging and engaging. Classes schedule fits perfect for my needs. The structure and scalability of the workout allow me to push the limits but not get bored or injured. My favorite coaches are Jason, Ryan and Brianne and Eliza. Thank you, guys for helping me reach my goals!

Honest Opinion: You're worked extremely hard and you'll definitely sweat a lot. Once you've seen a week of training, I feel like you've seen it all, with some minor differences here in there in routine. I felt like there was definitely a clique or an already well-established tight-knit group, and I did feel like an outsider. But they managed to be courteous, though not as friendly as they were with each other (except for a few genuinely nice people). I did get yelled at, literally, for staring at the instructor periodically while he instructed us to exercise (which I found very odd--because most exercise classes want you to look at the instructor so that you can follow them). He could have pulled me aside and been more mature and respectful; much preferred. And because I couldn't look at the instructors, I'd get lost!--very odd and kind of funny. ??? I went to another crossfit and that was not the case at all (Crossfit Dixie). I also got yelled at for smiling because it indicated that I wasn't taking the class serious enough or something like that; I'm not sure. I was literally told that if I was able to breath and smile, then I wasn't doing it right and I wasn't working hard enough. One of the instructors, Matt, was always really friendly and respectful. A common thing I noticed too was how hard everyone was on themselves and not in a healthy way. I'd give an honest compliment about how amazing someone was doing and I was consistently blown off (not always, but often). When someone's lifting 4x me, I think that's awesome and admirable--and I wish it was seen and accepted as a success, and not anything less. Yes, you can always do better, but at least recognize where you came from and where you are now and be respectful towards someone who literally has 10x the work to do to catch up. I literally had a girl roll her eyes at me after a sincere, quick, honest compliment--which killed my self esteem. If you think you suck, then how much more do you think I suck?! After a month of other really odd, awkward things, I started to like it less and less. It was just very awkward. I started strong and really liked it at first, until the fronts went away and I tried to become a part of the group. The Owner and his wife are two of the nicest individuals in the industry--and maybe they don't know about what goes on when they aren't around. Very expensive ($600+ for 3 months, and they only have a min 3 month contract). Very Serious (and sometimes not in a fun way). Very cliquey (but not with everyone). Very Hard (In a good way!) Owners are really kind and helpful. I'd only recommend if you're already in amazing shape; it'll allow you into the clique faster and to not have to look at the instructor for constant guidance. Overall: Good Place, Great Exercise

If you are googling crossfit gyms you are probably looking for a place to finally see what all the fuss is about and try it out. Look no further. You might be nervous about walking in for the first time and witnessing a gaggle of athletes much more fit than yourself staring back at you judging you and how you have let yourself go. DO NOT BE NERVOUS. It could not be any more to the contrary. Crossfit Posse has an incredibly inclusive feeling. Everybody from the Athletes to the world class coaches could not be more friendly and genuinely concerned for your improvement of fitness and life in general. No matter what your level of ability is you will have no problems getting the ball rolling towards a healthier you. Just walk right in, classes start on the hour in the morning and evening, talk to Ryan or Brianne. You will be happy you did.

Excellent variety in programming, intentionally friendly atmosphere, coaches who know when to encourage and when to push. I've been here for over two years and have no plans to ever go anywhere else.
