Preventing Decline Lifestyle Assessment is an evidence-based service designed to evaluate key lifestyle factors that influence cognitive health. Together, we'll help you develop a personalized plan, plus provide the support needed to change your long-term habits and behaviors.
The Functional Fitness Assessment is designed to help identify your greatest physical needs, address specific movement dysfunctions and create an exercise prescription customized to you and your objectives.

I took a Functional Fitness Assessment from Kevin Weston Director of Wellness at Preventing Decline in St George, Utah. Kevin is an exercise physiologist with years of experience. During the Assessment, he identified areas where I was doing well, areas where I was average compared to others in my age group, and areas where I was deficient or below average. He then developed an exercise prescription based on the Fitness Assessment keying in on 1. Strength Training; Cardiovascular Training; 3. Flexibility Training; and 4. Balance Training. I feel confident that my faithful adherence to the exercise prescription will result in, as the program says: βPreventing Declineβ in my overall health and fitness. I will be following up with Kevin in the future to ensure that these goals are met.

I attended a presentation given by Kevin. It was informative and audience-centered, and brought home the need - now, not later - that people (I) need to take steps to improve and maintain my well-being, for the life I lead today, and critically for my life into the future.
I then had an assessment (done virtually) by Kevin. It was a thorough and comprehensive evaluation, involving both an interview, as well as physical tests and observations. The fact that it was virtual did not detract from the process or thoroughness, and was actually very convenient. Kevin is patient, skilled, knowledgeable, engaging and easy to talk to. He really targeted getting to know my specific goals and objectives, while also identifying my physical deficits and limitations, as well as my strengths. He then designed a plan of action to address both my objectives and my current physical condition. The plan was designed to fit my lifestyle, and utilize equipment and resources I already have.
I was very pleased with my experience with Kevin, would happily recommend his services to really anyone - itβs never too early to explore issues of decline, and begin working toward insuring a better future.
