Awesome gym to drop into. I was in SLC for 3 days on a work trip. They have open gym during their group class hours. The gym is huge so there’s no worry about being in anyone’s way. The coaches were super accommodating too, fun to chat with and from what I heard of their individual training, very knowledgeable.
Looking forward to coming back next time I’m up there for work. Next time I’ll skip my oly programming to do the programmed WODs

Very high quality coaching and programming. Great community.
With businesses in general and gyms in particular, I often get the feeling that they are mostly trying to make money from me and are just trying to do enough to convince me to pay. This gym is not like that. Here, the health of the members comes first. The coaches genuinely care about the work they do. This is pretty damn rare and I'm glad I was lucky enough to find this one.

Outstanding!! Salt Lake City CrossFit is an incredible gym!
From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed, challenged, and supported. The coaching staff is next-level: knowledgeable, encouraging, and invested in your progress and safety. They take the time to correct form, offer scaling options when needed, and meet you exactly where you are. The programming is consistently well thought-out, balanced, and fun.
What really sets this place apart is the community! The members here are some of the most positive, driven, and friendly people I’ve ever met.

Drop in review: I dropped in at CrossFit Salt Lake City while attending a conference at the Salt Palace Convention Center, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. It’s conveniently located just a short scooter ride from the Hyatt Regency, which made it super easy to fit a workout into my busy schedule.
As a drop-in, I appreciated how welcoming and accommodating the team was. Even though Wodify wasn’t working for me, they quickly handled everything manually, which made the process seamless. They also helped resolve a small payment issue right away—super professional and kind throughout.
The workout itself was great! I did an open gym workout but you could tell the members and coaches were genuinely dedicated. The energy in the gym was positive—it’s clear this is a community that loves what they do.
If you’re in town for an event and looking for a solid gym with a friendly vibe, CrossFit Salt Lake City is a fantastic choice. I’ll definitely stop by again if I’m back in the area!

Everyday I go here I realize I may need to go for many more years before I’ll ever complete a work out of the day within the given time allotment. Absolutely love SLC CrossFit!

When I first considered starting Crossfit, I'll admit I was pretty intimidated. I even held off on signing up until I could convince a friend to join me. Looking back, I realize there was no need to wait—this community at SLC CrossFit is incredibly welcoming and supportive, right from the start.
The coaches here are nothing short of fantastic, and I want to give a special shout-out to Coach Elijah. I had the opportunity to work with him during a challenging time in my life when I really needed extra support. We set up a 1:1 session to develop a tailored fitness plan, and that session turned out to be a game-changer for me -- it was the start of months of work together. Elijah was more than just a coach; he became a true friend. He was genuinely invested in my success, pushing me when I needed it and offering support every step of the way.
Thanks to this amazing community and the guidance from Coach Elijah I received, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve lost 25 pounds, I feel fantastic, and I’ve gained a lifelong friend. If you're on the fence about trying Crossfit, take it from me—give SLC Crossfit a chance. You might just find exactly what you need to meet your fitness goals and more!

I was slightly apprehensive (but simultaneously excited for a new opportunity) to join SLC CrossFit just because of the stigma of "CrossFit". Would I feel comfortable here? Would I even be able to do any of the workouts? All of my insecurities disappeared in the first class. I immediately felt welcomed. My 6 AM attendees are all so very supportive, kind, and strong. The natural tendency to compare just doesn't exist anymore, instead I'm focused on my own journey of strength and growth. I truly feel stronger and more healthy.
I value SLC CrossFit's coaches in their positivity, implementation of mindfulness, and immense knowledge of biomechanics and anatomy. The coaches ensure I use proper form and the correct weight, while I establish the muscle memory for the different exercises. I have never had that kind of attention and coaching in any of the workout classes I have attended. I finally feel like I've found a space with a philosophy that aligns with my health goals while also providing that "just right" challenge.
I would highly recommend SLC CrossFit, because it truly is a space for EVERYONE.

Joining Salt Lake City Crossfit was one of the best decisions I've made. When I signed up to complete the Foundations and Nutrition courses with Brock, I was sedentary and unhappy with where I was physically. At the beginning, I was at 23% body fat. At the end of the three months, I was at 18%. I lost 10 pounds of body fat and gained 9 pounds of muscle. Seeing before and after pictures of myself after the three months were over with were night and day.
The gym and classes are excellent. The coaches are very friendly and show you better posture and positions if you're struggling with an exercise. There's no judgment in the gym, just a bunch of nice people trying to improve themselves.

From the moment I walked into the doors of SLC Crossfit in January of 2023 and was greeted by Molly E, I felt at home. The staff want to do life with you and know how you are doing genuinely. They care about who you are as a person and want you to thrive in and outside the gym. Crossfit can be very intimidating but the coaches meet you where you are at, and help you progress. They are your biggest cheerleaders. A few months in as a member, I decided to do Nutrition coaching with Elijah. I felt that I was not eating enough to be as powerful as I wanted in the workouts. Elijah helped me work through my mental barriers with nutrition. I am now eating better and enough to help me power through the day and workouts feeling strong. I am grateful for the staff and community at SLC Crossfit.

TLDR- Love SLC CrossFit, sign up immediately for a drop in (if from out of of town) or become a member.
For those of you looking for a little more- I'll be breaking this review into a few portions- 8 Week program with Coach Elijah (Eli), Physical Gym, Coaches, Members.
8 Week Program with Coach Eli- At the end of July I realized I was in a bad place with the Berlin Marathon coming up in 7 weeks. I reached out to Eli about a program and he shared with me there was an 8 week focus plan that included personalized nutrition, weekly check ins, personal training, and mindset coaching. Exactly what I knew I needed, but also so much more with some unexpected results.
At the end of the 8 weeks I had some pretty significant changes:
Down 17.7lbs of pure fat, up 3.9lbs in muscle
20+ solo Hypertrophy workouts (something I wanted to work on)
Worked out with my Father for the first time
Changed my relationship with alcohol for the significant better
Person Record for the Marathon
Did I work hard? I sure did.
Did I expect all this in 8 weeks? Not in a million years. I should add in I also still drank (although that's changed a ton for the better), wasn't perfect on nutrition, had trips to Minnesota, Seattle, North Carolina, Mexico, and Germany. I lived my life; just more intentionally.
Do I think I there was any way I could have done the above without Eli? No, I don't. The check ins, the coaching, and the relentless pursuit of goals has rewired my brain when it comes to fitness and lifestyle and I'm extremely grateful for all of the help. Over the course of 8 weeks working out changed from something I did to lose weight to a lifestyle overhaul.
Huge thank you!
The rest of this is regarding SLC CrossFit overall:
The Physical Gym. SLC CrossFit is a top gym that's designed to challenge you and work hard. The aesthetics are perfect for the "let's get to work" attitude that the members and coaches embody. You have all of the tools of a CrossFit gym and a very impressive weightlifting setup with a ton of extra space (it's very easy to come in during classes to do my own thing).
Coaches- World class. I can't think of a better descriptor. I've done dozens of CrossFit Gyms and hundreds of other group fitness classes. Every one of the coaches cares deeply about you using correct form first and foremost, and then getting better, faster, and stronger. Truly a great group of people to look up to and inspire you to do more. After being here a year you'll see some new faces occasionally but extra special shoutout to Kelly, Brock, Nat, Mike, Eli, Mollie, and Aaron for your coaching and help.
Members- What a great group of folks. Every class you'll find people wanting to partner, cheer you on to get the last rep, and inspire you to want more. Extremely welcoming group of people, many of whom straight up dominate the workouts and are still humble and kind. No egos here.
If you've read this far, stop over thinking it and show up to a class. Looking forward to seeing you in the gym!

I did the 12 week transformation challenge with Brock and absolutely loved it! I came in with a goal to lose fat while staying strong and doing something I love - lifting heavy and olympic lifting. After a few years of getting an autoimmune disorder under control, I was ready to get back into fitness but needed direction and coaching and this program was perfect. I chose this program because of the attention to habit building and health education that helps you in the LONG TERM. I've completed the 12 wks and my physique has noticeably changed and I'm not stopping there! I continue to go to class, track habits, and review them with Brock monthly. My favorite thing about SLC CrossFit is their attention to lifting form. Every coach cares about the members lifting correctly which is so important when we're doing these complex movements with heavy weight. I've honestly never been to a gym more dedicated to this. If you're looking to make a change in a safe environment, I highly recommend SLC CrossFit!!

They encourage me to do my best. I also have learned how to eat in portions. I enjoy this salt lake city cross fit and will keep going as part of my weekly routine.

I just finished the 12 week program with Elijah Bowers as my coach. I have never regularly worked out in my 32 years, or eaten 3 balanced meals a day since being a teenager (still working on this). The gym has always been intimidating to me due to not knowing what I'm doing or not having a gym buddy. Elijah's passion and knowledge for fitness made it very easy for me to learn the techniques needed to perform the workouts during class. He always responded to messages from me and constantly checked up on me about progress and personal issues. All of the other coaches were very friendly, always greeted me by name, and would help improve my techniques during WOD. I can honestly say that I never feel intimidated or stressed about going to the gym anymore. I would definitely recommend the 12 week program and a membership at this gym.

I was a little apprehensive about going to CrossFit since I’m dealing with a lot of injuries. Hips, lower back, shoulder and knees. We signed up for the foundation training through Brock and it was a game changer. He helped me in my positioning for lifts which freed up my hips from the painful rotating pinch. He was able to identify weaknesses and gave me exercises to build strength and mobility. My focus isn’t being a CrossFit athlete. I play golf now and Brock was able to help me be a better golfer with better posture and movements to get rid of the pain I was dealing with. He says his goal is to make me better at what I aspire to do vs just lifting.

I have always been intimidated by crossfit. It never seemed like "my vibe". This was all until I went, and realized most everyone in the class looked like me. My favorite part are all the scaling options in class. I would see 10 pull up's on the board knowing I could not even do one. The coaches are very knowledgable and showed me ways a band could assist me. There are all sorts of scalable options to help you progress. I would highly recommend this gym.

I signed up for the 12 week challenge and have been going for 6 weeks now. I’ve lost 10 pounds of fat and gained 6 pounds of muscle. The workouts are hard but but I’m finally in the swing of things and look forward to classes. The coaches are great and everyone is super helpful. I was in town for Masters Weightlifting National Championships. After the event, and after several days of hiking, I dropped in to SLC Crossfit for a training session. I’ve been coming for over a month now and so far it’s been a great experience of personal growth and reaching my goals!
The coaches have been wonderful, like Sydney, Brock, and Johnny. I’ve felt encouraged and not afraid to ask for help because they genuinely want you to reach your goals. The community of those who go for the same reasons are really nice people. I love coming here after work and really focus on loving myself and my body more ❤️
Unfortunately not all coaches are like this, and I really do have to say, at times some bring a certain negativity that makes you question their position to be a coach.
Yesterday when I attempted to do a certain move that I needed help with, I asked the coach for help and she was guiding me through it. And as I continued to do the move, I knew that I had to stop or else I could hurt myself.
So I listened to my body and told the coach I was going to stop right there because I know my own body, and I would only hurt it by continuing the move.
What surprised me was her response, “ So you’re giving up”?
When I tell you I was in shock and explained my reason for stopping, she only seemed annoyed by my response, I was frustrated.
I strongly recommend that the gym teaches their coaches to not pressure those of us who are new, if we say we’re not comfortable on a workout.
I left and it kept bothering me that this happened because it shouldn’t have happened. Rather than feeling support or encouragement (like I do with every other coach), I was left feeling like I failed to complete my workout for the day. And that really bothered me.
Other than this experience, I strongly recommend people to give it a try and really have patience on yourself on this journey of personal growth. This has done wonders to my physical and mental health and I find that this is an outlet for me to let out all of my stress for the day and get a step closer to what I want. I really do love this place!!

Although the coaches have changed and omg how I miss coach Nat, all the new coaches are just as good if not better even if you never see them dancing around like coach Nat did, they're all still awesome in their own way. I got enrolled into a 12 week program, I was told that I was going to have a personal account with a personalized workout and that I will be using that account to log in once I was at the gym, I enrolled on a Saturday and told that I was going to start my 12 week challenge next Monday, I got there on Monday and no one was aware that I enrolled for the 12 week challenge, coaches were very nice and guided me through the class, 2 days after that I received a message from my assigned personal coach to schedule my 1st one on one class ( I did 2 one on one clases) after that I kept on going about 3-4 days a week and kept asking the coaches for help because I was new to all of the CrossFit stuff ( they were always pleased to helped me) , after 3 or 4 weeks I decided to cancel my 12 week challenge program because I was still not knowing when the warm up was done or when the actual workout started what was metcon or amrap and other abbreviations that are common for CrossFit, at this point I wasn’t able to log in to my account because I was not registered in the system, I tried to call for help and even send messages To their Instagram account asking for help but never received an answer, the owner reached to me to get things clear and gave me a 3 month full acces to the gym ( at this point I had paid just $450 for the 12 week challenge) he offered me the last 3 one on one classes for free but I refused because at this point I felt a little uncomfortable going to the gym, all coaches and staff were very friendly and willing to make me comfortable with all the exercises...
I just didn’t get what I was told I was going to get, maybe a little more communication with all the staff and a little more attention to what they offer will help to new customers
...and I never asked for a refund $$$

This place is awesome! I went for a weekend drop in while exploring SLC and I felt right at home. There are so many areas to do your own thing it’s like an adult wonderland. Strength, mobility, 20 new bikes, several ropes, and tons of rigs and weights. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and it is open 7 days a week which works really well for my sporadic schedule.
If you don’t want to or can’t do the programmed workout you’re allowed to do open gym and work on your own terms which I also really appreciate. Classes are huge but never too crowded because the space is like a gigantic (but rather cozy feeling) warehouse. I cannot wait to become a member. Thanks for having me

For the past two years I have had a hard time with my mental health and I have tried so many different hobbies that I hoped would help bring a little joy into my life. It wasn't until I started working out at SLC CrossFit that I really started to feel like a whole new person. As dramatic and cheesy as that sounds, I have really found something that makes me feel great (mentally and physically). I signed up for the 12 week challenge at SLC CrossFit and although I am not all the way through yet, I know that I will continue to be a part of this gym because they are amazing! All of the coaches are great (working out with Eris in particular feels more like working out with a friend instead of a coach). The community is fantastic! 10/10 would recommend!

Started getting a little chubby last year, and when my wife said I had reached the optimal “cuddle body” I knew it was time to make a change. Started training with Coach Eris in December and graduated to group classes after that. Great decision! Feeling better than I have in a long time.
I have never worked out in a group setting before this, but I can honestly say it was the change I needed. Everyone is so friendly and supportive of one another. The coaching staff do a great job to warm you up for the workout of the day, and help you appropriately scale the workouts based on skill level.

I was really hoping this place would work out. First two sessions (intro and first workout) was great -- thanks Brock. But after not hearing back from emails asking to get started we showed up in hopes to either start the class or find out how to sign up. But we showed up 4 minutes after 6:00 am. The trainer was clearly frustrated but she did not have to be condescending, "you missed everything, bro" "you have to be on time if you want to workout here, bro" "do you have the green light to work out, bro?" It was clear we were new and didn't know what was going on. I get that the session starts on time, a simple we started already would sufficed. Also the first session we joined did not start on the hour on the dot, neither did the class after us. Joining CrossFit is intimidating enough, I don't need to be lectured in front of the whole class. We were willing to drop the hefty $500+ to get started but the whole experience quickly went sour. I have no interest in being in a place where your experience changes depending on trainers or waking up every morning wondering if I will have the rude and condescending trainer for that day, no thanks.

SLC crossfit helped me get active and back into CrossFit again after a couple of lazy college years. I learned that form and scaling are two of the most important things when it comes to working out. I was at my heaviest when I started in April and though I’m not in SLC right now I’ve stuck with CrossFit here in VA for the summer until I’m back in Utah in a month. Since April I have lost over 20 pounds and now I crave to go to the gym and see the community. I can’t wait to get back and show the progress I’ve continued to make!

I'm not one to usually leave reviews but I'm really truly happy with how SLC Crossfit has impacted my health in the short 5 months that I've been there. I'm a busy mom of two very energetic boys and I'd be lying if I said that they weren't the main reason for me to join. After hearing from my neighbors for years about how great SLCC was I finally decided to ignore how intimidated I felt and just show up, and now 5 months later I'm so glad I did! Amazing coaches, fun and welcoming community and workouts for all fitness level are just some of the things that kept me showing up day after day. I was boarder line pre diabetic, overweight and low energy when I started. Fast forward 5 short months I have the energy to chase my boys all day long, blood sugar levels normalized and shedded nearly 15lbs. SLC Crossfit has helped me show up for my health and I'm loving it! I'm proud to be a part of their great community. You guys rock!

Crossfit, and specifically the training I received at SLC Crossfit, has improved my physical health in so many ways. After just a few months I noticed changes in my endurance, lifting ability (of which I had none), and skills/mobility. But to focus only on the physical improvements would be missing out on the most important (and surprising to me) benefit I have gained from Crossfit: improvement in my mental health. As someone who’s struggled with perfectionism and anxiety related with that, Crossfit has taught me so many valuable lessons that have helped me refocus on what is truly important in a way nothing else has. It has taught me to focus on my physical ability, not physical appearance; to dig in and train my weaknesses, not hide them; to not shy away from failure but to use it as a platform to learn and improve. All of these lessons became an integral part of my training and, as a result, a part of my daily life.
